We love MKV! The location of the complex couldn't have been better. This particular condo is quite small but was adequate for our needs, as most of our time was spent on the beach or exploring Maui. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. The condo was ready for us even though we arrived a bit early.quick.

We loved the resort and our room was good. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The shower was amazing and we loved the ice maker. The air conditioner was more than adequate to cool the room. The filtered water stations scattered about the resort was also appreciated.

This is a great location. The two pools and beach access are nice and the space is very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and were close to a friend’s wedding. I didn’t spend much time on the lanai because we were too busy but that might feel a little noisy for some for is proximity to the road but it’s a really great spot. We had friend who reserved ocean front but liked our beach access better.

The unit was very clean and pleasant. The property manager was easy to reach and communicated with us about quick repair of small maintenance issues. The beach access was a little far but very nice. We did a lot of site seeing and driving around so didnt spend much time in the unit since it was a bit of a trek from a lot of the attractions and food stops we wanted to visit but we were glad to come back to a comfortable spot at the end of the day. It was nice to have the full kitchen as well.

I and my husband had a great time at the condo located at the resort, Maui Kaanapali Villas. We had a great time at the resort's beach and swimming pool! There is also a restaurant at the resort called Castaway Cafe by the beach. The condo was great with two patios and studio-like layout. The kitchen has some cookware, a microwave, a fridge, cutleries that you can make use of to cook a quick meal, store or warm up the food you bought.The condo also had snorkeling mask/gear, fins, table tennis bat, ball, swimming floats, raft, beach chairs and beach umbrella that we can use! In my opinion, this was the most cost-effective way to spend our 10 days at Maui at an excellent resort during the peak month of July! I would definitely stay here again when I return!
As first-time renter:-
1. Make sure your reservation is confirmed at the Maui Kaanapali Villas by contacting them ahead of your travel. The reasons being - a) This condo is a vacation rental and different units at the resort are managed by different property management and Not the resort b) The property management has to communicate the Vrbo reservation to the resort management and let them know the room number so that you have a smooth check in when you arrive.
2. Keep the unit as clean as possible during your stay. You cannot avail the resort's housekeeping services during your stay.
3. Use the bath towels judiciously or wash them at the resort's laundry room.
4. We didn't know if there was an elevator to our condo. Ask.

We loved staying at the Maui Kaanapali Villas. This bungalow was right next to the parking lot and a short walk to the beach and pools. The beach at this location is the best, not too crowded, great sand. The rental was just what we needed with a small kitchen, bathroom with a big shower and a studio bedroom with a comfortable murphy bed. We ate breakfast and supper on the small patio. Would definitely stay here again.

Great value if you are trying to get a decent place to stay with a kitchen and access to a beach. The location/property has a pool and restaurant and sits on the best beach. Sandy bottom no rocks and clear calm water. The condo location is a little walk from the beach and restaurant and pool. It isn’t easy going back and forth. Overall a great experience for the value!

I couldn’t be happier with the location of this place! Just a short walk to my favorite beach, and a quick drive or trolley ride to other great spots around. 2 really nice pools, one that’s super close to the unit and really quiet. The condo itself was perfect for a couple! Nice kitchen, great big balcony and the bed was so comfortable. Really appreciated all the beach supplies as well that were included. I miss it already and will definitely look for this place when I come back!

The studio was as stated in listing. It is well equipped and comfortable. The entire resort property is comfortable. The Castaway Cafe is located on the property and host's a nice beach side bar as well as full restaurant. The owner was accommodating and very east to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our first time in Maui and it was sooo beautiful and the room was super and nice and well stocked! We really appreciated the Sun chairs, umbrella, boogie board, snorkels, and cooler that came with the room! The beach that this resort is on was also much less crowded than others (and super nice to swim in!) but still a very short walk to whalers Villiage for a sunset dinner, shopping, or walking along the beach walk further down to ululanis shave ice! The double pools here were also super nice! Our only complaint was the loud highway traffic, but we didn’t spend much time in the room so it didn’t really bother us ;) the Kaanapali trolley brought us to and from whalers (for free), and the Maui islander public bus brought us from whalers when we wanted to go down to Lahaina or other town! We didn’t even need a rental car :)

This is a great little studio apartment at the Maui Kaanapali Villas which is an older but very cool resort in Kaanapali, home of the Castaway Café which has a great breakfast as well as a great happy hour. The studio itself is a little dated but feels very Hawaiian and the Murphy bed is really comfortable. Overall, great value!

This is a reasonably priced studio condo in the coveted Kaanapali beach area at MKV. The unit was well supplied, with plenty of cooking and eating utensils, trash bags and dish/dishwasher utensils. There is wonderful, big, walk in shower and excellent WiFi,TV channels and AC. There is a ceiling fan and balcony on two different sides-one with a view of the back lawn and parking lot and the other faces the interior grounds. From the condo straight to the swimming beach it seemed like 5 a minute walk. Walk farther for few minutes on a comfortable boardwalk and you are at the very nice snorkeling reef at Kahekili Beach ( also know as Airport Beach). We would snorkel at the reef and walk back on the boardwalk to play/swim in the water right in front of MKV resortsince the area has less reef near the edge. Though this area has lots of hotels and condos, the stretch of beach and water never seemed crowded. We didn’t use either of the pools, the BBQ’s or the trolley. Parking was easy and we always found a close space without any problem. Some reviewers said they heard traffic noise but we only heard a speeding motorcycle once. The resort trades in wet beach towels for dry ones which was actually more convenient than having limited beach towels in the unit- wet towels don’t dry quickly in Hawaii! The resort staff were cheerful about the trades which was nice. Unfortunately the laundry facilities were closed for repairs but this isn’t something the owners could control. There are restaurants within walking distance along the boardwalk along the beach or at MKV. Foodland and Safeway stores are within about a ten minute drive in one direction and the Times grocery store about the same distance in the other.Honoloa Bay, Slaughterhouse beach, Kapalua Bay, Napili Bay and Fleming beach all seemed about 15 -20 minutes. Lahaina town is about the same depending on traffic.

Great place for the value, especially on such a short-notice trip. Property is as advertised; it's a smaller unit towards the back of the property. No beach view but it's a short walk (about 3 min). The property was very well maintained and very comfortable. The unit also has AC (we live on Oahu and don't have AC, so this was HUGE). Owners were very prompt and responded to my emails almost immediately. There is a halfway decent cafe with a full bar located on a property, although I found their lunch and dinner prices to be quite high (breakfast was good). All in allI would definitely recommend this property.

We were very happy staying here. Condo just as described. Love this location & the beaches with snorkeling in walking distance. Plus free trolley to Ka'anapali. Only drawback is the Banyan building is in back of the complex (which we knew, but did not realize it was close to highway & although you do not see it...you can hear it). But we still would definitely recommend staying here if the price is right. And some Tommy Bahama beach chairs would be nice to have too.

I will definitely stay here again. Best Maui vacation spot in North Kaanapali. Low rise, low key relaxation and best beach location in the area. The owner's Susan and Troy happen to arrive on the property just as I was texting an inquiry about the safe in the unit (which I didn't end up using anyway). Their timing was perfect for resupplying the unit with a new cooler, new beach chairs, new pillows and a few days later a beautiful new couch was delivered. The unit is cleverly designed for comfort and has plenty of room for two people with the Murphy bed up or down. There is a wrap-around porch and two sliders on opposite sides of the room (provides a nice cross-breeze) in addition to the entry door. The kitchen is very well furnished with all the cooking utinsels, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crockpot and dishes needed for cooking in. If you don't feel like cooking in, the beachfront Castaway Cafe on-site serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails (with gluten free options) and the food is quite good. There is a grocery store in walking distance (I would suggest driving if you are doing major provisioning), and several restaurants that are walkable (we walked to dinner and took an Uber back). Maui Kaanapali Villas is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, poolside and beachside. Whale watching from the beach and bar and the owners are the best. Mahalo!

Our stay in Kaanapali was wonderful. The condo had everything we needed and we felt at home. We were provided everything we needed from linens to towels to kitchenware to cutlery! A parking spot was available and the location was perfect. The grounds were clean, safe and accessible. An awesome restaurant Right on the beach that had awesome breakfast. Note: you'll need a car to enjoy all of Kaanapali if staying at this place. Also, this place might be too small for more than two adults but for a couple, it's perfect!
