The property was beautiful. Gardens were a tropical delight & our apartment on the ground floor was private & tranquil. The apartment itself was spacious & had 2 bathrooms, which was a big plus for 3 women. It also had a washer & dryer & more than enough towels, both bath & beach.
The pool & tennis courts were great & we had parking right at the front door. It was an easy drive into town. The kitchen had everything we needed & we found games & puzzles in the cupboards too, which we used.
The only negative was that there was no wine glasses, but we made do, it was a small issue. It was a last minute booking for us only 3 days before we left Australia & the information for check came through within a few minutes of us booking. It couldn't have been more prompt. I'm a regular visitor to Kona & will definitely stay again!

The property location is really good as it's just minutes away from kahalu bay and magic sands beach . The property itself has a shoreline access (no beach access) for sunset views.We travelled with 2 kids and the lawns that extend from the patio were a boon to us.
The property comes equipped with dish washer, washer and dryer plus basic utensils, it also provided guests with boogie boards , snorkelling masks and life jackets which we found to be really thoughtful.
One gripe is that it gets hot even with the standing fan provided. Other properties with similar pricing offers air conditioning. The property manager is reachable however there is certain amount of delay in communication and it's not instantaneous.
Overall a very pleasant stay . Would recommend especially for the location and proximity to the beaches .

I don’t usually leave reviews like this because we are pretty mellow people, but hopefully this will help the owner to make improvements to keep their ratings up and guests returning as it’s in a great location. We stayed four nights though and there were some issues. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels. There was only one extra full roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra rolls of paper towels. The closet door in the main hallway fell on my daughter when we opened it and there was a missing part to rehang it. There weren’t any containers with lids to put extra food in. And the owner said he would bring us a new tv since the one there wasn’t working and he tried to fix it as well. He was a really nice person, but he never brought a new tv that we were aware of because we couldn’t get the tv to work, and he never let us know if he actually did replace the tv. We just wanted to have a movie night on our vacation. On the flip side, we were able to check-in early and the owner did respond to our call right away.

The place was comfortable and the gardens are exceptional. Lack of ac only problem the day one person had to stay home sick. AC is nice, but if only evenings and mornings it is okay without. The floor made all our soles of our feet dirty, but maybe that due to all the sand that is so easily carried in.
Managers replied to questions quickly, which was nice.

We were very excited about this location and accommodation.
While visiting the islands of Hawaii, we stayed on 3 different islands and had 3 types of accommodations. This was our least favorite stay. We expected no AC, but also expected to have windows in working condition in order to have outside air coming in to cool the place in the evening. I repeatedly asked for help with the window in the guest room- it would not open. Screens throughout the condo are ripped or had no screen at all, creating 2 issues: bugs and no airflow. The only window with shades that work are in the kitchen and front guest room.
We clearly stated we had 5 guests and expected to use the sofa bed, but could not as a result of broken and no window coverings in the living room. My teen, in order to get some sleep, used a foam mattress pad on the ceramic floor of the shared, sweltering guest room. This is not what we expected nor paid for! No curtains = complete lack of privacy from the neighbors that like to play frisbee every morning. In addition to no privacy, no curtains means no possibility of keeping the sun from heating the place during the day.
Re cleanliness- not one place we stayed asked us to strip beds or remove trash. Isn't that covered in part of the cleaning fee? When we arrived, the freezer was not cleaned out. It had food from previous stay still in it. While the place appeared very clean, the floors are filthy, as evidenced by looking at the bottoms of your feet, socks or slippers. after walking indoors. White towels are not white- more like gray and stained. Some towels are ripped/torn. Pillows are old and lumpy. White towels and lumpy pillows should be replaced.
We did appreciate all the beach gear and found it to be very useful. We were also thankful to have found the foam mattress. Kitchen is well stocked. I was impressed that the wifi issue was quickly addressed.
We tried very hard to remain positive (we are in Hawaii after all!) and are a pretty easy going family, but these issues really need attention. I seldom write negative reviews, but I read them in hopes of honest feedback. I wanted to provide that. When spending $$$ on a dream vacation, you want your stay to be pleasant. Once these issues I mentioned are addressed, this place could be pretty close to great.

I stayed at this unit for a week in September. It's got a nice master bedroom, a smaller bedroom with two beds for the kids, two lanais with beautiful green views, two bathrooms, and all the fixings! Floor is tile throughout, which is an excellent choice. Appliances are updated.
Some things to mention: there's no A/C in this one, but there are fans in every room. If you or your loved ones are the type that can't take the heat, you'll want to spend more time at the pool or ocean rather than inside. It can get hot and humid! Second: there will be bugs. Not a lot, but this is Hawaii, and if you've never been here, you might be shocked to see a cricket or cockroach zip by on the floor. This isn't a reflection on the property--the owners of these condos take great care to spray on a regular basis--it's just part of island life! Besides those critters, you'll also see green geckos outside on the walls and little mongooses in the bushes (don't worry! Neither will get near you)!
What's important: the slice of ocean that this resort sits on is stunning. It's got its own private beach that you can walk down to if you want to see the sun rise and set. The shore is a mix of rock and sand (more ideal for snorkeling than swimming), and when the tide goes out, you can sometimes see the turtles feeding in the tide pools, and a whole colony of sea urchins and fish. The resort is in a good location, with food shopping right up the road and tourist shopping 5 minutes away.
Verdict: this condo is a great price for its size and what it offers, especially for people with kids, but if you're looking for luxury, you'll want one of the ocean-view condos with A/C. Just be aware that you'll be paying over 350 dollars a night for one of those. Either way, enjoy!

The property was a decent base for our adventures all over the island. While we thought it was a good property, there were a few things we would have liked better. One, there is no AC; two, it seemed like the closets were full of stuff and not organized; and three, the cleaning fee seemed to be high.

Location of the property is great. Downstairs right next to a golf course which allowed for kids to run around. Golf course closes at 5:30 so it’s basically wide open to walk out on and play a couple holes. Brand new stacked washer and dryer which were very nice. Kitchen knives were complete hazards with how dull and cheap they are. Nearly cut a finger off numerous times trying to use them. Biggest complaint with place first is no air conditioning. It was uncomfortably hot at night and their fix for this is 2 oscillating fans on the floor which weren’t that useful. Secondly, not sure if people upstairs were permanent residents or not but I think they were, the gentleman would wake up EVERY morning at 4:30 and stomp across the floor back and forth multiple times. No idea what was going on but it was horrible and woke me up every single morning. They did allow for early checkin with no problems since our flight arrived earlier than planned so we appreciated that. They have plenty of toys and snorkel stuff to use and the location is right down the road from our favorite snorkeling beach.

It's a great property with quite a few cosmetic upgrades. Comfortable and perfect for my mom, sister and I to use as a home base for our snorkeling adventures. We had a small problem with the refrigerator, but Craig (property manager) was very responsive and addressed our concerns. I would stay in this VRBO again.

Great property! Well-stocked, good location, and great amenities (pool, tennis courts, BBQ grills, pavilion). Lanai opens to large lawn with beautiful landscaping. Would definitely stay here again!

we were three generations of female adults. beautiful private patio with garden view, nice for our happy hour and breakfast.. easy walk to pool. grocery store and a hawaiian BBQ restaurant very close . easy parking in front. close enough to downtown to listen to music in the evenings. no beach or ocean view.
