This was a wonderful place for my family on our recent trip to Maui. Not only is the location amazing, but the view is unbeatable. We often saw turtles and spent our evenings stargazing over the ocean. The property was clean and well stocked. My kids loved the pools and the walk to the beach was easy. Sometimes, nearby parking got a little tight, but there’s nothing the property owner could do about it- just something to plan for if you have a lot to carry in. We loved this property and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful unit with the best view of the ocean at the resort. We needed a new coffee maker so I called the property manager and we had one delivered right away. Great customer service.

Loved that the condo was right next to the ocean, also the beach chairs were nice. There was easy access to food with the food trucks next door and the fish market was our favorite place to order food from. We had a car rental so if we didn’t want to swim at the beach next door there were a lot to choose from on that side of the island.
I payed the extra $20 to have the bed in the front room made into 2 twin beds but it was just the one when we arrived. I emailed the property manager and they apologized and said it would be taken care of by housekeeping but it never was. We knew to keep all of our food in the fridge and took out the garbage every night but we still saw a couple of cockroaches. We went to Maui with a group of 15 so we had 4 condos between us all at the Papakea Resort and they all had a couple of cockroaches. I guess this a common pest here so even though it gave me a bit of a surprise I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

This property is exactly as described. You cannot get any closer to the ocean. Watching whales every morning while enjoying coffee on the balcony was our favorite thing to do in the unit. We brought binoculars and were happy to see this property had them for us to use as well.
Beds were very comfortable. Linens were nice. There were plenty of pillows on the bed.
Communication with the manager was excellent. The beds in the second room weren't set up in twins. One text message and it was fixed asap. We couldn't figure out how to start the ac. It is clearly stated in the welcome book that we didn't notice until the second day. It was so nice to have ac in all rooms of the unit.
We cooked many meals in the kitchen. It was pretty well stocked with pots and pans. There was even some olive oil and spices to use.
It is located within walking distance to a local grocery store, a short drive to Whaler's Village, as well as Kapalua area beaches.
Boogie boards, beach chairs, and nice beach towels were provided.
We spent the Christmas holiday with tans and smiles. It was truly a dream come true.
We are already planning a return trip. I would rent from this company again. They were easy to work with.

Not only did we have dinner and drinks every day watching the sunset from our balcony, but we had easy access to a decent beach and snorkeling. We even saw turtles and a Hawaiian Monk Seal.
The condo is comfortable and we kept the balcony doors open during the day. The AC was great for sleeping. Located close to a grocery store, restaurants and a food truck court, the condo was well stocked and even had a variety of spices and other cooking necessities.

The view was absolutely gorgeous I loved waking up every morning watching the sun come up and the waves in the boats float by. And in the evening watching the sunset we had the perfect spot for that. We loved our week-long stay at L206 just steps from the ocean. The view was spectacular! We watched whales breach and enjoyed the soothing sound of the surf. The grounds are lovely and never too crowded. This is our second stay at Papakea Resort; we will definitely return.

Overall, we had a great stay and experience. The property was as described. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to use the pickle ball courts at night, they were never busy. Location was quiet which was nice. The only issues we had was with one of the beds that had slats underneath the bed that kept falling out and the WiFi not working for the first few days. They eventually were able to resolve the issue with the WiFi, but the bed never got fixed. It was still usable, you just kept hearing the slats falling out and by morning only a couple would be remaining.

We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this unit. We are a family of six, with 4 teenagers and we were very comfortable here. Prior to arrival, at our request they broke one of the king beds down to two twins for the boys and the girls shared the pullout which was a good size. Our master bed was also incredibly comfortable! All the rooms had AC which we really appreciated and helped us get a good night sleep. The view can't be beat! You are so close to the ocean that from the kitchen it looks like you are in a houseboat and the sunsets from the balcony are amazing! We loved opening the slider doors and listening to the waves. The unit had everything we needed to make our stay at the beach easy: beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, insulated cooler/bag, umbrella, snorkels, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with all the right tools and we were able to grill one night down at the pool while the kids played putt putt. There is no sandy beach in front of the condo, which I was a little worried about but it was totally fine. There is a little bridge to cross and you're in the sand within 25 feet of the hotel lawn. We drove down to a public parking spot and walked the beach walk to Whaler's Village one morning (about 4 miles or so round trip). We also had breakfast twice at Dukes, which is very near the resort and so good! We enjoyed the location of the condo which was a little to the north of the busy hotel strip but still very accessible (and shaved ice is just across the street)! Scott was a wonderful property manager and was very welcoming and attentive. We would definitely stay here again!

I have been coming to Maui with my family for the last 35 years, and have stayed in a variety of locations and condos. This might very well be my favorite. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I don't think you could be any closer to the ocean - we saw a pod of dolphins swim by. Lots of beach towels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel equipment in the closets. AC in all rooms to keep you cool. New beds and appliances. The property is also well maintained. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, gas grills and putting greens. Although there is no beach at this property it was a 2 minute walk from our unit along the water to the small beach in front of the property next door. At low tide you can go out past the sea wall and explore the tide pools left behind. The property is within walking distance of a grocery store and lots of great food options. My only complaint is that there isn't much shade at the pool, though there is a large pergola with tables and chairs that you can hide out in if you need a break from the sun. The property managers were responsive and friendly when we had a couple (minor) issues. All-in-all a wonderful place to call home for a week.

You cannot beat the Papakea! Perfect location, right on the water with a nice little beach next door. You can walk to Kaanapali, the grocery store, etc. The pool, tennis, golf, and shuffleboard are easily accessible.
