Pros: It was a Sweet surprise to receive a goody basket, Key chains and welcoming card. Which i loved thank you! The place looked spacious and comfortable for 10 of us ladies. The beds were comfortable to sleep on. The info given by Lew was very helpful for checking in too.
Cons: Outside metal door handle was loose and fell off when we arrived. We tried to put it back but didn't work. At least the Security door inside worked. The toilet pressure was low so we had to add water almost every time we needed to flush or else it wouldn't go down. The AC unit in the living room was dirty so I went and cleaned it. We did turn in the parking pass forms but never got any parking passes.
Besides all of that we did enjoy our time in Maui. This was still a great place to rest our head after a long day of travel.

Very convenient and comfortable accommodations for family of eight. Enjoyed numerous beaches of southern and western Maui. It was nice to find accessories for our beach outings at the condo. It’s been years since we took a family trip and I took my time booking a condo because it was important that we were all comfortable and the pool area was roomy as we knew we’d spend lots of time there.
Everything was great and better than expected. Condo is roomy and had everything we needed for our 3-day stay. Parking was right outside the unit and the pool is huge and has a shallow area for the kids and deeper area for adults to enjoy and not have the little ones all up on them. We even used the BBQ grill and ping pong tables in the recreation area.
Property is close to the beach/ocean and just a quick trip to the grocery store. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a basket of goodies and wonderful welcome card upon our arrival. Highly recommend!

The property was absolutely perfect! It housed a group of seven adults with fun options for entertainment (pool, foosball, and ping pong). We spent our nights at the pool which was peaceful and big enough for us and other guests to have our own areas! The condo itself is minutes away from the beach where we would walk in the mornings. We had everything we needed, especially supplies for the beach the owner provided (boogie boards, snorkels, surfboard, beach towels). Overall the property was perfect for the seven of us with a peaceful patio porch view and short walk from the beach, thank you!

The location of Kihei is ideally centralized in Maui with the condo at Koa Resort a nice property with a multitude of amenities such as pool, hot tub, bbq, tennis court, table tennis, car washing area, and location across the street from the beach. The beach could be nicer but it's rarely packed and the condo comes well equipped with lots of beach gear. We even left our beach umbrella. The manager owners are really responsive and do what they can including providing a cutting board when needed and a nice assortment of welcome snacks.
The only downsides we experienced was the loss of wifi from Spectrum that was a Kihei wide phenomenon and needing to reset the wifi router a couple of times after Spectrum said it was fixed. The couch and love seat shown in the photographs have seen better times though they are still functional. It would also be nice to have some blinds or drapes between the balcony(lanai) and the living room as the setting sun can shine incredibly intensely as there's no privacy during the day or night as anyone on the outside can look into the condo. Being on the second floor can be a climb if you have elderly in your party but it also limits what people can see inside.
All in all the property was good and near the parking lot making loading and unloading easy. The managers were excellent and very responsive at all times. Given the chance we'd probably stay here again if we came back to visit Maui again and would recommend this unit to others

Overall a perfect property for a family. The inside was very modern and clean. There was a well stocked kitchen, a great balcony to enjoy and beds for everyone.
The condo area had a great spot for BBQ and some games and the pool area was great for the kids. Very quiet area and well maintained. It's location is a good walk away from shops and restaurants so we ended up driving almost everywhere, but it's a very short car ride to everything you need.
Highly recommended for anyone with a larger group or even 2 families!

My family stayed at this location and you really enjoyed it. It is within walking distance to the beach but that beach is very full of coral and rocks. This kind of has an amazing pool and the kids really enjoyed it. The condo was really meant for families which made it ideal for our family. The property is located just across the street from the beaches. There is a great pool area for everyone to enjoy, large enough for adults to be on the deep end and the kids in the shallow with plenty of space in between.
Located 2 minutes down the road from all the amenities you need to get through your vacation. All new appliances, lots of room for food. Air conditioning through out works great, a bit warmer in the loft but still very comfortable on those hot days. Lots of towels for the beach and lots of towels for showers.
Outdoor bbq area was great for grilling all your meat, ping ping and foosball there as well.
We loved the place for a large group and will book it again.

We had a great week long stay with our 5 kids ranging ages 5-19. I was worried everyone might not have enough space but we found there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Ac worked great, everything in bathrooms and kitchen nice and functional. Loved the double shower head upstairs. We loved the beach gear and snacks on arrival. The pool is maybe the best hotel/ condo pool I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely book again! Only downside is slight distance to restaurants/ our favorite beaches but we knew that when we booked.

I don’t know where to begin. The host I guess. He was incredibly kind and really helpful. He went above and beyond in our unique situation even though he didn’t have to. I couldn’t be thankful enough. On to the unit. It was super clean, and exactly as described. It was very well stocked with beach chair and sand toys to all the pots and pans you’d need. Beds were comfy and my two girls (5 and 8) loved the bunk beds. It was more than spacious enough. I really have 0 complaints. Will definitely stay here again if it’s available for our next trip.
The grounds were very well kept and the pool area is perfect. The pool varies from 2’ to 9’ in depth. The hot tub quickly turned into a fantastic meeting spot to make new friends and share our experiences. We had 5 very rare and unfortunate days of rain during our 8 nights stay. But it didn’t slow us down. Pool was open rain or shine. All in all we had a fantastic experience. Thanks Lew!

This property was just what we were hoping for. It was comfortable and easy, and our host was so welcoming. This rental has everything a family might need. We had ages range 12-90 and everyone was comfortable. We did a lot of cooking at home and easily walked to the beach nearby. That big dinner table is so beautiful, but we spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the breezes and gazing at stars. Thank you Lew for an amazing week. ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Kihei. The condo was clean, and well stocked with pans, dishes, etc. We appreciated the use of some beach toys, chairs, and towels that have been left. We enjoyed grilling at the common area of the complex. Lew was very great and easy to communicate with and answered any questions or needs that we had. The parking at the condo was very easy, the one issue we had was that the address given is on Kihei road, but that is not where you go in to park. Maybe I missed that on my instructions to arrive, but the parking is along Kulanihakoi St. This is not a big deal, once you figure it out you know where to go. The beds were comfortable and the a/c fan units were great to keep the air moving and the temp. nice. I would stay at this unit again and would recommend it to friends! Mahalo!

We had great communication with the manager as we arrived for our 10 day stay during a storm without power. We had a heads up as well as candles and a flashlight to help us get settled. There were also other nice touches like a lit Christmas tree, an amazing welcome basket of Hawaiian treats, and all the things we needed for our stay like a cooler, chairs, and beach towels. The cupboard was stocked with seasonings and a great blender! Guests have also left shampoos and such to share. There was a great starter kit for soaps, paper towels, and laundry detergent. There are brand new bbqs to use. The location is great and close. We loved Kihei and all that it had to offer. Found lots of restaurants and things to do, like the Friday town party, shopping, and beaches. We did a run for supplies at Safeway for snacks, breakfast, and a couple of dinners and we were set for poolside or beach side fun and some meals out!
Only recommendation would be to update the welcome binder with best places to visit or see and some bbq tools. Perfect location and so much fun!

My family and several friends stayed for 2 weeks. It's only short 25 minute or so drive from the airport and parking is easy with large a parking lot. We found it to be more or less as it was portrayed in the photos. Clean and ready for us. it was spacious enough and slept us all comfortably. The property manager was easy to work with and responded quickly to inquiries. we had zero hassles. There are beautiful beaches just across the street and the pool makes a great place to chill out at the end of the day. There is a Gazebo with a ping pong table, fooseball table, tables chairs, and BBQ's. We often would make use of the BBQ's and it gave us a great place to visit with some of our other friends that were staying in another unit. It really is a pretty great place that offers a lot of amenities at a great price.

Perfect spot for our family! The property is great with the pool/hot tub and tennis courts, ping pong.. so close to a great beach where we could see sea turtles every day (tip: they blend in with the rock wall!). It was a short 45 minute drive to Lahaina. The owner was very responsive if we had any questions. Highly recommend!

My two sons and their families and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kihei. We loved the location as we could get to a variety of beaches. The first morning when we were all exhausted it was lovely to find that we could walk to a little beach just 10 minutes away and the children could enjoy the ocean in a nice little cove. (Great for the littlest vacationer).
Lew was very helpful and considerate in making our stay enjoyable.
My only suggestion would be that it would be super helpful to have a drying rack or something available (on the lanai?) for towels and bathing suits. We tried to prevent dampness and sand on the floors inside but we had wet bathing suits and damp towels and no place to hang them.

Our family of 8 (husband and myself, 5 kids, and my mom) had a great stay here. The AC worked wonderfully except the upstairs loft — it worked but it was really hard to get it as cool up there as the other rooms (naturally, since heat rises). The lock on the downstairs bathroom door was broken but everything else was in good, working order. There were boogie boards and beach chairs and toys that we really enjoyed using. The pool and hot tub and BBQ were all great on-site! Some of the check-in information was not accurate — I received online instructions about a pool key and other things that were not up to date but the property manager helped us get everything figured out pretty quickly.

This little gem is in an amazing little complex where the grounds offer a beautiful array of flowers! The best thing for our family was each room had its own option for A/C!! This VRBO fairly private as there is a fence around the complex and most amenities are locked up needing the key from your home. The pool was beyond amazing. One side of the pool is 2-3 feet water which a lot of locations don't offer the shallow water option for little children. Perfect for adults to kneel or sit and be completely in the water. The pool then goes under the bridge which goes from 4 feet up to 9 feet deep. Was a great place to take the teens to get used to the snorkel masks rather than heading straight for Salt Water. The VRBO was perfect for our family. Large living room/dining room/kitchen combo. Loft upstairs has a king bed with its own full bathroom. Main floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one room with 4 bunks and crib. Downstairs bathroom does not have a tub, but made it perfect for quick showers for everyone in the shower. Tons of beach towels and bath towels provided. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots/pans/utensils and allowed us to save a ton of money being able to cook full meals for the family! There are three TV's on the main floor- living room and both bedrooms. No TV in the loft, but that was completely fine as we mainly just had Disney on for music and for our 1.5 year old daughter. There is also a cute back patio to sun bath and see the beautiful sunsets off of!! The VRBO also offered lots of swimming/beach toys and boards. Also, it holds tennis rackets with tennis balls, a set of ground shuffle board items which there are two shuffle boards on the backside of the pool. Location wise was perfect for our trip which we pre-planned a Luau in Lahina (30 minute drive) and a snorkeling tour (10 minute drive). There is a 24 hour Safeway about 5 minutes from the place which saved us as we arrived at the VRBO just after midnight. There is a great swap meet location 3 minutes away. Shaved Ice and a great mix of restaurants in downtown are less than 10 minutes to get to anytime of day. There we two beaches within 1/2 mile from the VRBO. The one pictured was amazing. The water didn't get any deeper than 4 feet, calm, warm, had turtles out on the rock walls to go watch from a distance and was mainly all sand. The other beach was beautiful with miles of coast but was a lot more Rocky as was anticipated. We will stay at this VRBO again!!!

The pictures are accurate. Very clean and nice. Our teenagers really appreciated the bunk room with their own tv. As did our mother in law who could enjoy her tv at night in her own room. The kitchen was nice, the stove new and fridge had water and ice. We loved watching you tube videos on the giant tv in the living room, researching activities for our visit. The complex was nice and we grilled twice and the kids swam in the pool. We noticed every morning different people working on the landscaping, it was well maintained and all the common areas were clean. We felt very safe. The beach is across the street and convenient to walk to. The condo is centrally located in Kihei and Safeway was just a few minutes away as are many beaches and other fun places to see. We had no trouble buying groceries and cooking in the condo each day. We would stay again.

The welcome basket and arrival was great. It quickly declined from there. Pull out couch was filthy. Found left over items from previous guests. Kitchen not stocked properly. No beach chairs, we bought our own. No bath mats for the shower. Broken laundry basket for 8 people. Was told not to get the floor wet but there was no swiffer cleaner to clean the floors. Air conditioners were disgusting so we cleaned them ourselves. Vacuum hadn’t been cleaned out. When we did call the response was great but we got sick of asking. Tennis courts and shuffle board equipment was unusable.
Dining table and layout were great for our group. Pool was great for the kids.
A few simple fixes and this could be a good place.

This is an above average location and property in Kihei. We were not that impressed with the condo or the beach area that is close by.
The Condo does have some upgraded technology (wifi, Smart TV, AC) and everything worked as advertised, however seems a bit "lived in" and not as clean as we would have liked. We were able to fit all 8 family members which was appreciated but the building itself is not very modern. The pool and hot tub were ok and the activity room with BBQ's was also decent. I just expected a bit more from a place in Maui. Won't stay here again but don't let that stop you if you want to be in Kihei and not Wailea or Kanapali

My husband, 2 teenage kids and 18 year old nephew stayed in this awesome condo last week. The check in process was seamless, as we were sent the key code the day before, entered upon arrival and we were in! We were greeted with a personal card from Lew the manager, along with a box of Hawaiian treats! We loved the quiet, neighborhood location and easy walking distance to the local beach area, where we saw sea turtles every time we snorkeled! The condo had snorkel gear, boogie boards and a nice, soft sided cooler we used for packing lunches for our road to Hana day. The space was also perfect. My husband and I chose to take the master loft bedroom upstairs, with our own bathroom. The king sized bed and pillows were so comfortable!! Our daughter had her own bedroom and the 2 older boys, who are each 6' 2" fit just fine in the bunk bed room. Lastly, I really enjoyed the Lanai. I naturally woke up every morning before everyone else and would head downstairs, make my Maui Roasters coffee, which handily the condo supplied a coffee grinder, and sat out on the Lanai and enjoyed the beautiful plants and sounds of birds. The whole family felt so at home in this place, and really enjoyed coming "home" to it every night after a day out exploring the island! Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! I cannot recommend this condo enough!

This property was great for our family of 8. We had enough beds for everyone and they were all comfortable. Extra blanket would have been nice but there were none. Kitchen was well stocked with things like coffee filters salt and pepper and utensils. I rated it lower on cleanliness only because of a lot of wet sand in the corners of the bathroom, some hair over the drain and just general spring cleaning needed. But overall a very nice property. Beach across the street was rocky but you could drive to a very nice beach down the road. Thanks Gabe for sharing your home with us.

We loved this unit! We had my family, my mom, and my sister and her husband in the unit and had just enough space. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the condo was homey. The air conditioning worked great! The keycode access was convenient. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The loved the location of the condo! Just across the street and slightly north there are 15+ sea turtles that come up to sleep on the beach each night. We loved walking over in the evenings or early mornings to see them!! We loved the surrounding food including Miso Phat, Coconuts, and Tsunami Burgers.

In a perfect location away from the huge crowds. Condo was perfect for the 10 of us. Everything you will need is there. The pool is a great place to relax. Close to everything. Beach area right across the street. No long lines to eat during the day. Make reservations early for dinner. The after covid rush is on in Hawaii, but Kihei has a 10th of the people the west has. Highly recommend this condo!!!

Thought this place was great! It was comfortable and perfect for a family getaway. We found a few minor things... there is no air conditioning, the pots and pans need to be replaced because they are cast iron and become very hot. Also, the pillows and blankets stored in the couch need to be washed because they didn't smell clean. The upstairs toilet wasn't flushing but we were able to temporarily fix it during our stay. Other than that, both Gabe and Cindy were very accomodating to our needs. Would definitley stay here again!

We just stayed at the unit for 2 weeks in May and had an awesome time! Great location, the kids loved the pool and we used the bbq area a lot (there was 10 of us staying in 2 units).
The pool and bbq area were always quiet and we almost saw no one there. The unit is functional and worked well for us (parents, 2 young girls and in-laws).
We appreciated the unit being so close to the parking lot which made it easy for hauling stuff back and forth from the car. The downside of being so close to the parking lot in the warmer months when all the windows are open, is that you do get a lot of vehicle noise and people talking at all hours of the night (I’m a light sleeper).
We found the fans in the unit worked adequately to keep the place cool. We had other family staying in another unit which was air-conditioned and you do notice the difference but we were never uncomfortable (except for maybe the loft bedroom on occasion).
The shower downstairs could really do with a replacement. The other odd thing was the wood floors in the living room and downstairs bedroom have expanded so much that they are lifting of the floor in some parts. A little annoying as it feels like you walking over little hills all the time. I would really get rid of the wood floors and put down tile. The sofa in living room has to be the most uncomfortable sofa ever! Be warned sitting down too hard on the sofa can lead to a serious bruised bum.
We found the owners to generally be pretty good about responding to emails or phone calls. We never did get a map of Koa resort that we asked for 3 times. And Gabe responded to one of our emails the day we left but otherwise unit information, door access codes and internet codes were received in a timely manner.
All in all we loved the place and would absolutely choose to go back there again.

We stayed here for the entire month of March. Lots of room and we enjoyed being on top floor so we could leave windows and patio door open to catch the breeze. We were a little worried about no air conditioning but we only had two nights that we were to warm and we had two nights where we needed the duvets. We made great use of kitchen and the BBQ's for our crew. The couch is a little bit to be desired but then again we did not come to Maui to sit indoors. We would have loved to eat outside on deck but only four can sit at the table. A larger table and a few more chairs would be a great addition. As for being clean, it was not up to my standards but I am very picky. We did spend some time scrubbing showers and tubs. The vanities and toilets have been upgraded but tub and shower have not and are showing the wear and tear of a vacation rental. If these were addressed I could give this spot a much better review. Location is great for touring the island. The pool was warm and we used it daily for a late afternoon dip and sip. Do try the Indian restaurant across the street. Great food and right on the water to catch the sunset while dinning and for Maui inexpensive. Another great place for sunset dinning is the 5 Palms. A short drive and a little bit more money.
The owner of rental property was easy to deal with and has an on island caretaker.

This condo was perfect for our family of 8. The location was ideal for getting to the activities we had planned all over the island. The condo was just as described and well-equipped. The bunk room worked great for our kids. We loved the use of the boogie boards, sand toys, beach chair, stroller, pack-n-play and plenty of beach towels. The washer and dryer were wonderful after a messy day at the beach.
I would recommend this property for anyone, especially those with little kids. We loved the pool and beautiful grounds. I appreciated this unit's proximity to the parking lot since we had to tote little kids, gear and groceries. It is on the 2nd floor, which wasn't an issue for us but it might be for others. I read complaints that the unit is hot, but we didn't have that issue. It would get a little warm in the afternoon, but the fans cooled everything down into the evening. The kitchen worked well to make our own meals after a trip to Costco at the beginning of our stay.

To preface my family and I have been coming to Maui for many years and love it, this was the first time at the KOA Resort and were very happy with it. We usually stay closer to the Kam beaches but loved the green space and pool at the resort.
We have been using VRBO for many years and this is the first time we've had a negative experience but thought we should share as a VRBO user I appreciate reviews.
The owner seemed like a nice enough person but was impossible to get a hold of, I had a bad feeling when it was two days before we left for Maui and I hadn't received any of the condo information after emails and phone calls. I finally heard from him with apologies that he was travelling. When we arrived the smoke alarm was making a buzzing sound which my uncle had to fix, later we tried to set up the queen bed in the living area. We rented this space because of the description of the sofa "Sleep Sofa or Futons (1) L-shaped sectional converts to queen size bed. Long portion of sectional has hidden compartment that stows bedding, while short section has slider that raises to make L shape a big rectangle." This was a description I took off their site today (Apr 8). As we were trying to set it up we were having troubles so we emailed the owner and called the local contact. We were then informed by the local contact the bed was broken and we asked about the air mattress that was there and were told there was no pump for it, she said she would try and get a pump to us and we never heard from her again. I called the owner as I was quite upset that we now had no bed and rented it needing that space, no call back the entire time we were there.
We also had a scare as during a rainstorm there was a leak through the light fixture in the shower, we again informed the owner via email, no response.
I was very upset that my uncle had to sleep on a mattress on the floor and felt that we were misled and that nobody contacted us at ALL during our stay. I emailed the owner telling him my feelings and asking for a discount due to what had happened. I didn't hear anything back via email. When we returned from our holidays (were on island for another couple of weeks) there was a phone call from the owner wanting to discuss everything, I felt that was fair but it is now April and there has been repeated emails and phone messages and nothing has come of it so I'm giving up and moving on. My suggestion to the owner find someone who can run the rental for you.

We enjoyed our stay in this condo! We had 2 families for a total nine of us and had plenty of room. A great beach was in walking distance, the swimming pool was beautiful, my son loved playing ping pong at the BBQ area. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and plenty of free parking for our 2 cars. We were concerned that there was no air conditioning, but with the extra fans located in the unit we were all comfortable, even upstairs. The only negative about the condo was the location of the smoke detector, when using the dryer the smoke detector would alarm if the doors were not opened to have a breeze flowing through the house, but once we figured this out, we just made sure to use the dryer when there was a nice breeze in the condo. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, we look forward to a return visit!

We spent 10 days here in January/14. The condo was perfect for a family of 4 adults and 3 kids. The unit was exactly as pictured in the listing and had everything we needed for our 10 day stay. The wi-fi was well used with iPods and iPads going at night. The pool was very popular with the kids and adults alike. We met a lot of nice people there and the kids have new friends for life. The owner was easy to deal with from the reservation to check out. Thank you Gabe for allowing us to use your wonderful condo.

I have to admit we fell in love with this place just by reading the owner's overview...we pictured ourselves fitting into their daily program perfectly! This condo was clean, up-to-date, and a comfortable fit for our family of 9 (6 adults, 2 toddlers & an infant). We enjoyed the open concept main living area, the large lanai and the lush tropical landscaping. The owner's comment, "the pool is probably one of the coolest kid pools in Maui" could not be more true!!! Our kids had a blast there! Other conveniences worth noting include the seamless Wi-Fi and in-suite laundry. We were impressed by our dealings with the owner and are already making recommendations to friends about this particular unit.
On a side note, some of the other Koa resident owners came across as unfriendly. At times we felt unwelcome and we were shocked by the rude and disrespectful behaviour of the Koa property manager. However, since our communication with the condo owner was so positive we didn't want our interactions with the other residents to affect our review of this unit. :)
Highlights for us included surfing and paddle boarding at Kalama Beach (be prepared to spot sea turtles) and lazy beach days at Kalepolepo Park (a couple minutes' walk from condo) - perfect for body boarding, whale watching, sunbathing and observing kite boarders! We loved the food and entertainment at the Grand Wailea Luau. We also enjoyed a delicious meal of Mahi mahi and coconut shrimp at Stella Blues Cafe and appreciated the convenience of shopping for groceries and spirits at the local Safeway.

We enjoyed a wonderful month in this condo. The location is excellent, beautiful gardens, walking distance to the ocean and a great pool. At one point there was ourselves, two grown sons, a daughter and husband and three grandbabies and it worked. The kitchen is well supplied, and we really appreciated the extras such as beach chairs, beach toys, boogie board, beach umbrella, pool towels, stroller and playpen. The trade winds kept us relatively cool at night. The bedroom with the bunks is a bit warm but there are extra fans that helped. We were glad to be up a floor so the little ones couldn't just run out into the property. We made use of the barbecues and enjoyed the most amazing freshly caught tuna (our sons went deep fishing with Die Hard). Grocery shopping is near by but a car would be necessary. We did have a little Maui snow (black sediment from the burning of sugar cane) but the swiffer provided cleaned it up quickly. Within walking distance of the condo there is also a "baby beach" that is surrounded by rocks to create a break in the waves and of course lots of other beach to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Other than the downstairs bathroom shower that could use some new caulking the unit was very nice! The owners were very flexible in accommodating our arrival dates and check out time.

This place was beautiful, spacious and clean. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room for us all. The beds were very comfortable and the ceiling fans in both the loft and main bedroom helped keep us cool at night. The kids bedroom was a bit hot for them - especially with four of them in there, but there was another standing fan we were able to bring into the room. The pool was awesome! The grounds were beautiful and the apartment was conveniently close to the beach. The owner was also great to deal with and eager to help us have a great vacation. If we go back to Maui we will definitely stay here again!
