Ocean View #1257, located high up on the 12th floor of the Whaler, offers amazing vistas of the Pacific Ocean, Kaanapali Beach, the neighboring island of Lanai, and the West Maui Mountains. The spacious floor plan has 1118 square feet, including a 213 square foot full-width lanai.

What makes this One Bedroom - Two Bathroom unit different from many others at the Whaler? 1) Its top floor location gives an unobstructed superior view of the ocean, beach, golf courses, and majestic mountains, and 2) Its location is the closest to the ocean you can get without paying the extra price for direct ocean front. Unit 1257 is located on the south sunny side of Tower 2. Relax in the cool island breezes on the comfortable Tropitone outdoor furniture and watch the whales, in season, right from your private lanai. This is the ideal setting for sipping MaiTais, sharing a meal, and listening to live Hawaiian music from below. Although you may never want to leave, you are only steps away from beach activities, shopping, and restaurants--or plan fun sightseeing excursions around the island! Fall asleep each night with the gentle sounds of the ocean.

This deluxe condo features a light and airy seaside décor and many upgrades. The kitchen is been completely equipped with new granite countertops, fresh flooring, wood cabinets, recessed lighting, and all the amenities. The living room and bedroom have been recently carpeted and have mirrored walls and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize your enjoyment of Maui's exceptional beauty. Both the king-size bed and queen-size Sico (murphy) wall bed provide a restful night's sleep. The full-size marble bathrooms have also been refurbished with new cabinetry and tropical décor. There's also a free washer and dryer inside the condo. If you just can not leave business behind, our unit has an office area, which is laptop-ready with free high-speed internet connection, fax, copier, and printer. Even a complimentary in-room safe is included.

This beautiful one bedroom, two bath home accommodates four people. The unit is entirely Non-Smoking, including electronic cigarettes and vaping, both inside and out. Smoking, vaping, or using electronic cigarettes will result in the loss of your security deposit. We do not allow pets of any kind. Check-in time is 4 PM (or earlier if ready) and check-out time is 11 AM.

Housekeeping:
A $200 cleaning fee is charged for end-of-stay standard cleaning, excessive cleaning will incur an additional charge. Requested cleaning during your stay can be arranged for a nominal fee. All linens are provided.

Deposit Information:
DEPOSIT INFORMATION:
A 25% deposit is needed to secure your reservation. The balance is due 60 days prior to arrival. The damage deposit is fully refundable upon satisfactory inspection of the unit's condition following your stay. Hawaii's non-smoking law is firmly enforced by the condo association and violation will result in forfeiture of deposit. Personal check, credit card, bank transfer, money order, certified check or cashier's check accepted or payment through VRBO. The Whaler front desk charges a daily $31 + tax resort amenities fee until April 1, 2024, then $33 + tax until April 1, 2025 when it becomes $35. (None of the resort amenities fees come to us.)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to arrival will be completely refunded. Cancellations of fully paid reservations received less than 60 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund of total rental fees (less VRBO's "service fee"). There is no refund if a reservation is cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival.

Life is full of surprises. That's why we recommend you purchase cancel for any reason (CFAR) travel insurance for protection from something unexpected.

Beautiful location, 12th floor, expansive ocean and shoreline view. Well appointed, very clean, nice linens, includes washer/dryer. Very friendly owner, who welcomes communications w/guests with questions on procedures and expectations as well as providing written a list of arrival instructions. We have stayed in several hotels and condos in Kaanapali including the Sheraton, Marriott’s Ocean resort, Kaanapali Beach Villas, as well as others in Kihei and Wailea, and after staying here, this will be our “go to” place.

Wonderful property for our family spring break trip to Maui. We enjoyed everything about the condo from the comfy beds to the well stocked kitchen and other thoughtful touches. The view and large lanai were spectacular for relaxing or enjoying a meal or beverage. It is on the Whalers Village side however you still have full unobstructed view of the ocean. Just stunning. We wanted to stay right in Ka’anapali and the location was so perfect. This condo truly had everything we needed for a great trip!

This property, right on the beach at Ka’anapali Maui, is the perfect place to do as much, or as little, as you like. The location is central to a great swim beach, snorkeling, whale watching, catamaran cruising, shopping and dining. It’s even got an “express route” to the ABC store. This time, we ubered from the airport and left the rental for the hundreds of others waiting in line. No regrets at all! The condo itself is great! Nicely appointed and comfortable with views of the sunrise and the sunset. The site and sounds of the crashing waves are exactly what we come for. This is our second stay in this same unit and we will be back. The Jordan’s are fantastic hosts. Mahalo & Aloha

This rental is a great unit on the 12th floor. It has wonderful views of the beach and overlooks the Whaler's Village. The unit has all the necessary conveniences and consistent with the posted pictures. Communication with the owners was easy. This is a condo that I would rent again.

We’ve stayed in many different units at the Whaler over the years and this is a favorite. Best stocked kitchen for actual cooking we’ve had, very clean and comfortable. We’ve come to prefer this building and the wide views it offers. We also like hearing the live music from the Hula Grill while we enjoy a sunset cocktail on the huge lanai. Mike is a terrific host with exceptional communication. We will definitely be back! Mike is exceptional to work with

We were a 3 generation group of 8 who rented 3 condos at the Whaler. My father (age 76) stayed in this lovely condo and loved it. It was the most economical of the 3 rentals, but the largest, best equipped, and with the best views from the 12th floor. The in unit washer dryer was an excellent perk. Tiny downside that is not relevant is that it is less updated than the other units (if trendy tile in kitchen and bathrooms is important). Outstanding location - walk to excellent restaurants, fun shopping, bars and steps to the beach. We enjoyed Kaanapali more than the Wailea area in a previous trip. Highly recommended.

Our flight was changed and we asked to get in our condo a little early. We didn’t get in till 4 pm. Check in at desk was easy. The owner, Mike was always available for any questions. We’ve stayed at this resort many times. We chose this for the location, but the patio was always in the bright sun and we did smell some smoke from the Hulla Grille below. We did enjoy the location to whalers village and the view! I would recommend this condo as we have stayed in better and worse. Thank you Mike and Eileen. We had a great stay at this place - the space seemed big even though it was a 1 bedroom (was concerned as a family with teens but it was spacious. Everything we needed was made available to us. Great to have a washing machine/dryer in unit. The location to ocean is close - views of sunset every night. The kitchen had all items needed and very organized. You really can't beat the location of this property. We've stayed here before and we're so happy to come back. The property is clean, orderly, well stocked. The view from the lanai is the best part. It would be nice if the owners invested in a new mattress and bedding for the bedroom. My husband's back hurt by the end of the week. I was fine. The murphy bed is a real plus for extra guests, much better than a pullout sofa. The price point was right, and it fit the bill for what we needed. We love Kaanapali!

Mike and Elaine were excellent hostsand took great care of us. The views from the top floor of the Whaler over looking the ocean gave us a straight shot at watching the sunrise from bed and the sunset from the lanai. We look forward to returning!
