Parking is a bit of work....I would guess in peak season it could get tough. Be ready for some long walks up hill. But it is one of the best views I have seen in 40 plus years visiting the islands.

The room was in a fantastic location and the view was amazing. The room was luxurious with all amenities - except the TV in bedroom did not turn on and the bedroom slider wouldn't stay locked - so not very secure.

We will never stay anywhere else on Kauai! The Hanalei Bay resort is gorgeous, and we LOVED the amenities there. The condo was clean, functional, and we loved the Lanai. The views from the condo are amazing- mountains and the Bay. The Sunsets were some of the prettiest I have ever seen! Thanks so much!

This property has one of the best views in Kauai; it is absolutely spectacular. The condo was clean and well-maintained and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with essentials - we cooked most meals here. We loved the Princeville location and proximity to Hanalei and other beaches. We preferred this area to Poipu. We loved sitting on the lanai at sunrise and sunset. The resort is quiet and relaxing.

The place is exactly as it looks in pictures. It’s gorgeous. The pool area is INCREDIBLE, especially the hot tub. So much to do on the grounds. All the staff were helpful and kind. We were at the “bottom” of the property so it was a little hilly to get to the pool and car, but there are people who are super kind and will give you rides when requested. Dealing with the management company was super easy as well. Lots of roosters to alert you to the beautiful sunrises. Shopping is close, grocery store was great. It is a bit “out of the way” so for us, it did involve a lot of driving but it is totally worth it.

A truly lovely condo with gorgeous view, furnished with every single thing to provide a comfortable visit. Although view of the water is mostly obscured by trees, the mountain view is spectacular. We loved the property with its meandering paths, pretty pool, tennis courts, and pristine landscaping. Happy Talk has good food and nice setting above the pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and golf cart rides to and from the upper parking lot and lobby were easy to obtain. Would love to return someday.

I wish I would have been forewarned about the main restaurant (it had the best view) and pool café being closed for renovation. The swim up bar was never open. There is a third-party restaurant on the premises, however you cannot take their food or drinks to the pool or community areas. We were allowed to BYO food or drinks to the pool, but I wasn’t interested in meal prep and making during our vacation. The dish washer in our unit was out as well. (They did alert us via email) We had 6 people in our party and the hot water ran out after only 2 SHORT showers, forcing the remaining people in our party to wait to shower for about an hour. There were many reminders via text, notes, binders about what to do or not to do with regard to towels, food, trash, sunscreen, etc. We are very courteous travelers and it felt like we were staying in a house where we were walking on eggshells and afraid to touch or use anything. The walk from the parking lot was a trek, but not unbearable. The desk clerk was kind and gracious upon check in and out. The view was the best part. I would visit this resort again if the resort were fully operational.

We fell in love with our unit at HBR from the moment we stepped inside. The cool air greeted us and the amenities were top notch! The view from the lanai on the ground floor was awe inspiring and the golf cart service / rides around the property were welcomed to get around the property. We would definitely rent here again and cannot recommend highly enough. The North shore is stunning we are so happy we stayed at HBR - while the only downside we encountered was the long drive to the south shore for our excursions the beauty and serenity of this impeccable property made every mile worthwhile!

Most everything was great, but, a couple little things should have been addressed by cleaning or previous renters. The overhead fan clicked when it was on, the barrel chair squeaked. I called maintenance wd40, it was better.

This condo was amazing. All around. The view from the backyard was incredible, you can see the mountains, ocean, just so peaceful, even at night to look at the stars. Inside it was super clean and looked nicely remodeled with AC, tile floors, tasteful and comfy furniture and beds. Would definitely come stay in this unit again. We could hear some footsteps from the unit above us but they were quiet when we were sleeping so this was not an issue. This location is also excellent for families. It was close to the small pool, that also has bbq grills. The big pool is like a 5 min walk away, which is not too bad. Slightly longer to get to the parking lot but we really didn't mind the beautiful walk. Landscaping was also excellent in the entire resort. The beach path is very close to this unit and about a 10-15min walk to the beach, which is very calm and perfect for toddlers. Can't wait to come back!!

Overall, we had a great stay. The only issue was when a electical fuse blew within a few hours of us checking in, we had no way to fix it because the fuse box was in a locked utility closet outside the front door. And the front desk at the resort told me they had no access to the panel. I was able to get ahold of the vrbo emergency line, but the issue was not fixed until the next morning (at 4:30 am and we were all woken up thinking someone was trying to break into the condo, followed by the lights turning on).

The apartment is larger than it appears in the pictures, and has what must be the best views of the mountains / bay of the whole resort. Literally nobody there in front of you as you sit there drinking your morning coffee ;) Our family especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and other goodies in the closet. 10 out of 10!

The view was awesome out to the bay. There is a golf cart you can call to get to the parking lot but we only used it when we arrived and departed. We didn't mind the walk but there is a bit of a climb to get to go back and forth.

Place is great. Fabulous views each morning over the bay with waterfalls on mountain in distance. Loved the constant aviary visitors. Pool is lovely, kitchen well stocked, everything very clean. Amenities at resort not exhaustive, but good. Resort restaurant was always busy. Expect to wait with not super consistent hours, but really good food and drinks. Because of good views and good location, expect a pretty long walk to car, beach, pool from the unit itself.

The facilities were nice. It is disappointing there are not eating options every day on the campus. And Thant Happy Talk doesn't open until 3pm when it is open. We really don't like to cook on vacation. Was disappointed the Ukele Bar was closed. Our unit was nice, however it boasted streaming Tv but that did not work. We had to hook up our computer to stream movies. Not sure we would choose this resort again.

The Hanalei Bay Resort is gorgeous -- a beautiful pool area with a sandy bottom spa and manicured grounds, all in an immaculately maintained, lush tropical setting. The perfect getaway for a little R&R. The condo itself was well-appointed and beautifully furnished which made for easy vacation living. We used the kitchen most days and appreciated the selection of utensils and pots and pans (though we would have appreciated some wine glasses, which were noticably absent!). The views of the bay and surrounding area are sensational. The lanai is a great place to have your morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. Being on the ground floor is nice in that you feel that the grounds beyond are an extension of your unit, but be aware that the roosters and ne-ne are ever-present and tend to invade your space. It's true the distance to the parking lot is a bit of a hike but who cares when the grounds are so gorgeous. And the golf cart service is so easy to use and is readily available. The walk down to the beach is a trek too, a bit of a steep climb. We have been numerous times to this part of the island and noted with interest that due to the old St Regis being rennovated, the beach (which is shared with this resort) is no longer being raked or maintained as it once had been. But it is still gorgeous -- and walking distance, so no complaints here! There is a reef and it's pretty rocky so it's not easy wading or swimming, but the views are amazing.
Groceries are a short drive (or a very long walk) to Foodland just down the road on Kuhio Hwy. Definitely try the ice cream at Lappert's next door. The Kauai Pie is the best!
The only negatives: the overhead fan in the master bedroom still makes noise and there were also some minor housekeeping issues. But all in all I wouldn't hesitate to come back here!

We had a great time at Hanalei Bay Resort over Thanksgiving! The property is beautiful. Wish we had known about the far walk from the parking lot to the unit or down to the beach. But the golf cart shuttles throughout are very helpful. AC unit was not working properly, but management was attentive in coming to fix it.

I want to go back immediately. The view is amazing. I suspect based on location that this unit has one of the best views in HBR. It was clean and tasteful with a very nice kitchen. I really do hope to book it again! Another reviewer noted that the ceiling fan in the master bedroom is too loud to be usable and that room doesn’t have AC, but we slept with the (high quality, locking) screen door closed and two standing fans that were provided. Totally worth it. Also, stay here but bring some food for some meals since it’s a bit of a hike to the car if you planned to go out for every single meal.

We were pleasantly surprised checking into this property - we were not expecting the unit to be as a nice as it was! Great space to hang out in and explore the resort and surrounding area. The beach was nicely shaded a nice place to spend the day. The only real downside was that there was no AC in master bedroom, and combined with noisy ceiling fan, we ended up just sleeping with the patio door open (which was fine). Also resort could use more shade at the pool. But overall a great unit/resort-- would return for a future stay.

I’m highly recommending this property. I consider myself well traveled but it was our first time in Hawaii. There is nothing like the view of Hanalei Bay. I would not stay anywhere else when we return. The resort is impeccable. The amenities are top notch. Book here and you will be so pleased. It will exceed your expectations.

My family of 5 had the most wonderful time staying at the Hanalei Bay Resort. The pool/hot tub was perfect, property was impeccably clean and well cared for, beautiful property all around. We would stay again for sure! The only bummer was that the restaurant was still closed. Other than that, not a single complaint.

The resort and the area were beautiful; however, this unit had issues.
Our unit was not cleaned when we arrived- beds unmade, floor dirty, dirty towels laying around. It smelled funny, the TV remote didn't work (TV was an LG and the remote was a Samsung), the bedroom AC remote's batteries were dead, and the shade in one bedroom wouldn't open. The worst though was the AC dripped water the entire time. I had to call twice to get someone to come out the first time. The repairman cleaned the vents (which were disgusting) and tried to fix the leak, but it kept on dripping. We were having to dump water every few hours- there was water all down the wall and hanging picture, the sideboard, and the floor. We used all of the beach towels available to us to soak up water on the floor, and we also had to listen to the constant annoying dripping anytime we were in the living room area. I had to call and text several times to get any sort of response or answer, only to have them let me know that someone wouldn't be able to come out to fix it until the day we were leaving. Taking care of a faulty AC unit was not what we wanted to be doing on vacation, and there was no "sorry for the inconvenience or thank you for trying to take care of the picture, furniture, wall, etc." It was a frustrating experience to say the least. Maybe we were the unlucky ones in this unit, but it just seemed like things had been neglected and they didn't seem too concerned about the AC issue.

This is our second stay here and we love it so much. The grounds and views are stunning. The unit is well laid out and gorgeous. We were disappointed there was no restaurant open. Bar was only open Thursday -Sunday with long lines.

This property was beautiful. The view was picturesque. The unit was well equipped with all utensils and cookware. The washer and dryer saved us. Not to mention how fresh and clean the units were as well. Newly remodeled and a great space. Nothing else was needed but some good family time.

This was our first trip to Kauai and we were excited to relax and not have to drive or cook after surviving the pandemic as we live very busy lives in Los Angeles. However, we were surprised to learn after checking in that the on-site restaurant and pool bar were temporarily closed, which meant there was no food offered onsite and we needed to shop for groceries and/or go out for every meal (and nothing is within walking distance or easy to get to and every place is booked due to limited capacity). Again, we hadn’t planned on needing to leave the resort, so this was very disappointing and completely altered our plans.
The rental company and the resort failed to mention this even though we booked over 6 months in advance and we only found out because I called the front desk the day we checked in to ask about the restaurant.
I emailed Arrived Now to express my frustration and they essentially told me it was my responsibility to prove the restaurant was advertised as open and were very defensive. I explained that this was one of the amenities listed in the description for the resort in November 2020 when we made the reservation and was one of the major reasons we chose to stay there. I also explained that this negatively impacted our once a year vacation in a major way but they didn’t seem to care and blamed it on Covid. Our 2 bedroom condo was very pricey and this wasn’t the treatment we deserved. They provided us with a small refund (which I didn’t request), but I would have preferred knowing the restaurant situation beforehand instead of getting money back.
The resort is beautiful and very clean and the unit was upgraded and in great condition. It’s important to note there is no air conditioning in the master bedroom and the overhead fans in the bedrooms are very loud, but the unit is otherwise very nice and has a beautiful view of the mountains.
We would stay at Hanalei Bay again but not rent through Arrived Now.
