The view is awesome; however when we arrived it felt like it was 90+ degrees inside. The air conditioner was not on, so my wife turned it on and we went exploring. After we got back the air was off. I turned it back on and noticed it wasn’t blowing cold air. I called the. Iggy service and they said the best they could do is send someone out tomorrow.
The fridge would not stay closed; it popped open about 5 min after closing. I called the day service the second day and they said they would send someone out; but they couldn’t get an air conditioning person out till Thursday (the day we checked out). They came and fixed the fridge while we were out.
The pool was closed for maintenance the entire time we were there.

This is a nice condo in a great location. Overall, it was good. It could use a new bed, but I got used to it after a few nights. It is a little older, but was clean and had what we needed.

I'm not sure how this property is getting such high ratings but their review sets negative things. There seems to be a common theme with the check in process. I did not receive an email with the access code either. When I contacted the property manager, she stated we were not even listed to arrive that day nor booked. That's absolutely ridiculous!
I don't know if there is enough space to list the amount of problems with this booking. The only thing good about this condo is the view!
This condo is absolutely filthy! The bathtub is absolutely disgusting. Everything in this apartment is dated probably. From the 1970s or 60s, including the appliances.
The beds were uncomfortable, the air conditioning did not work, the stove was slow to heat up and they did not leave any fabric softener for the dryer. Let's not mention the pool was completely shut down the entire time we were there.
I asked to cancel this property in the midst of the fires. However, the owner absolutely refused making statement.
This property was absolutely not worth the price that we paid. I absolutely would not do this again! Ive had much better experiences using VRBO and I am completely disappointed. I would never recommend this property nor will I ever be using it again.

We loved our stay. Beautiful view. Well stocked. The lagoon was amazing. We saw turtles every day in the lagoon. Highly recommend!!

This condo has stunning views, comfortable bed, new sheets, shower curtain,towels. Kitchen cabinets have been updated and nice tile floors in kitchen and bathroom.
The unit could use flooring replacement on the patio and all carpet spaces. At the every least a deep deep clean is needed. A shower upgrade should be on the list to bring this unit to a 5 star review.

Really amazing location on Maui. Clean, as pictured. The only hiccup was the late check in email, which we received as soon as we called. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

This condo is in a great location. The whale activity was great and you could watch from the lanai. Bring binoculars. The check in was a bit challenging as the wrong access code was provided. A call to the management company got us the correct access code. I let the owner know and he was appreciative of the information.

Great place for our annual trip to Maui from Oahu. Unit has a spectacular view and was comfortable and clean. Property manager and host were great to work with.

Checkin was the problem. VRBO sent checkin codes as did Maui Condos, however, they were different. Since we rented through VRBO we tried their code. Didn't work. The wi-fi codes were also different. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

STAY AWAY ! Unit was Dirty and Out of Date - Pictures aren't accurate . Upon arrival the unit was hot and dirty. The Toilet hadn't been cleaned and would turn your stomach. The vanity top was filthy. The drapes to the balcony had mildew. The unit looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's. I'd guess the carpet is 25 years old. I dare you to touch the buttons on the blender without wearing rubber gloves. And to top it off when we complained, the owner was very difficult to deal with.

This place was AMAZING! It was clean, right on the ocean with the most amazing view, and such a great location on the island. We had an issue with the code when we arrived and we called and it got fixed right away. All communication leading up to the stay was great. We are already planning our next trip there!

I can't really rate the property as we never actually stayed in the unit, however we did drive by the property and it seemed ok from the parking lot. We were notified by the owner, 24 hours prior to check in, that there was no condo available for us because of a management problem. I'm not sure what the real reason was for the cancelation but in a previous review from another guest we read that the unit had been double booked. Not sure if that's what happened but it's definitely not a good experience to have to find a place to stay in Maui with 24 hours notice. Also, be aware that vrbo does not have same day booking so once you are within 24 hours of check-in there is no way to book on vrbo. We spent about 5 to 6 hours on hold or being
transferred from agent to agent before we realize there was nothing that they could do to help us to book a replacement property. We found our own property and booked it for double the price we were originally paying. We did receive a call back the day we were flying out and they said to submit our receipts and credit card statement for the replacement property and they would review and reimburse the difference in price if they determined we were eligible. We will see if they reimburse us.

Over-all we were very happy with our stay here. We enjoyed the lanai very much with a great ocean view and sea breeze, at times we were entertained watching the windsurfers and Kiteboarding in the near distance. The nice sandy beach adjacent to the property is semi-enclosed and protected by a breakwater - ideal for small kids. We also enjoyed the pool daily, not large or fancy, but plenty of chairs to go around. We would stay here again.

The location of this property is excellent. It is in a large residential/rental mixed use building. The balcony is a perfect place to enjoy your afternoon. Perfect two stars for that.
However, this rental is one of the worst in my experience. The owner lives in CA and leaves everything on the shoulder of rental office manger who also handles 150 other units. We asked where to park in the parking lot so we can haul up our luggage with least amount of walk. The owner and his rental manager could not give me a simple answer that we should park close to the covered driveway. Parking at night can be tricky, if you have a late arrival. Best drama was with parking permit. Owner said there will be parking permit inside the apartment but rental manager said I need to stop by the office, which opens from 9AM to 2PM. Seriously, does the owner expect us to stay inside the rental till 9AM just so we can pick up a rental permit? Luckily, no one towed our car. We just left a piece of paper with our unit number on the dashboard.
Parking aside, the interior of the rooms are dated with barebone amenities. The exterior carpet, I am not sure how old. Table in balcony was not cleaned in a while. Restroom was visibly not clean. Owner gave us a wrong pool access code. Rental manager did not bothered to give us the correct key. By the time he got back to me, our vacation was almost over. Overall, I would not stay here again and not recommend anyone to stay here. First time in my rental experience, I am leaving such a stale review.

Great location for visiting any area of the island. The trash-garbage chute outside the condo door was noisy as people don't respect the hours of operation. Condo was pretty well equipped for our need. Pool and BBQ was very clean.

The facility and the surrounding property were excellent. Prior to our trip however, I emailed questions and left a voice mail for the host contact we were provided in the Vrbo documentation, but never received a response. The email received just prior to our trip included an incorrect code for the gate to the pool. Sunday morning, the 12th of our 14 day stay we awoke at about 5:00 AM to a strong hot electrical odor. The onsite manager and maintenance people were very responsive and helpful in determining there was a problem with the kitchen range. We understand an electrician did visit the room that day, and and appliance repair person the following day. We returned to the room late Monday to find a note that read "Stove tested Okay to use". My wife touched the control panel and other areas of the stove and found them to be overly warm, yet the stove was not turned one. The electrical odor had begun to return. We turned the breaker off at the panel before going to bed. In the morning we found that although the refrigerator lights were on, the fridge was no longer cooling, ice in the freezer had melted, and the contents had to be thrown away. We also brought to the attention of the onsite manager that the mount for the smoke alarm was empty and that there did not appear to be an operating smoke alarm in the room. We were also concerned about the overall cleanliness of the room. I can provide photos of specifics upon request. Hopefully the comments I've chosen to offer will at least provide future guests using this room with safe/operating appliances and functioning smoke alarms. Although we enjoyed our stay, these and a few other issues made it less than perfect.

Perfect for the 2 of us. We saw turtles from the lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bed was comfortable. Most importantly it was clean. The grounds were well kept. Very pleased with the condo. The view is magnificent.

The host provided body boards, chairs, a beach umbrella, 4 beach towels and a cooler which are not mentioned in the listing but were super useful on our trip! We enjoyed sunset dinners on the balcony which is literally by the sea. It was not easy to find the wifi password, parking instructions or pool password but we figured it out eventually. Kihei is in the optimal point of driving to Wailea, west Maui and Road to Hana. The property is a short drive to Foodland and popular local restaurants. Will come back!

I would not recommend this place. When we first arrived we called the owner (because manager didn’t answer) and asked about parking, the owner wasn’t happy about me calling him instead of property manager. Ok fine, then why do you even have your number on the description? That was just a start. We came in to our unit, the place was dusty and not clean. A several things were damaged (lamp, door, bed, no ace in the room, etc) and my kid got hurt from the sticked out thing on the sofa bed. There was one wooden stick in the room that had nails, that was dangerous for my kid too. Dishes were dirty, I don’t think they clean this place. We had to vacuum ourselves several times and omg, vacuum filled in with dusts so quickly. Had to vacuum many times while we stayed here. We basically had to do so much housework. Also there was a ceiling water leaking issue. And plus WiFi stopped working so I texted manager, got the new code for other WiFi but slower. But it’s ok we servived with the slow one. The owner gave us wrong pool gate code so we asked to ask other guests (later manager gave us one too) to get in and out. The area is good and ok. Only thing we liked was the view. And beach is nice for kids.

Wonderful location for little ones. The condo steps literally end at the ocean. The bay is shallow and perfect for kids. There were turtles in the bay everyday. We will stay here again.

Menehune Shores is right on the ocean about 30 yards away. Beautiful views of the sea and mountains to the right. Nice little beach below and a restaurant bar below...barbecue etc. The condo is fine as well. But we arrived at 3 to find the place half cleaned. The kitchen was fine but there were sheets on the table, stuff in the washer and the vaccum plugged in but not used yet. I had to just guess that the sheets had been washed. I don't like that during covid. I called the manager and he said he had not heard from the owner that I was arriving and that this had been happening lately. He said the cleaner would get back to finish cleaning the next day at an hour of our choosing, which was done. I texted the owner and he apologized for the inconvenience and said there had been communication problems with the manager. Weak apology and to be honest I don't think its reasonable to ask guests to pay full price to sleep in an uncleaned place.

We got to the property late Tuesday evening, the code in the door changed and we could not get in. We called the on sight manager and he said the property was double booked for the 4th time in a month and to call call property manager which we did and it took us calling him with several phones because he kept yelling at us and told us to quit calling. We sat on the balcony exhausted for a 1/2 hour when we finally got The site manager to put us in a different room. The carpets got cleaned our first day there so it was wet for a day but were grateful to have a room. Both the site and property managers were extremely rude and angry we called them. Won’t do a VRBO again. Another thing is the swimming pool code was a year old and we couldnt get in. We were told that by a worker at the property and no TVs worked.

The condo was great. Very clean and comfortable! The kitchen was very well appointed. I would definitely stay here again and others in our group were impressed and will remember this unit for future trips to Kihei. The only issue we had was with VRBO. They had applied our money to the wrong account. It was resolved but it took a while. This would have been a 5 star review if not for this.
