The place has a five stars location, right on the sand in beautiful Lahaina, only a 3 min walk from the nearest beach. The grounds are kept immaculate, the apartment is small and comfortable. It was great for our family vacation.

Property was clean and maintained. Not much in the way of little extras. Have stayed at condos before in Maui that will provide beach chairs and ice chests for convenience. The hot water worked barely long enough on low pressure for one person to have a quick luke warm shower at best. Also was the only unit without a Lanai to block out afternoon sun without closing up the entire unit with the curtain. Thankfully we didn’t spend much time there as there is so much to do outside. But overall am satisfied with the stay. Very affordable nightly cost with an excellent view.

The location of this condo was great! Very quiet, easy to find, away from the hussle and bussle and had a great view of the water. A 10-15 min drive to downtown Lahaina and some pretty beach spots!
However, this unit seemed pretty outdated compared to other units I happened to glance over at. Upon arrival, a maintenance man was trying to enter the unit at the same time as my designated check in time. In my opinion, repairs should have been taken care of prior to my arrival. There was repairs needed to be done. Slider door was difficult to open, lanai shutters were broken and we were the only unit without a pull down shade on the patio. Floors were a little dirty and found some hair from previous tenants on the couch. Water in shower would only stay warm for about 5 min forcing me to rush to take a shower, unless cold showers are your forte. Multiple lights did not work. A little disappointed having to pay a cleaning fee when asked at check out to make sure I took out my own trash and washed my own dishes. If upgrades and repairs were made and housekeeping improved, I would book again!

Great location is the only reason for giving this a star. Poorly maintained condo. Dirty and run down. The main hall double closet is crammed floor to ceiling with useless junk including expired food cans, old shirts, and layers of dust. All kitchen cabinets are sticky dirty. Disgusting layer of dust(human skin) behind the beds. Years of dead bugs in bathroom ceiling lamps. Dryer vents into suite making it really humid. Old sheets, pullout couch is well worn and has lost all support. Our 4th slept on the floor due to the middle dip in the bed. Photo of Condo is not reality - No lush flora out front. Compared to other condos at Makena, this appeared to be the worst. AND a $300 cleaning feed asking us to take out garbage, dishes etc. I took photos if you would like to see? Honestly, I challenge anyone at the property management firm to stay here and be proud. The second property we stayed at, was SO MUCH more professional and cleaner than this.

Dated unit with a great location. Over a dozen of the track lights were out/didn't have bulbs and 2 separate calls to the management company didn't resolve the issue. Door to the lanai had to be opened carefully otherwise it would come off the track. Kitchen was well supplied to making eating-in an option and there's a Time market down the street. Overall a nice unit, but with the fees and lack of engagement from the management company, the value is meh.

The unit location is what we needed, 1st floor condo , steps from the beach. We have our own small beach, no need to drive elsewhere if you just want to relax and wait for sunset.The unit is 1 bed 1 bath with sofa sleeper in the living room. When we arrived we were instructed to register our car, no one was in front office, I also called them, no one ever returned the call.When we arrived, some dishes were not clean or were kept on the drawers that were still dirty. The floors were dirty, the electric fan in the bedroom was not working. I called their number, left a VM, no one called back. I called next business day, I was told someone will fix/ replace the fan, but it never happened.Unit may need some TLC with paints and minor renovations for update as well.Other than that, if you are looking for beachfront condo, this is it! We bbq for dinner most of the time and my daughter loved being on the beach until sunset.

Loved this property... the pictures are a little deceiving because there is not a sand beach but if it’s low tide you can walk down to the other park beach or walk the beaches in the morning. There are tons of turtles every day!!! The condo is very basic, but has what you need, could use a little TLC. Great walking distance to some local restaurants and coffee. We rented a paddle board and used it right out front of the property. Very quiet location away from all the “touristy “ stuff.

The condo was great especially for the price point. We had friends that stayed more towards the resort area which was about 7-9 minute away and paid double our cost and it was not as nice. Only con was no air conditioning however it was not unbearable. Condo management made sure there were lots of fans. I’m a Texas girl and always have the air conditioner on but somehow with the wind tunnel in the apt worked. So please don’t let the no AC steer you away. Grounds were kept very clean as well as the condo. Check in person was super nice. I would recommend this space!

I never received an email with check in instructions from Chase n Rainbows so when I arrived on Sunday I was locked out. The office was closed but there were 2 phone numbers to call in case of emergency on the office window. I called both but was sent to voice mail. I called the phone number listed by on the confirmation email, it was a disconnected number. Called VRBO and spoke to them for over an hour. Called Chase n Rainbows and had to leave a message due to high call volume. I was so happy when the returned my call 30 min later because my phone was on 3% charge after this 2 hour debacle. I don't recommend Chase n Rainbows for property management. Loved the location of the property. Hard to sleep without A/C.

Makani Sands 102 was perfect for us. We were sad the ocean access/stairs were closed but that turned out to be a minimal inconvenience. The property was clean and comfortable (some minor wear and tear, but had everything we needed/wanted) and the location and view were wonderful. Necessities were easy to find nearby, and we loved watching turtles out front (and spotted some whales and dolphins too). Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends/family. Chase 'N Rainbows was also great to deal with as usual (especially given that we had to re-book a couple of times due to travel restrictions).

This place is what I expected. I stayed in November and with the fans and the breeze it was not too warm at all even without air-conditioning. It’s in good shape, there are just a couple scratches on the floor and I couldn’t figure out how to open the shade in the bedroom but it had everything I needed and it’s a very pleasant place to stay. There is really practically no beach on the other side of the seawall that there is a park with a beach right down the street and then he was lovely. They were places to eat outside with a grill outside and a great fish market down the street. I didn’t use the pool but it looks fine. I enjoyed my stay.

This property is with VRBO and managed by Chase n Rainbows and they really dropped the ball. I was never emailed check-in instructions so we didn't have a code to enter. The phone numbers listed on my confirmation email from Hotels.com weren't in service. The office at the property was closed on the Sunday we arrived. I was on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get in while my phone battery was about to die. Real stressful situation. Once in we loved the view and cleanliness. Hard to sleep with no AC and loud people walking by open windows.

We spent a week in this condo at Makani Sands. It was truly magical. Perfect for 2 people. The sunsets out your lanai every night are incredible. Very close to several beaches, shopping centers and more. Looking forward to staying here again
