This was my very first vrbo rental and I was very skeptical. It was AMAZING. The realtor was very communicative at every step of the way and answered all my questions prior to renting and was very quick to resolve any issues once we got there.
The home is so wonderful - you lay in bed and see the ocean from the master and living room. Having such a large room was wonderful with 2 beds and 2 baths. The one room had twin beds so each of my adult kids had their own bed and I got the master lol! They had great a/c and fans in every room. The only thing I didn't find was any sugar (lol) - but everything else was there including an ice-maker! I will definitely rent again!

This condo was perfect for my wife and I, and our 2 teenage daughters. It's located on the North end of Kihei, close to everything we wanted to do. This ground floor unit has a nice patio that overlooks the park and ocean. It's a short walk to the water, on a beach that is nice for relaxing. The ocean here is shallow, and the beach has some rocks on it, but it didn't stop us from getting in the water. The complex has a great pool/hot tub area with multiple grilles for guest use. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui! Malinee was a pleasure to work with, and very responsive to requests. A great condo, host, and location!

Such an amazing place with an incredible view! Wow, malinee the property manager was very quick to answer, super efficient.
The checkin process was ok, you’ll be receiving a code to activate the door, but we were there earlier because of our flight advance and we couldn’t access the property. So we called malinee to ask her to let our luggages, she accepted, but the checkin time was a little bit late for us…
Overall the property is amazing with all you need: towels, beach towels, amenities, good wifi, beach front.

The condo was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a week stay while enjoying and exploring the whole beautiful island. It's a bit out of date regarding modern amenities, but well worth the price for a walk-out waterfront two bedroom condo with a pool, hot tub, grills and an amazing view.

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay here. The location was perfect, just a short walk across the lawn to the beach. Stunning sunset views. Want to see sea turtles? Just head out to the beach near sunset and walk to the left. The condo was quiet and well equipped. The bathrooms could use some updating, but they functioned just fine. Lots of good restaurants and food trucks are located nearby. Convenient central location that allowed us to explore the whole island. I wish there had been salt and pepper shakers and a box of Kleenex, but those are obviously very minor concerns.

I typed this huge review for the condo to help others out but VRBO's website is garbage and I could only post a fraction of it, so....the condo was very good. I went in depth on my other review explaining all the great things, but I cannot post that. The accuracy of the listing is accurate and the owner, Malinee, is wonderful.
Some things I would change...
-After waiting five hours to check in the room, the floor of the condo was not clean. My infant's legs were black from crawling on the tile floor the first day. I would have gladly cleaned the place better if I could have checked in earlier. I ended up cleaning the floor so my daughter could crawl around. The unit was clean, but they apparently did not mop the floor.
-The master bedroom has sheer curtains and it is insanely bright in there by 6a. That was terrible. There is no way to hang an extra blanket up there to block out light either. It's hard for my wife and I to sleep with any light so we were awake by 7a everyday. The room needs blackout curtains badly.
-The unit was poorly lit. The area by the front door is especially dark day and night and it is difficult to even see the keypad to enter the door Code. They have a few lights mounted on the ceiling, but they did not work. Inside the unit they use older yellowish bulbs. The lighting should be upgraded to 5k LED bulbs.
-Several of the wall power receptacles did not work. There should be USB ports or wireless charging stations mounted by the beds as well to update things. These are inexpensive, but would go a long way toward giving it a modern feel.
-The pool area closed at 9p every night. They legit had Security Guards there at 9p on the dot to kick people out. One night, I was grilling steaks for supper and not swimming. The guard made me leave at 9:03p before my steaks were done. I was shocked. This is pretty ridiculous.

This was a great place for me and my 2 teenagers. The view was amazing and it was nice to be on the ground floor. We had all the amenities we needed and the condo is close to stores and restaurants. It’s also only 20 min from the airport. We had a great stay!!!

Property was in a great location, first floor ocean view with a short walk across open space to the beach in a nice facility that welcomed vacation guests. Centrally located to everything on the Island. Unit could use some updating but it was very nicely equipped and everything worked just fine. Three A/C units (main room and both bedrooms) were great during sunny afternoons but we were able to open place up in evening and night for the ocean breeze. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

My family and I stayed here for two weeks and were pleased. The condo was pretty clean and well stocked with kitchen cookware, plate ware, and utensils. Everything worked and we had no reason to contact the host. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and had plenty of towels and a few other toiletries available for use. There was plenty of beach equipment and toys stocked in the unit as well. We went to Safeway, a few minutes drive, and bought some food and other things we wanted for our stay.
The sunset views from the lanai are fantastic and the park behind the unit is very nice. Beach access is easy and you can stroll for a ways in both directions. Swimming at this beach is not great as the water is murky and increases the chances for unwanted shark encounters but there are plenty of public beaches with clearer water a short drive down the road from the unit. At sunset, walking the beach to the south you can encounter sea turtles coming in for the evening.
This unit's central location on the island was perfect for us. We were 15-20 minutes from the airport and Kahului and some big box stores. 25-30 minutes from the west side towns or up country. There are a number of restaurants, food trucks, resorts, and beaches within a 5-15 minute drive south on Kihei Road.
The complex this condo is in is well maintained and the central pool, hot tub, and grills were very nice. The unit's AC functioned well and was much appreciated on some of the more humid days! If the trade winds are blowing you can open the front door of the unit, keep the screen door closed, and open the sliding glass door at the rear and you get a fantastic breeze blowing through to cool things down.
We really enjoyed our visit to Maui and this condo gave us an excellent and comfortable base to plan our daily adventures from!

We had a good, 9 day stay at this Kihei unit. At least for the first 7 days. I’ll get back to that.
After some glitches with the checkin, we were happy to find the unit very clean, just like the photos, and with that beautiful view! The ocean is about an 800 ft walk across the grass, and you can hear it from the condo! The sunsets are spectacular. The king bed in the master bedroom is comfortable.
The neighborhood is convenient, a quick drive (or walk, if you’re more ambitious) to restaurants, stores, and food trucks (these are excellent.) The Kihei vibe is low key and very friendly. Luana Kai is a very pretty, quiet complex. For the most part.
Back to day 7. We were awakened at 6 AM by the new ‘neighbors’: talking loudly on cell phones right in front of the lanai. This went on until we told them to keep it down. That didn’t help much. It was ‘party on the lanai.’ Later that day, we complained to the on site Luana Kai managers. I think something must have been said, because they did quiet down. Still, it makes you realize how vulnerable you are in a rental that is so close to the other units.
It didn’t spoil our trip, which was wonderful, but it did make us re-think where we’ll stay next time.

The views and sounds from the back patio are worth every penny. I was worried we’d see or hear the parking lot to the right but that was not the case. It feels secluded and like a slice of paradise. The grass is lush and the beach, although not as clear and swimmable as Makena Beach down the road, was perfect for sunrises and sunsets.
The actual condo isn’t the fanciest - it smells a tiny bit musty and needs better lighting. But it felt clean and I’m telling you, the views made us want to live there forever. Tips for future guests: if you turn off all the A/c units, the outside unit goes totally silent and you can enjoy the waves. Also, a nice bonus is that the living room sofa is a pullout couch (the manager said it wasn’t). Overall, we LOVED our stay here. So so happy we chose it for our Maui trip!

Loved this spot; fabulous to have a park between condo and beach. Wonderful heated pool. A few things to know: beach is lovely but water here is not good for swimming, there’s some nearby runoff and water always brown. However that meant the beach was almost always empty and great for beach walks - turtles nearby. Checkin is a hard stop: we arrived 30 min early but even with calling we had to wait for the timer to unlock the door. Great kitchen, everything we could need, great beach toys and chairs and boogie boards. Great view. Loved being ground floor for easy pool access for kids. Recommend!

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teen boys) enjoyed the 2 bedroom space. This ground floor unit is in a great location for the condo complex! No roads or parking lots to cross to get to the beach... walk through the grassy park and hit the sand. There are plenty of dining, grocery, etc. options nearby. The unit was very quiet for being ground level. 3 air conditioners and ceiling fans made for efficient cooling when we came back to this comfortable "home base". Property manager responded within minutes of each inquiry we had, so this made things even easier.

This condominium is exactly as described. The layout and location are perfect for families and romantic getaways both. The beach is viewable from the condo and reachable by a very short walk. The pool, sauna and spa are also just around the building corner. Beds were comfortable, unit is supplied with all necessities and many, many "niceties" such as beach toys, beach chairs/umbrellas, pickleball paddles and balls and coolers. The two bathrooms really make this a great space for families or multiple couples. Stores are short distance away for those who want to cook within the unit. The bbq grills and refrigerator at the pool area are added bonuses. Malinee is an excellent and very responsive host. You can't go wrong with this rental!

Beautiful condo with fantastic access to the beach. Two bedrooms with nice kitchen, large master w/on-suite bath and large ground level patio. We spent the last two nights of our trip here after starting on the west side of the island. This was a great way to wrap up our trip because this part of Kihei is super relaxed and less busy than up the road in the town center. Great choice for families and folks looking to relax on the beach.

Overall, the stay was very good. In terms of the unit, it had all amenities as described and we only had one minor lighting issue that was pre-communicated and taken care of a few days into our rental. Unit was comfortable though dated and needed some additional TLC. The Pool area had many built-in grills and kept clean. Finally the views were lovely but the only issue for us was the beach not being desirable. We took daily walks but water is brackish and has a deep slope with a strong undertow due to heavy tradewinds into the bay so not really kid friendly. We did see turtles resting on our nightly walks everyday which made it all worthwhile. Kihei is a central location, but I would go to the nearby beach state parks such as Polo Beach or Kamaole I-III where the beaches provide a lot more sandy areas to lay in and water is also better.

This place is clean and you have ocean right outside. Quiet neighborhood compared with city noice in Honolulu. Especially convenient with a in unit washer and dryer, and the pool side has a public fresh water place so that you can rinse off all your sands.

Stayed for a few days! Loved the park area directly in front of the patio. Unit comes with all kinds of beach equipment and pickle ball equipment to enjoy the facilities. If you want to go on a snorkel adventure, book days in advance and try for the mornings. The winds pick up around late morning. Unit was clean, well stocked, conveniently located. Great place to stay. Manager easy to work with and very responsive to any questions.

The property was nice and neat. Not huge, but it was just what we needed.
We loved that it was on the ground floor and had direct access to the back lawn. It was really great to not have to load everything into an elevator to go anywhere.
The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The Fridge had an ice maker that was super handy since we filled our water bottles a couple times a day with ice and water.
Every time we hit the beach from this rental we saw green sea turtles. Every time. Mid day, evening and even in the late night when we went for a stroll.
This ended up being in the perfect location, not just because it was a block away from Ululani's Snow Shack. Central to the Island and a 10 to 20 minute drive to anywhere we wanted to be.

We had such a great time in this super condo two years ago that we came back again. Our boys are two years older (3 and 5 years) and the condo is perfect for our family of four. There are lots of beach toys for the boys and the place is well-stocked with all the basics (condiments, toilet paper, etc.) It was so nice to have the washer and dryer in the condo. Also being on the ground floor facing the ocean is a wonderful bonus. We made good use of the pool, hot tub and outdoor barbecue. Malinee is so easy to deal with - when we had trouble with the entry code, she had it solved within a few minutes. Definitely our place to stay when we come back a third time!

This condo was really great for us, being on the ground level it was easy to access and come and go.
The view and sunsets were great and the pool area was really nice as well.
This condo came with a starter kit of TP.
There was laundry soap and also dishwasher pods.
Everything else we had to buy. Even coffee filters. Smallest pack available being 100 and we used 10 during our stay.
We would stay there again and just be more prepared next time.

The resort itself is quiet and very well maintained. Everyone we met (staff and guests/residents) was super friendly. Finding a parking spot was never a problem.
