The picture you see of the beach is exactly your view. Its right there! Everything was labeled and by everything I mean the condo has everything you need. Clearly the owners care about your experience and have taken every step to make sure its a great one. You can walk to everything from Kona Reef too. I would for sure use this condo again.

Upgrades are needed however it is easy to overlook the building shortcomings with such a gorgeous location. Right on the ocean and a fence hop to the beach. Idyllic location.

I’ve been coming to Hawaii to visit a couple times a year for over 10 years. I spend most the time on the Hilo side with family. This trip was scheduled as a romantic getaway with my boyfriend. We love the sunsets and dining on the Kona side we will do it again.

Unit was clean. Unit was old and looked as though alot of visitors had passed through. Needed a redo ,especially the lighting. Owners were cool. Nice place overall. Might stay there again but probably not.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! The host’s were so helpful, kindhearted and accommodating. The view from our Lani were breathtaking. Walk to town was easy. Thank you again and will definitely be back! 10 out of 10 starts 💯🤙❤️

Ended up with roaches. Called owner was told must be the ant traps because they are sweet. That has nothing to do with it, it is all of dirty floors and countertops when we got here. The light coming in at night is so bright you need block out shades. There is mold above the shower head, in the bathroom the fan is gross and floor and counter is dirty. The windows in the bedroom do not close enough to block out any noise. All in all it just needs a make over badly. Our first stay no issues other than the light and window. I’m sorry until this is addressed I can’t recommend this property. Spoke to a few other owners and they all just made upgrades, I suggest that you may want to also.

Great location! We loved how easy it was to walk to the beach and walk to downtown. We had a family of four with little ones and were able to all fit. Really appreciated having a high chair and pack and play already there making travel easier for us. We would happily stay here again!

It’s hard to beat a beachfront view! Easy access to restaurants and shopping, when those are necessary, but even better are the opportunities in the surrounding area, from Kona coffee tours to snorkeling with manta rays to exploring the history of the kings of Hawai’i, the place where Captain Cook landed and was killed, and the missionaries built the first church in Hawai’i (it’s still there and in use). So many things to see and do! And the owners here provide all the necessities to do those things and more. Plus, simple things like salt and pepper and other condiments that so many places don’t have are provided by the hosts here. We were impressed, and we are frequent visitors to Hawai’i, so have seen the whole range of places.

Great location of condo, however - the owners apparently have no pride in ownership as this place was pretty dirty. Bathroom has mold on shower ceiling and walls, floor had not been cleaned and base of toilet had urine and pubic hair. The pots and pans and cooking utensils were dirty as if they had not been washed before putting away. We pulled a baking sheet out of cupboard to use one night at dinner and it still had grease all over it from previous use. We washed everything before using it to cook with or eat off of. The place smelled so awful from the mold/mildew that we had to buy plug-ins at Walmart to be able to bear the smell in here. The owners were notified on day two of our stay about a problem I was having with the internet, which was quickly solved, and I then sent email letting them know how dirty the place was. They chose to only respond with "I wish you had notified me when you called about the internet." I DID notify them in that email, which was their chance to do the right thing and send a cleaning crew over, but instead they chose to do nothing. Just as their other negative reviews online, they simply state they wish they'd been notified and would have taken care of it. Nope. They had no intention of doing anything about it or they would have offered that to begin with. All they said was they would address issues with the cleaning crew.
With all that said, I can't recommend staying here and won't be back. Other units in complex much cleaner!

The directions to the condo were exceptional. And I appreciated the early communication with the owner which included Big Island activities. The location of the condo was great for us as well since so much of the eateries etc were very walkable. Mahalo!

This condo was perfect for us. It has an amazing view! It is close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping but far enough away from the crowds. The condo has all the beach equipment you need. The kitchen was well stocked. The tv quit working while we were there and the owners responded immediately. I would definitely recommend this place. The complex was clean and well kept. If you choose to visit this area I highly recommend the manta ray swim as it was the highlight of our trip.

Clean and compact condo with all the beach gear you need! We enjoyed the spectacular view and soothing sound of the ocean every morning! The pool area was refreshing and there were bbq’s available to grill food. Great space for two!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. There were four of us there over the course of 10 days. We also had several other friends in 3 other units at Kona Reef, ours was the best location being on the bottom floor with the beach right off the lanai. We don't typically hang out at the pool on our trips to Hawai'i but found ourselves enjoying the pool here many days. The place was clean, a convenient walk to town, great for sunrise and sunset, and an overall great experience. The king size bed and linens were extremely comfortable. The A/C worked really well and the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed. We ended up losing a beach towel (we think it was stolen off the lanai) and when calling to see how we would go about paying for the replacement, the owners were gracious enough to not hold us responsible for it. They were very sweet and accommodating and we will be back next year if availability presents itself. Maholo for the hospitality!

The condo was quiet. This property has a well stocked kitchen. The bedroom is nice and the bed is comfortable. The furniture was in good shape and comfortable as well. You are steps away from the ocean.

We loved this place! It was perfect for two and well accommodated. We could watch the beautiful sunset from the pool every day, cook at the nice grills, and walk to Kona for lots of shopping and restaurants. We had some challenges with the air and tv when we arrived, and Marty and Paulette were there in 15 mins to quickly resolve everything. Will definitely be back!

We were right next to the beach which is the home of the boogie board. It was awesome because they had their annual boogie board contest. We were fortunate enough to be here during king Kamehameha day and saw the parade. The property was very safe and quiet in the late evening time.

The property is right next to the ocean and right next to the city center. Everything is within a mile if you are walking distance. The place is perfect for a single or couple and we were there for a friend's wedding and our son stayed on the sofa sleeper. Perfect for everyone 👌

We were right next to one of the best parks so able to see the beach and hear the surf and watch the boogie boarders. Good restaurants were only a couple of blocks away. The apartment had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. It was also very quiet while we were there.

The views were incredible and the location was close, but not too close, to many of the ocean side shops, restaurants, and attractions in Kailua. A few things could use some attention: vertical blinds, sliding doors, mirror doors of the closet (some don't slide!)

We really enjoyed our stay! It had great access to a little beach. We enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the waves! The pool and hot tub were great. We really enjoyed all the beach toys they had (boogie boards, beach chairs, snoreling stuff, cooler, and beach towels!) It made it super easy and fun get get right out and enjoy the ocean! It was a short walk to some great restrauts and stores. The whole condow was very thoughtfully stocked and organized and the bed was comfortable. Overall it was fabulous and we'd love to stay again in the future!
The only thing I could recommend would be to fix the screen in the bedroom window as theres a hole between the screen and the wall and it doesn't seal and misquitos kept getting in so we had to close the window.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Everything you need and even things I didn't know I needed was supplied for. Meaning the amenities were all there.
I loved the view from the patio.
The location was prime. You can easily walk north into town and stop at "on the rocks" or "Don Beachcomber" on the way ;). Or you can stroll South to the many snorkel spots and beach access spots.

There is not much else to say, I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to my friends and family.

The condo is exactly as pictured. Paulette and Marty were very responsive. The location is perfect--we walked downtown for breakfast daily! Th "locals" at the public beach were a little too colorful for me at first--but you get used to them! The views of the sunsets were extraordinary. The condo could have been a little cleaner--the shower especially, that is why I gave it a 4. I would stay here again though! Loved having my coffee on the lanai watching the ocean waves and being greeting by the resident chicken!

Great base for exploring the Kona side of the big island, we had tons of beach supplies, convenient parking, and a full kitchen to utilize. The property was quiet and you could literally walk right on to Honl beach or watch the surf from the lanai/living room. Easy to access and and a short walk from some nice restaurants/bars.
