It was a very comfortable and easy to use place for two families. The house is not super clean and needs to be painted. The kitchen lacked some items. But the beds are comfy the space is great and the location is nice.

Great option on the North Shore. Place was clean and quiet. Close to beaches and easy to find. Feedback is that the doors to the upstairs bedroom would not lock (bed room door and sliding bathroom door). Pretty easy fixes, I'd recommend a barn door installed for the bathroom.

Place is in a great location in north shore area but is in need of a deep clean. Was not very clean. Had everything you need for beach, pool. Ants invaded the kitchen and were in the bathrooms and dishwasher when we arrived. Two Lightbulbs needed replaced also. Light In Upstairs fan light was blinking terribly. We couldn’t replace that as we would need a ladder and it was above bed. Need a comforter as got cold during the night.

Property quite worn down in our opinion. Disappointing because it did look very nice in the photos. This was the dirtiest vacation rental that we have ever stayed in. Needs a thorough deep cleaning and sanitization. Complex location is wonderful on the North Shore.

Little worn down. Was not clean, ceiling fans, dishes and towels were dirty. Loft area with two twin beds was very hot and stuffy not able to cool down. They did bring a replacement fan for the two that were broken.

We had an amazing time for the weekend at this Turtle Bay Condo. Pictures were accurate to reality, pool is great and clean, just a 10 minute walk to beach or a quick 2 minute drive with plenty of parking. The condo is older and so has wear and tear, such as the main bedroom bathroom door not closing all the way but overall it is great! There is a king upstairs in main room, a loft with 2 twins, downstairs is a queen i think and a pullout couch for 2 more, so plenty of room for a family or two. They have a closet in the downstairs bedroom that has lots of beach toys, chairs, skim boards and body boards to use and an ice chest that was great to have for all our adventures out and about. Would definitely stay here again! Definitely have a sunset dinner at the Turtle Bay Resort pool (Sunset Bar & Grill) the ambiance with sunset, live music and fire dancers is great for all ages!

First, the communication with the property manager/owner was very quick. They answered within minutes. Second location is perfect for a big family, beaches are very close by. The house is nice and comfortable.

Pros - A great size for a family, well stocked kitchen, good shower pressure downstairs, nice TV & instructions, nice pool and quiet. Property manager responds quickly to questions. Cons - we have stayed in over 12 properties in Kuilima Estates and this is the first one that had a strong musty smell in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Since I'm allergic to mold and mildew it bothered my asthma. There is some remoldeling that needs to be done in both rooms plus the sliding doors to the lanai which could be more than one cement block. I will look at other family units for next time unless this one gets remodeled.

My only thing is I wish they would have had a few more items to clean up after yourself. Like a vacuum and mop. But I just like to keep things extra clean. I would definitely stay again.

The place was not clean. The downstairs bathroom had pee caked all around the bottom the toilet, it also hadn’t been swept in a while. The shower curtain was moldy. The garbage can had food drippings all down the sides. There wasn’t a blanket for our 8th guest and was asked to make due that first night. We just got our own cleaning supplies and cleaned. It was in a nice place, my kids loved the pool and was a short walk to the ocean.

We stayed here for four days with mom, dad, toddler, aunt, uncle, and grandma. The unit was spacious, clean, and furnished nicely. The location was in the perfect spot, just a quick walk to Turtle Bay. This was a ground unit, so easily accessible for grandma. There are a few rental units in this grouping, so expect to have your assigned parking spot taken by oblivious guests - security happily wrote out a parking pass for us to stay in the guest parking stalls instead. We were hoping for a simple and quiet stay, and that’s exactly what we got. Thank you!

We loved our stay here. It was very clean and mostly bug-free (which is hard to do in Hawaii). Property manager was very responsive and brought extra towels within a few hours when asked. Loved the quiet, secluded and safe location near the Turtle Bay Resort.

It's definitely a little older, but everything worked great, and the layout worked perfect for two families. A short walk to Turtle Bay, or a shirt drive to multiple different beaches. I would recommend asking for a second gate/pool key if you have two vehicles, but we made one work fine.

4 days and nights. Enjoyed beach, food, surf and rest. Our first gathering back in HI together. Good to stay at Kuilima as we stayed here many times when living here. So convenient for all we wanted to do and see. The condo was clean, offered all we needed. Nothing fancy, but just right for us to have morning coffee afternoon naps and late night chats.

Several things were disappointing. This was a 1970’s condo that was tried to be updated in a half hazard manner. Main floor bathroom had mold half way up the shower curtain. Main floor bedroom had a box springs that had blood stains, pubic hair and debris on it. The upstairs balcony is standing room only, no outdoor area to enjoy. No patio. The advertised pictures show enough furniture in the living room for 4 people to sit. In reality there is only one couch to sit on. Imagine taking 8 people to stay here as it sleeps 8, and only having one couch for 2 people! The price we paid was much overpriced for the value of the property. I do not recommend staying here.

Enjoyed our stay here. The location was great. Rooms were spacious. The drier vents to the house, so beware it will heat the house. The kitchen table and chairs were not as nice as pictured and there is only one sofa, not two as shown in photos.

Check in started a little rough with the property manager being gone on vacation and the number that was left to contact wouldn't answer when we arrived late evening. Thankfully security at the property were very willing to help us and asissted with a parking pass for our additional vehicle. The closet contained multiple beach chairs, a cooler, boogie boards (not in good condition, but good enough for kids uner 12 to enjoy), beach umbrellas (some broken and unusable), and snorkel gear that we never used since we had brought our own. Plenty of beach towels were provided. All kitchen appliances worked well as did the laundry facilities. The back door was very hard to get to lock but there were wooden dowels as a fail safe. This property was a nice hidden gem. We used the charcoal grills one night and the kids enjoyed the pool after they were beached out for the day. Overall we had a great stay and would definately visit this property again.

The condo was clean. Great location. A/C in the two main bedrooms but not in the loft or living areas. The loft was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. We tried to keep the doors of the rooms with A/C open to help cool it off but it didn’t help. There were two fans that we put close to the beds to give a little relief. The dryer blew lint everywhere and added an incredible amount of heat to the house so we ended up air drying the little bit of laundry we did do. Other than the heat, this condo made a good place to rest after playing on the beautiful beaches of North Shore. It would be nice to have a broom available.

Our family of 5 (plus grandma) had a great stay! The location on the north shore was perfect. Close to everything including walking distance to Turtle Bay Resort. We enjoyed the pool which is real close to the unit. The instructions for check in were perfect and the unit is as advertised on the listing. We would definitely stay again if I’m the area.

We rented this property because we needed a place to stay near our friends wedding venue. When we first showed up, the cleaning crew was still there until after 4 pm, when we were hoping to check in and get to our rehearsal dinner on time, which we ended up being late to. When we entered the property, the place smelled AWFUL. We were greeted with a strong smell of mold and mildew although the place was “cleaned with disinfectant”. Upon looking closer, the property was covered in dust and grime, including hair from the previous guests in the shower and a roach dead on the entry hallway wall.
When we wanted to use the washer and dryer, the washer hadn’t been opened and aired out and was unusable due to the musty/dank/mildew smell.
While the property manager was responsive, it was disruptive to our stay to have the cleaning crew come back out to the property to try and remedy the issue. While the washer became usable, it was unclear what additional cleaning was actually done.
Oh well, you live and you learn. Please learn from us and look elsewhere if possible.

Beautiful part of the island - everything was just as described, plus more! There were beach toys, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, tennis rackets and more - plus a pack n play! The two bedrooms have room air conditioning- the rest of the condo does not.

This place was amazing for our family. The condo is well equipped with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the full size dinning table and being able to walk over to the beach. We visited in Jan and the ac in the bedrooms really made it comfortable. The extra beach toys were enjoyed by the kiddos and we really appreciated the quickness in response by the management team when we had any questions. The location is great, we were able to drive down the country side with so much ease . We would definitely stay here on our next visit.

Awesome family friendly duplex style house! Walking distance to the beach and the kids loved playing with the boogie boards and sand pales. Awesome local food trucks near by to check out great food! Kids really enjoyed the pool as well and loved the turtles painted on the bottom.
Only constructive things I have are the upstairs bathroom door was off the tracks and had difficulty getting out lol. The upstairs shower drain also wasn’t draining properly. Lastly the welcome email had two different door codes provided, but the property manager returned the call promptly. Overall we are very happy with the stay and would recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this unit, #49. Only issue we had was incorrect code sent to get into unit's front door. Able to quickly call Vrbo for help and then got correct code. Very clean, cozy, quiet, and our desired location along North Shore. Highly recommend!

Good location for driving north shore. Did not spend a lot of time at house or property (did not use kitchen or living room) but for sleeping and coffee maker/ frig. Only AC available for 2 bedrooms that accommodate 4. Beware: The remaining 4 sleeping accommodations are warm for a June stay as they are in loft or living room without AC.
