The location is perfect in terms of proximity to the beach, stores/restaurants, and other areas of the island, including the airport. You can walk to a beach rental store, one restaurant, a convenience store, farmers market, and shave ice place within 5 minutes. We've stayed at the property next door, so knew the area was awesome--this is top priority when we book in Hawaii.
The condo itself is not great. We are not fussy lodgers--we're (relatively) young and don't need a big condo, fancy furniture or amenities. We appreciated the beach equipment (boogie boards, chairs, snorkeling gear, towels, coolers--an umbrella would be a nice addition) and the prompt response from the manager in replacing a broken fan. Overall, however, this place was below our expectations compared to other condos we've rented on VRBO on Maui and other islands, for a few reasons. It was surface-level clean, but is in need of a deep clean (couch, blinds were a bit dingy). When we pulled out the sofa bed, it was dusty with stains on the mattress pad. This was disappointing because we would've slept on the sofa bed otherwise--the regular bed is absolutely awful. Again, we are in our 30s and typically have no issues with beds in hotels/condos--this was almost un-sleepable. Neither of us slept comfortably the entire time, which was a huge bummer for what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. It was bad enough that, despite the amazing location and relatively decent price, we wouldn't stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had never stayed in Kihei but enjoyed all it had to offer. The room we stayed in was well kept but dated. Some upgrading would be nice but, from all we could tell, the entire property was dated. Great access to the ocean and the pool was very nice. Mahalo!

Kealia resort on Maui was the perfect location for us to wind down and relax for the 2nd half of our trip after spending a few days on Oahu. The condo is in terrific shape, clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The views are amazing and the pool and calm waters a treat. I was very happy we chose it for its location as well; we were centrally located for all of our excursions. There is a little bit of road noise that can be heard in the bedroom at night, but it did not disrupt my wife and I. The complex overall is quiet and we would return for sure.

We island hopped and stayed at 3 places while on our trip. This one was our favorite hands down. The balcony was large and directing in front of an amazing beach view. We watched and listened to whales in the evening. Lawn chairs and other things where provided. Anything we needed was there. Dish soap , laundry soap and even coffee the small touches made it such a smooth relaxing stay. The pillows where comfortable and they even had more stored if needed along with Beach towels as well. I like new experiences but if I go back to Maui I would stay here again absolutely!!!

Really liked the place and the location. Just a 15 min drive from the airport. and have the beach basically to ourself. We got to experience some really great food 10 mins away from the place. Definitely a good place to end the trip

The view is amazing and the location was perfect for us. The air conditioner worked great to cool down after spending all day outside. The pool is nice and there’s even a shared grill in the area. We would stay here again.
4 stars because there wasn’t any coffee or shampoo/conditioner which are normally included (at least at the places we have stayed).

This property was in a great location- we had the pool and beach practically to ourselves. Steps from the beach. Air conditioning was a big plus. Great lanai you eat breakfast on and watch the ocean waves. Would stay here again!

We chose the Kehei area to stay in because of the equal distance to both Lahaina and Wailea. Kealia Resort had good ratings in several of our guide books and I would say The reviews were spot on.Unit 301 is an end unit and had a perfect view of the pool and ocean and beyond. We really enjoyed watching the canoe club participants practicing their skills every morning- paddling back-and-forth. they certainly made it look easy! The beach directly in front of the condo was great and you could walk for a good distance both north and south. Having the grassy area with some shade from the palm trees was a nice feature too. Our unit was one that came with assigned covered parking, so that was a nice perk as well. The unit itself was very comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed. It was a wonderful home away from home for our five night visit to Maui.

I liked that it was away from the hustle and bustle of town but with that considered there aren't many walkable restaurants. We also loved that this condo comes with covered parking.

We enjoyed our stay here. Loved that the beach was just steps away. The beach was never busy right in front of the resort. It is only about a 12 min walk along the beach to Ululani's shaved ice. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only issue we had was the internet was really slow. It had dsl and we had problems watching a show that was not downloaded to our devices or sometimes just accessing the internet. We did reboot the router and it did not help.

The views were stunning! Every morning and every evening for sunset and son rise you can walk the beach right there at your property. The sand is perfect the water is so clear!This condo had everything you need. They even have boogie boards and chairs for the beach so you don't have to worry about buying any.This place was so perfect.

We loved our time at Kealia, it was a great location to feel more quiet than the busier parts of Kihei, but an easy 10min drive down the street to grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
This place was great because of the long beach access - we enjoyed walking and running on the beach without resorts interrupting the beachfront. It stayed quiet at night - you can sometimes hear the highway traffic, but if you open the windows towards the ocean the waves easily drown out the noise.
There is an AC in the living room of the unit, we never really needed it. The fans and open windows were great to keep the place cool. It was awesome having the lanai - we ate most meals out there. The community of those who visit here was really friendly, and no loud or obnoxious incidents.
We loved watching the canoe groups pass by in the morning, and the great sunsets in the evening. It did get quite windy some days - we weren't sure if that was common but it was a bit windier here than in Kihei itself.

My partner and I spent 5 nights here. The view is gorgeous, property is well maintained and the apartment has everything you need. Unfortunately I must note that the bed is horrible, it was so soft and unsupportive that I actually had to sleep on the couch most nights. There is also no air conditioning in the bedroom and the small unit in the living room is so loud that unless you can sleep inside a jet plane engine you need to turn it off while sleeping.

Everything was great and I loved how small the entire property was (very quiet), on the beach and an amazing view! I loved the high patio chairs as well so the railing did not block our morning coffee view! My only small complaints are the bed wasn’t entirely comfortable, the kitchen was small (not ideal if you plan to cook in it) and the pool has strict rules (not ideal for people with small kids). I have older kids but I’m also a rule follower so I was worried if they were loud, we would get in trouble! This would not stop us from coming back though because regardless of those minor things the community and location were superb. If you have a chance to book-do it. Mahalo!

This is a great location, located on a beach that is so close to being private. The pool and grounds are top notch and the property is well cleaned daily. The on premise management is awesome. The unit was 100% as described. You are so close to anything and everything from here. The WIFI is slow but useable. It averages around 2-3 MBS. The AC in this unit is not adequate to cool down the entire unit and so the bedroom can be quite warm. There are ceiling fans that help and you can open the windows and get a strong breeze at any given time. I would absolutely stay here again and we are already planning our next adventure. The property offers a great grassy area for lounging and catching the amazing sunsets from this property. They have two highly maintained grills available that are cleaned and spotless daily. Elevators and stairs are more than adequate. A big benefit to this unit is the covered parking too.

Best place to stay in Maui, we absolutely love that it's conveniently located in the middle of Maui. The stay also included everything we needed to explore Maui's wonderful beaches. The beach chairs, the towels, the coolers went a long way with us and we couldn't have had such a wonderful honey moon without it! Christine is a life saver truly!

The property pictures online where a little photo edited, only to brighten the colors of the trees, the water and the pool. It was still so beautiful at this location we had beautiful weather every day of the week. The sunrise from the balcony over my left shoulder, with a view of Mnt Haleakala and straight out the pool and the beautiful ocean. Every morning around 730ish the employees would be making the chairs available, unlocking the grills and cleaning the pool. A very clean stay. Me and my wife cooked in the kitchen provided almost every morning after going to one of the numerous fresh markets near. Everything was very near for a night life even Lahaina was only 30 min from us, but snorkeling shopping and beach life was no further than 15 min away. The location was perfect being 18 min straight from the airport. I could explain so much more but it was just a very nice stay and I will definitely be looking for this location on my next trip. Maybe a floor higher!!

We were really pleased with this location. Right on the beach with strolling options in both directions for miles. Swimming is child friendly right out front of the unit. The bed.... to small for 2 adults. Unless your a miniature person it just isn't big enough. This seems to be an ongoing issue with condo rentals. The bed is always to small. We booked again at the Kealia in another unit with a king bed. Great stay though and thank you.

Lovely stay. I love this building. Well maintained and the views are wonderful. Just step out the door and walk the long white sand beach. Very nice, well equipped corner unit with views of both the water and Haleakala. Great having the kitchen as well as living area facing the ocean, but the bedroom is at the back of the condo which means more road noise (we kept window shut and bedroom door open to listen to ocean sounds coming through the living room). The only 'real'drawback was something unavoidable for early November. The sun's position was lower allowing almost no shade on the lanai during the day (which meant we were not able to enjoy sitting outside in our own unit since it was too hot and sunny. Some kind of shading would be wonderful and would really add to a very nice unit.

Everything about this property suited us just fine! Quick easy reservations, helpful, friendly staff. Well kept grounds, and an adequately furnished, stocked condo.
