This is the second year we have stayed in this condo over Thanksgiving weekend. The amenities were as listed, and it was like a "home away from home." We especially liked the "backyard." The view of the golf course and lake was so relaxing and also the extra perk of using the golf course greens as a open space for the family run around. We also took advantage of nearby walks to the stables and beaches. We hope to return next year!

Very very poor air conditioning, carpets really need to be cleaned, came across what looked like a couple of cockroaches, got bitten when asleep almost every night. We had to reset the back screen door all the time. This place is really showing its age and needs more up keep.

We had a great stay! With the sliding doors open, there was a great breeze through out the unit. Swimming pool was literally in front of the unit about 15-20 steps. It was so close, the kids didnt want to go to the beach after the first day. The back had a great view of the pond along the golf course. The dryer needs work, but functions at the delicate setting.
Our stay was too short. We had just started really being relaxed when we had to pack and go.

We pretty well only spent our evenings at the condo. Only disappointment for us was the air conditioning. Whenever I needed anything the owners were prompt to answer. We’ve been to the islands numerous times, but it was our friends first so we tried to get them to see as much as they could.

Great property and location at Turtle bay. Like many reviews air conditioning is not doing well. However, I went in April and it was okay with ceiling fans. Even in the bedroom I didn’t use air conditioning As it was way too loud and makes water noises. I also wish there is Keurig coffee machine. Otherwise everything else was great. No issues with check in. I also recommend food trucks :). Thank you

This condo at Turtle Bay was conveniently located and had lots of amenities. The pool was just steps from the front door. It was in a gated community, so we felt very safe. Before arrival I got a call from the owner letting us know there was an issue with one of the sinks… it was fixed promptly the next day. The owner was very nice with which to communicate and was prompt to return my messages. It was an easy walk or drive to the beach. They provided beach towels and beach gear, which made it convenient for a day at the beach. The condo is located minutes from Polynesian Cultural Center and from food trucks. It is also only about a 30 minute drive to North Shore.
There were two separate bedrooms with king sized beds and each had their own bath. Downstairs, there was plenty of room for all of us to gather and play games or watch television.
If I had to make any negative comments, the A/C unit in the main bedroom did not work very well, however, all of the rooms have a large sliding door with a screen to the outside that we opened. It provided plenty of breeze to cool the room.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Mahalo!

Great location, but the condo is really worn out. The exhaust fan in the upstairs bath has failed and walls in bathroom appear to be moldy. Sink in bathroom was not properly cleaned, tub is either chipped or also not properly cleaned. Bedroom door upstairs needs to be cleaned or painted. Quality of the linens was poor.

We appreciate your attend to the cleanliness and amenities in your unit. For our family of four adults and one 2.5 years old, the unit was just the right fit. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pots and pans, and met our needs. The gas grill on the patio worked well. Bathrooms and linens were fresh and clean.
As we stayed in the unit over Thanksgiving weekend, the weather wasn't an issue and we didn't need the AC units, just ceiling fans. The only problem we experienced with the unit was the bedroom doors rattling at night because of the wind, but wind was really blowing (wind warnings and rain).
The unit's location was convenient and close to the stables and hiking trails. Oh, and an added benefit was the view of the lake on the golf course out the back doors! We would definitely stay again.

The unit is pretty much as described. however it needs a deep cleaning and spruce up. Ceiling fans, vents were covered in dust. The a/c unit in the bedrooms are located in a corner near the floor,, so the a/c blows onto one side of the bed (one person gets air blasted and the other gets no circulating air). Next time we would opt for a unit with central a/c. Otherwise it was as described

The apartment lies in a beautifully arranges estate park. The apartment spreads over 2 floors separating the living and the bedroom areas, has a little terrace towards the golf course and a pool right opposite. The estate park is next to the turtle bay resort hotel and surrounded by a golf course.
There were a few things that didn’t fully meet our expectations.
There are only 2 tiny air conditions in the upstairs bedrooms which are so loud, we couldn’t use them during the night. There is no a/c on the ground floor, but every room had a large vent at the ceiling.
In the kittchen most handles were slightly “fatty” and the equipment did also not match what we found in the previous two weeks. Similar for the bathrooms, which were a lot simpler than the others.
This apartment was priced somewhat below the apartments we rented on the other 2 islands which made the price/quality relation still ok, except for the bad a/c.
At the end of the day you are getting a charming package when you rent with the right expectation. Ours was elevated from the two other apartments we had before.

The location was excellent for what we wanted. The condo was a good size, except for the kitchen. (1person). The air conditioner in the 2 bedrooms did not leave the rooms very cool. The “island” breeze was not enough for the heat and humidity. The fans are tiny and do not go on high. They do not circulate much air. The condo is dated and there were many areas that had a lot of dust and were not maintained. The grill they offer was disgusting! I was unable to use for our food. I thought it was pricey for what we received. Hope this helps.

The owners sent us information about how to get to the property and instructions about gaining access to the resort and the condo. They also sent helpful details about local beaches and amenities. The condo was in a great location and was very well stocked with utensils and more than generous start up supplies. There was ac upstairs in bedrooms but not downstairs which was uncomfortable at times but we were out most of the time so it was not too much of an issue. The only real issue was the cleanliness. This condo really needs a deep cleaning. When you are paying a cleaning fee you expect it to be more than surface clean.

It was just as it showed and stated. Walking distance to several beaches, stables and Turtle Bay resort and golf. Windy and cloudy most of our stay. Recommend you talk with locals and find out the best local places for eating. We did and it was great!

We loved the location of the condo—easy access to great beaches in the area, delicious restaurants at Turtle Bay and the pool is right out your front door. The owners were great to work with and had great recommendations. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.
The condo is spacious and the beach extras were great to have. We contributed a few more boogie boards and a pool noodle. The kitchen is very well stocked which made cooking easier.
The condo is an older building and I thought it would be a bit more updated. It could really use a deep cleaning and a coat of paint. There is no AC on the ground floor and just the bedrooms have units. The unit in the main bedroom is positioned so that the cool air is mostly blocked so it doesn’t cool the room down much at all. It is also super loud, to the point that we couldn’t sleep with it on. Thankfully the nights were cool enough that we left the windows open.

The property and location was excellent. We enjoyed our stay. Heather was an excellent property manager and resolved all our concerns promptly. However, the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom areas left a lot to be desired. There were dead bugs around the kitchen mat which suggested it was not moved to be cleaned. The bathroom tub and showers were still dirty and the shower liners should be replaced after each party leaves. That would only incur a cost of $3-$5. The front door screen should of had a weather strip at the bottom so door could be left open with no worry of little creatures entering. It was evident that the place has not been deep cleaned in some time. Dust on the ceiling fans, stairway, air vents and curtains. We sanitized the kitchen and bathrooms on our arrival and leaving. The bathroom tub and sink in the upstairs hallway was clogged and backed up.. Heather’s husband came right away and solved our problem. We vacuumed halfway through our trip. We did attend to the trash during the month except for the last day because the parking being paved we couldn’t.

This condo was great for our family of 5. All 5 adults fit comfortably in this 2 bedroom condo. Location is in a gated community. Can walk to Kuilima Cove for snorkeling. Condo was quiet. Close to Kahuku Sugar Mill for unique food truck experience. Quick response with any questions we had. If you are looking for a super chill place to stay, this area is a great place for that.

Beautiful location, sunny pool was right out front & gorgeous sunsets right out back. Photos are well represented, however for five adults we had a few issues… parking, cleanliness of the unit, plumbing and closet space were not as anticipated or expected. Unit needs updating!

I had hoped to not leave a negative review of this property as we were so looking forward to stay at Turtle Bay as it was our first time to the Islands. Upon our entry it was clear that the unit was very old and had minimal updates to it. It was dirty such as light fixtures and ceiling fans were coted with dust. The dishwasher and iron were in need of repair. the biggest issue of course was the master bed room, the bed was old and had a cushion cover on it that left my back acing every night. the worst part was we received several small red bites on my legs and arms I had hoped it was not bed bugs as to not ruin our trip but once I came home I did some research and determined it was. I sent an email to the owner with no response so I'm left with leaving them a bad review and being proactive with my home no to bring bed bugs in. I loved their patio where we sat looking at the golf course everyday. I'm am defiantly disappointed and will stay away from using VRBO in the future,

Very recommended/good value as an older, well maintained and freshly updated two-level condo in EXCELLENT community. We would stay here again.

While the condo itself is nice (older style, but new carpet, refurbished baths & kitchen, nice furniture/beds, well-maintained and clean), for us the Turtle Bay community is what made our stay there worthwhile. This condo's location makes it easily walkable to many beaches, numerous hiking trails, 5 diverse restaurants, golf courses, etc. There is a privacy-wall gated, community pool w/pavilion directly in front of this unit with plenty of sun and shade areas and very limited use by others while we were there. The condo is a middle unit, but four large sliding glass screened doors at the fronts and backs of the two levels allow the constant breezes to really pass through the whole unit. Downstairs has 3 areas: kitchen/dining in the front and facing the pool; stairs, W/ D unit & half-bath in the middle; and family room in the back facing the golf course w/two couches & TV, with full-wall mirrors expanding the feel of spaciousness. Upstairs has: one bedroom w/two twin beds & closet in the front; stairs & full-bath (shower/tub) in the middle; and master bedroom w/queen bed, large closet, in-room full bath (stand-up shower) in the back. The kitchen has all full-sized appliances and ample dishes, glasses, silverware, pots & pans, etc. A patio through the back sliding door, and the master bedroom, have excellent views of the golf course. A golf-course pond used as a water-hazard for a few of the golfing holes is directly behind the unit. There are many highly rated pay-use activities available from the Turtle Bay resort on-site. The condo buildings are a good distance from one another and there is little to no traffic noise, making for a nice quite peaceful setting.
Misses:
Only the bedrooms upstairs have (wall-mounted) air conditioner units, but both air conditioners work very well and make for nice sleeping on warmer nights, and the constant breezes blowing through the large sliding doors downstairs keep the downstairs comfortable (but this does place the downstairs temperature at the mercy of the weather). Only a curtain separates the master bath from the master bedroom, which might bother some. The golf course is very close behind the unit, and the lawn mowing crew does show up before daybreak to prepare the greens and bunkers which can give you an early waking when sleeping with the windows open.

I had some problems with noise levels of early morning golf course mowing and weed whacking and midnight sprinklers, but that may be due to preparation for a tournament. Otherwise a lovely unit in a beautiful place.
