The property it self is a bit dated as is most of Waikiki and ready for a pressure wash and some fresh paint.
All the basics are there. The view and pool is amazing and the adjacent property to the hawaiin village is great as well.
Totally safe day or night 7th floor unit is high enough and there is a lovely penthouse restaurant which serves breakfast lunch and diner.
The ride up the exterior glass elevator is exhillerating to say the least.
The management encourages pictures and to explore the restaurants layout with exquisite wine encased in various glass enclosures.
I nice deep clean with mr clean or something similar would really add to the arrival experience.
Without a doubt, booking 8-10 mins the in advance you’ll get the price u need and a vacation worth going on.
The beech chairs and umbrellas were a nice added touch.

Booking process with host was excellent .
First impressions were ok . Air con was very noisy . Ceiling fan was used after contacting host as to how it worked .
Very few dishes ,cups and towels and of mixed types and sizes .And we were only 2 . Too many face cloths . Bath towels very small .
Toilet rolls , kitchen roll , liquid soap and dishwasher tablets provided.
Overall we had a comfortable stay apart from the bedding which didn't fit and was extremely annoying . Sunbed on balcony was broken and dirty .

We spent 10 days here in Hawaii at this apartment. I think we lived on the balcony. As advertised it’s a great place to view the Friday night fireworks. Gets the morning sun and afternoon shade which is perfect. Mattress was very comfortable- always important on holidays. A/C is a little noisy but it works. Spacious for a studio apartment. Both a few of the beach and a quick walk to the beach. Swimming with the sea turtles at the beach was just a bonus

This is a great location with a great partial lagoon view! The host kept us informed and provided a great place to stay! You can’t beat the location, price, or the view. I would recommend staying here if you are considering vacationing in Honolulu.

We chose this location for a 10 night stay. Our family of four were very comfortable as my wife and I enjoyed the king bed and our teens used the sofa sleeper and smaller futon. The property manager always responded promptly when we had a question prior to the visit. From this unit there is a perfect view of Friday night fireworks at the Hilton Lagoon. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our 9-night stay at Ilikai apartment 730. The unit had everything we needed. It had toilet paper (3 rolls), paper towels (1 roll), dish soap, and dishwashing pods. The unit had 4 towels, 4 hand towels, and 4 washcloths. Extra sheets, blankets, hangers, a safe, baskets, and drawers for clothes were in the closet. No beach towels are included and very limited beach items. I believe there was a small beach umbrella, two chairs, and a boogie board. The AC unit was kind of loud but after a few days you got used to it. Take it off of "Saver Mode" and it works great and doesn't seem to be as loud. The curtains are very thin and are not blackout, so at night, it is very bright. The location was fabulous and a short walk to the beach, eateries, and of course, ABC Stores. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

We enjoyed staying her with such and amazing views and super easy acess to get to the beach. It was perfect size for our family of 3. Parking is difficult and can be expensive so we learned to park in the free parking during the day then more to the paid lot's at night. Other than that it was the best vacation our family has had. We would definitely stay again

The property was exactly as indicated and the pictures reflected the property. I have stayed at the Ilikai numerous times both thru the resort and spa side of the hotel and a number of vacation rentals. The location is perfect, you can see the fireworks from your balcony, the food pantry is a few block away on Holbron. The property was clean, the bed was very comfortable. There was a situation with the AC unit that brought security twice to my room - property manager dealt with it right away - the drip pan was not large enough so i had to empty the pan twice a day and change out some towels as the excess water was dripping to balconies below. The unit was partially updated (reflects the good price) really needs a good coat of fresh paint in the bathroom and bedroom. Other than that everything was great- I would definitely stay again in this room and have already recommended the unit

We’ve stayed at the Ilikai property many times. The location on the west end of Waikiki is far enough from the noise that we could enjoy peaceful time on our lanai after busy days. The property manager was communicative and helpful. Check-in process was simple and effective. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay and would not change a thing. The location was amazing, and everything was as expected and as advertised. We moved away from Oahu 7 years ago. Having lived on the island previously for my entire life, this was as close to home as you can get and I hope to stay here again. Oh and the fireworks!!! Do not miss!!!

We stayed in unit 730 mid-October - mid-November 2022. The condo is nice and was clean. The fireworks are back, so the view of that is spectacular from the lanai as is the daytime view. The lanai is a decent size. The unit has all the needed dishes and cooking utensils, the dish washer was also a nice feature. The only drawback for us is the Ilikai does not have BBQ's but the pool area and the rest of the hotel in general is great! Dealing with Mariko at Aska is also a pleasure.

THIS is how you do Hawaii as a family! Since I used to live close to this area of Honolulu, I had an insider perspective that the Ilikai was the place to stay to have access to the best of everything, while staying within budget. This condo definitely exceeded our expectations! We had a fabulous stay in the Ilikai Apartment #730 for 8 days! I'll name a few of my favorites about this place, but there really are too many to name. The balcony view is spectacular. Coffee in the mornings, sunsets in the evenings, cocktails and meals while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. Fireworks every friday can be seen from the balcony. The location is perfect. Walking distance to all the happenings of Waikiki, Ala Moana beach and Ala Moana Mall. Skip renting a car and paying for parking because Uber is so easy from here. Laundry is on the same floor. Super cute Ice cream shop and a mini-mart/gift shop in the lobby. Cinnamon's restaurant in the lobby. BEAUTIFUL outdoor lobby to gather in. Just steps away from a super chill lagoon that has water biking, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, shrimp truck/shave ice and picnic areas. TWO beautiful pools on site that are perfect for kids or for lounging that were surprisingly NOT crowded! We found the King size bed to be super comfortable. The fold out sofa mattress was of great quality. Plenty of bedding/towels. Fully stocked kitchen for all cooking needs. Welcome kit of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, bathroom soap, sponge and trash bags was very much appreciated. Very easy to schedule grocery delivery to the Ilikai. Plenty of space for our family of 4! And lastly, you cannot beat the price! I will be recommending this condo to all of my friends!

I have stayed at the Ilikai for over 20 years and always in a condo. This is my first time using this company.
The bathroom needs a paint job and some hooks on the wall for towels and house coats.
I also think there should be a bar of soap and a small shampoo and conditioner. These are just minor details because really the condo had everything we needed.
Will certainly consider their units in future

The unit is adequately furnished with cooking and eating utensils/equipment. Full-sized refrigerator with an excellent freezer compartment. 4-burner stove and microwave (with fading numbers, but works fine). Dishwasher, but no dishwasher soap provided. Dish soap, sponge and dish rack were provided and worked just fine for us. King bed is on box springs and with coiled-spring mattress that is reasonably comfortable. Linens are nice quality. Towels adequate for two people. Bathroom is small, but has nice shower and bidet feature on toilet. Living area has comfortable couch (hideabed), chair and coffee table. TV has generous number of channels. Lanai has table, two chairs and lounge chair, and has a view of the ocean and very active beach area, but is otherwise surrounded by high-rise hotels. Hilton Hawaiian Village is directly opposite. Pool areas look nice, but we didn’t use them. The biggest downside is the noise. Constant sounds from HVAC’s from closely surrounding hotels, traffic and waterfalls at the Hilton. The noise made it unpleasant to be on the lanai or to keep the sliding door open. There is one ceiling fan over the bed and an air conditioner in the corner by the bed that barely cooled the unit. Parking onsite is expensive, but there is nothing but paid parking in the vicinity. There is apparently very good bus service in this area, also taxis and Uber.
All that being said, we are not big city people, so will likely not come back to Honolulu.

Both the beds were uncomfortable especially the pull out bed. The mattress was very hard and the pillows were flat. The view was great but the place was smelly and not that clean. The kitchen cabinets stink and as well as the sheets and blankets that were provided.

I was sold on this unit based on the title and pictures (FIREWORKS VIEW FROM LANAI). This was complete FALSE advertisement and I feel like I paid aa premium for this room based on the title. We were there for 12 day and 2 Fridays and there were ZERO fireworks. Also, I feel like the unit owner did not provide much with respects to SOAP, TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWELS and the basic essentials that have always been supplied at previous AB&B rentals. The unit was in good condition and the general experience was positive. I just wish the UNIT OWNER would have disclosed or did not advertise falsely about the FIREWORKS as I probably would have gone with a less expensive unit had I known that there was not going to be included in our visit. I did enjoy the Ilikai property and the building was surprisingly nice based on its outer appearance of being older. I just hope that people read this review so you are not as disappointed as we were as this was our first vacation in over two years and we were really looking forward to the FIREWORKS which is 100% the reason we went with this unit. I am guessing I could have saved $50 per night with a mountain view room. Future renters: If the price is right for you then you will enjoy the unit. Just note there are NO FIREWORKS!!! It will sleep 4 (beds not very comfortable). One KING old mattress and 1 pull out couch with super thin mattress. Bathroom and kitchen are average. To be honest I would stay there again if the price was a little better as the management company was very kind and the Lanai is large and the size is right for my family. ***ALSO, WE HAD CONSTRUCTION DISRUPTION WHICH WAS NOT DISCLOSED AND HAD OUR WATER TURNED OFF IN THE UNIT WHICH YOU CAN IMAGINE IN HAWAII CAN BE ROUGH WITH NO WATER (CANT GO TO THE BATHROOM OR SHOWER OR USR THE KITCHEN OR WAS YOUR HAND ETC...******THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF VENT IN THE SHOWER THAT APPEARED TO HAVE A LOT OF BLACK MOLD******JUST CHANG

We picked this place specifically because of how close it is from the beach and lagoon for our toddler and senior mom. We were also expecting fireworks but due to covid the fireworks has been suspended for more than a year now and should be taken out of the title or noted on the listing. The two pools were a great option. The ice cream shop downstairs was great. Cinnamons Restaurant was ok and can be a bit pricey. I like that our room is close enough to the elevators and the laundry room but not close enough to be loud. They even had a salsa band playing one Sunday which got a lot of people dancing.
The Ilikai is an older building but this specific unit has been remodeled. Lots of dishes, utensils and pots and pans for use. They provided a small bottle of hand/dish soap and a couple of paper goods for our 12 night stay (we needed to buy more). The toilet with bidet was great and good shower pressure. They only have valet parking for $28/night which we used for a couple nights then we were able to find parking by the marina with some patience. Being on the 7th floor can sometimes be annoying when using the elevators because it can be full of people already going down. We’ve used the bathers elevator sometimes and the stairs was a good option if you’re up for it.
We drove around a lot with our rental and would likely stay somewhere else than Waikiki next but this is a decent place to stay close to the beach, Ala Moana mall and it’s not in the middle of downtown Waikiki.
