Grab a morning cup of coffee and set out on the beach path just outside of the community, and you'll be on the sand after an easy walk. Very pleasantly surprised as this was new area for us. Very quiet and private next to lava field on lanai. Perfect fit for 3 generations with grandson living in loft. He was totally happy. Well located to most activities. Lovely pool area. We would happily rent here again.

The only thing I did not like was the fact that there were no pictures or discussion indicating a significant stairway entry into the property till I was about 2 weeks away. I did then read something about the stairs when I was already committed. Entry was very difficult for myself and my friend to get our bags into the condo since we both have some disabilities in our ability to carry large, heavy bags up all those stairs. Had I an understanding of this ahead of time, I probably would not have booked the property for myself and my friend. Also your instructions for entry at the door need to include pulling the door handle towards the person in order for the electronic deadbolt lock to disengage and open. I had to call Vacasa for help in order to get in. They were great, responsive, and very helpful. Otherwise everything was very nice!

Perfect location to the Beach Club, everything you need to cook a meal for your family on the stove or on the bbq grill outside. Even had chairs and umbrellas to use at the Beach Club because the cabanas are reserved pretty early. I will definitely inquire to stay here again when I'm in the area.

Beautiful little enclave lush with vegetation, flowers and birds. Very comfortable and roomy condo. Nice layout. Really in need of new carpeting/ flooring though. Loved the small beach you can walk to. Great beach for snorkeling. Lovely pool/hot tub. Two of the most spectacular beaches just a short ( 5 min) drive North on the highway. Mauni Lani Resort very nice as well. Great outdoor restaurant on the property with fabulous food and sunsets. Highly recommend.

This condo is a great location for the excellent snorkeling at Makaiwa Bay. It's a nice walk through the Manoku fishponds to get to the "beach club." Of course the beach is open to anyone, the "beach club" just allows use of the lounge chairs - no towels or other services offered. There are some shade trees and a cafe. The Mauna Lani resort area is designed with ample space between different developments (e.g. The Palms, The Terraces, the hotel, etc). The view from this condo lanai is of undisturbed lava flows with a glimpse of the ocean beyond - and even Maui if the air is clear enough. Very relaxing and beautiful. This condo unit has its own locked garage, so you can safely leave all you snorkel kit, bicycles etc in the garage. The owner has left some snorkel kit, boogie boards, etc. Casual cycling in the area is nice - but as usual for Hawaii, there is not much signage and the condo does not supply an area map. Go to the hotel reception and ask for a useful map of the resort, and then be prepared to cycle on paths that look like they might just be for golf carts - and maybe are, never figured it out. Plenty of cycling outside the resort, especially if you don't mind cycling on a bike lane adjacent to a busy highway. The condo itself is nice in overall appearance, with comfortable beds and good linens, but the details are the problem. The carpet is stained and not stretched correctly anymore. The lanai floor and rails haven't been cleaned for some time so are grubby. The kitchen supplies are well used and offer the usual random assortment of odd things that you find in a vacation rental, but never the thing you really want to find (in this case, a sharp knife, a plastic cutting board for onions, rather than the fancy wood one that should only be used for bread. And salad spinner, see comment below about water.). It did have a nice rice maker, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster and wine fridge. The main refrigerator was broken during our stay - another fridge was already stuffed in a spot by the dining table, which was inconvenient but acceptable for our short stay. It looked like the main fridge had been broken for some time already - you might want to ask about the appliances before booking. The stove is radiant heat, which is not easy to cook on if you are used to induction or gas. The tap water in this area is heavily chlorinated. You might prefer to bring a Brita filter, or buy drinking water.

We loved the property and the location. We loved the private beach club with the cabanas and loungers and the lovely pool area! We loved the provided beach chairs, sand toys for the kids, coolers and umbrellas. We loved the bbq and enjoyed many meals on the lanai. The place was very nice and clean and even came with very nice Hawaiian treats which we thought was a really nice touch! The kitchen had lots of pots and pans plates and cutlery but almost no mixing bowls or Tupperware or places to save leftovers or things to pack food in to the beach but overall still nice. A few other little things to make this an even better stay would be a water cooler with a 5 gallon jug of water as we found the water to be not very tasteful and had to buy water. There was 1 glass for each person so we ended up buying some plastic cups we could bring down to the pool area and beach. The fridge was not working when we arrived but they were excellent and brought us coolers and ice for the first day and we had a rental fridge the next day so that was a bit of a headache at first but all worked out in the end. Overall, we had an amazing time and the place was perfect for our family of 6. We would recommend this place.

Ideal location, and good bones to property. Carpet was worn and looked a little dirty. Many the bath towels were also worn. Very few dishes available to cook.

Make sure they have replaced the carpets and blinds before you book this place. And, ask about a really thorough cleaning. The shower floor and walls, especially and dusting (particularly the ceiling fans!). The Palm Villas are the best and this one had the best view.

The space was perfect for our getaway! EVERYTHING we needed and more! It was so helpful to have a fully stocked kitchen! We really appreciated the ease of check-in/out and most importantly the communication was clear and easeful before during and after our stay!

The private lanai deck at the back has beautiful views over the lava and palm trees, with the Pacific just visible. There are not too many visible structures between you and the Pacific, and it feels expansive and private. We spent many hours here eating, chatting, and working (thanks to the electric plug on the deck and fast WIFi!) From the loft, Mauna Kea is visible through the trees. The AC is nice, but the tradewinds flowing through are even better. The condo itself is comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is serviceable with good appliances (electric range and wine fridge) and basic pots and pans. For those who love to cook, the grill and range are good, but note that the pantry is not stocked with basics. BYO oils and spices and anything other than salt and pepper. The Foodland Farms, a 20 min walk away, has what you need, including a great cheese counter. Stop at Ocean Fresh Fish pop up on the corner of the highway and Waikoloa Road for consistently delicious, fresh fish. There are endless cable stations, but it's not a smart TV meaning that (unless we missed something), it's not possible to do any streaming on the TV. The location can't be beat. The complex is quiet, with a gorgeous pool, and only a 20 min walk or super quick drive to the beach. The local Vacasa management is really kind and responsive. Mahalo for a lovely spot!

The property was clean and in a good location. It is very dated with carpet that needs to be replaced. The kitchen needs more dishes and organization.

Really liked the location of this condo. It had all of the essentials we needed (cookware, wifi, beach gear, etc.). Liked having an enclosed garage to park our vehicle in. The only issue was the carpet - it was a somewhat worn. But for the price it was a great rental for us.

The setup in the unit was perfect for our situation. 3 adult males staying in unit each with his own large bed and privacy. Usually hard to find. We would rent this unit again given the opportunity

Really clean, comfortable, and in a very nice little neighborhood with nice amenities. Great for both using as a home base for adventures throughout the island, or just staying there and hanging out at the pool and beach.

The Mauna Lani resort grounds are gorgeous. You never need to leave. We met friendly neighbors who were helpful, the home itself was gorgeous and well-appointed. Everything you needed for a day at the beach or pool was provided for you. We could live there!

We had the best time staying here. The property was immaculate and the views were amazing. The location was also great. We could walk to the beach from the condo. We will be staying here again next time we visit the Big Island.

Our family of four stayed here for five days, and the place was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we appreciated the use of the beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards. We had some issues with the guest bathroom off of the kitchen, but the property manager was very prompt in addressing the problems. We liked the location of the condo and made use of the pool and beach club. Definitely will return on our next trip to the big island of hawaii.

This was our first stop during our two-week vacation in Hawaii (Big Island and Oahu). The location was perfect for our family with two young kids. We definitely took advantage of the on-property amenities, access to the beach club, and the overall convenience of being central to everything in the area. The place itself was also perfect with ample space not to mention the boogie boards, beach chairs, etc in the garage. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this well thought out home and the area in which we stayed. The pool facilities are beautiful as well as the beach access and hotel amenities that are available. We also enjoyed the proximity to other towns and then he coastal beaches

Our family celebrated birthdays and the general opening up of the economy on the Big Island at Puako. We visited the volcano, several different beaches, waterfalls and went scuba or snorkeling almost every day. This perfect condo was outstanding as home base. Additionally, we cooked "at home" almost every night as restaurant occupancy was still limited. The barbeque and the kitchen were well equipped to accommodate our needs, and we enjoyed having our meals out on the lanai. We had plenty of room for everyone and were able to relax whenever we had a moment. We truly enjoyed our stay.
