I can’t say how satisfied we all where / are . The location , the view , how the home was equipped. We cooked in a lot . We went to see the sunrise each morning . Near the Hyatt . The home owner was beyond helpful . The book he put together, the hints , for food and exploring . I can not thank he and his wife enough. We are going again . Since we were staying in Poipu for two weeks, we wanted to make sure the condo was spacious, had good views, close to the beach and convenient to other things we wanted to do and see. This condo had it all! The hosts were very proactive before, during and after our stay. The condo was very well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and even beach chairs and a cooler. We highly recommend it.

Great location, great complex! View off balcony is fantastic. However, property is dated and could use a refresh. Also, unfortunately, the property was not very clean when we arrived. I would say Jeff is very nice and did his best to correct this issue when we were in contact with him so I hope the cleaning service improves in the future.

Condo has a great spacious layout for two couples. Large comfortable lanai. Nice distant views of Ship Wreak Beach and the ocean. Very convenient access to swimming pool and barbeque grills. Parking was very easy. Good access to Poipu Beach and there are a number of restaurants within 5 miles. Good kitchen supplies. Owners also supplied 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas and 2 boogie boards - A real plus.
We were there in August and stayed in the "back" bedroom. It had a ceiling fan and a tower fan that did their best to keep the heat moving out of the louvered windows, but it was definitely very warm and humid sleeping. The "front" bedroom had better airflow and a nicer bed and view.
The owners were very communicative and checked in by text with us several times.

If you enjoy sleeping while listening to the ocean, this is a great place! Perfect for families who need a bit more elbow room, wonderful views and easy hikes to explore to coast. Also close to scenic beaches and great dining. Loved our stay here.

This was a wonderful, relaxing, well-equipped place to stay in a perfect location. The lanai has a wonderful view 24/7 and is especially nice for watching the sun rise and catching glimpses of cliff-jumpers in Shipwreck Bay. We also particularly enjoyed using the common-area grills to prepare delicious meals without needing to go out to dine.

We enjoyed the unit and the view. The pool is super close to the unit which we appreciated. We never made it to the hot tub because it was a ten minute walk away. There was no air conditioning, which we knew when we selected the unit, but I was surprised to not find any extra fans, which would definitely be more of an issue during warmer months.
A heads up regarding the cleaning expectations…
I received the contract late, just a few days before our arrival, and I was very concerned about how many required cleaning steps there were, especially when we were paying for professional cleaning, and there was no way to cancel without losing all of my money.
I received several reminders about the cleaning expectations (texts and emails) but most concerning was the way in which they were included in the “damages” portion of the contract, which I found to be purposefully intimidating and a clear overuse of what “damages” should include. It was written in a way to suggest that if I didn’t wash the beach towels the night before our departure, and run the dishwasher before we left, and bring out the trash, and start another load of laundry before I left, and take sheets off the bed, and also not use too many sheets, etc., I could be charged “damages”.
It seems to me that the cleaning fees and five hours (checkout at 10am, next check in at 3pm) should be enough money and time to have professional cleaners do the basic cleaning of the unit plus the items I had to do.
Perhaps this is standard practice but I will do my best to never again select lodging with these kinds of over the top expectations. I will also ask to see the contract before paying a down payment for a condo unit.

We had an amazing experience staying here. We all felt at home. Jeff (host) was great with communication and making sure my family and I were taken care of on the beginning of our Thanksgiving trip. This place was perfect for my husband and I and our two adult boys, 18, and 20. They had their own space and bathrooms and we had ours which was ideal. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the beautiful sunrises each morning. You could walk right down to the beach and watch the sunrise with breakfast. Or hike up the trail and watch it from the top of Shipwreck. One morning I saw a bunch of turtles just riding the waves. It was nicely stocked, and had beach towels and gear and the washer and dryer definitely got used. We thoroughly had the trip of a lifetime here. The location was perfect and had many restaurants nearby for food, although we ate in a lot too. Costco was not too far away which was very convenient. There are so many little markets and we got our fill on pineapple and fresh fruit and veggies from the island. Thank you Jeff for sharing your beautiful condo with us. I knew if I needed anything you would be available at anytime. You made us feel right at home.

We had the best time visiting Kauai and are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay at Jeff and Pamela's vacation home. Jeff and Pamela are so kind and truly went above and beyond in helping us with any question we had. I can't think of anything new to add that hasn't been mentioned in other reviews, other than to say that the walk along the greenbelt is beautiful, and morning coffee and pastry at the Hyatt truly is the best way to start the day. This was our first visit to Kauai, but hopefully, not our last. Thank you Jeff and Pamela, for sharing your lovely home with us.

It's never easy to wake up at the crack of dawn but, quite literally, waking up in the master bedroom facing the sunrise as it peaked over the ocean made waking up early something to look forward to.
Jeff and Pamela were perfect hosts! Helping us to figure out the code to get in on the first day, checking in (with a text) to make sure we had everything and were doing well, and helping us with late check out (we had to take a red eye home!)
The condo is situated in a perfect location on the property and in the town. It is fully stocked, clean, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable (that is a rare find in a rental!)
Poi Pu is a beautiful place and there are so many options for beaches, food, and sightseeing.
We would highly recommend staying at this condo and will do so again next time we travel to Kauai!

This condo was well stocked with things needed to enjoy your stay. We took the beach chairs to nearby Poipu Beach to watch the sea turtles come onto the beach at sunset. We walked to the Grand Hyatt for delicious blueberry scones. We took a tour of Nepali coast by catamaran from nearby Eleelee and saw porpoises. Farther west, we visited the Waimea Canyon, drove all the way to the top and watched the cloud part to reveal a valley between mountains that went all the way down to the ocean. This took my breath away.
When we returned to the condo, we enjoyed the fans in every room and went to the swimming pool for a refreshing dip.
We explored the Eastern and Northern part of the island, and found a calm portion of Tunnels Beach for swimming.
Highly recommend this condo; the owners communicated well with us.

This condo was absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I stayed with his parents and all of us enjoyed our stay. Very clean, well appointed and spacious. We had four other family members join us for dinner one evening and we all enjoyed the large deck. Hearing the sound of the ocean all night was so peaceful and relaxing - it was a little slice of heaven.

We enjoyed our time so much while in Poipu. Jeff was an amazing host to work with and gave detailed instructions on the check in process and everything to find at the property.
They have a VERY detailed book in the condo with everything from good restaurants, perfect sunsets, and where to go for just about anything. We loved exploring the south side of the island. They have many amenities at the place including towels, chairs, and even coolers to borrow.
By far the best VRBO host I have ever worked with. We will definitely return when we can make it back to Kauai.

This area of Poipu is one of our favorites to stay because of the walking paths and trails around Shipwreck Beach and to The Hyatt next door. Jeff and Pamela’s place was the icing on our cake this time. Beach close, well stocked and the layout of the condo makes it feel quite comfortable, even with two older teenage boys. And, Jeff and Pamela’s level of communication is superb. From checking in, to supplying information, to immediately jumping on a few requests, they are on it - without being intrusive at all. You can see some of the ocean, hear the waves, and the view from the outdoor lanai is relaxing! We will contact them again when we are in town next. Mahalo!

The condo was conveniently located to get everywhere we needed to go on the island. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The lanai provided great views of the morning sunrise. I especially enjoyed all of the beach gear. Everything we well thought out from the beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear to the bags and coolers. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the best rental experiences we’ve had yet! This property is set in such an ideal location- easy to walk to multiple beaches, fully equipped with everything for an awesome week in the sun! My favorite part of staying here has been opening up the doors and being able to hear the waves crash on the point. Also all the advice from the homeowner was so helpful to make our dream Hawaiian vacation come true. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future and will definitely recommend this condo to friends and family for their Kauai adventures too!

First off, Jeff and Pam were amazing hosts. Due to COVID we had to reschedule several times and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable vacation. The first thing that struck us was how spacious the condo is, plenty of room! Everything was spotless, beds are soft and comfortable and made for excellent nights of sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking breakfast and dinner. The best part of the condo is definitely the huge balcony! Perfect views of sunrise and the waves at Shipwreck. Large sliding doors are perfect for the tropical breeze. No AC needed at all. The closet is stocked with all we needed for days at the beach. Chairs, snorkel gear, umbrella, beach bags etc… A huge bonus. Thank you! The grounds of Poipu Sands are immaculate and the pool is a great place to spend the afternoon. All the staff working to keep the grounds nice were so friendly and welcoming. Everyone greeted us with a smile. The Grand Hyatt is just down the path, I recommend Tidepools for a memorable meal. Thanks again for a perfect stay at your wonderful Kauai home. 5+++ Stars!

Condo was exactly as advertised. Great location, beautiful view along with ocean sounds, very well-maintained development, excellent pool, easy parking/in and out of condo, well equipped kitchen, huge balcony/lanai with nice furniture, beach chairs/ towels/snorkel gear were a bonus. The condo and its contents provide pretty much everything you need for a nice stay on Kauai.

Our experience Poipu Sands was a very good one in spite of Covid restrictions and limitations. The property owner did an outstanding job communicating with us before and during our stay. The condo itself is lovely nicely positioned overlooking the grounds and ocean and shipwreck rock.If we are ever able to return to Kuaui We will definitely pick this condo again. Our family of four had the most enjoyable stay at this property for 10 days over Christmas break 2018! The highlights for us included the two bedroom "suites", each bedroom with its own bathroom/shower; the large lanai overlooking the pool gardens and Shipwreck beach; the fully stocked kitchen - with everything you could possibly need; and the spacious dining/living space. The pool area and barbecue spaces are very well maintained/very clean. The proximity of Poipu Sands to some of our favourite sites to visit (Grand Hyatt, Poipu Beach, fresh fruit stand), makes this a perfect holiday stay for our family. As a frequent visitor to the island and having stayed in many different properties, I can easily say that this was one of the best!! The location, the view, and the owners helpfulness were just outstanding. The pictures just don't it justice. I would like to add that if you are a first time visitor to Kauai then you will find this location perfect. It is a very short walk to the beautiful Grand Hyatt right next door and a very short distance to all of the great beaches. We look forward to staying here again!!

We're veteran users of VRBO properties in the states and around the world, and this is one of the nicest we've ever had the pleasure to rent.
From the description, we expected a great ocean view. It was there.
They advertised easy access to the beach and an above average complex with a new pool. It was all there.
We value a cared for property with beach gear, a well stocked kitchen, good beds, updated furniture, and very clean. It was all that.
What we didn't expect was how well the owners took care of us during our stay. They were in constant contact to ensure all went well. They had a wealth of info and recommendations that provided places to go and things to do that saved us both time and money, and made our stay even more enjoyable. They made the leasing experience so pleasant and easy. Thank you Jeff and Pamela. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

My husband and two teenage boys just returned from staying at Jeff and Pamela's rental at Poipu Sands. What a great condo and location! We loved hearing the surf crashing, watching the beautiful sunrise from the balcony, and having the pool so close to us. We appreciated how well-stocked the kitchen was, as well as being able to grab beach chairs, a cooler and snorkeling gear from the closet. Easy access to quick morning walks. Easy drive to town. We felt well taken care of. Jeff checked in throughout our stay making us feel welcome and well cared for. We would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Kauai!

Our family of four (2 adults and an 11 and 16 year old) thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this unit. Our proximity to Shipwreck Beach and its waves was the highlight of our stay for our sons. The proximity to the pool and view each day, all day, was relaxing. The central location to restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc, also made this trip convenient. The unit itself was well maintained. Each time we were in need of something, we found it already there. (Boogie boards, inflatables for the pool, foil, laundry soap, etc). It was an exceptionally quiet unit as well. We've been to Poipu several times and we're always looking to stay at Poipu Sands due to the location, facilities and atmosphere there. We've stayed in another condo there but this one is our favorite. Being on the 2nd floor allows you to keep the slider open in the master bedroom letting the cooling breeze and ocean sounds comfort you all evening. Waking up to the view of Shipwreck beach and sitting on the large lanai with your morning coffee is the perfect way to start the day. The condo itself is tastefully decorated and stocked with everything you'll need. It's very comfortable and located perfectly. The pool and grill are just a very short walk away, there are several beaches within walking distance and the grounds around the complex are always immaculate. Jeff and Pamela were awesome to work with and communicated everything both prior, during and after our stay. I can't imagine making a better choice of a place to stay while visiting this area. We'll definitely be back!
