My husband and I had a perfect stay here! Spacious 1BR/ 1 1/2 Bath with renovated kitchen and master bathroom w/ great shower. Lanai was also good size. The condo is stocked and supplied with almost everything you need. The beach chairs and umbrella are in good condition and very useful! The complex is well maintained, very safe, and conveniently located. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Maria!

Stayed here after 12 days in Kona. Very different vibe, with Waikoloa Beach being much quieter and laidback ( at least partially due to lack of the cruise ship crowd). Lots of nearby golf, restaurants, beaches, in addition to a lovely pool/hot tub in complex. Condo is clean, comfortable, and modern. Well decorated & supplied with lots of little kitchen extras and beach supplies.
Would have loved to stay again next year, but unfortunately already rented.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and Maria’s condo was a perfect place to stay! It had everything we needed including beach chairs and an umbrella. The king sized bed was so comfortable and we loved sitting on the comfy lanai chairs in the morning and evening. Maria’s communication with us was excellent before and during our stay and we’re looking forward to staying here on our next visit!

My husband & I spent 8 days at Maria's condo and would definitely stay there again! It was SO comfortable - we had everything we needed except fresh food! Maria's communications were exceptional! After a bumpy start to our vacation, we were in paradise. This is our second time staying with Maria. Her place has all the comforts of home and then some. Great rental location for peace and quit. The Lani in the AM watching the sun come up is priceless. Well outfitted with just about everything you need. Just bring some clothes and food and you are set. Would definitely stay again. Truly appreciate the support for veterans!

My friend and I planned a last minute trip to Waikoloa Beach Resort for an upcoming renovation and found that Maria's unit was in the same complex. She was absolutely wonderful to deal with from start to finish. In the morning and at the end of a busy day it was fabulous to be able to sit outside on the lanai in her incredibly comfortable chairs and watch the sun rise and set. Everything we could possibly need for our week's stay was at our fingertips. The shower with its multiple heads and jets - we both agreed was the best we have ever used! Both the master bed and the murphy bed are extremely comfortable. Our only regret was having to come home!

The experience was great. There were many small amenities that made it special. There are a few really good snorkeling places nearby. The lanai was really nice as well as the interior furnishings. Overall the unit and surrounding area were very enjoyable

This is a nice and large condo. We liked the lanai the most. We didn’t spend much time inside because there is so much to do on the island but it was great sleeping in that large bed after day full of activities. Nice big shower is also a plus!

Stayed here for ~7 weeks. Very comfortable beds, nicely remodelled bathrooms. Nice large lanai with comfortable reclining chairs. Well equipped kitchen. Just minutes to shops or the ocean. Only real negative was the internet speed which hopefully will be improved.

We had a wonderful week in Kona at Maria’s condo. Everything was exactly as described. The condo is like home; has all amenities, clean and convenient to the hotel, beaches. The bathroom/shower is really nice. There are beach chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrellas and wake boards. Although this is the oldest condo complex in Waikoloa, there is tremendous pride among the owners. Parking is ample. Communication with Maria was terrific. I left an important item and Maria had the cleaners locate and ship it back to me!

Maria's Touch is a wonderful condo. The condo itself is nicely updated and wonderfully apportioned with everything that we needed. The grounds at the Shores are great. We loved staying at Maria's beautiful condo in Waikoloa. The condo was spacious, immaculate, beautifully decorated, and simply very comfortable. Two previous times we visited the Big Island, we stayed at Hilton at Waikoloa Village. However, we recently discovered VRBO and chose Maria's Touch to stay. We were very happy with our decision. The condo is located two blocks from the Hilton Waikoloa and Marriotts' Waikoloa, 0.5 miles from the King's Shops and Queen's Markets, and within easy driving distance from the Hapuna Beach, Waimea and Kailua-Kona. We toured all over the island and experienced several climates but it was always great to return to the sunny Waikoloa and a comfy condo to relax and recharge for the next day. Maria was a great host and extended our departure to a later time when I informed her of our later than expected flight. The condo has 1.5 bathrooms and a great shower. We loved sitting on the balcony drinking coffee in the mornings and the quietness of the neighborhood. We We highly recommend this condo and would love to stay here on our next visit.

We had an amazing stay at this condo! Maria was so helpful and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the trip. There is nothing this condo doesn’t have—everything is well stocked and includes an boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, reusable food containers, hair dryer, iron, etc. The location is great and close to all the good sandy beaches. The property is quite and relaxing. Restaurants and shops nearby and it’s a great area for morning walks. Highly recommend—we did not walk to leave! Thank you Maria!

The property location was ideal for our two week golf vacation. However, having experienced stays in two other units in that area on previous occassions we were somewhat disappointed by the amount of carpeting which over the years becomes tired. The rug on top of the carpet in the living room was a tripping hazard. The lack of a tv in the bedroom, the presence of stuff stored under the bed and on the lanai was an annoyance. We even had to go to Costco to purchase two new pillows as the bedding was substandard. The shower head requires replacing as it has detiorated over the years. The welcoming package was a nice touch. The most comfortable place to sit was on the lanai whereas the living room seating was uncomfortable. The Spectrum television box requires updating. The elevator worked from the ground floor up but when we required to use it to go down we had to use the staircase which was difficult with our luggage.

Loved the location for exploring most areas of the island, though a little far from Volcanoes Park, and not quite walking distance to the beach if you're carrying gear. But easy drive to many great beaches, to Mauna Kea and spots North and East. The condo is fully stocked, felt like home with all the things available, and all the necessary beach gear. Great place for a small family! Maria is a great host.

My teenage son and I had a lovely stay at Maria and Allen’s home on our back to school getaway to Hawaii. The location is great and Maria’s communication was quick and super helpful. They have everything you could need, including beach chairs and towels and snorkeling equipment, and the unit is quiet with easy parking. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners on the terrace before and after days at the beach and on excursions - it was like staying at a friend’s home. Thank you for making our time in Hawaii so nice—we’d definitely stay again!

Having stayed at many short-term rentals I had prepared in my mind what I thought was excellent as far as the actual place you walk into (vs. the listing description).
I just want to attest that Maria and Allen's place created a new high standard for me to rate all other future experiences.
You will not be left without the essential items you need and some items you didn't think you needed!
There was no need to pick up many of the supply items to stock the kitchen or use for outdoor recreation. I recommend showing up and assessing before you make unneeded purchases. Like me, I know you will thank Maria and Allen for being so thoughtful to provide supplies. But, if you do bring items like we did, there's lots of cabinet and counter space to donate those things for future guests.
All amenities were great with the exception of no Internet during our stay due to a outside connection issue. Maria immediately called the Internet service provider after I reported this problem to her and called with me an update. Unfortunately, I was there for the holiday weekend so it was not likely a technician would show up. We made do without WiFi but good news is Maria confirmed the connection was fixed the day we left so future guests will be able to use it.
Also, the elevator was out of service. Maria spoke to the building maintenance staff who explained the delay in certifying the elevator for use and assured her it would be back in operation by the end of this month. The stairs are right next to the Maria's front door.
No other issues with any of the appliances, furniture, parking, pool/hot tub, etc. You will not regret staying here!
I will definitely return to this condo again. I never felt more at home while being away from home!

We enjoyed our stay at The Shores. Everything was clean and well kept. It was convenient to have the extra bathroom and spacious lanai too.
We were able to make our own breakfast and coffee in the morning before setting out which saved us a lot of time. The proximity of Maria’s place to A-Bay was great too. We were able to walk down and watch the sunset there in about 15 minutes walk from our place. It was also just a 20 minute drive from some of the most gorgeous beaches for swimming, Hapuna and Kanau’ua.
The shower was fabulous. And the bed was comfortable too. If we come back to the Big Island, we hope to stay here again. Thanks Maria!

My wife and I were thrilled to be able to book this wonderful condo for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was exactly as advertised upon arrival. We spent 13 glorious days in Maria's condo and were sad to leave. Upon arrival, Maria took good care of us, always answering any questions we had. The condo is very quiet, and offers everything you'd want to relax. This was our second trip to The Big Island, and we were very familiar with the Waikoloa area as we stayed further North near Mauna Kea during our first trip. The shower certainly didn't disappoint and it was a great way to wash away the sand and sunscreen after long days on Mauna Kea or Hapuna beaches (must see these, some of the best in the world!!). We would often go down to the pool area and have the entire pool and hot tub to ourselves during the day. The condo has everything you need to be self sufficient, but we went out for most of our meals choosing to dine on local fares. Perhaps our favorite part of Maria's condo is the wrap around lanai. Those two reclining chairs outside are so comfortable. We spent countless hours drinking coffee, reading books and maybe a nap or two!! Thanks Maria for an exceptional holiday in your fine condo.

Spent a week for impt milestones-our 30th wedding anniv & hubbys 60th- and this is definitely our most memorable & enjoyable vacay. Everything was communicated early on. Maria is awesome, very responsive, check-in to checkout went without a hitch. Very clean, quiet location, wifi, high end & quality appts like the Henckels knives, new stainless kitchen appliances, huge H20 heater, AC, indoor laundry w/ detergent provided, big wrap around airy patio, BBQ, & my fave, the state of the art bath shower & touch on/off kitchen faucet.
The Shores' landscaping is immaculate. Nobody uses The Shores’ exclusive pool & hot tub jet spa but us:-). Maria has her exclusive toiletries & love the soap especially. Her well stocked kitchen of spices & condiments..,, everything you could ever think you might need. It's truly an extension of the comforts of your own home, or a getaway from a busy home if you need it. Plenty of (free) car parking in shade of a big tree in front of the unit. You can see your car from the dining area.
Grocery was at FOODLAND abt 6 miles North on Hwy19 in Mauna Lai, and we did a COSTCO-run abt 6mi south towards Kona airport. If you know you need a Costco run,do it right after arrival as it is between airport & condo. For last minute needs, the walkable convenience mini market with hot food in Queens Marketplace or Kings Shops came handy. There's an inconspicuous Shell gas station tucked on the far right side of the Kings Shops mall.
Marriott & Hilton Waikoloa & 2 golf courses are all walking distance. We tried their restaurants on the times we didn't want to cook. Unfortunately, the A'Bay Beach at Marriott's backyard is closed for maintenance & parking renovation, but HAPUNA BEACH abt 3 miles north on the main Hway19 is another secret hideaway. Fine white sand & hardly anyone there.
A full day adventure to the busy Kona abt 14mi south is all we needed for a nice stroll on the historic 1st church in Hawaii, Gov Palace & the Best Poke called "Da Poke Shack". But at day's end, we couldn't wait to get back to the peace, quiet & comforts of Maria's Touch... A sweet home away from home.
It's also a short drive to KOHALA ZIPLINE (also 5star) in Hawi with the FARMERS MKT right across every Sat 9a-2p, great time to see local food & produce. We have nothing but praise for this quiet, comfortable condo and its conscientious owners. The unit is thoughtfully furnished and we saved money because we were more inclined to have our coffee and coconut turnovers on the big, shady lanai rather than go out for breakfast. After our first night seemed a little warm, we e-mailed the owner the following morning to let her know that the A/C wasn't working well. By mid-afternoon that same day, a repairman had come and the problem was fixed. The unit had every convenience we needed, and the complex was quiet and well-maintained. The landscaping is lush and colorful, the pool area was clean and inviting, and the exercise facility had plenty of new equipment. A wonderful beach can be reached either by a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk. We did both, and the walk was very easy and pleasant. In addition, the 20% discount was a nice benefit for two veterans!

My husband and I had a delightful and relaxing stay at this lovely condo. It is very comfortable, beautifully furnished with a large, covered lanai. We have stayed at many hotels and condos in Hawaii, and this one tops them all. The property has a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a workout facility. My favorite thing to do was to sit on the lanai in a comfortable recliner and read my book. It is a quiet and serene environment. There are two shopping centers within a three to four minute ride by car with a variety of restaurants, shops and a grocery store.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Maria and Allen's gorgeous condo in The Shores at Waikoloa Beach Resort. The condo was exactly as depicted.... comfortable and beautifully decorated! We especially enjoyed the shower with six heads after spending the day at the gorgeous beaches in the area! Maria was such a pleasure to work with in booking the condo and when we had any questions, she responded immediately. We also really appreciated the 20% discount they offered for veterans, since my husband is a vet. We spent part of our winter at Maria's and every day was wonderful. Maria is delightful to work with and most helpful any time there is a question or problem. The condo was exactly as described in the photos, with everything we needed or wanted to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Maria has done an excellent job of equipping her condo with just the right things to make you feel at home. The lanai is large and perfect for relaxing, reading, and enjoying your meals, if you wish, outdoors. We loved the location, five minutes from the ocean, your choice of a great sand beach or lava rock beaches, golf, two lovely shopping centers, and many restaurants. We are walkers and hikers and we could find many directions to go from our condo to enjoy lovely walks along the ocean, or on sidewalks, with lots of options. From Maria's at The Shores, it is easy to travel to the many diverse areas of the island to explore everywhere. We felt like we were in the perfect place and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Our Christmas vacation stay at Maria's was just what we needed! The condo is quite spacious, equipped with a lot of extras, and in a very quiet location. The large wrap-around deck what exactly what we needed for drying our dive gear and relaxing after a busy day. The location is within walking distance of A'Bay Beach, a beautiful white sand beach with great swimming, snorkeling and water sports. Waikoloa Shores is located north of Kona and is a very relaxed community, yet from there it's a 30 minute drive to the shopping centers, diving and fishing boats, and all the tourist activities one can desire on the Big Island. Maria was very easy to work with, very prompt in getting back to us when we had questions, and made checking into her condo a breeze! Thanks so much, Maria!

We had a great time during our week at this one bedroom unit in Waikoloa beach resort. Comfortable dining tables inside and on the lanai seat 4. There are recliners both inside and on the lanai for relaxing after a busy day, and a shower with 6 faucets where you help each other clean up for dinner. The resort has a grocery with local produce, fish and meats, and a variety of restaurants. The huge Hilton is a short walk, with a full spa and a lagoon where you can arrange to swim with dolphins. Maria is very easy to work with. Kohala divers is a 25 minute drive for great scuba trips. Waikoloa beach has two golf courses, and Mauna Lani (original site of the Skins games) and Mauna Kea are just up the road.
