Kauai Kailani, Studio 211

Dip your toes in the surf at Kauai Kailani Oceanfront Condos on the sunny East Side of the Kauai Garden Isle. Nestled between the historic towns of Kapaa and Wailua and the nearby Wailua River State Park, guests have a dazzling assortment of activities to choose from, including exploring their wild side while hiking to Opaeka'a Falls or the Sleeping Giant of Nounou Mountain, surfing or whale watching on the open Pacific, picking from a handful of world-class golf courses, or walk to the many local and eclectic eateries and shopping options. Sip and aromatic glass of local rum, and pick up a unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry or art from the island's boutiques and galleries. And don't forget to scan the reef at Fuji Beach for the rare Monk Seal or bike to family-friendly Lydgate Beach Park.

The Kauai Kailani Condos each boast their own creative interior, tastefully planned for the guest's comfort and convenience. This second-floor suite is perfect for a couple or individual traveling with a group. Sleep soundly in the king-size bed and breakfast while taking in the coastal breezes and stunning ocean view from the balcony. Enjoy work-friendly Wi-Fi and Cable TV, a full bathroom with all the fixings, a kitchenette—equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, and toaster oven— and BBQ at the common area and rec room. A golden sand beach for swimming is a short stroll away, as well as the ocean-front swimming pool, complete with plenty of lounges for sun bathing and umbrella-covered picnicking areas.

Just a coconut's throw from the condo is the famous Waipouli Beach Resort where you can sip a local-concoction at the Oasis Bar. Downtown Wailau is also around the corner, offering a handful of cool cafes, grocery stores, and other amenities.
The Fine Print: Almost no homes in Hawaii have air conditioning. Please be aware, and if you have any questions about this, please ask before booking. We want our guests to be happy.

Enjoyed the location. Close to shopping , restaurants and beaches. Plus a great tidepools out back. Drove up each side of the island and to the canyon.

The room was ok. Towels provided were worn and had bleach stains (light blue towels that had pink bleach stains. Not impressed. Pillows were worn out and carpet was worn and stained. Pool was nice but many of the wicker lounging chairs on the property were broken. The breeze through the window was nice. Bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable. Neighborhood was ok. Walked the path along the ocean and was disappointed with all the trash and graffiti. We did have fun though and the parking and access to the unit was easy

The rental property was good, with a few issues one with the tv and one with the wifi. Both were resolved in a timely manner.

It was fine for what it was. Could have used another fan. The person upstairs was quite stompy

This property had a beautiful view from the front door, but no outdoor space. We had to go to the pool area to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchenette had no sink so we had to wash our dishes in the bathroom sink. The hangers in the closet were rusty. They did bring us some new ones when I complained. The bed was not comfortable. We ended up leaving the property early and moved to a hotel.

The location worked for me, as it was15 minutes from my 89 year old father’s home. The wall light switches did not operate any lights and the remote on the tv did not allow me to operate the tv remotely, I had to get up to turn it on and off. Although I was not home during the day, at night it was an inconvenient way to watch the tv. I know forming being a past resident that many accommodations rely on the tradewinds and fans to stay cool, however, even with the fans on, windows and doors open some days the studio was stifling. The stay were very quick to respond to my inquiries but they can only do so much.

The space was big enough for the two of us. Many beach toys in closet which we never used as we are not beach people. The only shortfall was no sink in the mini kitchen area.

This was just as represented. Good location, clean, convenient, quiet. The sidewalk out front connects to the bike path, which was great for a morning run. A full kitchen would have been nice, but we used the money we saved to eat dinner out instead. The Oasis on the beach restaurant nearby was great. We were able to swim at the beach at the resort next door, although it is pretty rocky and hard to get in very far. We drove to other beaches for real swimming/snorkeling.

The studio is fine for two people, but the description is a bit misleading because it says the studio has a balcony or patio, but it has neither. The "balcony" is the outside walkway which is used by the other condos on the same floor. This was really our only negative with the condo, especially since it didn't have airconditioning either (just a ceiling fan) so we were hot during the night because we couldn't leave the door open as we normally do if we have a balcony/lanai. So in the mornings we resided to sitting on our beach chairs on the walkway enjoying the ocean view with our coffees and breakfast, which is not ideal but we made due. Otherwise the condo has everything you would need for a week-long stay, including beach chairs and even body boards. The Kauai Kailani complex is just off the ocean with a little pool and some lounge chairs on a grassy area in front of the rocky shore. Because of shore erosion there is no sandy beach in front of the complex, but the beach is just a few steps to the south at the neighboring complex. We will definitely stay again at the Kauai Kailani complex, but not in a studio without a private balcony/lanai or patio.
