We had such a wonderful stay at the condo. The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of towels and linens were in great condition. The unit was very clean and looked even nicer in person. We used the golf clubs in the garage and took advantage of the discounted golf rate which made for a fun day.
Our favorite activity was going to the amazing pool area to watch the sunset and chat with other tourists and owners. Some nights there was even live music. The golf cart was an added bonus even though the pool isn’t far.
The process of booking and checking in was easy. We received a lot of helpful information before our arrival and always had someone we could communicate with. We loved the Big Island and can’t wait to return! This condo made our vacation care free.

LOVED the view and access to golf course, swimming pool, and club. The condo was everything we needed as a home base while we explored the island! Communication with owner and concierge was very pleasant and they responded in timely manner every time!
Well equipped kitchen and garage had anything you needed for a trip to the beach. The property is well manicured with lovely landscaping.
If we make it back to the island again this is the first place I will look into! Will highly recommend this property and unit to anyone we learn is going to the Big Island!

We have stayed in the Waikoloa resort area several times, and this was by far our favorite place! We loved the location close to the water, walking distance to Hilton and ocean-front sunsets, short hiking trail to black sand beach, incredible ocean front pool and fantastic pool restaurant/bar, quiet complex with gorgeous landscaping. This unit was perfect for us. We had everything we needed to cook, keep up with laundry, relax on the lanai, and enjoy the beach! We loved having boogie boards and other beach stuff to use! Super easy check-in/check-out process, owners communicated quickly, great cancellation policy in case anything came up before our trip. We had such an awesome time and will definitely be back to 9B! Loved the condo and location. Unlike some previous reviews, we found the Ocean Club staff to be very welcoming. We ate there and hung out one evening to watch the sunset. My son also worked there one afternoon. I would highly recommend the condo and owner (she had great communication).

The unit was very nice and had everything we needed for our trip. The garage was full of beach stuff, including chairs, beach umbrellas, and snorkel gear, which made our beach trips hassle free. We also took advantage of the golf discounts at the resort course, which saved us about $70 per round, as well as the clubs that were also in the unit saving us additional rental fees.
The communication was also great, and we would definitely recommend staying at this property.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was a great home base for our Scuba diving and beach day/boogie boarding fun. The beach towels, boogie boards, and beach umbrella were welcome items to have access to.
The best was sitting by the pool, enjoying a mai tai, and watching whales just off the coast - two days in a row. Can't beat that!
Overall the place was clean, quiet, comfortable, and everything we were looking for during our Hawaiian vacation.

We had a great stay recently at this property. It is a 2bd/2ba ground floor unit in the Hali'i Kai community of Waikoloa. There is a beautiful golf and ocean view. The unit is clean and modern with a well stocked kitchen and a gas grill. There is a nice welcoming gift upon arrival. The grounds are beautiful with a nice pool/workout area, tennis court, basketball court, and putting green. There is also ample beach gear, sports equipment, and a golf cart. Did not have any issues and overall it was a relaxing enjoyable vacation.

First off the condo is very well represented in the pictures provided. Very accurate in all descriptions. Amenities are top notch and the condo is well taken care of.
It was ready early for us which was greatly appreciated.
The grounds are beautiful and the pool was my dream pool and it didn’t disappoint.
Only thing that we are not used to was the rules of no outside beverages due to the fact it has a bar within the club. Not even a yeti with ice water was allowed.
I will say the food we did have at the club was very good and the Mai Tai’s were the best we had out of the many we had in our 2 weeks in Hawaii.
Lisa was in constant contact with me before booking and right up until go home time. She kept us informed of road closures due to the Ironman taking place the day we left and all the road closures. She is one of the most caring hosts I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I can’t thank her enough.
I would suggest this condo to anyone I know.

What a pleasurable stay at Hali’i Kai 9B! With thoughtful amenities throughout, our family of four had an outstanding time. We enjoyed the welcome basket and stunning sunsets on the lanai. The fully stocked kitchen/grill made it easy to prepare meals. Also fully stocked were the items for activities! Golf clubs, boogie boards, floating rings, coolers, and snorkel sets really helped us take advantage of the perfect location with quick access to world renowned beaches. And we all enjoyed trips to the gorgeous pool and Ocean Club in the golf cart! I would absolutely recommend this condo if you want a perfect stay in the Waikoloa area.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Lisa's place! It was a great gathering place for our friends and family who were staying nearby at the Hilton property. They commented several times about how much they liked the condo, the location, the view, and the amenities. I think they may have been a little jealous that they weren't staying at the Hali'i Kai!
The unit was even better than described...everything was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the welcome basket, the binder of information about what was nearby, and all of the pantry items left by other guests. The well-stocked kitchen and outdoor grill allowed us to make family meals. My husband and friend even golfed two days while we were there! It was such a bonus to have clubs for them to use and the discounted rate on the beach course.
We absolutely loved the pool and the on-site restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and the food/drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. We used the golf cart to check out the property a couple of days and were able to use several of the beach/pool items in the garage.
Lisa's place is by far the best VRBO we've stayed at to date. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this beautiful property and experience Lisa's hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was our third trip to the big island, and was by far our favorite place we’ve stayed. Great location, convenient to restaurants, shops and the beaches north of Kona. Nice view of the golf course and sunsets. We loved that the unit had all the stuff you need for the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials. Lisa is great to work with and is super responsive. We had a late flight out and she was able to provide us with a late check out (due to timing of the group staying after us). Would definitely stay here again!

I cannot imagine that there is a better place to stay in Hawaii. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our time here and the view was actually better than the pictures! The Ocean Club is a huge asset - a great place to swim and eat anytime we didn't feel like cooking or wanted to spend more time in the water without going to the beach. Lisa is without question the most incredible host going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. She responded immediately to all requests including providing alternative accommodations when our flight departure change extended our time on the island. From the start this entire process was stress free. My wife and I are healthcare workers and parents to a 5 and 3 year old. We needed a much desired break and decided to stay a Hali’i Kai because of some of my patients stating how wonderful the resort is. Everyone was spot on. What a place! And 9B was a gem of a find. Lisa the owner was so pleasant to work with. She even gave us a small discount for our dedication to serving the public which we didn’t expect. My wife came to tears when Lisa messaged us saying she wanted to give us a discount. The home is clean. Amazing view. We got a gift package that was waiting for us which again we didn’t expect. We visit the Big Island at least two weeks every year; however, we have not stayed at this beautiful neighborhood before. We are so glad we made this choice. The entire visit was fantastic, from start to finish. We were greeted by a thoughtful, lovely welcome basket and information notebook. The unit/condo was absolutely impeccable -- clean, spacious, with plenty of storage and superbly well-equipped, especially the beautiful kitchen. The unit is situated on the golf course with a view of the ocean (and whales). The entire complex is beautiful with a great layout and exquisite landscaping throughout. The unit is a short walk from a gorgeous pool, on the ocean, which includes the friendly staff and professional staff at the full-service bar/restaurant, an upscale ambience and an unbelievable a 270-degree view of the Big Island, Maui and ... more whales than I ever have seen in my 22 years visiting the Big Island. For runners like me (or walkers, too!), the complex is part of the beautiful Hilton neighborhood, close to many great restaurants. This complex includes miles and miles of great running paths with views of several dormant volcanoes, which are lighted for your convenience should you have to telework to Washington DC and run at 5:00 am are safe and as a bonus, are protected by herds of adorable wild but friendly goats of all ages. Most of all, our wonderful stay was enhanced by the attention to detail, care and customer service of our hosts, who stayed in contact with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was going well. As a result of all this, we plan to return next year if I don't find a unit to buy on my own in this complex! We thank our hosts for a lovely stay at their property; it was a great choice.

There is so much to say about our stay here. Lisa, the owner, wants your vacation to be perfect for you. She has a gift basket for you upon arrival with information about things to do on the island and a bunch of little goodies from the island. The condo is so comfortable and absolutely beautiful! Another plus is all the beach items. There are boogie boards, beach toys, snorkle gear, beach chairs with an umbrella! If you golf the condo also has a golf cart, tees, and golf balls. When we come back we will definitely rent this condo!

A fantastic place to stay in a wonderful part of Hawaii! We know the Waikoloa area well and have stayed at Hali’i Kai before, it has great facilities, including an ocean club with good food and perfect sunset views.
The check in experience was flawless, even with the Covid considerations. The unit was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, the owner had even provided a brand new Weber BBQ grill which we eagerly made use of!
Ocean and Hualalai views from the patio were idyllic, with views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa from the front too!
There were whales frolicking in the ocean and the provided binoculars came in very useful. The whales even sang us a song for our departure!

This was covid delayed vacation for us and we found Lisa's condo through VRBO. From the moment we reserved the space, Lisa was proactively communicating with us, and made tips and suggestions. The property is located within Hali i Kai resort, which is perfect middle of things. View over signature 7 hole towards ocean.
The condo was intra clean, exceeding standard. Lisa probably cider some welcome gifts and snacks, together with access to range of sports equipment and accessories, helpful if you travel with family.
She offered even access to discounts on golf courses in Waikoloa resort.
This made our stay so comfortable, we decided to stay longer!

The villa and complex are amazing. The back patio area has a view of the ocean and easy access to the pool/bar area. The Waikoloa area is great with nearby access to the best beach on the island. We have stayed in many VRBO and AIRBNB places around the world. Lisa was by far the the best, most responsive, and helpful host of any of them. The welcoming treats of a bottle of wine, coffee and macadamia nuts were a special surprise. Lisa shared all the fun items in her garage: snorkel gear, bikes, golf clubs—even her golf cart.
The condo was beautiful, fully equipped and in a perfect location. The pool and amenities were terrific. We watched the sunset each night from the pool area. We ate at the Ocean Club, which adjoins the pool, multiple times. Very tasty and reasonably priced.
We highly recommend Lisa and her condo.

The Resort - The Hali'i Kai is one of the best - we have been to all the islands and to a number of different hotels/condos, etc. and this is our favourite - great location near to almost all the best beaches on the Big Island, beautifully landscaped property, upscale and well maintained units, beautiful pool at the ocean's edge. Big bonus for us is the Ocean Club restaurant. Wonderful to be able to start happy hour at the pool and stay for sunset. Servers Kathy and Safire are attentive and the restaurant food is good. We love the combination condo style units with the resort option of an on-site restaurant. The hot tub with its sandy bottoms is one of our favourites. Our only comment on improvement for the resort would be a few more umbrellas or cabanas down at the pool for more shade at times. Otherwise, the pool furniture is super comfy and having towel service is a huge plus. We also make use of the tennis courts by playing pickle ball and in years past our son has enjoyed the basketball.
The Unit - This is a two bedroom unit that is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you should need for your stay. Loved the new flooring! We appreciated the binoculars - likely for whale watching but we used them to check out golfer's shots on the nearby fairway. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai with the ocean view and view of the morning golfers. Sunset on the lanai was fantastic - we were torn with being at the unit or at the pool for sunset as both are fabulous. Bed was comfy, there were lots of towels and supplies such as shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. We only used the air conditioning at night but that was a big bonus this trip as it was very humid and few Tradewinds during our stay. Another huge plus to us this trip was the Waikoloa golf option - we played a couple of rounds at discounted rates thanks to the membership by the owners. We are big walkers/hikers, etc. and oddly one of our favourite things was driving down to the pool and back in the unit's golf cart - that was special! The owners have lots of great toys in the garage - from the golf cart mentioned, 2 sets of golf clubs, bikes, beach chairs (great Tommy Bahama ones), tennis racquets, etc.
The Owner: Lisa was great to deal with and very responsive to any e-mails. She really went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good one. The check-in process was easy and the staff at the Castle Resorts were friendly. We'll be back!

This resort is in a beautiful location of the Big Island off of Waikoloa Beach drive, from the lanai you can see golfers tee off towards the ocean!! The inside of the condo is just as nice - comfortable, clean, modern. The golf discount from the owner's membership for the Waikoloa Beaches and Kings golf course is amazing. We played 18 holes of the Kings course for $50 (normal $185) and rental clubs for $25 (normal for 18 holes is $55). The condo has a lot of amenities so you don't have to bring/buy shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent. They provide coolers, snorkel, beach chairs, tennis rackets and even golf balls!! My kids loved the 4 person golf cart that you can drive around the resort :-) And the cleaning fee is reasonable compared to other condo owners - $150. The owner gifted us with macadamia nuts, bag of coffee beans and a bottle of wine :-) Thank you Lisa and Mike!!

We had a wonderful vacation on the Big Island and our stay in Lisa’s beautiful condo had alot to do with that! Lisa was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating from the time we booked the rental to the moment we checked out. The grounds around the condo and the pool area are a tropical paradise. The condo itself was very clean, comfortable and spacious. No shortage of towels, beach gear, coolers, sun shades, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. Extra touches of a Welcome Basket, toiletries, and some sunscreen were an added bonus. The patio was the perfect place for nightly sunsets. This was our 2nd visit to this unit - we have been 6 times total to Halii Kai - and love it. I wish we could tell you it's awful so you'll all stay away ( more time for us ) but that would just be mean. Truthfully this place has everything you need - kitchen supplies are well stocked and for activities there are beach towels,coolers, chairs, umbrellas, tennis rackets, bikes, golf clubs and so much more. The unit is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The view of the sunset from the lanai is one of our favorite features. The owner, Lisa, is great to work with and very open to suggestions or questions. You wont' be disappointed with 9B.
