Property location was amazing. Views spectacular. We really enjoyed the unit itself but the mismanagement by Vacasa has left a negative impression. When we arrived, we were advised that the upstairs bathroom sink had leaked and was not functional. We were then informed that a replacement part was going to be installed so the bathroom could be useable and that was the last that we heard. The shower upstairs also backed up, never to be serviced. When one spends the money we did for 8 nights, we would expect that we would have a functional bathroom. If there was the issue with the sink, then we would expect it to be handled. Instead, it was not handled and we never heard another word about it. So, we basically had one functioning bathroom for 4 people when we paid to have 2 bathrooms. Upon return to the mainland, we had to contact Vacasa and again report the issue and they assured us they would look into the issue and get back to us. Weeks passed and nothing., We reached out to them again, only to be told that they would look into it and get back to us with an offer of compensation to address the fact that we had one bathroom and were completely ignored by Vacasa. It is now December and of course not one word. Contacted them again to inquire as to status. They responded to the text and then when told that they completely failed to respond, then went dark again. I really hope the owner reads this review and addresses the issue with his management at the local and corp level

We could hear the ocean from any part of the condo, which we loved. It has a partial ocean view from the balcony and a better ocean view from the dining room and master bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped except for NO sharp knives. We really liked watching the nene's and albatross from the balcony. We watched the sunset from the bluff with beach chairs that were provided. The condo itself is dated and needs work inside. I believe it was built in 1974 and it shows. Self check-in and check-out was easy. We loved the location of this complex.

Would stay here again. Unit just as advertised. Clean, inviting, comfortable. Spectacular view-whales and rainbows. Great kitchen and all amenities needed. Beach down paved path felt private as no one else there. Slight glitch with Vacasa check in but their urgent phone number for key code answered quickly and Vacasa appropriate with apology.

This spacious condo is quiet, comfortable and well situated and has a nice side view of the ocean and the golf course. Just walk about 20 yards or so around the cliff top to see the "Bali Hai" beautiful sunset view. At the time of year we were there, the lanai got the morning sun. We were not so happy with the maintenance and cleanliness of the unit which we addressed with the representative who was responsive and did her best to help us but it seems there are some neglected maintenance issues like screen doors, blinds and dishwasher that needed repair or replacement, and we had a problem with small beetles when we arrived. It felt a little neglected and needs some TLC.

Beautiful ocean views from the kitchen, dining area, lanai, and main bedroom. Very comfortable for our stay and with basic amenities. The unit could use a bit of love to fix up some things (screen door is worn out/off track and difficult to open and close, some wood rot around some of the windows, worn out carpet, dials on the stove top/oven worn off so difficult to see/know the oven/stove temperatures when cooking). This is an end unit so also nice not to have neighbors and noise from one wall, though even with a shared wall it was still very quiet. This is our second time staying at Pali Ke Kua and it’s by far our favorite complex to stay at in Princeville—beautiful grounds, within walking distance to Hideaways Beach, the best complex to watch sunsets, and an easy drive to Hanalei or Kilauea. Kitchen was stocked with basics (extra nice that there is a blender and cold filtered water/ice from the fridge), though we did find ourselves wishing there were some other kitchen basics (like a lemon/lime squeezer, and the knives were all very dull and could use a good sharpening). There is a grill which was also a nice amenity, though for flame lovers, FYI the grill is electric. Well stocked/nice beach supplies on hand, like plenty of beach towels and a couple umbrellas, even some snorkeling gear/fins, which was highly appreciated. The unit overall felt fairly private, though if modesty is a concern, there is a direct line of sight into this unit’s main bedroom from the ground floor unit’s lanai in the neighboring building when the vent windows/blinds are open. The upstairs is also a lofted, open bedroom without a door to close off, so if staying with a party of 4, probably better for 2 in the group who don’t mind a little less privacy. We loved seeing the sunsets from the grassy shared lawn area near the cliff edge on the property, which was a short 2-minute walk away from the unit. Unit also has lots of fans and we kept the windows mostly open the whole time, which kept that perfect Kauai breeze flowing through, so we never felt hot or longed for a/c. There was also a very thoughtful welcome basket when we arrived which was a really nice touch.

The unit had only on table fan, another fan was brought but was broken, main TV is going out very dark picture, broken kitchen window & blinds, loud noisy gas-powered trimmers most of each day, unable to sit and enjoy the beautiful view or even take in a nap!! Pizza Restaurant almost same, broken windows, missing screens for bugs to get in, pool spa needs to be replastered and new jets !

My wife and I stayed here four nights during our honeymoon and absolutely loved our stay here. The condo is true to the pictures with a wonderful view of the ocean from the lanai. Short drive to Princeville Center and Hanalei for shopping and dining as well as walking distance to many beaches like Hideaway. The pizza pub in the community was a nice touch for when we weren't feeling like going out or cooking. Landscaping can be a bit noisy during the morning/early afternoon but always subsided by late afternoon. Overall we are very happy with our stay here and hope to return soon!

We loved this end unit with views ocean and to the Makai golf course. Unit 233 had a well appointed kitchen, great deck furniture and comfy bedrooms. A bonus is a paved path on site to Pali Ke Kua beach, with plenty of sea turtles and wildlife. Great pool, hot tub and Hideaways Pizza Pub on site.

We’ve stayed at Pali Ke Kua a couple times now and absolutely love the location and views. The condo was well appointed with anything you need for a beach day, king bed was super comfortable, kitchen was nice and we enjoyed sitting on the patio to watch the sunrise. It’s the perfect place for a getaway and the surroundings are stunning and lush. Plus it’s a short drive to our favorite beaches in Hanalei, Tunnels and Anini. And there’s a small private beach (Hideaways) a short walk away. We would stay here again!

Stayed here for 4 nights in February 2022. As others have said, the view is gorgeous. Sit at the kitchen table and take in the 180 degree sights of ocean, trees, grass and birds. Small birds visit the lanai regularly. Only reason for 4 stars is the unit is expensive. The kitchen is well equipped but was lacking a decent frying pan which the property manager brought to us. The sliding screen doors desperately need replacing. The only other minor complaint is the master bedroom and bathroom are quite dated but certainly work. I recommend nearby Black Pot Beach in Hanalai Bay area. Take the beach chairs, towels and cooler from the condo and enjoy!

The place is clean, nicely cared for, and well equipped. Quiet, lovely location. Noelani (host) was very responsive when we let her know it would be nice to have a lamp or two--she went out that day and bought 2 lamps and had them in place when we returned. She was very open to questions and eager to make things perfect for us.

Our condo had a great view and a nice balcony. Washer and dryer were great to have, as well as, the pool and hot tub. Great location!

This is a great location with fantastic views and gentle trade winds. But the condo needs maintenance. Bathroom doors stick, lanai screen door sticks and falls off track, patio chairs rusted and cushion ripped. Not the condition you expect from a top dollar property. A little maintenance and small investment can easily solve this.
