Named by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top tropical resorts in the world. This is truly the Hawaii of your dreams.

Hanalei Bay Resort is a scenic paradise with awe inspiring views. You'll be surrounded by cascading waterfalls and lush foliage - a mixture of tropical scented flowers so sweet, it will be hard to forget.

Sip on a cool drink and gaze out at beautiful Hanalei Bay and the magical Bali Hai. You'll wonder what took you so long to discover Kauai.

Our fabulous ground floor condo in Banana Building provides guests truly unobstructed views plus the luxury of a large grassy yard surrounded by lush tropical foliage for extra privacy. When gazing out at shimmering Hanalei Bay from our comfy living room you won't have to gaze through bannisters but rather you will have a truly unobstructed view that allows you to sit inside the condo and be mesmerized by the beauty of Kauai. Plus there are no stairs to climb, and the kids can play directly in front of the condo on the large grassy yard. As an added convenience our condo is situated close to the small swimming pool and BBQ's.

Every year we update our Hawaiian home so it will be pleasing to our long list of repeat clients (Ohana - extended family). Our eclectic furnishings embrace the essence of Hawaii, from our custom hand painted tile (created by a local artisan)to our newly remodeled Plantation style bathrooms. It has been my goal to create an ambiance that is comfortable, inviting and exudes island charm and character.

The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining allowing guests to meander from the interior of the condo, past the lanai onto the large grassy yard. We have spent many sunsets from this vantage point hoping to glimpse the 'green flash.'

Our condo has an inviting well stocked kitchen that will make cooking a snap. Our living room has a large flat screen TV, stereo with CD player, VCR/DVD player, plus a well stocked video library of DVD's and VHS tapes. For those looking to get caught up on reading we have a large book lending library plus board games. However, you will be hard pressed to take your gaze of the shimmering of Hanalei Bay below.

This sought after condo's bedroom (7106) has a large private lanai, en-suite bathroom, cable TV and IPOD docking station. During most months, except summer, you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the peaceful waves lapping at the beach below...

We cordially invite you to be part of our Ohana and come spend your well deserved vacation on the magnificent north shore of Kauai. Our island home is Nonsmoking, and there is a three night minimum.

All reservations are subject to a 17.96% Hawaii Hotel tax and a cleaning fee based on the size of the unit. The owner will not be held liable for any items left in the condo during the Guests occupancy and/or after the Guests departure. Please be sure to keep valuables with you at all times. (Safety box is available at the front desk). Excessive cleaning beyond the normal wear and tear will be charged accordingly to the Guest. Hanalei Bay Resort charges a $39 daily resort fee

We arrived and realized that the main ac unit wasn’t working, and the condo was very stuffy. We tried many times to contact the owner with no response till the next day. She was aware the ac was broken and told us to enjoy the cross breeze. It was way to hot. We were very disappointed .

The view off the back patio was amazing!! Great location in Hanalei Bay Resort. Only about a 20 minute drive to the quaint town of Hana which we absolutely loved. The resort restaurant/bar was terrific with amazing views. We had a couple days of very rainy weather so we’re unable to enjoy the beach but felt very comfortable in our cozy condo with phenomenal views of “Bali Hai”.

Stunning ocean & Mountain Views from the Lanai which expands to the bedroom and living room. True island indoor/outdoor living. Close access to smaller pool/ BBQ area. Larger lagoon pool/spa short uphill walk. The resort has a fleet of golf carts which will come to the unit to give you a ride to the pool, car, or beach if assistance is needed. In unit washer/dryer a bonus. Full kitchen well equipped- we prepared most of our meals in the condo on this trip. Foodland Market just a short drive away with all the necessities plus local island specialties in the full service Deli. Extensive tennis program is available on-site. Hanalei Bay resort is 1 of the few Princeville resorts with beach access, again just a walk or golf cart ride away. This was our 2nd visit to Hanalei Bay resort & we will return anytime we visit Kauai.

Breathtaking view of mountains. Centrally located to all activities. Kind of far to parking.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary here! Absolutely gorgeous view. The condo was beautifully equipped and the resort was really nice. We loved the private beach, the grounds, and the restaurant had yummy cocktails and live music! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I decided to stay at the HBR because we we got married during our stay on the bay beach. I must say this is one of the most beautiful condos I have ever stayed in! The view is jaw dropping and the unit itself is very tastefully decorated and clean. Joyce was very easy to get in touch with and she left many helpful tips for navigating the area and finding fun things to do. The resort staff was extremely helpful and made sure our wedding experience was unforgettable. The HBR grounds are impeccably kept, its like heaven on earth! We will certainly be staying here again, and hoping to stay in this exact unit due to its unmatched beauty and charm.

This Hanalei Bay condo was perfect for our honeymoon in Kauai! It is located in a super nice condo/resort property that really takes good care of you during your stay. The condo itself is really well stocked with everything you need for vacation, even down to a washer/dryer. Air conditioning is fantastic, we slept great every night. There's also a really nice lanai we ate breakfast on every day and a great pool on premesis. The parking lot is quite a ways away, but there are lovely staff members that will drive you to your car in a golf cart. There is a restaurant on the property that usually has live music and always has good food. The condo is pretty close to Hanalei town, which is super quaint and charming. You definitely need to drive, but it's only 10 minutes away. We loved our time at Hanalei Bay! Mahalo!

We had an amazing anniversary trip to Kauai - it was our 6th trip together and one of our best. The condo was part of the reason. For two of us it was even more space than we needed but we wanted a kitchen and most of the studios don't have a proper place to cook. Views are too beautiful to be captured or described. The condo had all we needed. It had been remodeled with new floors and furniture which had not been posted on the website so this was a nice surprise. AC was great and throughout the condo. Kitchen was well stocked and again - THE VIEW!!! one note related to Hanelei Bay Resort: if you have stayed at HBR before - be warned the pool bar is closed "indefinitely" due to "court mandate." The large space that has spectacular views and looks like it supposed to be a restaurant has been closed for years. Although this is NOTHING to do with the condo we rented and is disclosed on the HBR website, it is not what you expect from a place with "resort" in the title. This resort basically has no amenities left other than tennis, pools and the mediocre Happy Talk Lounge open only 5 days per week from 3-9pm only. If you stay here rent a unit with a kitchen or prepare to drive to all meals.

It is hard to best Hanalei Bay and the Na Pali mountains as ypur patio viewscape. And the HB Resort has beautiful grounds, pool, tennis courts, etc. We werr sorry that the Happy Talk Lounge was only open one night of our stay, but had some fun dining in Hanalei. Wish there was mpre lighting available in the living room and bedtoom, but we mansged. Great zone air conaitioning and ceiling fans kept us very cool.,even with our afternoon sun exposure. And the owner/manager Joyce was great!

Loved the location and the property. The view from the lanai was true to the description, both from the family room and the bedroom. We also enjoyed the meals and live music from the restaurant. The pool, jacuzzi and beach were quiet, private and beautiful. First trip to North Kauai and fell in love. We will definitely return. The condo was clean and well appointed. Communication with the property manager was great. The only “complaint” we would have is that the people in the units on either side of us were feeding the geese, roosters and chickens. The flocks congregated before dawn in front and practically pecked at our glass door for food. Literally looking in the windows and squawking. Be prepared to be awoken by rooster calls and geese calls before 5 am and into the late morning. Sleeping in here is impossible.

My family and I were so looking forward to a Hawaiian vacation that would be fun for all ages, be exactly what we thought Hawaii should be and Kauai did not disappoint. The beaches go for miles and there was a lot to do for our kids from ages 4 - 12. Hanalei Bay Resort even has an activity desk and water sports desk where you can rent all kinds of equipment. We rented stand up paddle boards and walked down to the beach and got them from the kiosk right there - super easy! Our accommodations were very comfortable and clean! The owner said she had updated a lot of items and for us everything was just wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better time!

This condo was ideal for our family (4 adults) with the layout of the 2 bedroom/2 bath offering privacy (with separate entrances ) and togetherness in the living room and open kitchen. The owner is extremely conscientious and constantly upgrading and dealing with repairs. The biggest plus the absolutely picture postcard view. Taking it all in over leisurely breakfasts together on the porch was a highlight of the stay. The resort grounds are expansive and beautifully kept with manicured lawns on one side and rain forest on the other. A club car could be called if you didn't want to walk carrying the provided beach equipment down to the expansive sandy shoreline which is shared with the grand neighboring St. Regis Hotel. It was only a few steps from our porch to the smaller of the 2 swimming pools--ideal for early morning dips. The condo owner could not have been more helpful prior to our stay and even with follow-ups afterwards. You do need a car, not only to visit Kauai's many attractions, but also to buy groceries or go out to lunch. The bar/restaurant on the upper level is only open for drinks and dinner. This may soon change as, during our stay, renovations were in progress on a major dining room which had been closed for years previously. All in all I cannot imagine better accommodations for a family visit to Hawaii.

This condo has a beautiful view and is in a great location near a nice pool and the BBQs. Joyce was an attentive and responsive hostess and keeps her place in beautiful condition. We will be returning!

Loved everything: great location--easy to get to the beach at the St. Regis, lovely pool area, and easy to get around. Loved the kitchen (you can tell that real people use it--perfectly outfitted) and nice size room. The patio with a view of the ocean and mountains was absolutely the best. And Joyce, the owner, was helpful throughout. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

I recently escaped to Kauai for some rest and relaxation, renting this fabulous condominium at Hanalei Bay Resort. I was pleased to find the condo was well equipped, maintained and tastefully decorated. Best of all, the views from the condo were mesmerizing and I spent many hours relaxing and enjoying the view. When not out exploring, I spent several lazy evenings lounging by the pool outside the condo, cooking food on the barbecue, and enjoying a glass of wine under the stars. Truly had the vacation of my dreams!

April 2016
My husband and I recently got back from kauai, we stayed at The Hanalei Bay Resort, room 7106, the first thing we noticed when we walked in is the view!!!! It's absolutely amazing, complete views of Hanalei Bay, and Bali Hai! Then the condo, it's huge and very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and nice furniture. Privacy was important to us, as we're on our honeymoon, and this was definitely achieved! Joyce was very helpful to make our stay enjoyable. The photos online don't do the condo justice, not to mention the panoramic views, but there have been many updates! I would recommend this condo to anyone!

The Hanalei location is great but this property has not been maintained and the beautiful VRBO photos are very outdated and misrepresent the current condition of the property. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness and condition of the unit and discussed it with the owner. Surprisingly she was aware of most of the issues (wallpaper, cabinet, dryer,..) and indicated they would fixed in the future. Personally I expected the issues below to be remedied BEFORE I arrived, not after I left. Owner was generally unresponsive to our concerns. Issues as follows: Large cockroaches in the bathroom Broken Clothes Dryer Black mold growing on wallpaper Strong mildew smell from carpet Dusty light fixtures and decorative flowers Kitchen cabinet door - broken hinge Kitchen recessed light - hanging below ceiling by wires Missing light bulbs - dining room and living room Peeling wallpaper in living room, dining room and hallway Patio furniture with rotten wood and faded upholstery Broken exterior Patio door handle Stained curtains in bedroom Broken louvre blinds mechanism next to front door Non functional or intermittent WiFi signal AC sensors broken on front door and patio door

We loved the patio, the privacy from the patio and the view. While the unit was very clean when we arrived, we found it in need of some updating. Kitchen was big and well stocked, with a washer / dryer handy. Bed was soft. If walking is difficult for you, know that you have to walk to and from the parking area and all activities. There are inclines. Check in was easy and the staff we encountered during our stay were kind and helpful. Tennis a big plus. Nice courts.

My husband and I just spent 8 days in this wonderful apartment, and enjoyed every minute! We are in love with Kauai, especially the north shore area around Princeville and Hanalei. This apartment is part of the Hanalei Bay Resort, which was the perfect spot for us to explore the area. There's a path down to the small beach shared with the St Regis. It never got crowded, and it was easy to find a semi-private spot in the shade under the trees that line the beach. After one afternoon of very heavy rains, the water turned murky and brown from all the rivers running into Hanalei Bay, but all other days, the water was perfectly clear. The resort was really nice, although we never spent time at the pool, and the restaurant and bar were closed for renovations. People looking for party should probably look elsewhere, but the resort is perfect for nearly everyone else. It is quite hilly, but there's a shuttle service you can call to take you to and from the lobby or parking lot. They will even pick you up at the bottom of the hill if you're coming up from the beach. The apartment was nicely sized for the two of us, with a separate bedroom and a large air-conditioned living room. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the lanai has a fantastic view over the bay and the mountains on the other side. I'm so in love with this island, and for our next trip I will look up this place again. Joyce even sent a multi-page document with recommendations of things to do and see, and where to eat. Thanks!!

Stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it - highly recommend this place. Stunning views, nice feel about the resort, and the condo has everything you would need. Short walk to the beach and beach bar of the Regis, I could have spent hours here if there was not so much to do on the island. The condo is really nicely decorated and has a great modern homely feel from books and DVDs and CDs to the most comfy outside lounges I have ever laid on. Pool area beautiful and we wiled away several hours in the sand bottomed spa with a red wine surrounded by tropical plants - bliss! Joyce was helpful the whole way through, and made it so easy for us to stay another night when we decided we couldn't leave! Only down points didn't really affect us at all. There is construction going on on site, but the condo is so far away you don't hear anything, and only see the odd thing down that end of the resort. Also the resort staff were not so friendly at the reception desk (the activities guy was sooo dismissive) but this is not a reflection of this condo - you can arrange everything yourself and after checkin there is no real reason to have anything do with the resort staff anyway. As an island Kauai is more than worth the visit - Na Pali coast walk, the Canyon, and Hanalei are highlights (and if you haven't taken a helicopter ride, do it!) - and now having been there, I don't think there's a question of which side of the island to stay on - this is it. I really hope I'll be back one day.

This condo is beautiful. Great location and views. Very clean and comfortable. Washer and dryer are a big plus. Very convenient. Small pool and barbecue area right off patio. Only drawback is the condos surrounding are all in a major re-hab. Loud construction and workers are present on weekdays. Trucks are blocking walkways. This wasn't a big issue for us but could be for other people. We would definitely rent this condo again, once construction is complete. Also, the restaurant should be finished in December as well.

Truly paradise. Beautiful views, fantastic pool and hot tub, easy access to a variety of attractions. We especially loved hiking to see the sea turtles. We were provided with accurate information so that we knew where the attractions were and what to expect. Can't wait to go back!

My wife, 3 year old son and I stayed here in September 2010. It was a beautiful time that we will always remember. Joyce was tremendous through the entire process, very attentive, very organized. The unit was spotless and well stocked. The air conditioning stopped working when were there and Joyce jumped on this right away. The living room has a beautiful view of the mountains and bay in the distance, and we were often greeted by Nene geese and chickens outside, much to the delight of my son. Each evening we sat on the lanai and watched the beautiful sunset. Ahhhh...... The resort is wonderful. The big pool is very pretty; the barbeque/snack area was wonderful and we ate and relaxed there a few times. It is about a 10 min walk to the ocean, downhill - very doable, and if you are tired out and don't want to walk uphill, the resort has a phone right at the foot of the incline where you can call the front desk and have a driver in a golf cart come pick you up. My wife was 6 months pregnant at the time and this came in handy! The area of Princeville took a little bit of getting used to for me, as I like things a bit more rustic. But I have to be honest, it really grew on me. It is a really beautiful place. We had brunch at the St Regis, which was expensive, but with a 180 degree view of the bay and watching a beautiful rain shower, while eating delicious food, I think it was worth it. Kauai is so beautiful it defies description and I can't imagine staying in the south of the island. Hanalei Bay Resort is a wonderful place to stay and Joyce's unit was absolutely fantastic. Very highly recommended.
