Great view. Very close ocean and can hear the sounds of wave

Check in and check out we’re very easy. Parking was no problem. Nice ocean view and at night after the traffic dies down, you can have the sliding glass door open and listen to the waves. The unit was very clean. Unit has one small AC unit in the living room. The cool air does not reach the bedroom, despite the living room being ice cold and the bedroom door open with a fan on full speed. The refrigerator did not work, at all. The Wi-Fi was very spotty and made it difficult when needing a reliable connection for work. Pulled out the hide a bed couch to lie down to watch tv. It was terribly uncomfortable. Overall, the view was the only real plus to this unit.

Room was as advertised. I liked the view of the Ocean, there is a road between you and the water, but not that noisy early morning or late evening. Room was a bit dated, but clean. Short drive to Magic Sands beach, or to downtown Kona. I really enjoyed my morning coffee on the lanai, and when at the room at the end of day, the Sunset, again, from the lanai. Awesome 10 days! Thank You!

It was a nice place to stay. Close to tourist spots and places to eat. The ocean was across the street and we saw some awesome sunsets. However there were a few things that were lacking. First, one closet door was not working and it was in disrepair so we didn't use the only closet. Second there were 3 light bulbs that were out, we changed two of them with the spares in the unit but one of the hallway bulbs were out and we couldn't reach it even if we had a replacement bulb. Third, the listing stated that there were smartphone charging cables but there were none to be found - hopefully we won't be charged for things that were not in the unit. Fourth - listing also stated there were 2 sets of keys but there was only one - good thing we only needed the one set. Fifth - the unit had a bathroom but the toilet paper holder on the wall was hanging on by a thread so we never used the holder, just put the roll of TP on the back of the toilet. Whoever repaired the holder before we came clearly didn't know what they were doing as the 'fix' was actually pulling the holder out of the wall and actually made it worse. Sixth - the weather was in the high 80s with high humidity (worse than on Oahu were we live). There was one AC in the living room that worked well but no AC in the bedroom. It was so hot and humid we could not sleep in the bedroom even with all the windows opened and the AC running in the living room. We ended up closing the bedroom door closed, pulled out the sofa bed and slept in the living room with the AC on. Good thing we didn't have more than 2 people on this trip. Seventh - the glass patio sliding glass door wouldn't open or lock half the time. Seems the locking mechanism was faulty and you had to jiggle the lock level a number of times to get it to engage/disengage. Most of the time we had the door closed but couldn't lock it. Thankfully we were on the third floor and no one would be able to climb in and enter the unit via the lanai. With that being said, the unit was stocked with everything we needed in regards to pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, etc. We didn't use the stove at all and the fridge was really clean. We knew by paying less and getting this unit it wouldn't be as nice as the Hilton but the things that were wrong showed poor management when it came to maintenance. Still was a good trip for us as we spent the majority of our time traveling around the island seeing the sights.

All of the logistics related to my stay went very well. The unit, however, could have been better. I like to mostly eat in when I am in Kona, and the kitchen was not well stocked in some ways, and overstocked in others. I couldn’t find a bowl to make salad, so used one of the three rice makers instead. The description of the unit did not include that the unit had a blender, which would have been nice to know ahead of time, as would have knowing that the unit had a washer and dryer. There was a dirty sock in the closet when I got there, and the whole closet was grimy. The closet doors seem to be original equipment, and fell off the runners several times. In all, this is an average unit in a very nice location. Some attention to detail in the listing, cleaning and updating could make a huge difference.

This was our second time in room 366. We liked the location, the view and the setup of this condo.

I loved this condo at Kona Bali Kai. It had amazing views, the most comfortable bed, a remodeled bathroom and a perfectly central location in Kona. I look forward to staying again and again. An extra shout-out to the Vacasa staff who were super available, helpful, and attentive to me. Can't say enough about how great they were!

We were surprised how wonderful the view from the living room was. Great to walk into the room and see that ocean! Updated bathroom, kitchen with dishwasher was very nice. Ceiling fans everywhere was a big plus. We only used the AC once but then we were out and about all the time. Would definitely return

You can see and hear the ocean. Quiet in bedroom area since it does not face the street. You are able to get a cross breeze throughout due to the front and back window not being obstructed. Having a washer and dryer is always nice. Just be prepared to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs. This might give some exercise or will help you determine if your luggage is to heavy for your next flight. Great place to stay while visiting the Big Island.

Good Property and location. The total price is different from what is shown on expedia because of cleaning and all that. would be good to show a fully burdened price.

Kona Bali Kai is a comfortable and cozy condo community with a beautiful view of the Kona coast and convenient to some of the best snorkeling spots on the West coast of the Big Island. This was a honeymoon trip and my husband and I couldn't have been happier. Quick assistance from the front desk when we had a problem operating the cable. Highly recommend!
