A scrupulously clean condo directly across the street from one of the rare sand beaches in the area. On Kona's "main drag" (Ali'i Drive), but not right in the middle of the touristy chaos. Lovely lanai accessible from both the living room and the main bedroom, with a glorious view of beach sunsets. Closet full of anything one would want for a beach or pool day: floats, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, coolers. So nice to not have to pack those items!
The owners were extremely kind and lovely to work with, as well as gracious about accommodating my partner's need for some extra checkout time (he had become ill during our trip). I recommend this location unequivocally!

We loved our stay at Joanne and Randy's condo! It truly was a home away from home and provided everything we could possibly have needed or thought of. We've stayed at the White Sands Village on previous trips and have always enjoyed the property, but this condo was definitely one of our favorites! The convenient location to the elevator and parking spot was incredibly helpful for our group. The beds and other pieces of furniture were very comfortable. The lanai was our favorite spot and was used a lot for early morning breakfast and provided the perfect view for nightly sunset photos! The hosts were very communicative and always ready with answers or helpful info when needed. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and will absolutely look into booking here again in the future! Thank you for everything!

The place was excellent. We loved the location near White Sands Beach. It was close enough to the Downtown Kona area and the Kahaluu Beach Park where we did most of our snorkeling. All amenities that one would expect were provided and things you also my have not have expected. They were beach chairs and boogie boards and coolers. I think the was snorkel gear also but we had our own and did not use theirs. The washer and dryer were a big plus (laundry detergent was provided also). Wi-Fi was excellent. One hiccup with the TV/Cable (The system seemed to reset and took about 10 minutes to work after that. But who goes to Hawaii to watch TV anyways.
The host checked in with us via telephone the second day to make sure everything was satisfactory.

We stayed 3 nights and wished we could’ve stayed more. This cozy apartment is clean, well organized, and stocked with everything a family needs at home and to enjoy the beach. Magic Sands Beach is across the street… small, but pristine. We were in a perfect location to enjoy the Kona Waterfront shops and restaurants to the South, and major sites to the North. And not too far from the airport. Big Island was our big surprise in Hawaii; having traveled to both Kauai and Oahu on this trip, we did not expect to love Big Island the most. But that is largely because Joanne communicated thoroughly and warmly, and made us feel like it was our Hawaii home-away-from-home. We even enjoys sunset views with a nice bottle of Chardonnay that was left for us. Hoping to return someday!

This condo was nice and very clean!
Pros: clean, roomy, nice floor plan, great pool and facilities, good communication from owner, parking, excellent A/C for sleeping, well stocked kitchen and beach gear, easy to locate
Cons: public beach across the street was very loud and crowded during the day which made being in the condo during the day not very relaxing; White Sands Beach parking lot was closed/under construction while we were there, so parking and traffic was heavy on Alii Drive.
Overall, this was a great condo in a really nice complex. If daytime noise doesn't bother you, it is a wonderful place to stay.

We had the best vacation in Kona! We were so sad to be leaving, but know we will be back! All the amenities within Joanne and Randy’s condo was so helpful and useful to us! It truly is a home away from home. We flew into the island when there was a projected tropical storm that would hit that next day. We felt loved and taken care of! One of the shower doors wasn’t sliding and Joanne immediately called a handyman to fix it for us. Ours kids, who are 8 and 5 could not stop saying “Wow!” when we went into the home. To this day, now that we’re back home they still talk about Kona. What a memorable vacation, thank you for sharing your home with us! We would highly recommend this VRBO.

Wow, where to start! We had a bit of trouble finding it because it was dark, but it was worth any angst. It’s close to the airport, close to restaurants, shops, activities, and the beach! The view from the lanai and the front entrance are wonderful, in fact, we even saw a couple of whales from the lanai. As far as the lanai, it is such a delightful sanctuary, complete with table, longe chairs, couch, and drying rack without feeling crowded!
The condo itself was spotlessly clean, in fact the nicest and cleanest I’ve ever rented. It is tastefully decorated and the BEST equipped kitchen possible. It had everything from coffee grinder to water filter pitcher in fridge..
There were plenty of towels, including beach towels, along with plenty of beach toys, chairs, etc.
Thank you JoAnne and Randy for a truly unforgettable stay in Kona!!!
PS, there was even a welcome gift!! Never before have we had this unless we’ve ordered it! Thoughtful hosts!!!

We stayed in this beautiful condo for 4 weeks and enjoyed every minute. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and outfitted with everything we could possibly need. The location is perfect, being close to town and with a wonderful beach right across the road. Unfortunately the construction beside the beach was very noisy and started at 7:00 most days. Hopefully it will be completed by the time we come back in January 2024. We are so happy we found your condo.

I am so happy to have found this little gold mine condo. So many extras make this a home away from home. The beach gear was so useful and appreciated. Like many others have said, it is hard to leave this place when the time comes. I hope to return some day and would definately want to stay here again.

This is a lovely condo with lots of space for a family of 4 ( 2 teenage boys). The second bedroom had 2 separate beds so no one had to sleep on a pull out couch. This was the best equipped kitchen I have seen in all my travel rentals. The pantry and pots and pans, appliances were fantastic and it was a bright and well light kitchen with lots of space to cook and prepare meals. The condo was also well equipped with beach gear such as 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas. This is key as Big Island has the best beaches so day trips were easy with packing a lunch with the cooler they provided. AC worked great and the pool was prefect. It was quiet at night and the location in Kona was close to key places like Green Sand Beach ( 1.5 hours) Volcano National park ( 2 hours) and 2 Step Beach ( 30 minutes). Joanne was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. She recommended a restaurant for my son's 18 birthday, Magic Grill which was great. The parking was easy and covered and right by the elevator making it easy to carry your beach gear and groceries. Also this location was close to the grocery stores as this key with a family. Overall we would recommend this condo to any family travelling to the Big Island.

Quick and short. This is a very well maintained property that we really appreciated having just come from a week at hotel in central Kona. Easy check-in, great unit with everything we needed, the property had beautifully well maintained grounds with flowers fruit trees etc, easy safe parking and a decent ocean view. We didnt have time to use use any of the ammenties on the property but we noticed management maintaining them daily. You do have to be situationallly aware with your curtains/blinds as the units opposite you can see into the master and living room but you have "the :advantage" of being on the top floor so........ One other point to be aware of is IMHO every beach has its own "vibe" Magic Sands is a smaller
"party" beach (licensed drinking allowed) with a volleyball court, bathrooms, shower, picnic tables mixed boulders/sand at the waterline (either more fun or tricky for less experienced boarders and swimmers) , a nice waterfront restaurant/bar (Magic Beach Grill) all of which attracted a younger crowd while we were there. This worked for my family it might not be for everyone. Overall a great value stay, we recommend it and would stay they again if we go back to Kona in the future.

This condo is minutes away from the beach. There is a bike rental just a few feet away and a good restaurant. Note: everything else is further away so plan accordingly if you don't get a car. Also most everything is going to be to the right of the location if you are looking towards the beach. Also bring water shoes for the rocky beaches. But the location was beautiful, the condo was perfect, the pool was great. There is a pool table and tennis court as well. Overall it was an amazing place to stay!

First time to Kona, we picked this place initially for the price, and it turned out to be a lot more than an reasonably affordable location for our stay in Kona. The place is huge 2 bed 2 bath, could easily and comfortably sleep a family of 4. The view of the ocean is great to wake up to. Short drive to the store, across the street from the beach and a restaurant called magic (great food). Host was great, they checked in with me prior to the trip to insure I got the instructions and when we got there to make sure everything was ok.
Would absolutely stay here again for a future trip to Kona!

Our holiday visit to The Big Island turned out perfect for a first time visit to Hawaii for our 14 and 9 year old grandkids. The Kahaluu Bay Condo was the icing on the cake when it came to location, comfort, swimming, beach access, and style. The special touches and amenities were amazing, from snorkel gear a plenty, boogie boards, sand chairs, beach towels, sand toys, books, dvds, a welcome bottle of wine, comfy beds / furniture, stocked kitchen, sunset views, and the list goes on. This place and owners are gems. Communication was awesome and we hope to return soon. Thankyou.

We thoroughly enjoyed our month at Kahaluu Bay condo. The view from the lanai is terrific, and we also loved the proximity to Magic Sands Beach (a storm came in during our last few days there, and the sand disappeared!). We also like the close proximity to the snorkel beach (1.2 miles, and the easy walk but Ali'i drive is quite busy). It's a great base for exploring Volcanoes National Park and all the westside beaches too.

You will not be disappointed if you book this condo. It is super clean, beautifully furnished and well stocked with spices for cooking, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and beach umbrella. We have stayed at 3 different units in this complex and this is the best by far. The owner is really easy to commumicate with and responds very quickly to any questions you may have.

The condo was a good size and decorated nicely with a hawaiian theme. The owners left a welcome card and bottle of wine which was a nice touch. There were all the comforts of home. All the beach equipment we needed. The owners called me before we arrived and after we arrived to check if we needed anything. The location was across the street from the ocean so very convenient. We would recommnend this condo to others.

The condo is extremely well located, steps away from the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Everything you need is included, from the kitchen utensils to the beach toys. The common area near the office is amazing, pool, bbq, outdoor kitchen, shower, table pool, etc. The car parking spot is right next to the elevator and that's a big plus when carrying groceries. Joanne and Randy are the nicest host you can think of, always willing to answer questions and making sure everything is in order. We had an amazing stay and time on Big Island, glad we found this condo! Thank you!

I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful condo! The location is amazing. Across the street from the best sandy beach in the area. A very short drive to a great snorkeling and surfing beach.
As other reviews noted, the owners are incredibly gracious and responsive - they even called just to check and make sure everything was going well, something I have never experienced before with a vacation rental.
The condo was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals - most of which we ate in to save money. We ate on the lovely lanai. The pictures do not do the view from the lanai justice. It overlooks the pool, but also has a partial ocean view. I sat and drank my coffee every morning enjoying the sound of the ocean, the beautiful blue water, and palm trees swaying in the breeze.
I have found many vacation rentals lack sufficient bath and kitchen towels and washcloths and also lack sufficient hangers. Not this rental - plenty of everything we needed!
The condo comes equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy the beach and ocean. We didn’t even need to rent snorkeling gear because they had so much and it was all in great shape. We pretty much just loaded up the great beach chairs (complete with backpack straps, storage compartment for towels and a small drink cooler) and headed over to the beach. Then came back and enjoyed the awesome pool and hot tub in the afternoon and/or evening. Such a great vacation!

This place was perfect location with the beach right down the driveway, and a view from the deck, it had all the things we needed for our family. Pool and hot tub was very nice as well. We even enjoyed the tennis courts

Perfect scores all the way around. Owners had great communication, easy check-in process, very helpful. Beds were comfortable, common areas were great for relaxing with the family. Perfect patio with a great view. Right across the street from Magics and 1 mile from snorkel beach. Unit had everything you need, towels, chairs, umbrella, coolers, snorkel gear, tennis gear, sand toys..... There was nothing we needed/wanted that wasn't already in the unit. Will keep this on our list for future stays.

My husand and I enjoyed nine days at White Sands Village in this Condo. The pictures on the website looked good but we found it better than the pictures. It is a roomy, comfortable place with absolutely everything you need to enjoy your time. Beds, pillows, linens all good! The artwork and the owners' little touches make it especially pleasant.
Location is good, not noisy, met lovely people - all ages- at the pool and right across the street from the best beach in Kona.
Yes, we will go back.

Had a great week in your condo with my wife and 2 daughters age 10 and 12; thank you very much for the bottle of wine that was a nice touch. Everything you need for the beach is here, everthing you need to cook a nice meal was there, the beds were very comfortable, the furnishings were wonderful. All of the photos were exactly as the condo is.
Had all of our meals on the patio with a wonderful view of white sands beach. We really loved the heated pool and the outdoor kitchen area to grill our fish. Dont forget to hit the Keauhou Farmer's Market for fresh local organic produce. Thank you again and we will gladly recommend your condo to our friends and family. I hope to be able to return soon!!

We had a wonderful time at your Condo. The deck was perfect for dinner most night and we used the outside Barbecue area just as much. The beach out front was great to watch the sunsets each night and the surfers during the day. The gentleman that looked after the complex was great to inform us about the Tsunami that hit us March 12th, 2011. We hope to come back again another year.
