Our stay was everything promised. Fabulous location. Condo was clean and cold!! The property is immaculate. Bedroom tv was a little tricky but got it figured out. I’d go back again im a heartbeat.

I love the location of Kahana Sunset. I chose this condo because of the air conditioner and that did not disappoint! Our only complaints are with the microfiber sheets, which makes one feel clammy regardless of how cool the room is, and the uncomfortable pillows. Improve those two items and this place is first class!

Just right for the two of us! Roll out couch may have been good for kids if we had them. The porch was shared. No ocean view. Our own little private beach had three turtles which was awesome!!! Great common area with bbqs and pool. Place was clean and comfortable. Full kitchen for cooking at home. Lots of nearby beaches for a variety of snorkeling experiences.

We thought the Kanaha Sunset was an extremely nice place; very well maintained; beautiful setting & so close to the beach; the information received prior to the stay was amazing for check-in & access to the place; had no problems; the extras they offer like help with the excursions were certainly helpful financially; we would definitely stay there again on a return to Maui

We had an amazing time and loved the closeness to provisions and fun activities such as: hikes, snorkeling, hidden gems, whale watching, and the cute Front Street. The only recommendation we would have if we were being picky would to somehow have a few bare necessities in the kitchen (salt and pepper and possibly some other dried spices. But, we were very happy with the accommodations! Can’t wait to come back!

The condo is beautiful. Modern everything. Kitchen is new and really comfortable. Great countertop and dining area. Bathroom is also top shelf, modern.
cons: There is a view of the back of the oceanfront building. So no view. The complex is is need of some help. The pool is nice, but the "Hot tub" is pool temp. The beach that is shown, is no beach. Due to rising waters, you cannot access the beach 95% of the time. Too dangerous. The walkway leading to the view on top has been closed as steps are bouncing up and down with the tide.
ITrip was great helping us relocate to a different stay. They deserve great praise staying on top of our concerns. Will happily re-book with ITrip.

The apartment was perfect: everything was new or renewed and whatever you need for a family stay was available.
The location also was optimal close to beaches for daily fun and to Lahaina old town for the nightlife.

Kahana sunset is a wonderful place to stay in Maui. There is a private beach and although it’s small, we were there every day. The pool is also great. It’s a great location too although we had a rental car so it was easy to get around and plenty of parking at the unit.
The unit was very clean, comfortable and had air conditioning in both the living room and bedroom. There is no ocean view in this unit but you are just steps away from the ocean and pool area. We had one issue when we first arrived but it was our mistake when we tried to find the unit and mistakenly went to E4 and tried to get into the room. E4E is down the stairs on the right from the front office. Mahalo for a wonderful week and stay.

I stayed at Kahana Sunset Resort in June. The location is secluded, close to the market and has great ammenities. There is a beautiful, warm pool with two sections for swimming on land. You can also swim in the ocean from the private beach. Wanna surf board or paddle board? They have you covered. You might even spot a sea turtle like I did!
You will have a beautiful kitchen with washer and dryer. There are televisions in the living room and the bedroom. The shower is modern and roomy. The sheets are as soft as a cloud and the mattress is very comfortable. A/C in the living room and the bedroom keep you comfortable.
They have a library if you are into reading when lounging in the sun. There are two spots with a total of 6 grills for outdoor dining. The staff keeps up the grounds and are very courteous.
The digital door lock makes it convenient to go swimming without carrying around a key! The condo is Alexa enabled for easy checkout.
The location is just minutes from beach activities and Luau's. Have a pleasant stay!

I'm a single dad and brought my two kids, 10 and 6, to Kahana Sunset for summer vacation. We spent 10 days here and never got bored. The community has a great environment and everyone we met was friendly and social. Having the option of a pool and the private beach was perfect for us. The grounds are well kept and each evening people congregated by the beach wall and grills to hangout and watch the sunset. Some units are without AC, but ours had a great AC unit and it was very comfortable during June.

We’ll come back for sure. The location was great. It was a lot more laid back than anywhere we’ve stayed before and it was perfect! We would walk down to the beach to watch the sunset every morning. And bonus the private beach is amazing.

The property is very well cared for. There are 5 grills on the property that are used daily by residents and they are cleaned every day by caretakers. The pool is heated and very clean. The beach is clean, nice sand but the water gets deep quickly. Because of erosion, you can’t walk any distance on the beach. The sunsets are beautiful and you can see whales in the distance. Parking is included, though we spent our week without a car. There is a grocery store within a mile but it is very expensive. There is also a few restaurants in the same plaza as the grocery store. The condo was comfortable and clean. Plenty of towels, comfortable bed, and washer and dryer worked fine. There are no spices or condiments so if you plan to cook, it would be wise to bring some from home. TV worked fine, since there is not much to do after dark. No games in the unit but a small book lending library on site. There was no can opener but lots of little containers for leftovers. Everyone we met was very friendly and we would stay here again.

Before we arrived there was a leak in the unit we had booked so they called to let us know they had moved us to a better unit. We really enjoyed the place. Since we were always out doing something, for the most part we weren’t really there much except to sleep. Great place to stay!

Been coming to the Kahana Sunset since it was built in the 1970's. They have done a wonderful job of keeping it up to date and the recent addition of air conditioning was really great. Unit was exactly as advertised, well equipped, clean and cozy. Beach is not what it used to be given the erosion but they have done a great job with the sea wall and the nice grass and beach chairs looking out over the ocean. And you still have easy access to the beach and the bay for great snorkeling. Really great time.

The unit is great. The location is really good. We did hear a little noise from upstairs for a few days but good thing we got up early to start our day. We had to request for a workable kettle and an iron, both items came the next day. I like the surrounding, the landscape and pool are very well maintained. One day, the pool closed down for several hours for painting but up and running by the evening. The ocean view is really nice. My girlfriend joined for a few days after we arrived, the unit is perfect size for 3 of us. I like the nearby Napili Market; Joey Kitchen restaurant is right next to it. There is also a vegetarian deli there as well. If I do come back to Maui, will try to book this unit again :-)

We've had a great 10 days here at Kahana Sunset. Our unit was very well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including air conditioning, which apparently many units here do not have. So glad we did! The grounds were nicely kept and the pool was beautiful. However, there are many workers on the property doing painting and other remodeling, and the beach is tiny. All in all, we would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kahana condos, we got a 1 bedroom 1 bath with a full very nice kitchen. It was really clean, with lots of utensils and towels. Beach view is perfect and beautiful quiet, family friendly pool seemed nice and clean. No loud noise anywhere very calm vibe. Definitely will consider going back when we go back to Maui.

This was our second time at Kahana and it certainly won't be the last. I'm happy to hear that you do run specials as we plan to return annually. The grounds are so lovely and relaxing and we love the convenience of the pool and private beach. Also, again thanks for accommodating us when our flights got changed to the late arrival and red-eye departure. Now, what I will do differently next time is inquire as to any work that may be done at the complex as there was at times quite a bit of noise. We do understand however that maintenance is required from time to time but there seemed to be multiple projects going on. Also, I know now to request a view which we did not have (E4E) and ask that we have no one above us. The unit above us had quite early risers, and we experienced walking/running noises as well as sliding noises perhaps from the pocket door or rolling suitcases. All in all, we had a great 10 days and can't wait to return in 2022! (The reason for the 4 stars is the noise and zero view (carports).

I can’t review the condo that we have booked because we have been upgraded due to maintenance work that was needed in the condo we booked.
We are Maui residents, live in Ka’anapali on Maui and needed a place to stay for 5 days because we have rented our home to vacation guests. We always liked the Kahana/Napili area and stayed in the Kahana Sunset for the first time now. The location is perfect, right at a small private beach. With about 70 units it is a rather small property which we liked very much. We had a nice ocean view from our 2 lanais and were well protected from the street noise. Honestly there is not much traffic anyways. We would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a quiet and nice place. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed in this condo on our own but met up with my brothers family who also stayed in the same condos. We were very happy to be just one building away from the beach. The community is well managed and maintained. We loved that the pool was super close and the beach is just a few steps away. The room was spacious and clean and there were some beach chairs, snorkels and a bag for our cold food and drinks to take down to the pool. There were plenty of plates and cups….a drip coffee maker and clean towels for the shower and for the beach. The bedroom does not have AC but with the fans going, we didn’t notice. We will definitely look to stay here again!

The resort includes 6 condominiums, a private beach, common areas for relax , 2 BBQ spots and a swimming pool. We had a group of 6 families spreading out in building A, B & E. The walking distance was less than 2 minutes between buildings and to the beach. We did not experience crowd on the beach nor seating areas, but saw Green sea turtles on that beach twice.
E4E had been recently renovated and the owner had provided everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (e.g. Mikasa dinning ware, beach towels, snorkel equipment, a pinic bag w/ coolants, portable electric fans, etc). The only thing you need to buy is bottle water and the closiest supermarket is 5 minutes ride away. We had spent a lot of time relaxing on this private beach and sunbath under coconut trees. Staff were very nice, but they were busy cleaning walking path, treaming trees and etc.
If we visit Maui again, we would definitely consider Kahana Sunset resort.
