The condo was clean and nice enough. The property management was super helpful and a real pleasure to work with. The location of the property was ok. Easy access to everything. We had a good time.
My only wish was that our view of the ocean would have been better. This is a corner unit that is sorta off to the side so the view wasn't as good as it could have been.
I have only one complaint, the condo was right on S Kihei St. and was very loud with the windows open.

Very comfortable unit with great views of the ocean. The only issue was the traffic noise since this unit is the closest to the road (end unit). Overall, it was great!

The location is amazing; it’s very walkable, great beach, great roof top view, seeing the turtles daily in the protected area was amazing!
The accommodations are a little dated and uncomfortable. We lost water access for 4 hours the first morning we were there. The manager was helpful, but did not see the same sense of importance on the issue that we did. There were a lot of guests that got partial refunds from their VRBO or Air B&B bookings, we were not one of those as it was not offered. She offered a temp use of a sort of clean unit across the street for restroom access.
The road noise was a lot, between that and the comfort of the beds; sleeping was difficult.
The view off the balcony is amazing! But the comfort of enjoying that is ruined by the old air conditioning unit that makes the balcony very hot and noisy when running and for some time after.
The rules of the management company or the building (not sure which) seemed a bit much. There are quiet hours for laundry, and notes about plumbing, use of air conditioning, etc. I understand that there is a balance in protecting and using someone else’s property but it’s also a service provided that we are paying for. The notes/reminders all over the inside of the condo are some what condescending.
The windows are very old and the cooling unit runs ice cold and doesn’t regulate the temp at night well.
Overall, it was an ok stay, but not a unit that we will use again.

Family had a great visit at the property. Great communication with management. Amazing Indian food at the restaurant on the property. Only downside is the street noise (property is on the end of the complex next to the two lane road) but after a night or two we got use to it.

This was a wonderful property for our holiday vacation. It was clean and roomy for our family. The rooftop is a great area for watching beautiful Maui sunsets. The property management was helpful and quick to respond to questions that came up. I highly recommend this condo.

The property is well kept, a very well equipped kitchen and centrally located. It has a beautiful side view of the ocean but it is not ocean front. It is located on a main road and the building being built the way that it is with the apartment at the very edge, this apartment is subject to all the noise from the traffic. The balcony has a beautiful side view of the ocean but the car and motorcycle noise is such that you cannot even hear the ocean when you are trying to enjoy peace and quiet at the balcony. This is a real shame because the side view is beautiful. The traffic noise begins as early as 5 am. We made it work and stayed for 6 days and basically spent most days outside the property. The Indian restaurant on property has great food and beautiful sunset views.

Wonderful beach out front and to the side; turtles in fish pond out front - great location; beautiful sunset from the balcony. Kitchen has almost all conceivable equipment. The condo is spacious. Separate air conditioning in each room - a plus! … would book again - mahalo!

We enjoyed our stay here, it was nice. It was right on the beach and easy to access. The condo was clean and nicely decorated and comfortable. The laundry facilities in unit were great. The AC worked great. All in all, we liked it here and enjoyed our stay, we would stay here again.

Wonderful condo. Fantastic mattress on king bed. Very well equipped, even beach chairs and ice chest. Beautiful views of the beach and sunset. Only downside is that other than the Indian restaurant on site, you must drive to go out to eat but less than 10 minutes to many good places.

Beautiful location! The unit is on the end so the noise of traffic was heard throughout the day and night but it was not a concern at all. Everything about the condo was wonderful. Fully equipped, excellent breezes, good location. This was my first trip to Hawaii and I can’t imagine thinking of booking any other condo or resort on Maui. Mahalo!

Online picture of beach looks beautiful, reality very very dirty. Saturday was very windy, all the dirt and debris would blow into condo when open the door. Air condition kept tripping off. Very hot !!! Owner needs to get a real electrician on the property immediately before a fire happens. Also need a fumigation, condo has ants!!! Walter in the Kitchen does not flow, it spits. The facets need to be replaced a decade ago. Over all , very poor maintenance!!! Condo is rundown....Shame on all of you.

We stayed at a different condo complex in Kihei a few years ago. Any time we wanted to go to the beach it was a big ordeal, having to pack everything up and walk across the street. This time, staying at Menehune Shores it was so amazing to walk down the stairs, down a hallway, and you could see the beach! And it was a beautiful sandy beach. One day we even saw sea turtles lounging around. The condo was nicely appointed (although we couldn’t find a toaster), but it had everything we needed. I loved sitting on the lanai reading a book. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and I would definitely stay here again. Road noise could get a little loud (but I think there was extra traffic because of some road construction/detours) so if that bothers you, bring earplugs.

The parking spots were super tight. The unit is an end unit on a very busy street so car noise was nonstop, very loud, especially at night even with windows closed. The elevators are located in the middle of the complex, so being on the end was very inconvenient especially since you needed a key to use the stairwell, which was annoying. Crazy winds rip through this bay everyday like clockwork, I wish I had known this, so dont bother trying to use an umbrella especially during lunchtime. This is probably why the pool area doesn't provide umbrellas either. The bathrooms in the unit were a little run down, and there was some hair when we arrived, but otherwise the unit was ok, nothing spectacular. The indian restaurant located in the complex was amazing, and their view is great also. The little bay beach had turtles in it everyday resting, it was so cute! They should mention this in the description since we were looking for them all over and realized they were right in our back yard! Pool area was nice, except for when the winds started ripping through. The location was ok, close to a lot of shops and food, but nothing was walkable and the road was not safe for biking. Overall it had everything we needed for the price, but would not stay in this area again due to the winds and car noise.

Great place, nice breezes through the windows and doors. Didn’t even need air conditioning!
Would be nice to have a swiffer mop and cleaner to keep floors a little fresher. Vacuum needed cleaned out (yuck).
Linens and beds, all furniture was great! Plenty of dishes and flat wear, etc. nice variety of appliances to use.
Property is kept clean, walkways mopped every day, landscaping is great, and well maintained. Really nice overall property!

There was still towels in the dryer, no towels on the towel racks, airconditioning in bedroom did not work, TV in bedroom did not work. The deadbolt was taped over with tape with a big sign do not lock deadbolt.

Property is at the quiet end of Kihei Rd but a short drive to beaches, groceries etc. Needs a fresh liner for one shower curtain but that’s not a big deal. Comfortable beds and lovely sheets. Would absolutely stay here again.

The unit was in a good location. Supplies and description of the unit was as described in the listing. Some of the beach supplies could use replacement. The washer machine was very noisy. Other than that, we really enjoyed everything. I would recommend this property. We enjoyed walks on the beach and swimming. The beach there was never really crowded. One morning we saw a bunch of sea turtles laying on the sand. Most of our days we were out and about exploring and doing other things, but it was a perfect location to enjoy our evenings and meals. We even BBQ'd a few times. Also, the unit was solid. Never heard any neighbors through the ceiling or walls. It was very peaceful. Thank you for opening your place to us. We enjoyed it. It was not our first time in Maui, but it was the first time for our friends that joined us. They had an amazing time as well. Mahalo

This property was perfect for us. It has a beautiful view, was clean and had everything we needed. The A/C was a bonus and we only used it at night when sleeping. We have no complaints, all thumbs up and would definitely stay here again.

The sunset view here is spectacular! The condo had everything you needed and more. Beds and pillows were comfy and kitchens was stocked. I would say that as a corner unit you could hear the cars pass by all night. The property has a really good Indian restaurant that you can walk to, which is pretty cool. We enjoyed our stay here :)

The unit is on the end of the building so no one walks past your door or windows. Other reviews complained about traffic noise but this stops at about 10 pm so we were able to sleep with the windows open. Enjoyed the rooftop picnic/barbecue area and the sheltered beach.

Menehune Shores was so much more than we expected. Perfect for young families, on a beautiful beach with sea turtles close by. It even has a fabulous restaurant on the grounds. Quiet, Clean, easy to get to from airport. I Would definetly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Maui.

Love this place, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (no bathtub if looking for one) Love that there was an AC unit in the living room and each bedroom along with ceiling fans. We turned off the AC during the day while we were out and when we would get back to the condo it was still nice and cool inside! It is a end unit so there are extra windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms to get that nice island breeze! So many beach chairs, mats, and toys available for use. I loved this condo and will definitely stay here again!

This is a nice updated condo. The king bed is an awesome perk and having a queen and twin in the 2nd better made for more sleeping options. This condo is located on the far end of the building so the view of the ocean isn’t as direct as if you were in the center of the building. Awesome beach attached to the property and it’s a perfect place to paddle or skim board. Unfortunately, the property manager for the entire condo does not allow rentals to be stored on property so that makes it tough to have equipment for your entire stay. There are lots of restaurants and shopping options about a 10 minute drive away. We were disappointed that we couldn’t get a late check out without being charged extra.

They have supplied the condo with plenty of beach toys and snorkeling gear. It’s quiet and clean. It’s very hard to leave when it has been so pleasant

We so enjoyed our stay at the Menehune Shores 227! The condo was exactly as described and perfect for our little family of 3 (it would also be comfortable for a little larger family too). The bed in the master was comfy (and we are pretty picky).
The view was exactly as shown in the pictures. There is a nice little beach that overlooks a calm, shallow “pool” where our 7 year old could snorkel and play without worry of rough waters. All of the beautiful green sea turtles that hang out in the pool and along the sheltering wall were an added bonus. Then, just a very short (5 minutes) walk out the gate and over a sand dune (or around the rocks during low tide) takes you to a more active, very quiet beach for boogie boarding or playing in the waves.
The only word of warning — it is incredibly windy in the afternoons in this part of Maui, making beach umbrellas and the rooftop grill pretty useless. If you want rooftop views, take them in during the early hours of the day. There are a few trees on the little beach for shade, but put your umbrellas away unless you want to take a quick run after them!
The town of Kihei has a very relaxed, beach town feel including several fun eateries and little places to shop. There were also conveniently located grocery stores, etc. just minutes away.
Back at the condo, a nicely equipped kitchen, comfy(ish) family room and lovely lenai made it the perfect place to watch the sunset and close out our very fun days in Maui!
