The condo was nice and was well supplied with dishes etc. However the bath towels smelled awful they had been left in the washer too long, they need to find a way to deodorize them or buy new ones.

The apartment itself was nice but quite dusty when we arrived. Once we cleaned everything we really enjoyed the place, especially the absolutely great lanai. There we spent most of our time and just looked at the ocean, the rovers, the stars and the moon. The kitchen was well stoked, we cooked oftentimes. There is no direct access to the beach, but we did not mind. Thank you!

We loved watching the ocean while sipping morning coffee. The unit was well equipped, with everything we needed.

This property has an amazing view and we had a great time. The pool and hot tub are nice to have, but were very busy as they were quite small. The room had all kinds is extras like umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, etc. It was very warm while we were there so having no AC in the back half of the condo was problematic as it was difficult to sleep, but if you don't mind warm sleeping it is fine.

The stay would have been perfect except the refrigerator wasn’t functioning on day 2 of our stay. We sent text and emails without any response until Monday from aaoceanfront saying the property manager would contact us. No one did. We got a call from a technician on Tuesday who said he would be there Wednesday- but didn’t get the part until the day of our departure. We had to buy ice and store our food in coolers . The property manager didn’t contact us until the day of departure only to ask if we needed help with the check out. The unit was great otherwise. Views of whales and dolphins from the lanai. Pool was nice. Jacuzzi wasn’t working.

Had some issues with a fan and the a/c unit, but the property manager responded right away. The condo is great and has everything you need.

We have been going to Seavillage for over 25 years for a weeks vacation, sometime in July, and most recently in December. We have stayed at various units. We found this unit to be very nice and especially enjoyed hearing the waves from the lanai and sometimes napping on the couch with the doors open And we appreciated the beach equipment they had available for us to borrow. We did not cook there, but it looked like they had everything one would want one in the kitchen. The king size bed was very comfortable and overall it was a very pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed this condo for our lower-budget getaway to the Big Island. The unit was very comfortable for the two of us. The main bed could use a topper or should be replaced, but everything else was quite comfortable. We could watch dolphins off the patio. The pool area was perfect as well. For the price, view and location, I would recommend this condo.

The advertised pictures on VRBO do not reflect the current condition and set up of the condo. The condo is in need of desperate repair and some attention to detail. - the lanai looks like a dumping ground for previous guests water activities. - the sliding glass door is foggy and impairs the beautiful ocean view. - the TV area is messy with cables, cords and boxes hanging in disarray. There is a hole in the wall and the TV is mis-centered and covering art work. Its the cables, cords and boxes that need to be tidied up. Messy and no attention to detail. - initially we had no hot water, but after dealing with AA Oceanfront, this issue was resolved, but I expect the guests before us would have had the same issue so it wasn't repaired before our arrival. - the master bathroom has cupboard doors installed upside down - attention to detail? - the master bathroom hot and cold taps are reversed. Not a big deal, but once again, demonstrates no attention to detail. - there is no shelf in the master bathroom so shampoos and soaps are on the ground. - the secondary bathroom water facet is too low for the raised sink. Can barely fit your hands under it. Not what is pictured in the VRBO advertisement for this condo. Once again, no attention to functionality and detail. - the living room couch was a total disaster with dirt and stains ground into the fabric. I do not think that any amount of cleaning would repair this. It was so disgusting to sit on, we had to place blankets on top. - I do not think the cleaning staff look at the linens in the closet from previous guests. We looked for spare bed sheets only to find a sheet that was terribly stained and should have been discarded. We did the next guests a favour and threw it out! We are extremely disappointed in the state of this condo. Our stay was for six weeks. My mother is 84 and this was her last trip to the islands. I was so upset and disappointed that our accommodations were not what we had hoped for and expected. Disappointing for her last memories of her trip. I do hope this message will be conveyed to the owner. It is not fair to any guests that follow us that they should have to experience what we have experienced. I hope the owner will take some time to re-invest in this property. It is a great location and great complex, but not a great unit.

The air conditioning sucked! I even emailed the property manager to ask if the AC was working and they said they “installed” a new one. A floor unit based in the living room did not cool the condo except for the living room which made it uncomfortable to sleep at night. Someone either above us or below us was smoking weed all the time which gave us a skunky smell if we had windows open. We liked the pool and jacuzzi and the view is beautiful from the lanai. But we would not stay here again.

Good lanai to watch dolphins cruise by in the morning while drinking coffee and catch sunsets while enjoying a cocktail. The bedrooms did get a hot because the portable AC in the living room couldn't cool the whole place. Seems the water heater needs to be turned up to provide more hot water for showers and such. overall though it was enjoyable and we know how the humidity and salt water affect things on the islands.

Great location within walking distance to Kailua-Kona restraints and shops. Well stocked with things like beach chairs and coolers that others left behind. The only negative is the air conditioning. There is a portable unit in the living room that helped but the bedrooms are not cool and sleeping was a challenge.

Overall, our family of four had a good experience at this 2nd floor condo. Best part was the view - the lanai faced out directly to the ocean where we could see outrigger paddlers every morning and evening. Washer and drier were convenient to use and it came with enough washer pods for our week stay. Lots of sheets and towels, and pool towels were available to use. We appreciated the beach chairs and coolers to take around on our excursions around the island. The condo was well equipped with kitchen appliances - even a small rice cooker! The property managers were super responsive to our requests over text and phone. Unfortunately, the Living room AC didn’t really work while we were there. It didn’t bother us too much as we had the windows open and there was a good breeze. Lots of communication with the management, but this part didn’t get resolved. The condo cleanliness was okay - I had to change the sheets for both beds as it felt like it was sandy when we got there but thankfully we had a lot of extras sheets to replace. Great location as we could get to so many different places from our condo within 5-20 minutes. This is a second floor condo, so you have some people above and below you. There’s a little noise from doorsteps, but that’s to be expected being sandwiched in between. The kids really enjoyed the pool, though it was a little murky - probably from every one swimming with their sunscreen. Bedrooms are in the back and slatted windows. This can be a little noisy with the parking lot in the back, but we didn’t have too much noise. TV’s are in each of the bedrooms. Again, management was super responsive and friendly, which we appreciated, and super apologetic for the AC and garbage disposal not working.

While entering the condo, we were delighted by the closeness to water, sound of ocean and ocean breeze, the goodness stops there and rest is the just pain to deal with. The condo was not clean and VRBO does not allow to post pictures to show that. Floor felt sticky to walk on, couch was discolored by amount of dirt on it, dishwasher had food leftover from previous party, so many dirty pans and dishes and the patio door glass was foggy, so you couldn't enjoy the view sitting from dirty couch. The management failed to send someone until next day and all that person did was just try to clean patio door and that's it. So we had to clean dishwasher ourselves to clean dirty pans and dishes. Worst thing- dishwasher wasn't cleaning anything. Even after asking management again, they sent someone on day 4 and that person just ran a dishwasher cycle and said it's fixed and dishes were still dirty. Addition to above pain, there were damages on the floor and various places in condo and patio. The 2nd bathroom had missing drain plug and drain looked dirty. Master bathroom seems to have mold growing near sink. On top of that, sleep is something which you cannot get in this condo. The beds had mattresses which seemed to be sagging at various places and was uncomfortable to sleep. All the bedroom and bathroom doors are like old closet doors with vented wood strips so there is no sound barrier or privacy. Someone using bathroom would be heard in both bedrooms, with all doors closed. And the bedrooms are next to parking lot, less than 10 feet from the cars. You can hear people parking, chatting laughing, locking/unlocking cars (even from the complex parking lot) as the windows also don't close all the way, they are vented kind. All in all, I wouldn't fall for this condo for it being oceanfront. I would do and let my friends do their due diligence before staying.

Everything was fine but the AC's didn't work properly, way too hot and AC was working much more like a Fan and not even thou we did everything we could to fix it but didn't get cold enough other than that everything was fine.

We have stayed @ Sea Village many times before. The condo we stayed @ this time was beautiful . The only negative & it was a BIG one was the noise level from guests staying in the unit above & on the side of us . Also the parking lot noise at all hours was horrendous! The noise curfew doesn’t seem to be matter to some :(

April 2022
This property is ok. Not great, not terrible. Floors are "boomy", so people upstairs sound like water buffalo when they walk around. Well appointed, clean unit. Some confusion at check in, housekeeping was not done when we arrived and told us to come back at 4. Wasn't a big deal, but check in is at 3. The only real issue we had was with parking lot noise. Since the bedrooms are right there it can be a problem. Overall it's a really good value. Not sure I'd stay again, but if you need a 2 bedroom for a good price you could do worse

Very comfortable oceanfront property. All the extra beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel equipment, coolers and towels were above expectations. We’ll stocked kitchen, bathroom and linens.

We stayed in another condo at Sea Village back in April and really liked it, but we needed two bedrooms this time. The property itself was excellent. Great location, great ocean views. We had some other family staying in another condo in the complex and took advantage of the picnic tables and grills--eating hot dogs and watching the sunset. What's not to love? Also, we were there for Thanksgiving, and I was very impressed with how well outfitted the place was. It's no easy task to serve a holiday meal away from home, we we did it. There were plenty of knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, utensils, and even salt and pepper. Well done on outfitting the kitchen! But, the unit wasn't without its issues. One of the reasons we chose it was the air conditioner, but it leaked so badly that we couldn't use it. One of the toilets kept malfunctioning, so we had to take the lid off and repair multiple times a day. The master bathroom vanity has space for 3 bulbs, but only 1 was working, making the room really dim for applying makeup and shaving. (We were there for a wedding, so it wasn't as if we spent the whole week at the beach). We asked for an early check-in and never heard back. I contacted them the day we got there (Wednesday) to tell them about the issues we were having, and I heard back on Monday--the day before we were leaving. Then, we asked for a late check-out and never heard back. So, great location, but I was unimpressed with the response time of the management company.

We loved the location of this place. Food, Shopping, and Beaches all right there. View was GREAT with sunsets and wildlife (even got to see a whale surface from the balcony). We visited most parts of the island and this was definitely the place to stay!

We stayed here for 3 weeks. We love this complex. The pool is always a friendly place to be especially at sundown. But we were surprised to find the condo with a number of issues. The WiFi and the TV didn’t work when we arrived. The condo had cleanliness issues as well. There were a number of plates, glasses and utensils that had been put away dirty. There were only 2 dish towels so I had to wash them frequently. There was a lot of broken things, pool/beach toys, patio chairs, beach chairs, one toilet didn’t flush properly, light bulbs had to be replaced. I will say the property manager was very responsive and friendly. I know the condo was up for sale while we were there and feel this is probably the reason for it being so rundown. Hopefully new owners will fix it up.

Check in and check out was a breeze. The Lanai overlooking the ocean was an amazing way to start every morning. The property itself felt just like home. The only downside to Hawaiian properties is a lack of AC. Lucky for us, the windows on the bedroom side open to make a wonderful breeze through the home to the lanai, There’s also an AC unit near the couch to turn on when home, and tower fans for EVERY room as needed. Overall we loved this spot, and cannot wait to go back. *side note, the bed frames are gorgeous but stick out a little around the corners. Please be mindful, so your bruises don’t have bruises like mine lol. Other than that, our stay was very comfortable, and home-y.

This property has the BEST view from the lanai. We started each day with coffee and ended each evening with cocktails on this wonderful lanai. The location is great, since it's a quick walk or 2 minute drive to town, but far enough away to not be busy and noisy. We're already planning our next trip!

The property was perfect for what we needed. The location was within walking distance of downtown Kona for dinner, shopping or happy hour. The property was stocked with all the items you would need for vacation but don't want to pack. Coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, laundry detergent. Plus, the property management was extremely responsive when we had a tiny issue with the WiFi. 10 out of 10...would highly recommend.

Feel guilty giving a negative review as the management company was very polite in all of our interactions together, however: 1. When we checked in, the bathroom sink lacked a faucet. As in it was just a useless dish with a hole in it. We were forced to wash our hands in the shower. Once notified the management company hired someone to come fix it, but this is symptomatic of how relatively disconnected the business side was from the situation on the ground. 2. Everything within the condo is the lowest rent version available. There was an air conditioning unit, but it only cooled one small corner and dripped into a bucket we had to dump EVERY 4 HOURS. Because of this you couldn't leave it on overnight because it would overflow the bucket and leak all over the floor. 3. The second bedroom was tiny, hot, and clearly not meant for all the furniture placed in it. The desk lamp had no associated wall plug, it was just unplugged and I guess pretty to look at? The ceiling fan rocked like it was going to shoot loose at any moment, and made such a huge noise that it kept us up if it was on. Of course, because there was no other cooling system we had to leave it on anyway and just try to ignore the loud whirring/squeaking/spinning sound of the precariously tethered blades over our heads. 4. The fridge was at max 'cool' but never really got cold. One burner on the oven was cracked. All of the cooking utensils were cracked, scratched, or warped. On the positive side, it was very close to the ocean. The view from the deck was nice, and we spent most of our time there because the rest of the unit was so uninhabitable. I'm not accustomed to sweating profusely while using the bathroom, but I guess I got used to it here.

We loved our stay. The unit is comfortable and had everything we needed. It was so nice to enjoy our coffee in the morning while watching the dolphins swim. I would recommend new beach towels, and a shade on the lanai or the patio doors for the afternoon sun. We did have a wonderful time at the condo and do highly recommend it!
