Amazing views from corner unit that was floor to ceiling windows. We were 2 couples so we loved that each room had king beds with their own bathrooms. Great location within walking distance to everything in Waikiki. Lobby was beautiful. Cheaper than staying at comparable hotel.

My family and I had a wonderful stay on Waikiki beach. The view was spectacular of the ocean, pier, and city. The unit is on the corner of the building which was quiet and peaceful. The two king beds were great for our tall family. While laundry was not in unit, it was conveniently located down the hall and worked with a credit card. The kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking equipment you might need. We were able to pick up groceries at a Walmart that was 7 minutes away. In unit, there were beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, toys, books, and puzzles for all your entertainment needs. We took a 5 min walk to the beach everyday. Two very nice malls were a 15 minute walk in either direction of the unit. Also, there are so many great restaurants in the area. And the owner was responsive to questions. Thanks for a great stay!

Room was exactly as listed. Very nice. All was great, except very, very busy because right in the middle of Honolulu. There are a lot of homeless people and that adds uneasiness when walking around the area. Feels a bit unsafe, but we had no issues ourselves.

The views from this unit are even more spectacular than the pictures. Unit is at the end of the corridor… very quiet.. large balconies.. very spacious for our party of 4! The property is in the Ilikai Hotel. It is close to Alamoana Beach, which is a wonderful beach, ocean is calm, sunsets are spectacular! among the best beaches I have been to. It is also near Magic Island lagoon, which was also spectacular. Unit owner provided swim noodles and other beach gear which was much appreciated!
Alamoana shopping mall is nearby and I think we ate at the Foodland store all four days.
Parking at hotel( which Earnest told me) is expensive. Had a bad experience at the public parking garage (Ilikai marina parking managed by Elite parking). So take your chances.

23rd floor end unit. We got this unit for the view and it did not disappoint! Just spectacular! Easy communication with the owner, easy check-in and check-out. There is an elevator in the front of the hotel that you can use for luggage instead of the stairs when checking in and out. We parked our car in the lot in back of the hotel for an $1 an hour. We used the car everyday so it worked perfectly and never had to worry about reloading due to the 24 hour maximum per payment. Just enter your plate number, the number of hours you want, pay, and you are good to go. Very reasonable. Always found a spot. Friendly people working at the hotel. Wow are we gonna miss that view!

This condo was just as advertised. It was perfect for our family of 7, with 2 little ones (1yr & 3yr). Place was clean and well taken care of. Ilikai property itself is nice with great food options just downstairs- cinnamon’s, poke shop, and Dave’s ice cream. There is also a lagoon very close by which is great for kids. The best part of the condo was the view. Full ocean view where we watched the sunset almost every night. Would definitely stay again!

The view is fantastic! Large windows surround the entire condo to give views of the marina, beach, and Waikiki. We could see the Friday night fireworks over the Hilton and the sunset every single night over the water. The layout was perfect for our family - two large bedrooms with a bathroom attached to each one. The kitchen was well-stocked and the living room was comfortable. Thank you to the owners for being so accommodating! We had a great time.

This property had it all!!! A great location, incredible accommodations and breathtaking views. Close to so many activities and restaurants. Enjoyed the lagoon pool, as well as watching the locals fish off the nearby rock wall. So much to do and see. Property owners also provided lots of beach/ocean accessories that enhanced the stay. A great two bedroom condo in the heart of it all in Honolulu. It is located minutes from everything downtown. The room was immaculately clean. It was well stocked with towels and toiletries. The only minor complaint was the it was super hot in the room at check in because the blinds were open the AC was off, so it took a bit to cool it down. The hotel it is located in is super fun with lots of cool shops and dining options.

bed was very comfortable, but the shower drainage was an issue.l and the enamel has came off and is very slick. You must be very careful stepping in.
Bedroom two bed was more firm and short needed more pressure.
We found paper bowls behind nightstand from someone else. So this is where I gave it 4 stars.
The ceiling fan in living room makes noises.
But it was a great location for us in the short few days we were there.

First trip to Hawaii from NZ so we had many questions,and communication with Ernest was great & prompt, much appreciated as this can be rare with holiday homes. This listing I felt didn't provide a huge amount of detail online, but was accurate with what is listed. It has two separate master bedrooms, located either side of the lounge area. Each has a King sized bed and an ensuite. The slightly larger room has a chest of drawers and a large ensuite, this room has a balcony and a view of the city. The smaller master bedroom/ensuite, has a wardrobe, but no chest of drawers, but the advantage is that the balcony from this room offers the most incredible view of the marina/ocean. Our teens took the larger room, as we preferred waking up to the awesome view! Apartment had mostly all we needed, including a full kitchen, and complimentary beach gear. Laundry down the hall on the same level, paid with your credit card. Apartment is centrally located, Hilton lagoon/beach a short walk down the Ilikai ramp, Ala Moana Centre a 15 min walk one way, Royal Hawaiian Centre a short uber drive the other. Convenience store in the lobby is well stocked for any food/drinks/snacks you might need, slightly pricier than the supermarket but that is expected. The Ilikai is an older property like many in Hawaii, and the apartment is tidy, but some things a little tired, but overall it was just perfect for a great family holiday and we would absolutely book again. Great location, was nice to have a full kitchen. The beach toys and accessories were amazing and saved us a lot of money. The hotel itself had a lot of shops and was easy to stay on property if you chose. The pools were great for kids.
The con is that although the property is renovated, it is not as well cared for as represented in the photos. The unit could use an update including new carpet and paint. The Reno is at least 10 years old - which is new considering the property is 50+ years old.

This property was just as shown on VRBO website. The kitchen/refrigerator & all utensils, etc were clean. Great location and the views were fabulous. The ocean sunset was entertainment from the balcony every evening. Watching the surfers just out from the marina during breakfast in the morning was great. I was worried about noise from the marina but it was never a problem and we even got to enjoy the evening music from the outside lobby down below on the one evening we ate dinner in the room. I only needed to message owners a couple of times but I got prompt and accurate answers to my questions. No other contact was needed as everything was smooth. Having the keypad for secure entry was awesome as we didn't have to keep track of a key. The front desk gave us refills on anything we needed during our stay without any trouble. The beach chairs, boogie boards and pool noodle were in good condition and much appreciated. The amenities on the property were wonderful from the rooftop restaurant to Cinnamons to the pool, & surf shop & market. Also having the car rental available for pick up and drop off on site was very convenient. I would definitely stay again, only longer next time.

We had a great stay at this property. It is all about the view! The 180-degree view can't be beat from the lanais and windows, especially great for nightly sunset viewing. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was particularly nice to have 2 separate bedrooms/bathrooms with 2 couples. Ernest was a great host - he accommodated our check in/check out changes with no problem. Highly recommended!

My family of 6 had a great stay here. Ernest and Laura were such great hosts! They answered any questions I had before and during our stay. The views were stunning! We sat on the balcony early mornings with our coffee listening to the sounds of the ocean! Even though there was no housekeeping, the hotel staff provided us with extra towels, sheets, and pillows. The valet service was fast and they were very friendly. I would definitely book with Ernest and Laura again when we come back!

There was a funky smell in the first bedroom when we arrived. Living room furniture was somewhat grubby and seen better days. Both bathroom sinks were slow to drain. Chocolates and cookies were a nice touch and overall we enjoyed our stay here.

The place was nice, we get to check in early on our trip so the kids can rest before going out to the beach. The owner left some candy treat when we got in as an arrival present. Each room have it own AC so temperature control is easy. Unit come with beach towels, chairs, buggy boards and some kids toys. Since this is a privately own room so daily house keeping is not available and there is no phone to call front desk. The washing machine/Dryer on take CC or download the App to pay. We found that out after a couple loads. The detergent vending machine takes coins so get some from the front desk changing machine. There is no ice machine on the property even the sign listed, go to the front desk with the unit provided cooler and they will get you ice. Ask for extra town and toilet rolls if you have a large group. Elevator takes times to go up/down due to traffic. Valet parking with daily fee is not bad but still takes time when busy. The near by lagoon next to the Hilton is man made so the water is not clear and somewhat dirty. I would recommend to go to the other lagoon by the park where it connect directly to the ocean plus there is a lifeguard there if anything would to happen. The hotel pool is ok with 8ft deep, no jumping or diving but offer free towels once you checked in. Beside the smart door lock battery went but we noticed before leaving so we got new ones and replace it. We would have an issue getting back in. I highly recommend the owner to change the battery monthly or bi-weekly to prevent guests being lock out of the room. Overall the unit is definitely serve our needs and would come back again.

The condo is exactly as pictured, with fantastic views. The layout was perfect, with the two king size bedrooms on opposite sides of the living area and separate balconies with beautiful views. Each bedroom and the living area has its own air conditioning. The location is wonderful, with restaurants and shops within walking distance and Waikiki Beach and attractions a quick drive away. The host thoughtfully has beach chairs, cooler, water toys, etc., which were great for our beach trips. I absolutely recommend this condo. We stayed for ten days and the front desk was great when we needed new towels. There is no room cleaning while you are there, but they will replace towels, toilet paper and toiletries upon request. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this condo in the Ilikai Hotel and Luxury Suites building. First of all, the location can’t be beat. The beach and lagoon are close by. The Ala Moana mall is also close. The Hilton Hawaiian hotel is next door. The hotel itself has a lovely courtyard and several places to get food and coffee. The view from the condo was stunning. Having an infant who needed to nap often, we enjoyed having the nice view during the times we stayed in. We had a nice kitchen in which to cook and two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen itself lacked some basics and there were no smaller plates or cups for our toddler but otherwise sufficed. We had an issue with one of the sliding doors not closing all the way, letting loud traffic sounds in, but Ernest, the owner, was immediately responsive and had maintenance come and fix the issue. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay, with an owner who was very responsive to all our questions and requests.

The condo is lovely, at the end of hall so spectacular sunset views and away from typical hotel noise. I'd worried a little about the lanai chairs and was so happy to see more comfortable ones now on lanai off dining room. Well-equipped with kitchen, beach and games stuff - only thing missing was a cutting board, but we were able to make light meals easily. We didn't make use of the hotel much (laundry room, pools, restaurants) because we spent most of our time with family from Honolulu, so I can't report on them, but the check-in/out was extremely easy, and the afternoon team at the outside bar were great. We did have random problems but didn't tell host since they were minor - for some reason the TV-source in living room stopped working, so we just watched in master bedroom. My apologies to host tho, since I'm realizing the next guests may have also had issue. The hotel provides the cleaning and there were some tables & lights that needed a cleaning and there was some typical wear and tear, but the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, which mattered more. The wi-fi was great, and having a dedicated desk was helpful since we both had some work to do after being away for almost three weeks. The walking to Waikiki was great along the beach. When we moved to the sidewalks down the main drag of Waikiki it was much busier and I was so glad we didn't rent a car. Great restaurants all within walking distance. Going the other direction from Waikiki we walked to a lovely park and beach, clearly well-liked by local families. If we'd been staying longer we would have taken a picnic there. Thanks for the chocolates and the bottle of water in the refrigerator! Thanks for making this lovely venue available!

Property was as expected. When checking in the unit had not been cleaned since the previous guest left. Luckily the front desk staff got us a room for the night and then we had to move back to the unit the next day. The property manager did not respond until the next day. Once in the unit there were no instructions regarding the unit (where to put trash, check out instructions. Local information etc.) like I have had at other VRBO

This condo is located in the Ilikai Hotel. Communication with owner before and during trip was great! He responded to my questions in a timely manner. The view was beautiful! Condo was roomy and clean. Location was excellent! Beach access and whale watching company were within a 5 minute walk. The mall was not too far away. Waikiki was a few minutes away in the car. There are beach towels, chairs and floaties for the little ones in the front closet. We ate breakfast most mornings here. Spent some time downstairs at the convenience store and at Dave's ice cream. ABC store, Mc Donald's, Red Lobster and Subway are within a 2 minute walk. Elevators get busy. You will spend time waiting. We used valet parking with in and out privileges. Cost is $28 per day. There is a washing machine and dryer on each floor so you can do laundry. Cost is $3 a load. I would stay here again! Aloha and Mahalo to the property owner!!!

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the view, location, and amenities. Everything in the listing was accurate - property was clean and well maintained, beach towels and beach gear for the family, well situated near Waikiki, with plenty of dining, shops, and grocery stores nearby. I could have used a few more kitchen tools (a wine opener would be great!) but very doable with what is available. It's only a 5-10 min walk down to the Hilton lagoon or the north end of Waikiki - amazing view for the NYE fireworks!! The views of the harbor and coast are lovely. Would highly recommend and stay again anytime.

We had a great time at this unit. It is close to the Ala Moana Mall (5-10 mins walk) and downtown Waikiki (15-20 mins walk). The unit is nicely set for 2 couples with beach toys, 4 Beach chairs and a few beach towels. The kitchen is definitely small to allow 2 people there and no dishwasher? Also, the weekly bed linen changes, we will have to do it ourselves as the hotel won’t provide the service. Overall, this is a great unit to spend for long periods.

This is a great property over looking the ocean. Beautiful view, great area to walk to shopping and a variety of restaurants. Owner is very responsive and helpful answering questions.

Wow, just wow! Gorgeous sunset views from Ala Moana Park to Barbers Point. The condo is VERY well equipped with everything visitors could need for a splash at the beach including chairs, towels and even floaties. We already reserved this property again for our trip next year. If you are on the fence, rent it. You won’t regret it.

Our family of four with two children had a wonderful time in this condo, and I would highly recommend it. Why?
1. Amazing ocean views: It looks just like the photos when you walk in with a sweeping view of the marina and ocean from the entire condo. We really enjoyed watching the surfers in the morning and the sunsets in the evening.
2. Owner: Ernest was very responsive to all our messages and helpful, before and during the trip. He even had a welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived--a nice touch after many hours of travel.
3. Great kitchen: We cooked and ate a lot of takeaway meals too and really made use of the stocked kitchen - plates, glasses, utensils, cleaning products, cookware, microwave, coffee maker, etc. I do agree with another reviewer that the owner needs to buy new ice trays (they were cracked so couldn't make ice) and dish towels, but that's a simple fix.
4. Convenient location: Could walk to the beach in front of the Hilton or to Magic Island. Five minutes to Ala Moana Center.
5. Quiet, spacious unit - two bedrooms and bathrooms (one with shower, one with tub), separated by the living room in case one child needs to nap--with blackout curtains. Nice quiet corner unit in the Ilikai. I'd guess it's probably much nicer than any hotel room you'd get on the hotel side (the Ilikai has a condo side and a hotel side). The hotel itself isn't fancy, but we did go to Dave's ice cream, the coffee place and the convenience store a lot. Also the surf shop is great.
6. Beach items: We all loved that there were a set of clean beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrellas and a huge basket of beach toys and snorkels.
Unit was very well cleaned and prepared for our arrival. Usually Ilikai housekeeping services this condo, but we were in Hawaii during a COVID surge, so the Ilikai and other hotels were cutting back on housekeeping. They did, however, deliver clean linens weekly, and came to do a light cleaning once, which we understood and was fine with us, as we didn't mind swapping out towels or making beds. But check with owner on the status of how COVID is impacting housekeeping.
The valet parking is $28/day, but I found out it's one of the better rates in Waikiki, so we just paid for the convenience. The valets were very nice. There is sometimes a wait during busy times, but mostly service was quick.

We had a wonderful stay at Ernest's spectacular condo. The views were unending and we loved how you could see both the oceans and the city and mountains. The setup of the condo is stunning so from every angle you have a gorgeous view. We could watch the surfers and the sunsets and the city life. The condo was extremely well equipped. Pretty much anything we needed was there, except for a dishwasher. But we had no problem hand washing the dishes. The unit is at the end of the hall so it is quiet and being on the 23rd floor you are away from the noise of the pools below but can still enjoy the music when there are musicians playing. We were sad we weren't there for Friday night because I'm sure the fireworks are fantastic! Lastly I will say that Ernest was excellent with communications. He sent multiple long emails with recommendations and responses to my questions. Check in and check out where super easy right there at the hotel. And it was great to have all of the hotel amenities available to us. The convenience store downstairs was certainly convenient and the markets and restaurants within walking distance were great! Absolutely would recommend this unit without hesitation.

We stayed with our granddaughters and it was so nice to have two bedrooms as well as two bathrooms. It was also great to have a kitchen so we could have breakfast in and pack lunches for the day. We also appreciated having all the necessary beach equipment! Ernest was easy to communicate with and responsive to my questions. The only reason I gave it four stars, is it could use a little “facelift”-there are some things in the kitchen that are missing, (oven mitts, dish towels, new ice cube trays).
All in all, it was a great stay!

From the moment you walk in the views are amazing! Full windows line the entire condominium giving you marina and ocean front views from the living room. The layout of the condominium was perfect for us. The living room and dining area offered a nice place for family to gather while there are two very separate and private en-suite bedrooms each on opposite sides of the common space. Each bedroom also has its own balcony. It is a very quiet unit at the end of the hall and we rarely heard anyone else. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning!

The two Lanai terraces were the most memorable aspect of this property. One with an ocean view and one with a city view. They were breezy and all of us spend time hanging out on the Lanai.
The location is walking distance from the Ala Moana Mall. which made shopping for groceries and eating easy and more affordable than just restaurant eating as we had 6 in our group.

Nice place. Having two king beds was a deciding factor for us. Also like the maid service and beach equipment. Could use an update. The carpet was pretty worn and the walls could use some paint. Also nearly impossible to watch TV in the afternoon till the sun goes down. Need some black out curtains. Didn't spend much time inside during the day anyway but did try to watch NBA playoffs. The kitchen was fully stocked and the individual room air conditioners worked well. It would have been nice if the ac had been turned on earlier in the day on the day we arrived so it would be cool when we got there. I couldn't sleep until about half way through the first night because it was too hot. The rest of the time was great though. Overall great place just needs a little more attention to detail. Mahalo!

We've stayed at Ilikai on Oahu several times over the years. This experience overall was great. Dealing with Ernest was one of the best experiences I've had with dealing with a property manager. He was extremely friendly and accommodating. The ocean to city views the room provides along with the space and furniture were the nicest we've had while staying at Ilikai especially compared to the times we've stayed with the hotel side of the property. While this was extremely nice, I can't say enough with how friendly and helpful Ernest was with a few requests we had. Thank you and hope to stay here again in the future.
