My wife and I recently stayed at this property for 5 days (Oct 2023). It turned out to be a fabulous choice and absolutely wonderful experience. The convenience of the location made getting to all of the westside and upcountry locations on our trip super easy! Joni (the Host) was very attentive to all the details and easy to reach during the stay. We found the condo well stocked with everything one could want for beach visits or just hanging out to cook a meal for the evening. Clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious are all words that come to mind. Parking is easy on premise and we were able to walk to the entire Kihei business district without using our rental.
I would recommend this place to anyone and believe it would be great for families as well. Thanks again Joni for a wonderful stay !

We had a great time at the Maui Banyan! It was close to everything and walking distance to most things. Went zip lining and explored pineapple orchard. We managed to pack in a lot in 4 days. The Maui Banyan was central to the afternoon nap since it was so close. I loved having a kitchen to make some meals, since eating out was a bit expensive for all meals. It was a very comfortable stay.

Maui Banyon is a beautiful condo property that has lovely and well maintained gardens, pool, parking lot and is just a short walk to the beach and really good restaurants. The staff that works there are very friendly.
Joni the condo owner has been very responsive from the start to the end of our beautiful stay in Maui.
The bed was comfortable and the showers had nice water flow and I loved the river rock flooring and tiles in the the shower. Plenty of towels. Beach chairs and other beach things are in the storage closet. Check around before you buy anything, Joni keeps things well stocked.
The lanai has great views of the volcano, a natural plant area and slight ocean views with beautiful palm trees.
Maui is a very nice place to visit. Kehei is a great area to stay. I felt very safe there. Lahaina is a great place to visit for shopping and great marina views. Mama’s Fish House was our best dining experience. Taking a guided trip with Alec if you can book him on Maui Jungle Tours is the best way to take the Road To Hana trip.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for part of our honeymoon. The location was spot on, right next to the beach (literally just crossing the road) and walking distance to many food and breakfast spots in Kihei. Loved that they provide towels, umbrellas, chairs and other beach equipment so you don’t have to rent it. From the bedroom balcony you can see all the way up to the mountains on a sunny day. The place was clean and having two bathrooms was a nice extra when getting ready. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful condo with a really cool view of the grounds! Check-in was very easy, no issues. :) Bed was super comfy and everything worked perfectly. The beach chairs and umbrella were a great and handy bonus! Truly a 5 minute walk to the beach. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend.

This is a great Kihei condo for your Maui vacation! The location is perfect as it is close to several beautiful beaches and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condo is updated and equipped with several conveniences like a stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, beach chairs, etc. The owner is very responsive and kind in the event that any questions or issues should arise. Definitely a great choice for your next stay in Maui!

You will feel right at home in this condo. It has all you need to enjoy your time in Maui. The most important things are a comfortable bed and good A/C. This place has both. There are beach chairs and umbrella.

Great condo in a perfect location! Quiet complex across from the best beaches. You’ll awake to singing birds and miss that when you return home. Very comfortable condo. We hardly needed the air conditioning since the ceiling fans did a wonderful job. The two bathroom came in handy compared to many other one bedroom selections.
We look forward to our next visit to this unit. It’s probably the best we’ve had yet in Maui!

The condo was as described. Nicely updated with two bathrooms and a nice sized lanai to enjoy our morning coffees and end of day cheers. Having the supplies like beach chairs and umbrella was very appreciated. Check in and out was smooth and simple. We had a couple of small hickups but nothing serious and Joni was very quick to respond and support. We would highly recommend this condo for your Maui stay. Aloha!

This condo is in a wonderful location, just a quick 3-5 minute walk to the beach. The sunsets were stunning! We found this to be a great jumping off point for our trip to the Road to Hanna and Haleakala as well. The condo was clean, cute, and convenient, and comparable in price, if not cheaper than many hotels. Joni was lovely to work with! We would come back in a heartbeat.

The location and cleanliness of this condo was fantastic and I absolutely wished to give this place a 5/5 rating, however, our last night was a fiasco. Originally I had planned a 4 night stay but 3.5 months before our trip I asked for, received and paid for an additional night. The day of our last night I received a call that the cleaners were at the condo and that the owner was concerned because our stuff was still there (we still had another night). I find it unprofessional to have given that much advance notice and to pay for an additional night to have the owner calling me on my vacation because she had the cleaning crew come on the wrong day and called me accusing me of overstaying at the rental. She then told me I should be fortunate because no one else was scheduled to stay that night (I was scheduled for the night), so in spite of the great location and overall appearance of the condo I am only giving this 3/5. I'm sure this was a one off experience but it is an experience I don't wish on anyone else

The location was close to the airport (20-30 min drive), close to the highway, closer to Mt haleakala than the Kaanapali area. The complex is right across from the beach that actually turned out to be the best for snorkeling. The pool in the complex looked decent and it was easy to find parking spots in the complex. The owner sent us detailed instructions prior to our arrival, and cooler, beach chairs, boogie boards were appreciated! The place was relatively clean, and spacious! The AC worked and the ceiling fans were a plus. We loved that there were 2 bathrooms so we could get ready at the same time, although the spot light above the shower didnt work and the drain was partially blocked (it drained extremely slow). The kitchen had most things. (couldn't find scissors though). The walls would benefit from a fresh coat of paint but i would stay there again.

My husband and I enjoyed our 4th time in Maui and loved Joni's condo. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the lanai was beautiful. Well stocked kitchen accessories (except a kettle, I drink tea) and great appliances. A very comfortable condo and will definitely try and stay there again!

I wish we could have stayed longer! Joni's unit was perfect for me and my fiancé. It can fit about 4-5 people comfortably. The in-unit washer/dryer and second full bathroom were great perks (getting ready was so much faster!). The place is beautifully renovated and stocked with everything you need for an extended stay. It was clean and Joni provides you with all the info you need prior to your trip. You can see the thoughtful details Joni put into the design and amenities for her guests' comfort. There were enough parking spaces available. The first level of the parking deck is mostly owner's only so you're more likely to find spots on the second level and plenty on the third. The location is right in front of the beach. The waves were calm and so clear. It was also within walking distance/short drive to restaurants and stores. There are convenient showers at the beach and in front of the building's entrance. We had a great time and would stay here again.

The Fiance and I really enjoyed our stay here. Literally, the condo is right across the street from the beach, making it super easy to get our sunshine in. Kihei is a nice area with lots of restaurants and easy access to the rest of the island. Joni's unit is in the middle of all the great cafes and walkable distance to coffee shops etc. The drive to Lahaina is not bad and Waimea is a short few minutes away. We found the unit super comfortable with all the necessities you would require. There is AC (super needed in this area), it was clean, and the check-in and check-out process were seamless. The condominium was quiet and had a great pool to use if you want to just sit out and relax. We greatly appreciated the availability of beach chairs and towels easily available. Only minor suggestions would be to include streaming device options and/or a smart tv so travelers can use their own accounts. Nonetheless, not a big deal since you should be spending most of your time in Maui outdoors anyways. Also, Joni did leave nice little packets of toiletries --though accidentally gave us two conditioners instead of shampoo + conditioner. Like I mentioned. Super minute detail. Would gladly stay again. Would say that you do need to take out all of your own trash and guest are requested to start a load of laundry for towels + bedding. Besides the above, all standard procedures. Joni was accommodating to allow us to drop off our bags early. Parking was a breeze in any of the non-reserved spots.

Everything you’d need on your trip is provided like towels, cooler, snorkel, chairs, etc. full kitchen set up. They even have purified water pitcher which came in clutch cuz water is hella expensive on Maui. Super easy check in process and parking was also super easy. Staff on the property was really friendly.

Located perfectly in H Building on the sunny south side away from the noisy parking garage, this unit is well equipped with every imaginable cooking utensil you would want. Also the cupboards have condiments leftover from other renters which is very handy. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkelling equipment, beach towels - this unit has it all. Very nicely decorated with comfortable island furnishings. The bed was sooooo comfortable. Great linens. The owner, Joni, is a breeze to work with. Definitely put this unit on your list. You will not be disappointed. The beach is so close it only takes 5 minutes to walk to. We recommend you try Cafe O'Lei and Cocoanuts restaurants. Excellent food and prices. If you are planning any water sports while in Maui such as standup paddle boarding or snorkelling, try to get out early in the morning as the winds come up in the afternoon. If you want great snorkelling and have a vehicle, we highly recommend Mile Marker 14 on the road to Lahaina. Beautiful coral, lots of turtles. Just be aware that this beach has no lifeguards and no washroom facilities. But if you are looking for a nice quiet spot with lots of sun and shade, this is the place for you. Lots of locals go there so you know it is good.

it was my first time to Maui, my first time using VRBO to rent a condo. and it was perfect. Joni was very helpful at the start of my journey and reassured me about booking with them. the condo was totally stocked with everything a person would need wether it be for eating or going to the beach. the apartment was quite comfortable and homey. since i was staying by myself i felt a little worried but it was totally safe. quick walk to everything you need, Denny's close by beach close by, etc!!! thanks very much for making my first time to Maui the best!! and i look forward to booking again with you:)

This condo is the perfect place to relax. The condo is clean, quiet, and the bed was super comfortable. We would wake to the light by sunrise, crack open the sliding bedroom door to the lanai and listen to the birds every morning. This place has everything you need for your beach trips and is placed between both condo pools if you feel like a cool dip. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The owners were easy to work with and open to suggestions for improvement, although I can't think of any. We will definitely return next year!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this condo & we loved it just as much as the first. Very spacious, bright, airy. Very homey, yet modern. The proximity to the pool & hot tub was great too! Spent every breakfast on the lanai, enjoying the view. The cherry on top is the beach chairs, towels, coolers, boogie boards, & umbrella we were able to bring with us to the beach!

Maui Banyon is my favorite complex on Maui. I love being far away from the Kaanapali tourist crowd and still enjoy perfect beaches, great food and shopping. This condo was great. Some condos in this complex have not seen an upgrade since it was built, but this one has been tastefully done and was very comfortable. We were very comfortable the entire time. (Oh, the elevator in the building did break down for a day, and this unit being on the 4th floor was quite a trek to get to).
This owner also has another unit on the first floor and we will be staying in that one April 2013.

Overall we had a great experience at the Banyan. The condo was very clean and the property was well maintained. The condo had all the extras (snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs, etc) which saved money and made the beach that much better. The only downfall is the long walk to certain units but this one is close to many parking areas and the pool/grill area. I'll be back again.

A quick note to thank you for sharing your condo at the Maui Banyan. I have been to Maui many times and stayed in numerous condos and I have to say I enjoyed your unit more than any other. It is close to the beach and is equipped with everything one could need. I really liked the layout - the master bedroom was done with lots of care and was a great place to rest at night. The two bathrooms was also great for a one bedroom. I can't say enough about how much I liked it.
