After the Maui fires our resort reservation was cancelled and we turned to VRBO for an alternative. Our goal was an ocean facing view and prime location. Man... did we meet (and exceed) our goals. The wrap around balcony gave us perfect views of both the water and mountains, and the apartment itself had everything we could need from two full bathrooms, a big living room, full kitchen and LOTS of drawer and closet space (not to mention hangers which I appreciated). With easy access to top restaurants, shopping, black rock cliff jumping (terrifying but I did it) and swimming with turtles (there was a family of 5 that happily swam with us every day)....this trip was exactly what we needed. The reception was seamless and inviting and we enjoyed the pool and easy equipment rentals.
Adam was very responsive and accommodating throughout. Maui has suffered immensely this year and we are so glad the bride and groom (the reason for our trip) did not change their destination wedding after the fires. The locals were so welcoming and we were genuinely happy with our stay.
We highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon.

We just spent three nights in Kaanapali in this oceanfront unit on the 7th floor of The Whaler. Our favorite feature was the wraparound lanai with spectacular views of Molokai, Black Rock, the ocean, Lanai, and the mountains. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the views were incredible. We highly recommend!

This condo was the absolute best! The wraparound deck was perfect with oceanfront views of the ocean and fabulous views of the mountains. It was close to everything from Black Rock to the Whaler shopping village. Sunsets were gorgeous and we were entertained by live music every night from the restaurant next door. It was never too loud. It was perfect. The condo was extremely clean, kitchen was fully supplied and bed was very comfortable with a sliding door that allowed us to listen to the ocean while going to sleep.

Perfect location for whale watching, snorkeling at Black Rock, walking the boardwalk and visiting shops and restaurants nearby. This is our second stay in this unit, and we love it! Nothing better than having a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine on the lanai.

This is our second stay in this unit - clean, comfortable, and decently stocked kitchen - only suggestion is to get a couple of cutting boards. The communication with the property manager was terrific — a storm blew over the outdoor table which has a crack in the top. The management company immediately got another one — really helpful!

The pictures online of the view from this condo don't do it justice. We've stayed at the Whaler before and this is our new favorite unit. Adam was great helping us get checked in a little early. The condo was perfect for our needs, and the location next to Whaler's village can't be beat. We will definitely be back. Thank you Adam!

You can’t beat the location of this unit. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen is updated and had everything you need - we take advantage of grilling downstairs at The Whaler grills. Whalers Village is right next door, we enjoy hearing the live music from the lanai and by 10pm it’s very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

The unit had numerous dirty spots on the carpets , drapes and all furniture needs replacement. It appears the bathrooms need
updating as we had to call the property manager to unplug the
bathroom sinks! We have stayed in many ocean front units which were all superior units. We would never book this unit again!!!!

We have stayed in this unit numerous times. You can’t beat the view and location. The kitchen is well equipped. Love the beach and the pool.
The Whaler staff is very helpful.

Great oceanfront views and easy access to dining, shopping and excursions . Also the boardwalk is right outside the door. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises . Clean property and nice layout . The only drawback is no washer and dryer in the unit .

Location! Location! Location! This property is right on the ocean and the lanai wraps around so you also have a view of the mountains (often with rainbows). The inside pics don't do it justice- it is much brighter, airier and roomier than they depict. Furthermore, there are books, games, beach toys, kitchen utensils and supplies to fulfill every whim! The Whaler provides easy parking and complimentary beach chairs and towels. As if that's not enough, the location is right next to the Whaler Village Mall with stores, cafes and restaurants. I can't say enough wonderful things about staying in this condo.

Absolutely perfect location in the middle of Whalers area. Amazing views from front of building. Unit is older and OK but would be perfect with some renovations, updating and nicer amenities. Appreciated the new TVs which have recently been updated.

The unit is in great shape. Renovated granite and stainless kitchen has everything. We spent days and evenings on the wrap-around lanai with the most amazing view. The beach in front of the Whaler is perfectly maintained, and the swimming is great. The grounds are manicured. What a pleasure!

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo! WOWZA THAT VIEW!!! I was mesmerized! How great to just relax on our own Lanai and watch whales 🐋! And such a great atmosphere for relaxing at night before going to bed. I hope we can make it back again soon!

We have been to Maui five times and have always used VRBO to rent our accommodations. But, by far, this is our favorite place for so many reasons. The VIEW can't be beat and we found the condo comfortable, furnished well and in a PERFECT location. We were next store to Whaler's Village and within an easy drive to Lahaina. There was everything we needed in the kitchen; the owners stocked it as though they live her year round. We had originally thought this might be our last time to Paradise but after being in this condo, no doubt we will be back. It was very relaxing sitting on this lanai and watching life, in the ocean and on the beach, go by.
We will be back!!!
