In the past we have rented other houses in the area. This house exceeded all of our expectations. The backyard is a wonderful combination of sun and shade. We had everything we needed, towels, dishes, paper goods. We purchased the resort amenities, there is no need we didn’t want to leave the house. Can’t wait to come back

This is the third stay we've had in a Waiulaula Villa. They've all been lovely. They all have a similar layout, the big differences being the decor and the location. This one was decorated well. The only complaints I have would be the chairs by the pool were wooden, so not super comfortable, and the blankets on the beds were very thin and mattresses were very firm. Minor complaints and didn't impact our stay, but thought worth mentioning. Donna was great, and the home was beautiful!

This is our 2nd time in Wai Ula Ula and again - we had the best vacation. Donna was super responsive and we especially appreciated that our resort cards were picked up for us due to our late arrival time. We will definitely come back!

It’s funny that my last VRBO review (August) I wrote “I have never been in a property as well stocked as this”. Now I have to correct as THIS is the most well stocked property I have ever experienced. Do not make your first grocery run without checking things out first. Any kitchen appliance or utensil that you may think you will need is already there. Paper/plastic goods in abundance. Spices/oil galore. BBQ was excellent (Wolf like the kitchen burners- 1st class). All kinds of plastic ware for out by the pool, in the hot tub or on the lanai,,, places where we spent an abundance of time especially at sunset. Place is immaculate and beyond comfortable. Donna the prop Mgr is an excellent communicator and was on top of every request/issue in a very timely manner. We would love to stay here again

What a lovely property! This was definitely the area on the island to stay!! The home was very spacious and so well stocked (cookware, appliances, laundry products, cooking essentials, etc). Loved the outdoor shower! Our favorite times were chilling on the lanai in the late afternoons.… cooking dinner on the outdoor grill, having drinks by the pool and watching a fabulous sunset! We chose to pay for the resort fee and visit their properties for the beach and snorkeling which was great fun. Be mindful that there is no shuttle so you really need a car available to go to the beach. Donna was fabulous to work with and always responded to anything I asked, which were several questions. Thanks for opening this beautiful home to guests!

The property was perfect and had almost everything we needed. Donna was amazing took care of all our questions and needs. The only negative would be the Jr master bedroom did not get much AC and could kitchen use more glasses, not a fan of plastic. Everything else was A+! We will definetly rent again next year.

The layout of these Wai Ula Ula duplexes are so great for families traveling together. Everyone gets a suite that feels like a Primary suite. Super comfortable environment for sleeping, cooking and lounging which made us feel like we were at our home. The outdoor area is really set up well for dinners, entertaining and sunning. Had really nice views of ocean, sunsets and the golf course from the backyard. Our manager Donna was really nice and communicated very well. Definitely would book this unit again. Aloha!

Stayed 12 days, loved every minute. Beautiful home, very comfortable, well appointed, wonderful pool/hot tub. Ocean views/sunsets amazing. Really enjoyed resort access. A+++ stay.

This house has a nice, large layout that allowed everyone to have their own “master suite” type area. Plenty of room to hang out in the main area or on the patio. The kitchen has everything - from a bunt cake pan to all the spices you need for grilling. I appreciated those details.
Overall, we found the place to be a welcome retreat at the end of the day from our adventures. Glad we had a pool/hot tub to finish off the day.
Highly recommend getting the pass to use the two hotel spaces/beaches. It is the perfect hybrid of all the fun but then you get a better living space, at a better price than staying at the hotel.

This was our second time renting a home in the Wai’lua’lua development at Mauna Kea as we love how quite and beautiful it is.
The house had plenty of room for our family and we took advantage of all the great amenities of Wai’lua’lua and the Mauna Kea resorts.
Donna, the Property Manager, made the rental experience smooth and efficient, and was extremely responsive to our requests.
If you love beautiful beaches, this is the place for you. We will return.

We loved virtually all aspects of this villa. The patio area was awesome for cooking, dining, and just lounging around, with wonderful views of the sunset. It was nice having golf course views, yet with a lot of privacy. We also appreciated the way the kitchen was stocked, with nearly everything you might need for cooking and dining. We will definitely consider staying again in the future!

From the minute we walked into this home we knew we made the right choice. Ambiance, location and amenities were exactly what we needed for a long awaited getaway to our favorite island. Donna and team were helpful every step of the way and available for any questions. Location to the resorts and activities were convenient. It is not a question of “if” we will return but “when”. Spent the week with the family at this excellent property. Each bedroom had their own bathroom which made for exceptional space and privacy. The kitchen was large enough to prepare any meal. The backyard bbq was perfect for cooking steaks and burgers while also enjoying the sunset. While the pool was on the smaller side, it was a nice addition when needing a quick cool down after laying out on the lawn chairs.
The owners also include access to both the Westin and the Mauna Kea Resort which made for plenty of beach and pool time!

This property is everything and more. Very well stocked kitchen, lovely outdoor space and pool. Very comfortable beds and lots of towels.
We stayed in for a relax day on Thursday and the gardeners, pool cleaner and garbage all happened while we were at the villa. Just be aware that it’s a busy day.
Wonderful time was had by all and I will definitely stay again when I’m lucky enough to return to the big island

Our family had a wonderful vacation at this villa. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the spacious rooms and beautiful lanai and pool. The kitchen was awesome to cook in -- very well stocked with utensils and pots/pans. We enjoyed the beach and pool access at the two hotels, and also used the local gym and pool. A special treat is the outdoor shower off the larger master. Highly highly recommend!
