Beautifully finished with excellent quality furnishings and decor. Parking is a bit weird but fine once you figure it out. Gym and pool facilities are excellent and the bicycles were most appreciated. Have stayed at Mauna Lani numerous times, it's an interesting place to explore.

The house was very clean and the instructions for the property were clearly stated. The rooms were great and we had no problem with wifi. The nearby Mau Lani beach club was excellent and we had a blast there. Thanks for such a wonderful stay at your home!!

We had such a lovely time in Sandra’s home. This place has beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, everything one could need for a Hawaiian vacation. The decorations are cute, and the home is very clean. Sandra was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The parking situation that other reviews mention is a non-issue. There is always parking available: the difference between the spots you could get is a 15 second walk versus a 45 second walk. It’s really fine. Book Sandra’s place. There’s no need to stay elsewhere when coming to Kona.

It is a nice, very clean, quiet and well equipped property. We have visited the area many times and this is one of the newer homes we have stayed in. Both of us enjoy walking and we found the distance to the beach, shops, ponds and club very comfortable (did drive to the club a few times). Great for golf - the two Mauni Lani courses are very well maintained (north is the better course but south is "prettier") and easy drives to many other courses that offer great variety. The bikes were a big plus if you want to go on an adventure to Puako and beyond (need to walk with them on some trails).

Our family of four loved staying at this property. A huge bonus was having access to all items you would need for a day at the beach! Plus bikes to cruise down for coffee or smoothies. It was very clean and looked new! Plus very well stocked kitchen and linens. Only small issue is that there are only 2 parking spots right outside the condo so we rarely got a spot there. It wasn’t a big deal for us and we were able to park outside other buildings, but it seems this could be an issue during busy times.

The property is very clean and well stocked. The coffee grinder was missing but they had it replaced the next day. They handled the problem as quickly as possible. A+ on correcting the issue. There were no insects in the house, this can be a problem in Hawaii, great job on cleanliness. The only issue is parking. There are only two parking spaces for the eight units. These spots were almost never open. There were not many visitors while we were there. During high season I don't know where they expect people to park. This is a community problem for all the Kulalani units. Other than parking, this is a wonderful property.

The best place we've stayed on many trips to the island to visit family. It had everything we needed, including a little sewing kit. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved the many pool and beach toys. Super comfy bed. The pool was fantastic. Parking is an issue as there was rarely a spot open next to the unit. We were there when it appeared less than 1/4 of units were occupied. I can't imagine where we would park when the occupancy is normal. Despite that concern, we hope the unit is available when we visit in the fall.

The property was tastefully furnished, comfortable and vey well equipped . I had a problem with the smell from a cleaning product but was able to air it out within a few hours . Really enjoyed my stay and would go back or recommend to friends .

Wonderful condo. The only issue had was parking, there only 2 parking spots outside condo. Twice during 2 week stay we needed to park 2 building away. I have two replaced knees and will have my hip replaced in September.

The décor fits so well with the beach theme. The condo is well appointed with the right set up of furniture and dinnerware. The panty was well supplied and outfitted. The beach toys and pool toys were all in great shape. While the bikes were available, we didn't use them. Parking is a bit tight but we made it work and were seldom forced to park away from the condo unit. Sandra was flexible with our needs and easy to work with and responsive to our emails.

This condo was a great home base for our family of 4 during our Big Island holiday. We loved the peaceful complex and enjoyed the lovely pool area. The adult "quiet" pool was a great benefit. Only complaint: we went to the Fitness center daily and one of the treadmills didn't work. The owner has created a lovely, relaxing space and we were able to enjoy severely meals at home. It was a wonderful holiday.

The accommodations are beautiful and work well for a small family. Everything was in new/excellent condition and the included amenities were more than adequate. The location of the condominium is perfect for do it yourself exploration of many areas of the Big Island. This includes, but is not limited to the Kohala Coast, North Kohala, Kona, Hilo and Puna. If looking to explore Volcanoes National Park, I recommend planning your visit ahead of time because the drive to the park takes approximately two hours via Saddle Road. The gated community includes a beautiful recreation and fitness area that is shared with another nearby community. Our family used it at the beginning of our stay, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, the lock to the area was changed halfway through and we could not obtain a new key. The property manager was notified and she tried very hard to help us. This wasn’t a big deal because other residents of the community helped us gain access to the area (with a little begging). Parking at the condominium wasn’t always available and sometimes we had to park in the visitor lot which is a few buildings away. The private beach is a short five-minute drive from the condominium. It’s a reasonably good area for snorkeling, but not great for swimming without water shoes because the coral and lava rock within a few feet of shore is sometimes hard to spot. Hapuna Beach State Park is a short 10-minute drive from the condominium. It was by far our favorite place to swim, boogie board, sunbathe and build sand castles. For snorkeling, the variety of fish here is minimal, but I still recommend bringing snorkeling gear because it is a treat to view the sea turtles the occasionally swim by. Nearby Kiholo Bay is also a great "off the beaten path" place to observe and photograph sea turtles, but you should have an SUV or other capable vehicle to get there because the road leading to it is very rough in spots. Other favorite activities include horseback riding in Waipi’o Valley, hiking the Kīlauea Iki trail in Volcanoes National Park and snorkeling near the Captain Cook Monument. Sandra, thank you for sharing your vacation home with us! It was nice to take a break from the long New England winter.

Our family of four had a great stay in Kulalani. Sandra has thought of all the little things... bathrobes, detergent and all the "toys" you need for the beach and water. The decor of the place is great - beachie/Hawaiian but not cheeky. Beds were incredibly comfortable! I would highly recommend the place. We were there during Christmas and be forewarned, the restaurants are very hard to get into at that time of year, so plan ahead. We also got a bit tired of driving down to Kona-Kailua for activities, but soon discovered a lot of great things to do near by. Highly recommend Kiholo Bay! Thanks Sandra and family for a great stay!

Our family of four stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out. The townhouse was nicely decorated and incredibly well-equipped from the kitchen to the bedrooms and the bathrooms, with lots of little touches that make it feel like home. And of course all the beach gear was greatly appreciated. We had a small issue locating the property's recreation pool/gym facilities but Robin, the property manager, was very quick to respond and direct us accordingly....it was just a short walk from our unit! The Mauna Lani Beach Club is a short 5 min drive away but our boys (13 & 15 yrs old) preferred boogie boarding at Hapuna beach, about 10-15 minutes drive away. We had a fantastic time exploring the Big Island and loved that we had such a great place to retreat to at the end of each day. Thanks for sharing your wonderful vacation home with us. We hope to come back soon!

Sandra's lovely home is exactly as pictured - gorgeous. It is exceptionally appointed, with everything we would have at our own home - from beach toys and chairs, to the top quality cookware and knives, to the toiletries. We truly could not have asked for anything more. We had the best time and were very comfortable. We cannot wait to return. Mahalo nui loa Sandra!

Rent this home! For beginners, it's well designed, giving you a memorable sense of space and light. We loved the view from the upstairs bedroom, and the master bathroom was huge. The owners provided bicycles, snorkeling equipment, buggy boards, and even some gorgeous beach towels. This, we both thought, was practical and impressive, and certainly beyond the call of duty. The home is in a relatively new development, so we had the lap pool, the swimming pool, and the hot tub to ourselves a couple of nights! You'll love it!
