Beautiful spot. Glad we stayed here. Our only two complaints were the roosters crowing in the morning and they used scented laundry detergent on the sheets. Unscented would have been much better.

The room was smaller than I was lead to believe and not as many amenities as I was lead to believe. But the room was nice Bathroom was nice shower was good for a taller person like myself . The view was pretty good. I did enjoy my morning and evening on the patio. The resort was also nice clean and the staff helpful in most situations.

Had a very pleasant stay here during our week in Princeville. The space is small and could be improved with the addition of a microwave but location was great with access to the beach and pool + hot tub! Would recommend staying here.

The property itself is beautiful, the view from the room is stunning, the check-in process was quick and easy, and the bed was comfortable. However, there were a couple issues that would make me not stay in this unit again. When I arrived, the bathroom counter still had some dirt on it, but the rest of the place was clean, so maybe this area was just accidentally missed by the cleaners. I can get past a dirty counter, but the bigger problem was the noise issue. This unit and the one next to it share an adjoining locked door, and I haven’t had noise issues with previous places I’ve stayed at that have adjoining doors. But this one had absolutely no sound barrier at all, and unfortunately I had a very noisy family next to me with 3 young children. I could hear almost every single word of their conversations, every fight between the kids (and parents), and frequent crying/screaming from the kids. There was also construction taking place in the unit above me for 2 days that included buzzing and sawing for several hours on end. As you can imagine, neither of these situations offers the peace and quiet that most people are looking for while they’re on vacation. If you’re the type of person who only spends enough time in your hotel/condo to sleep and you’re out exploring the rest of the time, then I could see this unit being an okay fit for you. If you’re someone who likes to hang out in your hotel/condo more often, take afternoon naps, etc. then this probably isn’t the unit for you.

Very nice property! Only issues we had was having to fill water bottles from the tub and not having a microwave to reheat leftovers. Other than that it’s a solid place to stay on the north shore

Space is small but the view made up for it!
Next time will book a place with a full kitchen.
Pool and Spa at this resort are awesome!
Beach access is a nice walk or can be dropped off and picked up right on the beach from the golf cart service!
Over all enjoyed our stay and will definitely return but will rent a larger unit

The view from the lanai is beautiful! We often found ourselves reading books and looking at the mountains. All the employees on the property were very kind. The property is very hilly (which I think adds to the beauty) but walking can be tiresome. However, don't worry! There are employees all over in golf carts willing to drive you to where you need to go! The bed was comfy and the AC worked great and we had no problems while there. Hopefully we will be going back to Hawaii in the future, when we do we will definitely stay here again!

I would like to begin by saying that the Hanalei Bay Resort is a wonderful resort and it was my second time staying at this beautiful destination. That being said, the room I rented was ok but not the best the resort has to offer. When I first arrived after check in (which is a breeze) I found the room ok. Upon getting in I wanted to take a shower after a long flight. The shower rod with curtain fell on me when I first entered the shower. It took me a good 15 minutes to get it all set back up and I was already tired so this really annoyed me. The rod was already bent and the tension rod would not sit properly in place, then I had to hang the two curtain back on hooks because they all came off when it fell. When I looked into the tub I noticed that that black footprints were all over the tub. I looked at my feet and they were dirty from the floor of rental. I wore socks and shoes on the plane and only got barefoot while at the room. I wiped the tile floor with a rag and it came back black. Floors were swept but haven't seen a mop in a long while! I got over this as I was in one of the most beautiful places on earth and got a swimsuit on to enjoy the beautiful pool and hot tub. I ate at the Happy Talk restaurant and went back to the room. That is when I wanted to set up coffee pot for the morning, well, darn. No coffee pot. Coffee machine with no pot? Ok so I emailed manager. No coffee for my morning. oh well. I guess these are first world problems, but not a good start to a vacation. I got the pot the next morning about 10:00. The rest of my stay was gloriously uneventful. All in all the room is adequate but they do need to address the cleaning issue.

All three mornings there was a rooster, that was hanging around the building, that started crowing at 4:00 in the morning and didn't stop until at least 7:00 a.m. I called the resort the 2nd morning to complain and they would send security to check it out, but probably would not be able to do anything. Also, since the unit was privately owned, the resort did not have the ability to take care of any needs within the confines of the unit. They said that would have to be handled by the rental manager. Not very convenient.

The grounds of the resort are immaculate. the main pool is quite nice with water falls and larger than is typical. The beach in walking distance is quite nice with shade trees. The walk is rigorous up and down steep hills. If you don't want the exercise the resort will cart you down there. We had a wonderful time there.

The property is very nice. The unit we were in was not adequate. No kitchen. We could not fill a water bottle in the one sink in the bathroom as the sink is only 3 inches below the faucet. We had to fill a water bottle from the tub faucet.
