Don't worry about stairs there is an elevator up to the second floor! Sleep soundly in the king-size primary bed, as well as the 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. Have breakfast while taking in the coastal breezes and stunning ocean view from the balcony. Enjoy work-friendly Wi-Fi and Cable TV, a full bathroom with all the fixings, a fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances and fit to cook for the whole Ohana— and BBQ at the common area and rec room. A golden sand beach for swimming is a short stroll away, as well as the ocean-front swimming pool, complete with plenty of lounges for sun bathing and umbrella-covered picnicking areas.

Just a coconut's throw from the condo is the famous Waipouli Beach Resort where you can sip a local-concoction at the Oasis Bar. Downtown Wailua is also around the corner, offering a handful of cool cafes, grocery stores, and other amenities including Starbucks, Health Food Store and Safeway.

Note that this vacation rental does not have A/C. Kauai's lovely trade winds, mild temperatures and eco-conscious philosophy make A/C uncommon here. But ceiling fans, open windows, and breezes right off the ocean keep the condo cool and comfortable.

The most impressive part of this property is the view -Wow. The unit is clean, the beds are comfortable, the towels are very soft, the water is hot, the shower is perfect. The kitchen is good and all appliances are in working order. Grocery store is within walking distance or just a drive across the street. Location is good for activities and markets on this side of the island.

This small condo is perfect for a couple or even three people. The sound of the ocean is ever-present, and the view, especially in the morning is gorgeous! It could use a few improvement (new king-sized mattress), but is a great location with easy access to everything!

No question about it, the view is spectacular! The second bedroom with a king-size bed, has carpet that really needs to be taken up, trade the king size bed for a queen size bed, so that you can get in on both sides of the bed, and that both sides of the bed could have a place to put your glasses your lamp your book etc. That bedroom as well, it’s right in front of the elevator, so never, could we leave the curtains open to get the breeze without feeling like a spotlight was shining in! It was an overall great experience, just didn’t get a lot of sleep, also, wonderful kitchen, great amenities, but needs an icemaker spent a lot of time making ice cubes!

I don't like giving negative reviews but I chose this property based on the reviews and photos. I feel the property was falsely pictured. There is NO beach access from the property. Our view of the ocean was interrupted by a red safety fence to keep people from falling off the edge where the beach has been severly eroded. The photos showing the view of the ocean do not reflect the growth of the palm trees around the pool and need to be updated. As for the unit itself, the furniture was so dirty that we put towels on the part where our head would touch. Yes, there is no air conditioning so be prepared for some very warm days/nights. The master is right by where people come and go. If you want fresh air, you have to open the window and everyone walking by can look right in on you and hear you. There is a very noisy fan provided. There were 3-4 remotes for each of the tv's and we finally had to request someone come and show us how to use them to make the tv work. You must use 2 for each tv to make it work. The bedspread in the master had leftover underarm stink left on it that I got a nose full of the first night we were there. When we checked in, I found only one towel. I looked in the dryer and in it was the equivalent of at least 2 large loads of laundry that had been stuffed together and washed. I pulled it all out and folded it and when I did, there were clumps of someone's hair stuck to the towels. There were good things that I will mention. The kitchen is very well stocked and there was a nice gift grouping of wine and coffee, etc when we arrived. Having the washer/dryer was very helpful. The place was overall very dirty in my opinion. The doors were dirty and the wall in front of the breakfast bar was dirty. Simple wiping down things that require little effort. The location was really good. Everything you could ever need within walking distance. The traffic in Kapaa is backed up pretty much all of the time, so be prepared for that. I am sorry to say that I would never stay here again.

Not a fan of condos, but we chose this listing to visit friends in Kapaa. The unit was fine - comfortable, just as depicted and sunrise was directly viewed from the living room & patio (though not sure if will be in summer). Beach was closed to access - you can access ocean on beach at luxury development next door or head off on the easily accessed bike/walk path. Unit was tidy, but not real clean - with dirty bedspread, but management responded quickly when notified. Reserved parking a plus. Neighboring vacationers were a bit noisy at times. Overall the place was fine for our needs. Kapaa is very crowded these days and ocean view pricing reflects this. Not the best bargain, but we were satisfied overall.

The property lived up to its billing and there was a nice welcome package waiting for us on arrival. The lanai was very spacious. Air conditioning would have been a nice touch for those sleeping in the back bedroom.

The location was great to get where you want to be not really in walking distance to shops but not a major problem. Amazing sunrise and clear area quiet and comfortable. We work on neighbor islands regularly and know we will be back to this location again. The elevator was a great bonus.

I usually stay further North on Kauai, but wanted to try Kapaa and this Condo had great press. Love the location-super convenient and close to all sorts of things. I spent a lot of time in Old Town which is a 5 minute drive and it was really easy to get to all of my North island favorites. The condo is starting to show it's age a wee bit, but is perfectly fine. The view from the lanai is perfect. The little beach below the property was just fine for wading around and looking at sea treasure! My guess is that we will stay here again-good Lord willin' and the creek (ocean) don't rise!

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Kauai Kailani. This condo is centrally located in the town of Kapa'a, which made getting to the north and south very easy. The ocean views were beautiful. Our favorite thing to do was wake up and watch the sunrise every morning. The unit was clean and came stocked with the essentials to get your stay going. 2 grocery stores and several restaurants are all within walking distance. The pool was great, especially after coming back from a hike! The grounds were immaculate. It was hard leaving! If we are fortunate enough to come back to Kauai sometime soon, we will definitely be booking a condo at Kauai Kailani!
