There will be a paint/spall project commencing on 8/19/2024 until the first half of 2025. All units ending in “02” are currently scheduled to be directly impacted:
8/19 to 9/13/24: use of the ocean facing lanai will limited during the day on weekdays.
9/16 to 10/25/24: use of the north facing lanai will be limited during the day on weekdays.
There will also be noise from the spalling. Based on the experience in the other building last year, noise was only an issue if people stayed in the condo a lot during the day (such as one working remotely).
Rates have been adjusted to compensate the guest for any inconvenience. Rates will be reduced an additional $200/night for days the ocean facing lanai is actually impacted and $100/night for days the north facing lanai is actually impacted (one or the other, not 2 reductions).

Whaler #502 is a two bedroom/two bathroom, ocean front condominium on the fifth floor of the north tower, Tower #1, at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach ... you can stand on the lanai, throw a tennis ball and hit the beach. It is large (1,950 sq. ft. including the wrap around lanai, 1,440 sq. ft. interior), can accommodate up to five people and has the following bedding: King bed - master bedroom, Two Queen beds - second bedroom. There is no sofa bed in the living room for Guest use.

The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, also sometimes referred to as Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach, is a luxury beachfront condominium resort located directly on World-Famous Kaanapali Beach, next to Whalers Village Shopping Center, on the West Coast of Maui between Lahaina and Kapalua. The front desk is managed by Aston, which also manages/rents about one third of the condos. Other units are rented by owners directly to guests.

Our condo, Whaler #502, features central air-conditioning, a washer/dryer in the condo for guest use (many Whaler condos do not have a washer/dryer inside the condo), a fully equipped remodeled kitchen with granite countertops, custom cabinets, Sub-Zero, Bosch and GE appliances, three flat-panel TVs (Samsung 60" TV in the living room and a Sony 46" TV in each bedroom), cable TV, free WI-Fi Internet, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, beach towels at the pool, tennis courts and more.

No pets. No smoking.
Maximum Occupancy: 5 people (children of any age count as a person).
Check-out: 11:00 AM. Check-in: 4:00 PM
Arrival/Departure maid service provided. Additional maid service may be available at additional cost.
Amenity Fee payable to the front desk (plus tax) - $33/night, $35/night effective 4/1/2025.

Additional Information About Rental Rates (requiring a manual adjustment to any booking request):
a) Rates are for a back-to-back booking (an arrival on the day the prior guest departs or departure on the day the next guest arrives) and a 7-night minimum stay, except during the Holiday Season when the rate is for a 14-night minimum stay, as outlined in (c), below. (c) Holiday Season (December 16, 2024, to January 10, 2025): Rates are for a back-to-back booking and a 14-night minimum stay for any reservation that includes any night of the Holiday Season. Otherwise, there will be a manual adjustment to the nightly rate -- see (*) below.
(*) If guest submits a booking request and a manual adjustment is required, as outlined in (a), (b) and/or (c), above, the booking request will be canceled. Host will then make a manual rate adjustment to any such booking and submit a revised quote to Guest for approval.
