If you're debating between this place or one of those resorts or hotels on the island do not even debate it for another second. I worked remotely from this location for 4 nights and walked directly from my computer into the ocean. I got dinner at this AMAZING little pizza place nearby which is currently donating all its proceeds to the fire relief effort. I ate at a more traditional Hawaiian place also in walking distance. I picked up anything else I needed for the kitchen from the ABC Store on my walk back. I got curious about the beach and bars over by the resorts so I walked over to check it out, downed a Mai Thai, and decided I liked my beach better and walked back. My only regret is that I paid the rental company for a full tank of gas and I didn't use the car once between arriving to my destination and leaving.

The Condo was spectacular and exceeded expectations on all fronts. It looks exactly like the pictures (or better!). The beach is truly steps away and the location is ideal as it is close to many beaches. The unfortunate thing for us was that we were there when the fires happened and burned down Front Street so our stay was cut short.
The host was very attentive despite the tragic circumstances and found . I will definitely look at other properties from her.

This property is fantastic! We liked it so much that we extended our stay an extra week. The amenities there were just like being at home. Unparalleled beach access with a constant breeze that flowed through our unit. Our host was wonderful and made sure we wanted for nothing. It was the perfect location to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We loved to the ocean breeze through the unit and the beautiful sunsets. You really can't beat the location! We hope to come stay again.

My family decided to stay here because of the beautiful representation of the condo and steps to the beach. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed our stay, swimming with the turtles, and the beautiful sunsets. It's a great little area away from the big resorts, but those and all the shops/restaurants are a just a short drive away. You can't go wrong.

This property is perfect if you are looking to be only steps from the Ocean. The property has access to a small beach as well as a lawn with chairs for catching some sun and a shower for rinsing off the salt.
The lack of A/C may be a turnoff for some guests, but no A/C is fairly standard in Hawaii and is no issue for us. We happily trade the A/C you might have in a larger hotel for this kind of access to the water!

We had a restful stay at the condo celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had all but 3 of our meals out on the lanai while enjoying the ocean view and breeze.
The condo had everything we needed to prepare our meals and drinks. We used the grill twice to cook dinner while enjoying the view. The sunsets were beautiful.
The bed was very comfortable the microfiber sheets were very soft (a little warm for me but my husband thought they were just right). The ceiling fan and the ocean breeze make the temperature just right.
We ventured out several times to explore the beaches but always felt the beach at the condo was just right. We swam everyday in the perfect water and saw turtles everyday. We will definitely be staying here again.

I am sometimes reluctant to book VRBO properties when I’m very unfamiliar with the area and having been burned in the past by super edited photos. That definitely was not the case with this one. It was so clean & nicely updated. We enjoyed just sitting outside most of the day, snorkeling & had the best sleep of our life with the constant breeze/wonderful fans. We saw sea turtles almost daily & a seal even swam right up to shore. I’m thankful I booked this property as it has us already planning a trip back. 💗

This property had a perfect view of the ocean and beach access couldn’t get any closer. We saw lots of sea turtles in the water in front of the lanai. Check in was a breeze and the host was very helpful.

We have stayed at the Pikake, in another lovely unit, in the past. We were so fortunate to stay in this unit and it was also magical. We loved how clean and updated this entire unit is. The king-size bed was very comfy and perfect for co-sleeping with our 9-month old. Communication with Marcie was so great and so prompt. You cannot go wrong with staying here! Book it now!

A very nice condo right on the beach. Rather than luxury I would say it’s comfortable. We were surprised to have no A/C but appreciated all the fans. They help a lot. Really appreciated the beach umbrella and chairs - a nice feature!
Heads up to anyone wanting to go to the black sand beach on the road to Hana… reservations are now required. We visited 7 years ago, drove all the way up there only to be refused.

Absolutely stunning property. Was even better than it looked, and it looked incredible. Best spot on the island. Marcie was great - our dream is to come back here. Swam with turtles multiple times in front of the property, saw whales. Went to the farmers market and spoke with the Hawaiian version of Ted Lasso who works there. Ate the best cinnamon rolls at Papis Ohana down the street, and the best fish of our life at the food truck Kaipos down the street. A dream vacation!!!

Certainly a five star experience. The condo was extremely clean, well maintained, and looked exactly like the photos. The bed was very comfortable, you can absolutely hear the waves crashing on the beach as you fall asleep! The location was fantastic and very easy to find, checking in was a breeze. This is my first time using VRBO and the host provided all the information we could have possibly needed, so smooth. The beach was absolutely the best part, there is a natural break about 200 feet out that slows the big waves and allows a great play & swimming area with perfect beach sand; my suggestion is to bring water socks as I tore up my foot on some lava rocks near the break on the first day. My only critiques would be the condo is about 12 units tightly packed and facing the thin grass courtyard and ocean; I was looking for some more "quiet" times but the front lawn and beach was rather busy; but then again Maui itself was much more crowded than I anticipated, thankfully the loud ocean waves block out a lot of ambient sound - not a deal breaker but something to consider. Last critique would be the unit is on the bottom and the top unit has a thin floor, we never heard voices but people walking around upstairs was loud at times - not enough to lower the 5 star review but if you are a light sleeper, it may be a consideration.

This is a beautiful space. We spent every morning out on the patio listening to the ocean and watching the turtles swim in the waves. We also caught some spectacular sunsets. The condo is fully stocked and very comfortable. The location is great as we walked to food trucks, a grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants. I would recommend staying here. My wife and I had a great time at Marcella’s property, our kids and their family’s joined us in a couple of the other properties, and we all had a lot of fun and enjoyed the beautiful beach right out the back door. We look forward to going back next year.

We loved the condo at Pikake! We were worried at first with the bedroom being the closest room to the road but we had no problem sleeping like babies in the very comfortable bed. Marcie also provides a sleeping mask and earplugs, which I thought was a nice touch. Although we left all the cooking to the restaurants, the kitchen was well appointed. Having the two beach chairs, umbrella, pop up cooler, and two boogie boards was great, but there were also two sets of snorkel gear. We saw turtles every day at the beach 20 steps away. The only thing that I could suggest is perhaps two more full size towels to use. The bathroom fan isn’t powerful enough to fight the humidity and leaves them not so fresh after a couple days.
We loved our stay and how close it was to açaí bowls at the farmers market and everything else you need at the abc store a block down the road. A couple minute drive to kaanapali and like 10 to front street. Marcie let us know our condo was ready for check in as soon as it was because she knew our flight had come in the morning. You were a great host, and look forward to hopefully staying again!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Maui. Everything was as described in the listing and the views off the lanai are the BEST! Waking up and then watching sunset with that view was our favorite part! Communication with the property manager was great and we loved all the supplies that were provided in the condo. We also loved having our own parking space so close to our condo. Place was fabulous and we would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Pikake and Marcie was a terrific host. The building is a two-story condo and has its own small beach and ever-changing views of Lanai and Molokai. We loved listening to the ocean’s roar from the bedroom at night, and feeling the tropical breeze throughout the house. We loved swimming with turtles and watching them on the rocks every day. We also loved the many red-crested cardinals that congregated on the lawn. Sunsets were spectacular and we loved the tradition of conch blowing at sunset. The Pikake is flanked by larger condos (not large resorts) but it always felt rather private and we were never subjected to raucous parties. The location is great - close enough to walk to Big Ass Coffee - and just a short ride up the coast to Napili and Kapalua. The beach chairs and umbrella came in handy for our treks to the many nearby beaches, especially DT Fleming, our favorite because of the shade and the beach chickens. The unit was small but well appointed, allowing us to eat several meals at home. Having a Weber gas grill on the premises was definitely appreciated. We don’t like the resort scene or big condos, and would happily come back to The Pikake.

This property was amazing the view alone is worth five stars. Also, I did not realize the property also provides its own private beach which is pretty amazing. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is no air but don't worry the ceiling fans are more than enough to take care of everything. It was hard to sleep with the windows open because there were some loud neighbors but it was still fine with just the fans. The coin-operated washer and dryer do not work very well and there was a lot of sand in them just a heads up. That is not a reflection on the property though. Everything is beautiful and updated. Marcie was very responsive. We had some issues with our towels and new ones were brought to us the same day. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was beautiful, newly updated, and nice and clean. The bed and the amazing trade winds made for some of the best sleeping conditions of our trip. There is no air conditioning needed in this ocean front spot. The location was nice, it was not right downtown Lahaina, it was about a 10 minute drive to downtown. The location was perfect for sunsets. We enjoyed a couple beautiful sunsets during our stay. It was so nice to be able to walk out the back slider and be at the beach. The other renters in the condos were very nice and courteous.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon. This condo was perfect for the two of us! Beautifully decorated and looks like it’s been recently renovated, the condo itself was gorgeous, not to mention the show stopping view out the sliding doors and past the lanai!! The little private beach is really nice—we saw turtles swimming in the waves close by and saw whales further out in the ocean!! (Mahalo Marcie for the binoculars for whale watching!) We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night from the lanai.
The bed was extremely comfortable, we got amazing sleep each night especially falling asleep to the ocean sounds. The shower was also awesome…great water pressure and super luxurious with the second waterfall shower head. There’s no air conditioning but it was not an issue at all—there’s a great cross breeze that flows through the whole condo and overhead fans in living room and bedroom as well as a few other standing fans you can use as needed. We were perfectly cool and comfortable!
The place was perfectly stocked. We appreciated having the beach towels, folding beach chairs, and snorkel gear! If there was one suggestion we have, it would be nice to have a small vacuum available. And much as we rinsed off ourselves and our gear before coming inside each time, it’s inevitable living so close to the beach that some sand will come inside. It would be great to have a vacuum to tidy up occasionally!
We loved the little town we were in! It felt like we were living like locals! We loved visiting Kaanapiili Beach for nice swimming and beach time and Kapalua Bay for its gorgeous beach and calm waters for snorkeling.
We would 1000% recommend staying in Marcie’s place to anyone!

My husband and I absolutely love this property! It had a great location and close to many of the popular beaches. We snorkeled right outside of the condo and saw two turtles every time. We named one of them Theodore because he looked as if he was at least 100 years old (he was huge)! Everything in the condo was updated and beautifully decorated. The bed in the bedroom and couch bed we’re extremely comfortable! We would definitely love to stay at this place again.

Marcie's place exceeded my expectations. Both the condo and the views were amazing. My girlfriend and I stayed here after a month in busy Waikiki and it was the most relaxing way to end a vacation. We were hesitant at first because the unit didn't have A/C, but we found that we didn't need it with all the windows and fans in the unit.
We also had issues with our covid tests results coming after our arrival to Maui and Marcie was very understanding and accommodating.
I would highly recommend staying here and will stay again the next time I'm in Maui.

Literally 20’ from the property I was snorkeling with 5 sea turtles! Why waste the money on a snorkeling trip to see sea turtles when you can do it at your condo!! .... and sleep on the pull out couch bed. Open the windows and hear the ocean rolling all night! Wake up to views worth a million bucks!
