Sugar Beach resort property was very well kept up. Penthouse 14 was very clean and had beautiful views. The management team we dealt with were wonderful. Very communicative. The only downfall with staying at this location is it’s very windy in the afternoon. The beach is long for taking long walks. It is not very wide. KIHEI is a very good centrally located area however, it is somewhat quiet. If you’re looking for a well populated area, this is not the place for you. For me and my family it was wonderful because you could drive to the populated areas, but come back to the peace and quiet. You do need a rental car if you plan on going places as you have to drive to get anywhere. The restaurant on property was good food and good service. Maui sights were very helpful setting up a snorkel putting for us. I would come back.

We are so happy we chose this property for our first visit to Maui. Sugar Beach was beautiful and peaceful. We loved walking along the undeveloped beach exploring among the rocks and tide pools to the northwest and walking to the farmers market, ABC store and shaved ice stand to the Southeast. It was a short drive to the shops, restaurants, aquarium and harbor. The property was as described and communication with the property manager could not have been better.

This is the second time we've stayed at this condo. It's nicely appointed (although it could use a few more plates) has comfortable beds, is very clean and of course, has an incredible view. Beautiful sunsets and whales from your lanai. Sugar Beach Resort is great - large heated pool, hot tub, a nice long beach and the grounds are very well maintained. Jean, who handled the rental arrangements was great a communicating.

Sugar Beach was an amazing place for me and my family over the 2022 holiday. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed for the 2 weeks we stayed. The kids loved the hot tub and pool. The community is friendly and engaging. Jane who managed the unit we stayed in was super helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property.

First time we stayed in this unit. Great view and layout. The kitchen island was a nice upgrade. Very comfortable unit.

We chose Maui to bring the family together and celebrate each other. We flew in from Kauai and LA. The views were phenomenal, The lanai was incredible, we spent a lot of time out there. Beautiful open floor plan with perfect lighting. The newly refreshed kitchen & bathrooms were lovely. Wonderful stay! We tried to book the same unit again for the end of September but it's booked, sadly. It will be hard to beat the one. Dont really want to chose something different. Thanks for a nice, safe stay on Maui.

You can’t beat the amazing view from this condo. The location was the best ever. The condo was very spacious and comfortable with all of the necessities needed. The bathrooms and bedrooms are in need of some updating but the other areas have been done. Certainly would stay again if in Maui.

The penthouse was beautiful, the views were amazing and overall had everything we needed including beach umbrellas, chairs, etc.

The property is as described. Walking in and seeing the view from the balcony is amazing! It was hard to leave the condo once I started my morning cup of coffee on one of the balcony loungers. Everything you need is there (and I loved that people had left coffee filters and small things for the next guests.) The binoculars for whale watching on the bookshelf are such a nice touch.
The only thing I would ask is to replace (or rotate) the mattresses in the second bedroom. The one I slept on had a dip on one side. I felt like I was falling out of bed every time I rolled over! Other than that, this property is great. I would definitely rent it again.

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights in this top floor condo unit in July. The management company provided great communications/instructions and immediately solved a minor issue with the door code upon our arrival. We found the unit exactly as advertised! Clean, very well appointed (especially the kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer) and the added benefit of having beach chairs, an umbrella, and coolers for use was very much appreciated. It is an easy drive or Uber/Lyft from the airport (15 mins) and the location makes a drive to Lahaina (about 25-30 mins non-rush hours) or the Wailea area (15-20 mins) very manageable. Miles of sandy beach to walk, swim, snorkel right at your doorstep and a fabulous view from the double-wide 180 degree (or more?) view lanai. It wasn't whale season but the unit had binoculars which would make viewing during that time even more enjoyable. The unit could use some updates or a refresh in the BR's and Baths (no TV's in the BR's but no big deal with that view!). The only things keeping this from a 5 star rating is the lack of beach front restaurants/sit down dining in the immediate area (nothing within walking distance anyway except for the on-site sandwich/bar), the refreshers, and the unfriendly check-in person (works for the condo association so not this unit owner's fault! and did not affect rating). But there are a small bakery (get there early!) and convenience store close by. So this is really a 4.5 rating.

This was our 4th stay at this property. Each visit my husband, kids and I have had an amazing stay. Breath taking views of the ocean from all public rooms! Updated and well equipped kitchen. Easy access to large pool and beach. Room feels very private. Resort has never felt crowded. Deli on site. Quick walk to ABC store and 7 minute drive to Safeway (15 min to Whole Foods). Always perfect weather. We look forward to our next stay.

Full ocean views from living room and kitchen. We saw many whales while sitting in the kitchen and deck. The deck is double size because it's a corner 2 bd unit. The property seems well taken care of and clean. There were beach chair/ an umbrella and coolers to use. Some other units in Sugar beach also have provided snorkels, fins, and boogie boards. But perhaps that was because those items were left by other guests. It's easy to rent snorkels from Sugar Beach for the week for $25/each. The beds were fairly comfortable but the pillows could use updating. They were all rather hard. The property managers were responsive. We were mistakenly given the wrong code for the safe and I had items locked inside. A gentle man from the property management company answered the phone right away and was able to give me the correct code. Also the hair dryers that were at the property did not work and they delivered a new hair dryer within 2 days. There refrigerator was nice because it had a water and ice dispenser. We would stay her again.

We loved our stay in this beautiful condo. The ocean view and large lanai made for the perfect nightly happy hour spot! The condo was clean, well appointed, and stocked with plenty of towels, kitchen tools, and even some sunscreen. The location was convenient to everything, and parking ample. The grounds are well maintained, and on-site staff helpful and courteous. My friends and I were overall so impressed, and all agree that we would love another vacation in this lovely spot!

This was our third stay at this condo with our two children. The views are beyond amazing! All common rooms and deck have an unobstructed view of the ocean. We eat all meals on the double deck. The condo feels very private (you barley see the other condos). The kitchen is updated and well stocked with everything you need. The bathrooms are also updated. The pool is really nice and the beach is only a few steps from the pool. The beach has never been crowded and the small waves are perfect for kids. You can rent a snorkel on the property and swim out to see fish and turtles. It is a short walk to the ABC store, farmers market, bakery and shaved ice.
