Listing should include how many years old it is. Lots of rust throughout and on patio. Some of the outside can't be help with weather. Inside could be repainted. A/C VERY helpful as well as washer and dryer. Perfect for a couple and small child or two children. Would not rent out to two couples, too small.

Nice location, not really a duplex, it’s more like a studio, w/a lock off unit like a hotel room. Studio bed was in living room and to watch tv, you needed to sit on the bed, sofa faced wall. Kitchen was nice but anyone short couldn’t reach some of kitchen needs. Missing lightbulbs as previous guest noted. Limited towels and bring remote batteries.

Our family really enjoyed our vacation here. The property suited our family perfectly. Unit was clean and we felt safe our entire stay. After a long day exploring the island, the beds were comfortable for a good night's sleep. AC units worked fine for us when we used them.
We didn't have any issues or needs that had to be addressed with the host. Vanessa did a great job communicating check in/out process. I always received a quick response from her. We would definitely rebook with Vanessa for any future vacations to the North Shore.

My husband and I stayed two nights here. The owners were finishing up the cleaning process when we arrived at check in time.
There is not near enough silverware nothing matches the dishes are chipped… And dishes and pans had been put away dirty and I had to go in and clean them all before cooking dinner.
The beach chairs, reeked of beer and we’re rusted… We didn’t touch any of the other items in the closet after smelling those chairs. In my opinion, this condo was not cleaned properly, and it absolutely is in need of major upgrades with furnishings and kitchen essentials. The only thing that they did to upgrade this very old condo was new countertops. Do not be fooled by these pictures! This place is a dump!

It is really a studio and a bed room. The bedroom has a separate entrance but would be difficult to use just that entrance. It would be perfect for small
Family. We stayed with good friends, and we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. There was enough hot water for to very long haired women to take showers which was a great plus.
The grounds and location are fantastic. We would come back.

I was so happy to come across this gorgeous condo. The checkin process was smooth, Vanessa was very responsive and helpful. The condo was spotless. I was was a little nervous from previous reviews but apparently Vanessa hired a new cleaning crew since. The condo had a beautiful full kitchen, comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, nice new towels and what a location!!! We walked down to the gorgeous Turtle Bay resort and had the most fabulous dinner at Roy's Beach House. Highly recommended! We can't wait to come back to this slice of paradise!

Lovely area, but unit was musty smelling and not as clean as we would have liked. Towels were left in the dryer wet so we had to do some of the housekeeping when we arrived. The queen bed in the livingroom made the stay awkward for 2 couples to stay because there was no common area. This unit should have been advertised as a one bedroom unit that sleeps 2-3. Get rid of the bed in the living room area and put a nice couch and chair in it and it would be just right for a couple or small family.

We loved the location of this condo as we we’re looking to stay on the north shore. It was not very clean and some items were left from the previous group before us such as wet towels in the dryer, dishes in the dishwasher, and old wet coffee grounds in the coffee maker. There were not beach towels, but there were bathroom towels that worked to use at the beach. It was a great location, which in this area is what you’re looking for. I would say a good cleaning and a few more necessities and this place would be great!

The cleanliness of the property is suspect. Upon arriving, the cleaning was not finished, which caused our first night to feel unwelcome and on edge. We had to finish the laundry started by the cleaner and the dryer is vented into the condo, causing it to smell and get really warm. Which leads to the issues with the AC units. They can cool the space down, but they are too loud to run while sleeping. Overall feeling and experience made it hard to relax while at the condo. The location on the island is great, but other than that I would not recommend staying.

On the day of check-in, we had not received information on check-in so we notified host that our flight was delayed and we needed check-in information. It was late when we got to the condo and discovered that their was someone already in the condo. We attempted to call host twice and left messages. We then began to search for a Hawaii hotel near the condo and found one 20 minutes away at $400 per night.
In the morning, I got ahold of the host who admitted that she gave the same condo to two parties and offered us a second condo. The second condo was not what we rented and we had no choice but to stay there because we were already out money from the first night.
We were refunded for the one night ($289) and host was told about our loss from the hotel. We were ultimately upset that we were not refunded monies equal to our loss from their mistake.

All of the photos for this property were taken at Turtle Bay Resort, however the condo is outside the resort and condo guests are not invited to be a part of the resort...however the listing makes it appear that the condo is at the resort and you can use the amenities of the resort and none of this is true. Also the listing advertises use of courts, etc and there are no racquets or balls or anything available to use. Crappy beach chairs and very few towels in the rental. Light bulbs were out and there were no spares. The 'couch' in the living room is v uncomfortable and not suitable to be used as a bed. For the price of this rental we were v disappointed and felt v mislead and sincerely lied to by the owner.

Looks like the remodel was started but not entirely done. Light bulbs were missing, globes off the lights missing, no chair or mini fridge in the bedroom like in the picture. A lot of misc. “stuff” under bathroom sink- like paint and supplies.
Not many towels and all were mis-matched. No extra blankets. My biggest issue was that the curtain in the bedroom didn’t close all the way and anyone could have looked in from the front parking lot. Needs blinds of full new curtain to completely cover windows.
Great location but definitely needed a little more TLC.

Don’t rent this place. It’s dirty, worn out, outdated and user-unfriendly. Quick example: the dishwasher doesn’t work, and they don’t even have a wash cloth/towels for the kitchen. Luckily there are almost NO DISHES in the place so it didn’t take long to clean up. We’ve stayed in numerous other units in this complex and this is by far the worst. Keep looking.

The listing was misrepresented. It was supposed to be a air conditioned two bedroom unit. It was not the AC did not work in the 2nd bedroom and the first bedroom was family room/kitchen! The family room ac did not cool the condo so it did not have AC. We would have rented a one bedroom at hotel but wanted a 2nd bedroom and this was a horrible experience. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS OWNER. SHE LIED TO US REPEATEDLY!

Location of the condo was great, a short drive or moderate walk to Turtle Bay Resort and beach.
Started a bit rough; on arrival we were not able to get in because the host was not responding to open the parking gate (we tried to message through VRBO, text message, and phone). We were on the phone with VRBO for alternate accommodations until the host called us back. The ordeal took about 40 minutes before we got in; not horrible but a downer for the start of our vacation
The main bathroom was beautifully remodeled; kitchen and living room were spacious. Plenty of towels and in-unit washer/dryer was convenient. The second bathroom needed some attention (dark, noisy fan, and the toilet did not appear to be cleaned). Good stay overall

Inaccurate advertising of the unit:
- It says two studios. If there are 2 studios, each studio would have its own kitchen or kitchenette. This unit is more like a studio plus one bedroom. (In other words, there is a living room with a queen bed in it and one bedroom with a queen). 2 bathrooms.
- It says recently remodeled. It should say partially remodeled, because the air conditioning units were not changed out. They are old, noisy, and inefficient. The knob on one of the lamps by the bed in the living room is missing so can't be used. The kitchen lighting is very dim, needs better lighting, doesn't look like it was changed out with the remodel. Some light bulbs in the unit were burned out.
Other Issues that need attention:
1. Vent from dryer: Improper venting (not to the outside) to the ceiling in the closet, lint everywhere, heat pours into the condo.
2. Fouton couch VERY broken, not safe, can't sit, recline...
3. Dirty baking pan in the oven, full of old grease/fats.
4. Washing machine on drain/spin cycle, super loud, sounds like jet engine taking off.
5. Queen bed in living area OLD, dirty-stained mattress when I took off the pad.
6. NO top sheet on the bed in the main room, just a comforter that was not a duvet, so it probably is not washed after each renter, This is NOT acceptable at any hotel either.
7. Needs silverware in the kitchen drawer, hardly any, thus dishwasher used more than needed.
8. OVERALL the condo is nice, remodel helps the looks, but I value functional clean furniture/beds, and more attention to detail cleaning issues between renters too. Why is there a notice for an extra charge for too much laundry when the washer is so small to put the laundry in it?
The charge for this condo is more than its condition warrants.

This condo seemed fine at first glance. As we got settled, everything seemed dirty. The futon in the kitchen/bedroom area was covered in sand and broken (there have been complaint about it for years that I didn’t catch before we booked this condo). We had issues with the internet working the entire 5 days we were there. The kitchen is very poorly stocked as well as the bathrooms with only 1 roll of TP for each bathroom for 5 days. The bed in the kitchen area was so uncomfortable that we had to buy a blow up mattress for my sister to sleep on. The bath mats in the bathroom closest to the kitchen has bath mats that are an absolute hazard. They slip around on the floor. I had to catch myself from slipping and falling on them. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Advertised as 2 studios, but really is a 1 bedroom condo with a microwave in the closet of the bedroom and a bed in the living room. Do not count on the futon to sleep on; it is collapsed in the middle and extremely uncomfortable. The only bedding for it was 2 fitted sheets found stuffed in a kitchen cabinet and it was disgustingly dirty when we opened it up. When we contacted the owner she said it isn’t normally used and she could drop off a flat sheet for the bedding….we didn’t hear from her after that so had to make do with what we had.
If even a little effort was put into the remodel or upkeep this could be a nice place. Unfortunately the only positive is the location close to Turtle Bay. The condo was dirty and poorly furnished so if you stay plan to bring what you need and try to ignore the dryer venting into the hallway and the cockroaches/ants in the kitchen.

This is a great location on the north shore. We had plenty of room with 2 adults and 2 teen daughters. It had everything we needed to cook some meals, had plenty of towels, and even had some beach chairs/umbrellas to use. I would gladly stay here again.

Updated condo - all units that we've seen and stayed in in Turtle Bay condos (6 units total) are a bit dated with difficult AC, but this unit has been updated with nice countertops. Bring shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Check-in was easy, bed was comfortable; the only downfall was that the condo was a bit dirty. Floors and countertops were clean, but there were discarded items left in the fridge (e.g., half-drank water bottles), hairs on a couple pillowcases, and a mystery spot on the comforter. There is a washer/dryer in the unit, which was nice to have! We cleaned the bedding and everything worked out.

The property was perfect for us & our 2 boys (8 & 12). Had a great vibe & everything we needed, and was so close to Turtle Bay resort & snorkeling spot (5 min walk). The pool area was really nice, and we utilized it a lot when it got too windy at the beach and for the bbq. Vanessa offered us a discounted SUP tour, and we took her up on it and it was AMAZING! She took us through a mangrove out of the bay in Haleiwa and we saw so many turtles. My 12 yr old picked it up right away, but my 8 yr old was struggling with the paddle so she threw him on her board & did all the work while he just cruised, laying on his belly! She even took random pictures of all of us throughout the tour & texted them to me after. She had alot of interesting info about the turtles that my boys are still talking about. Vanessa was so friendly & I really enjoyed talking about “mom life” with her. We are so happy with both decisions to stay at this place & to do the paddle board tour. We will definitely be back!

This condo was perfect for all of our vacation needs! It has breathtaking views of the golf course/gardens, two very comfortable beds, and two separate, beautifully remolded bathrooms. The kitchen was very pretty with high end appliances. The check in was easy, and the included parking spot right in front of the condo was so nice! We also got a lot of use from the in-unit washer and dryer; However, don’t run the washer at night because you won’t be able to sleep with how loud it is. We were a matter of steps from the turtle bay resort and could use all the amenities the resort provides besides the resort pool, but the condo has their own pool. Some amenities we used/enjoyed were the resort restaurants, lounge chairs in the sun, day spa, the resort activities/events, and the resorts’ beach access. A couple of minor inconveniences included a couple of bugs spotted in the kitchen, limited hot water (can’t have both showers running at same time), limited privacy with the studio bedroom, and the fact that the front room gets really hot even with the A/C unit and fan blasting. Ultimately, we really loved this place and would stay here again! It was really hard to leave.

My parents, significant other and I all stayed in the property. We had a great time! The property is situated in the condos of the Turtle Bay property and the resort was within walking distance. We had access to everything but the Turtle Bay pool, but had our own within the condo’s property. Knowing we were paying about 1/3 of the price we knew we were not going to be staying with 5- star amenities but the price is fair for what you receive, please keep that in mind. We had a few complaints on cleanliness, lack of non-stained bath/ beach towels or lack of towels thereof and have yet to hear back from the property manager about these things. And for the knowledge of everyone, this is a bed in a living room plus 1 additional bedroom, not necessarily 2 “studios” connected which threw us off but again, much better than paying so many thousands of dollars more to get into the Turtle Bay Resort. All in all, great time and fair price for what you receive.

The description of this property implies there are two separate bedrooms connecting to a kitchen/living area. This is NOT the case. The unit is a bedroom connected to a living/kitchen area that has a bed in the living room. This disrupted my family and we had to make do with less privacy and space than we expected. The unit is minimally furnished and is in need of a table, kitchen pans/materials, towels, hangers, charging outlets, and beach stuff. Lamps with broken switches, tepid water in one shower, and no screen or auxiliary lock on the sliding glass doors (mosquitos came in) limiting air circulation, made for a less than satisfactory experience considering the cost of the stay. There were no instructions indicating what we could use at the resort (everything but the resort pool), no map, or directions to the property office. The condo has it's own (wonderful!) pool across the parking lot. The washing machine/dryer in the unit are nice to have. The condo is down the road from the Turtle Bay Resort, which has good but expensive restaurants, and a very wonderful sunset bar. There is a good but crowded public beach next to the resort for swimming and snorkeling. Walking trails to the east and west go along great beaches and lovely sky, however swimming isn't necessarily that safe for much of the shore line. This location offers easy access to botanical gardens, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a variety of beaches to the east and west.

First of all of this is not my first time in that part of the world North Shore , the area is very nice very quiet the actual compound on the east side where we stayed at can’t say enough it’s very very nice .
the condo I would say comfortably sleep no more than four (two queen size beds)the only problem or issue if you wanna call it that was the sofa it’s been used and broken .
I told the owner about it other than that it’s a very nice condo . It’s a downstairs unit so it can be noisy from the people above.

Vanessa’s property was perfect for our North Shore stay. It’s away from the beach crowds yet easy to get to those destinations and beat the road trip crowds coming from the other side of the island. Visit Turtle Bay Resort Pool Bar for an amazing sunset meal while watching surfers roll by! I admit I envisioned a different set-up than what it is - 1 bedroom with another bed in the living area (which means u sit up in bed to watch TV in the main area) as the couch faces away from the TV). But the back patio was wonderful, pool very nice, & location is very safe and beautiful!

This was a great spot and we wish we had more time to explore. The condo is cute and stylish, and Vanessa responded quickly to questions and requests. It could be more deeply cleaned, especially in light of Covid, with the refrigerator and some drawers cleared out from things left by previous tenants, but overall it was a nice place with a responsive host.

Close to the North Shore (which is way more fun than town) and lots of great places to eat. This place walks right out to the tennis courts and is right by surfing. Two days before arrival, I was told that they were doing renovations due to a flood and that the property would be ready by 5pm on the day of arrival. Upon landing I was told the property would not be ready for 2 days and we were offered a different property for our first 2 nights. When we arrived at the house there were roaches everywhere. I contacted the owner and she said to just get over it, she then said that the original property only needed sheets and a sink put in so we agreed to stay there and let the sink be put in the next day. We did not have a dishwasher or kitchen sink for 2 days. The place was a mess with dirty dishes, dirty laundry, and construction materials everywhere. The dishwasher was sitting on the back porch. We could not access the tv or internet for 3 days because they had hooked it up wrong, the owner finally came back to fix it. The listing says that it is a 2 bedroom, it has 1 bedroom and a bed in the living area( more a of studio) with the bed and kitchen in the same room. Both rooms have sliding glass doors but the curtains don't cover it so there is no privacy to change your clothes without someone seeing from the parking area. The listing says there is a grill but there isn't one and only had 2 skillets and 1 small pot for a family of 4. There was someone working on repairs for 4 out of 7 days.

Great stay in Turtle Bay. We were able to explore the North Shore and enjoy the beaches and sunsets. Loved the beach and snorkeling at the Turtle Bay beach right now the road. Snorkeled at Three Tables and Shark’s Cove too. Fruit stands very close to get fresh fruit (and they sliced for us). Condo was a great home base with lots of room for everyone. Having laundry and a kitchen really helped. Food trucks are very close and we ate at Lei Lei’s 2x (very close to the condo). Parking was excellent (we had our own spot). Horseback riding at Turtle Bay resort/stables was great too.

This was the perfect home base for me. I came here for my daughter’s wedding and this place was just perfect. Not really far from anything. Great location. And the beach here at turtle bay is great for swimming and snorkeling. I hiked, hosted a pre-wedding meal, snorkeled, played tennis, golfed...it was all spectacular. Wish I didn’t have to leave...

A really lovely apartment in a fantastic location, it is exactly as described. It is clean well maintained I can't think of a single negative point about it.It suited us perfectly and the fact that you have a full kitchen and washing facilities is a great advantage too. I only met Vanessa very briefly but she seemed very pleasant and welcoming and certainly replied promptly to our e-mails before we booked and also when we were stuck at LAX due to a cancelled flight. The location couldn't be better, you are 5 minute walk from Turtle Bay resort which is handy for food and the always helpful staff at the help point who can book as many activities as you can handle. We didn't hire a car and the 55 bus stop was just outside, it is regular, cheap and air-conditioned. The swimming pool, located just across the parking lot was a decent size and usually quiet, you can hire the barbecue area if you fancy it, though the pool remains open too all residents. 15 minutes on the bus takes you to Ted's bakery for amazing pie and 20 minutes takes you to Shark's cove for breathtaking snorkelling and Pupukea has the Foodland for your shopping as well as the food vans which are a must try! Haleiwa is about half an hour away for more shops and activities like shark diving and the highly recommended 'North Shore Eco-Tours,' really good if you want to find out about Hawai'ian culture. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this apartment and would happily come back and stay again. And again. And again!

This property is in a great location, just inside the main entrance to the Turtle Bay Resort drive in Kahuku/Kawela, North Shore, Oahu. The owner also operates a local surf instruction business, and was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Very close to V-Land, Sunset, Pipeline and also only 6 or 7 minutes down the windward side to the PCC. Kuilima Cove within the TB Resort looked like a good place to snorkel, and the other side of the point looked like a good place to surf. We were there in mid-March so the northerly winds were still pretty strong and the whole North Shore was pumping good. We found 'family-friendly' head-high surf west of Haleiwa towards Mokuleia/Kaena Point area (but not in the preserve) so about 25mintues away. The condo itself is in good shape, with a washer/dryer, full kitchen, tile floors, refrigerator, good shower-head with lots of water pressure, and a nice bed in the main space. The gated-entrance to the cul de sac made us feel safer than without, and the neighborhood seemed quiet and tranquil. Although we didn't use it, the pool is just across the parking area. My kids kicked the soccer ball in the nice landscaped grassy area out back through the sliding glass door of the unit. Although my grown son was not a fan of the low-end futon, everything else was in perfect order and I easily WOULD recommend this place for a couple.

The Turtle Bay condo was well appointed with a good size kitchen and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner did a reasonable job of cooling the condo. TV and wifi were excellent. There was a parking spot very close to the condo.
The condo was 10 minutes walk to the resort and 5 minutes walk to the golf club house.

The place needs a good dusting on the not used surfaces, the bed should have a mattress pad and pillows need pillow protectors, otherwise the place is super and well supplied! Thank for the terrific stay!

The studio was well maintained and the kitchen had everything we could need (even though we didn't really use much of it). The pool nearby was very nice, and Turtle Bay Resort was indeed just a 5 minute walk away. We had a little snafu figuring out which unit this was (it's the further door from the parking lot) so we ended up leaving Vanessa a message before we figured it out. She called us right back to make sure we had gotten into the space. We did not use the futon but the queen was very comfortable. Having laundry in the unit was a nice perk.

Based on it being advertised as luxury, we were a little disappointed at first as it was comfortable but could have used a cleaning before we got there. My husband had to put the patio door back on its track and the front door was hanging Quite crooked. The bed was super comfy and the grounds and the area were well kept and gorgeous. The pool was warm and really nice. With a little TLC it would be much more appealing.

The studio was really confortable and had all we needed! The kitchen was complete, and we were able to cook all we wanted. The waching and dryer machines made our stay easier, the bathroom was very good. and the bed was also cozy. Being able to use de Resort facilities was nice aswell, and the beaches nearby were heaven!

It was a nice place. The ad said 1 bedroom, but in actuality it was a studio. There was a wall unit air condition which blew really cold air. There was also a full kitchen which came in handy to cook those late night meals. The futon couch pulled out into a bed. The land lady was really nice and she accommodated the late check out. The walk to Turtle Bay hotel wasn't 5 minutes though, more like 10-15. I would recommend this to my friends.

Quiet, gated condo community. Great kitchen area to cook meals and convenient W/D in unit. Walking distance to Turtle Bay grounds, but has free parking near hotel to visit. Bed very comfortable. Condo could use some updating - had see-through window curtains, door was too small for door frame was very hard to shut. Includes parking stall. Vanessa was very easy to reach and great host!

This was my second time to stay in Vanessa's condo and like last year it was great. Easy to get to everything and easy to work with Vanessa. She provided everything we needed. I will go back there again.
