There were so many beautiful homes in Pili Mai. I chose this one because of the wonderful lanai views of the golf course, palm trees and ocean. I also liked the beautiful white bedding and well appointed rooms. Great location by the pool, too. We used the porta crib, beach chairs and small cooler for our beach trip. TV's in each room was a perk, too.

Villa was exactly as pictured and described. Enjoyed being on the golf course and having mountain and ocean views in the distance. Villa was very clean and provided plenty of space for our family of 5. We walked to beach several times (20 minutes) but preferred to drive and were able to find parking at all the nearby beaches.

Absolutely a fantastic place to stay.
Pros:
1. Three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, laundry facilities are a huge plus.
2. Location close to the pool for teenagers, a huge plus.
3. The views! Looking out across the golf course, you can see the ocean and mountains.
4. The beach chairs, day cooler, boogies boards, and toys are awesome.
5. Very clean unit, nice beds/linens, wonderful simple decor, and the kitchen is well supplied with dishes, etc.
6. Loved having designated parking spot.
7. Staff left us a note with chocolates and snacks for our trip.
8. Easy drive to local beaches. Or a nice walk for walkers. Not an easy stroll. So don't plan on sipping cofffee at the beach on your walk.
Cons:
1. Although the views from the golf course are amazing, there are general noises associated with maintenance of the facilities.
2. A golf ball hit the side of the condo, it was LOUD!
3. The washer isn't balanced, so it often makes noises when in use.
4. The ease at finding the parking and unit in the dark while raining was challenging.
5. Not close enough to the ocean to hear or watch the waves.
6. One of the boogie boards need the leash replaced and is sort of in dispreair. But it works for just floating in the ocean.
7. Don't recommend for those who can't navigate stairs.
I loved this unit and highly recommend it for families. If you prefer to sit outside and watch the ocean, you may need to look for a different unit. Mahola

This condo exceeded all our expectations! The view from the Lanai out over the golf course and down to the ocean was beautiful! The location of the condo near the pool was perfect. The condo itself was spotless and the perfect place for our family of 8. This is by far the best condo we’ve ever stayed at and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai!

This was such a lovely home. It was very well stocked, very clean and really inviting. There were two families of four staying there together and there was plenty of room for all of us.
It is in a great location and this unit is close proximity to the pool.
It felt like home away from home! Loved it!

We are frequent travelers and spent 2 weeks in this location. Beautiful view, great location. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Plenty of space for family of 7. Several maintenance issues noted in January by previous guests ( broken window, broken fan on lainai) still not addressed by Vacasa. Master shower needs a major scrub. Hot tub broke for 1 week of our 2 week stay. We had issue of housekeeping entering our condo and going through our personal items while we were out. According to Vacasa this was an error-they entered wrong condo. After entering they started packing up our belongings, emptying dresser drawers etc. We should have been notified by Vacasa prior to returning to our condo at end of the day.This incident occurred on the weekend so we were routed to call center on mainland. Eventually issue was addressed by local management. This was a disturbing occurrence as the condo was left in disarray. Will not rent from Vacasa in the future!

The lack of garage access eliminated the possibility to rent a surf board, scooter, paddle board, unless I wanted to haul it up to the second floor each day. The glass in one window is broken and the shade is pulled down to obstruct the view of the boarded-up window sill. The washing machine needs maintenance (spin cycle). One lanai fan needs maintenance. The shower door handle in the master bedroom needs maintenance. Make certain to be checked out by 10 AM, because the cleaning staff is scheduled to arrive immediately at 10 AM.

The pictures do not do it justice. The view of the golf course, the ocean in the distance, sunsets, and the surrounding mountains is stunning. We were just blown away as soon as we walked in. The unit is spacious, our party of eight people were quite comfortable, and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is well stocked and included a blender, coffee maker, waffle maker, plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc.. There was also toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent in the unit. Plenty of towels, beach chairs, etc. Great location about a five minute drive from Poipu Beach and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend

We own at the Marriott nearby but needed a bigger space and we were a bit worried about how we would like a new location and condo. We were very happy! The condo was spacious, spotless, comfortable beds, and we enjoyed the lanai and the view. The pool was perfect for a toddler and was never too crowded. I would highly recommend this property. The management company was very efficient and prompt with any questions and requests.

I have stayed in many Airbnb's, Marriott Home and Villas, and VRBO's. You can start to tell the difference between someone who cares about the people that stay in the home, and someone who is a vacation home slumlord. I can tell you that this homeowner cares about the people that stay in the home.
The home is beautifully furnished. The nautical theme can be seen throughout the home. The kitchen and furniture are modern. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. There is a huge TV with a sound system that we watched "Footloose" on. It was perfect for that type of movie. A gift was waiting on the kitchen counter for us when we arrived that was very thoughtful. Before we could wash any dishes, the owner arrived with more dishwasher pods because she forgot to restock. The fact that she figured out there was a problem before we realized there was a problem shows the type of care she had for our vacation.
Since the owner was able to come to restock, I am going to assume that she is a local. I do prefer to do business with locals as the funds continue to stimulate the island economy. This is a plus for me.
The condo overlooks the golf course and has a partial ocean view. We were able to eat dinner on the patio while the sun set over the horizon. We did this everyday because we fell in love with the view. It is located steps away from the pool and spa. The pool and spa are hotel/resort quality. They even have a 1 foot kiddy pool for toddlers. They also provide beach towels in each room to be used in the pool or at the beach. There were boogey boards and other beach items for us to use when we visited the beach.
We were able to go to a Costco that was on the way from the airport, and saved tons on food. I suggest the same for anyone staying in the home. However, there is a nearby market, nearby restaurants and even a drug store if needed.
This was my 1st visit to Kauai, and this home made me want to return. It is a great deal for 2 couples with kids. I hope to stay in the same home the next time I visit Kauai.
If you are on the fence about what home to get at similar pricing, please choose this one. It is that good.

Beautiful property. Immaculate and smooth self check in process. Nice great room to hang out for friends and family and the lanai is large with beautiful views to the ocean. Rooms are spacious and had more than enough space for our family of four. Enjoyed meals there. Owners are thoughtful to supply all you need for cooking, laundry and beach supplies. Boogie boards, igloo, beach chairs & umbrella in the closet. My family & I were sad to leave this beautiful place and island. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the location of this condo, it had a great view of the sunset and 1st an 9th hole of the Kiahuna golf course. It was quiet until 6:00AM when the maintenance crew started mowing the lawn. There was a problem contacting anyone to help with numerous problems we had upon check in and even prior to check in. Using Vacasa as the rental agency the phone would ring forever and then we would be on hold for 25 minutes. It took several hours the day we checked in and the next morning to get the issues solved. So all and all customer service is horrible. The bed upstairs was comfortable, did not use the master downstairs as it faced the parking lot and pool and we wanted it quiet at night. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and bath products. I would stay here again if they had better customer service and someone at the property to help with issues. They are based in Colorado and no one works on the weekends.

The walk down the road to the Kiahuna Plantation's beach was so great... a highlite! And, right across from the pool was a treat for my kids (and not loud or even audible from inside the condo if you're not with kids :)

The bedrooms were great with good beds. We were glad it was on the second floor to avoid the morning roosters (common in Kauai). It would be nice if they added an ottoman in the family room but we had a great experience.

Pili Mai was crowded but this unit was quiet and faced the golf course. It had a view of the ocean and sunsets. We could hear the ocean in the distance. Vacasa, rental agency charged us huge rental fees, doubling the price. They would not allow us late check out so we paid full price for one 18 hour day. Don’t rent through Vacasa

Sunrises on the master lanai are equally as amazing. The home is located only minutes from some of the best beaches and shopping on the island. I want to stay here every time I visit!

Property is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. It’s literally equipped with everything you need. They also provide you with shampoo & conditioner ( big bottle) that will last your entire stay. This was a “staycation” for my family and I and this is hands down the best place we stayed at so far. We will be returning again (to this specific unit)

Pili Mai 8i was a great condo for our group of seven. We found the pool and location to be convenient, the condo clean and in order, and check in/ out was super easy. We would stay there again!
