Excellent choice for smaller families or 2 couples. Wonderful ocean view. Comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Pool was just steps away, but we wished the hot tub would've been closer; hot tub was about a 10-minute walk. Multiple beaches within walking distance. Kitchen was well-equipped, although we opted to eat out mostly. Bath and beach towels were supplied for 4 guests, but it would've been nice to have a few extras.

We have stayed at the Sands before and love the views and proximity to the beaches and restaurants! The home was clean and well maintained. Beds very comfortably. Plenty of beach chairs. The home had everything we needed.

Great Location and view . Ver Ver quiet place . Liked the keyless entry. Had difficulty navigating TV's . Wife missed not having a hair blow dryer and I was able to handle lifting our larger bags up stairs but other elder seniors may find it difficult.

Just had the pleasure of staying at Poipu Sands for the past week. It was absolutely beautiful --clean, wonderful location, effortless check-in, with easy access to all parts of the island. Would stay here again in a second the next time I visit (which hopefully will be sooner, rather than later).

Little out dated the carpet felt dirty, the kitchen should have been cleaner upon arrival - had to call the PM the utensil tray was dirty and drawer to garbage was dirty - housekeeper came and cleaned and noted this unit should have a deep clean this should have been deep cleaned for our stay. Did have limited towels but housekeeper brought more iron was replaced for us and we are thankful. Each patron should have very clean unit.

We love Poipu Sands and this unit is well-equipped and has an amazing view. We would have liked AC but we know that’s a luxury. Everything else was great!

This condo is conveniently located and quiet at the same time. There was plenty of space for our family of four and had one nice pool close by, 2 others a short drive away. We enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets from the decks. The beach was just a short walk away as well. Great stay!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay! Exactly as the photos and listing show. Super easy access and communication with the owners. Lots of great recommendations before we even landed in Kauai which was super helpful in making some plans. On your doorstep are the pool, Shipwrecks beach, cliffs to view sunsets and humpback whales. Also walking distance (we don’t mind 20+ minute walks) to lots of great bars & restaurants. Super comfy bed and great facilities. Definitely recommend you book!

Listing is exactly as described! The pool view and partial ocean view is so calming. Ceiling fans in every room and portable fans in addition helped make the 2nd/3rd story pleasant and cool during our seasonally warm stay. Property is within a beautiful 6-10 minute walk to Grand Hyatt. The property grounds are well maintained. The pool was great! I recommend a pool day during your stay as it was quite refreshing. If I find myself in Poipu again, I’d book this property without hesitation!

It’s all about the location and this was a good spot to access snorkel adventures, hiking and beaches. Good restaurants nearby too- Kiawe Roots was our favorite (a hidden gem- make reservations). Little Fish Coffee has the best fruit bowls- get there early! The condo was spacious with lots of room for a family of four. Brand new washer/dryer- a plus!! The hosts had toilet paper, paper towel, laundry detergent and dish soap- very thoughtful! I wish the kitchen was a bit cleaner- the cupboards needed a good scrub inside & out. There were tiny ants upon arrival but they soon went away thanks to some liquid traps provided by the hosts. There is plenty of kitchen equipment for meals. With a deep scrub down in the kitchen- I would have cooked more meals in. The pool is very clean and was never that crowded. The maintenance men from the condo association were doing a lot of work towards the end of our trip and showed up unannounced on our deck. Privacy was compromised. The condos are aging so work was always needed. There was enough parking and the views were great. The hosts provide a great website with all you need to access your keys, adventures & shopping. One note- the hosts described a hula show at the Grand Hyatt (hotel next door) every night at 6:00pm- this is not running anymore. All in all- I had to give four stars because the hosts were great with communication (bought us an extra brand new beach chair one day- very nice) & the condo had a super location. Kauai is a tropical dream and although we had a few minor glitches with the condo- it was a wonderful & memorable trip!

My experience was pretty good staying here at this unit rental. The only thing that was confusing was trying to find the Pool with the Jacuzzi. It took is a long time to find it! This part was inconvenient for us. Aside from this it was great!! Thank you so much.

All was fine with the rental condo except design of upstairs bath tub/shower, master bed too soft and couch in family room needs to be replaced (worn out) not comfortable to sit on. Very difficult to get in and out of the upstairs tub/shower. Had to use the shower in the other bedroom. View was nice. Overall, good location and quiet neighborhood.

Overall, this is a very well furnished unit in a great location, close to Poipu beach, shops and walkable. The owners were thoughtful enough to send a note before our check in with recommendations for restaurants etc and the check in process was very easy with instructions to access lockbox, pool etc. However, during our second day in the unit, we discovered that the dryer in the unit did not work and texted the property management, They sent someone in the morning the next day who basically came and looked at the manual and the appliance and said someone else will come to fix it, Then there was radio silence from the property company until we texted them and a standard response of we are in the process of finding someone to repair the appliance and again radio silence, We were a family of four with 2 young adults who only brought 2 suits and spent most of their time in the pool and beach and I spent my vacation drying clothes in the lanai every morning and buying multiple suits so that we could go to the beach and pool. I do however want to add that the owners themselves were very thoughtful and really tried to make our stay pleasant by sending us links to restaurants and activities and the unit itself was beautiful, well maintained and in a great location. Definitely something to keep in mind for next time. Check to see if all appliances work the day you checkin to an apartment.

Poipu Sands 222 is perfectly located in Kauai's South Shore. It's an easy walk to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck's Beach via the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. It's also a quick drive to Poipu Beach and The Shops at Kukui‘ula. The condo unit is spacious, clean, and well-equipped with kitchen essentials, reliable WiFi, and plenty of towels. There's no AC but the trade winds and ceiling fans were enough to keep us cool and there are additional floor fans in each bedroom if needed. The lanai is a great place to watch the sun rise over Keoniloa Bay or to lounge in the evenings.
Jed and the Koloa Kai Vacation Rentals team are remarkly responsive to text and email inquiries. They also provided a great guestbook with clear check-in instructions and nearby recommendations. Will definitely try to book directly with them next time I visit Kauai!

The place was clean. Easy access to the beach, walking trails and the pool. Hosts were excellent communicators and courteous. Check in and out was a breeze. Overall a great place to stay.
