Excellent beach location, great resort, beautiful view, nicely renovated, very clean comfortable king size and queen pullout beds, and all the household amenities we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved the location as it was at the end of town and was quiet. The stretch of beach in front of the resort was very nice. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great, and the grounds were very well taken care of. We would definitely come back and stay in this exact location again.

Condo was a described. We enjoyed the condo and our stay. VACASA reached out by text/ call a couple times to make sure everything was great. Condo has a great view, and grounds are extremely well maintained. We also used the grills by the pool a couple of times, and those are thoroughly cleaned each morning by staff). We liked that the resort had shopping carts on the first floor to bring groceries etc up to your door. Walking distance to farmers market, ABC store, and shaved ice. The beach is very nice too. We walked the beach every morning. I would stay here again. I would recommend you bring (unless you want to purchase on your own once there) extra dishwasher and laundry tabs. They provide a few of each. Also, bring fabric softener if you want it. No complaints. Sheets and pillow cases are in the bottom drawer of the tall dresser (we didn't find them until the day before we left because we didn't look in that drawer until then, so just FYI if you'll need them for the pull out couch).

We always return to Sugar Beach Resort. The grounds are immaculate, never crowded, access to everything. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We stayed in this condo for nearly 3 weeks with our two children. The unit is nicely upgraded, well stocked and just as pictured. The sofa sleeper was comfy enough for two younger kiddos. The unit is centrally located, the pool and grounds were always clean and the A/C worked well. I took off one star because the unit's beach umbrella was broken, the shoulder strap on the beach cooler was broken, and one edge of one of the boogie boards was broken. Those items were unusable and we had to pay to rent a beach umbrella. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Amazing views from either lanai or in condo or ocean, the valley, and upcountry! Thoughtful details including nice beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie board, as well as small library for beach reads. Love the amenities of Sugar Beach including Dina’s SandWitch with the friendliest staff, Massage Maui, and beach/pool access. Perfect central location on island. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

This condo was awesome! Centrally Located, oceanfront/ oceanview and super super clean. The condo had everything we needed and more. We definitely enjoyed our say and would stay again. The restaurant/ bar on the property was great for food and drink. Also received a massage from Maui Massage which is on property too. It was definitely one of the best massages I have ever received. Renting, checking in and checking out was breeze. Thanks for a wonder experience.

First VRBO experience. Property was clean and as advertised. Location on beautiful Sugar beach, walking distance from fruit stand, Sugar beach Bakery and Ululanis shave ice. Driving location 20-30 mins from others parts of the island. Perfect for our young family of 4.

This place was perfect for us, we went for our honeymoon and the pictures were just as shown. The place was clean, kitchen supplied with everyday cooking pots, pans, plates. We liked how this location is in the middle of Lahaina, Paia, and Wailea. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay, clean and located on a great beach. Close to everything! You may want to check the bathroom fan as it sounds really bad after it runs for a while. Not an issue for us though.

We had a great time! This condo was perfect! We had a great view of the ocean, it was clean and updated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, towels were large and fluffy and the beach towels were the nice big ones! There’s two beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler and two boogie boards to use. Great pool and just steps to the beach. ABC store, Sugar Beach Bakery and Ululani’s are walking distance. The only negative would be the bed is VERY firm!

It was a good location and very clean. There was a great sand beach but kind of rocky when you go out to swim. The check in process I never received anything but a quick call and someone sent me the info. The views were great and the condo was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Great location. Easy access to beach head. Lovely pool and hot tub area. Comfortable and attractive room. Wonderful view of sunrise and sunset. Beaches not crowded like at resort areas north. Would come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach. The condo was recently updated, comfortable and well-stocked (had everything you'd need for eating and cooking meals as well as extras like tupperwear, foil, bag clips, and things like that). The condo also had 2 smart tvs (in case you were wondering--I asked beforehand but VaCasa didn't know). Lots of towels, good a/c and beach chairs, etc for the beach. On top of that, the lanai was wonderful: there was a great view of the ocean (we could even hear the waves from inside the condo!!). The one complaint was that the wifi was really slow (but do you go to Hawaii to spend it on your devices? Of course not!!).
The resort itself was nice. We especially liked the lawn area with lounge chairs to relax in, right in front of the beach. This stretch of Sugar Beach is great for walking up and down the beach, especially at low tide. Please note: the beach can be windy at times, but still pleasant to be on even then.
