Now would be a great time to consider M-1 at the Golf Villas for your upcoming Hawaiian vacation. Our unit is located on the 4th hole of the world famous Francis H. I'i Brown Golf South Course which used to be the home of the Senior Skins Game. On a clear day, Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa rise majestically in the background. If this view wets your appetite to play golf at Mauna Lani, that pro shop is only a two minute drive away!

For non-golfers, so much to do. Mauna Lani Resort is the 3200 acre ancient playground of the Hawaiian royalty. Absolutely magnificent grounds, with 15 acres of fish ponds, gorgeous beaches, 27 acres of historic park, walking trails, and abundant wildlife with magnificent birdwatching are minutes away. There is an 'owner's beach' with water activities, hiking, bicycling, sightseeing, or walking along the volcanic rock shores. The Golf Villas is a low density community and the most tranquil and pristine condo complex at Mauna Lani with palm trees and tropical gardens surrounding the pool, hot tub, outdoor grill, and newly-equipped workout room.

Our unit is a luxury two story corner unit with floor to ceiling windows welcoming the sunrise in the living room. There is a TV viewing area with a large wall mounted 75" tv. Cable, internet, wi-fi, new granite counters throughout, everything a chef would need in the kitchen, an outside grill, full size washer and dryer, pullout couch for additional 1-2 people, a desk and wireless printer for the workaholic in the upstairs loft area, and for any musicians, an electric piano. While air conditioning is provided, with open windows the unit provides excellent cross-ventilation which lets ocean breezes pass thru to keep everyone comfortable. You'll find ceiling fans in the bedrooms and loft area to help circulate those tropical breezes.

The kitchen is appointed with new and updated granite counters and is fully equipped for all your cooking needs including a wine cooler. The dining room comfortably seats six with an extra four seats at the kitchen bar counter, and the outdoor teakwood table can easily handle another six people.

All 3 bedrooms have their own bathrooms (with new and updated granite counters) and flat panel tv's. The master bedroom has a California King size bed, an ensuite bath with twin vanities, river rock flooring in a shower, and separate soaking tub. The second and third bedrooms each have queen size beds.

In the separate garage, you will find two bicycles, beach chairs, beach umbrella, coolers, boogie boards, noodles, sand toys, and snorkel equipment. As our guest at the private beach club, you will have access to the lounge chairs and cabanas there as well. Snorkeling is some of the best and you can watch the whales during season put on their shows.

If you are training for triathlons, the Lavaman, the Ironman 70.3, and the Ironman World Championships, our unit is a short ride from these events.

We strive to make your stay a memorable experience. We have a contact person that will greet you at the unit upon your arrival and answer all your questions. He will be available should any problems arise. Please note that Golf Villas is a 100% non-smoking development.

Should your travel plans find you needing to extend your check out time beyond 10 a.m., a fee of $150 will be charged prior to your stay for departure up to 8 p.m. on your check out day. Golf Villas and Mauna Lani Resort is a 100% smoke free community. Smoking is not allowed within the golf villas and renters will be subject to fines if not adhering to the rules. Renters are requested to maintain their laundry as needed during the stay. However, on the last day, please put towels in washer and start the load before leaving. This helps the cleaners to prepare for the next guest as turnaround time is short. All trash is to be removed from unit before departure.

What was very nice about the place is the living area with two couches and three arm chairs and ottoman’s. It was like two living rooms in the same area. We had family of six adults and two preschoolers and everyone could relax comfortably. Ground floor Lani was nice for the children run around outside. Kitchen was supplied very well with everything but it seem limited on cutting knives. We cooked most of our meals at the condo. BBQ and Lani we used also which my husband was the chef. Read the directions in how to used the grilled. It run differently from most gas grills. My grandchildren loved the Golf Villas Pool. They said goodbye to the pool and folded the pool be back next year. I walked everyday within the Golf Villas for times around the drive and to gate it was 2.5 miles and stayed in the shade. Best part our friends lived in the condo next door. Definitely coming back in 2024.

The villa was equipped with all that we needed for our stay. Beautiful location. We had an awesome time. The only thing is that carpets are very stain and look dirty. Also in the kitchen it had a lot of spices that are very old and expired. Which really need to be thrown out. Would be nice to have the pullout couch in the loft and not downstairs in the living area.

The unit was fine, but one thing definitely stood out to me and that was the owner's control over the thermostat. Although they did allow me a two degree latitude to cool the unit below their limit of 78 degrees, I've never stayed in a dwelling that prohibited me from setting the temperature wherever I liked. One advantage of this unit was it's golf member privilege at the Waikola golf course - you can pay the "member's" rate instead of the normal public rate.

The condo was great and we had excellent communication with both the owner and the local concierge and both were also very easy to work with! I dropped to 4 stars for location only because if you think you will be in Kona for any night life - this may not be the place for you. It was perfect for what we needed! We had plenty of beach access within the area and a reasonable grocery store not that far away. The condo was very clean and so was the pool area and beach club. It was fairly hot and humid when we were there (upper 80's with humidity every day) but the AC worked great and we never had any issues. We wish there had been the trade winds to enjoy the lanais, but maybe next time! We also very much appreciated there were some staples already in the cabinets so we didn't have to buy spices, oils, etc for making our dinners. (We were not there for the nightlife so the distance from Kona was not an issue for us at all!). We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Kay's wonderful condo. The location was perfect and the kids loved being right across the street from the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked all of our meals at home and enjoyed sitting out on the lanai for dinner with the view of Mauna Kea. We appreciated the boogie boards, snorkel gear, chairs and cooler for long days spent exploring local beaches. Ten days was not enough in this island paradise and we hope to come back again soon!

Overall, my stay at this property was as-expected. The physical layout is ideal for a family, and the included amenities such as a pack-n-play, beach/snorkeling gear, bicycles, and a well-stocked kitchen ensured we had everything we needed. Why 4-stars instead of 5? 2 reason: Upon arrival, we were exhausted from the travel, and finally got our 4 kids to sleep when Bennett, the property manager, showed up. He was unmasked and entered the property, and sat down right in the kitchen, as though the COVID pandemic was not happening, despite being in the midst of the Omicron surge. I asked the purpose for the visit, and he said he had discount coupons for me, and wanted to show me the welcome booklet, which I had already read. Big drag after a long day, and fortunately he was receptive when I asked him to leave so we could relax. The second issue was with the air conditioning, which is advertised in the property listing. On arrival, the unit was about 82 degrees. There is a sign posted over the Thermostat that says in bold letters "The Air Conditioning is NOT BROKEN." I tried to cool the unit, but the thermostat was locked at 79 degrees. We woke in the nighttime dripping with sweat, and contacted the owner, who agreed to allow us to reduce the thermostat to 76. She also suggested we spend more time outside, that air conditioning is expensive and that's how they keep their rates low, and that she didn't need air conditioning herself. This rubbed me the wrong way, and I also thought the air conditioning was broken and said so. After 4 more days of sweating inside at nighttime, having to open all the windows, and my kids waking up drenched in sweat, I reached out again to tell her - despite the sign on the wall - the air conditioning was DEFINITELY broken, as the condenser had not turned on at all. Finally, she shared a repair-person's contact info, and he spent 6 hours fixing the HVAC system. I wonder if it had ever worked or the sign on the wall just dissuaded people from saying something. Because of this experience I will not be returning to this unit. That said, everything else was as-expected, and it's hard to complain when you're in beautiful Hawaii.

We had a great family vacation. The home and location was beautiful! It was an ideal spot that was close to several beaches and spectacular views! It was also nice to use the pool and hot tub right on the property. Kay was excellent at keeping us updated and informed on current conditions in Hawaii. The home was well equipped with everything we needed.. Everyone we came in contact with made it a pleasant memorable experience!

I stayed @ Kay's unit for a week for family reunion. Kay has been very helpful in answering questions promptly. Unit is amazing, fully stocked, and appliances are so clean, even the BBQ is "shiny" like new. The setup w/ 2 bedrooms upstairs, and 1 downstairs is great, allowing early risers free space . We enjoyed the lanai w/ the trade winds, and had meals outside daily. We appreciated recommendation of Kay of not needing AC during the day, and truly enjoyed the fresh cool air all day. The surrounding, facilities, the lawns are immaculate. The beach club provides good snorkeling. It was such a memorable experience that we would return and select Kay's unit without second thought Thank you Kay
