Perfect location just feet from the beach. Fabulous views. Well appointed unit with lots of beach and snorkle gear. Very comfortable bed, slept well to the sound of the ocean. Shower is large enough for two. Newer washer and dryer worked well and super convenient. Carpeting needs to be cleaned or preferably replaced with hard surface flooring. Resort property is beautifully landscaped and well cared for. Would definitely stay again.

This place was as advertised... right on the water, comfortable, well equipped. 2nd floor provided good views and good security. Internet and parking were great. AC functioned well (living room only) but was rarely needed. Easy walk to some food spots and the grocery store. Quiet community in general.

I've been renting condos at Papakea for about 20 years. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had! It is clean and comfortable, has good vibes, and is thoughtfully well-stocked. Thank you, Jerry! I hope I can stay at your place again.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Papakea Resort. The room was clean with many extra's to help make our stay fun and especially enjoyed the beach chairs they provided in the unit. It is close to the beach access, has a large grass area next to beach you can relax and watch the surf and turtles swim, 2 pools, shuffle board, corn hole and 12 holes of putt putt golf. On top of it they have Free Lei making on Saturday's and free Mai Tai's Happy Hour on Thusday's from 4 to 5! We met so many people! It close access to the beach walk (which is a 7 mile round trip) that takes you through Whalers Village and the sights next to the beach. The location is close to Blow Hole at Nakalele Point, Honolua Bay and Airport Beach for the best snorkeling! All within 15 minutes away! The weather was fantastic, couldn't ask for better and the sunsets from our patio was amazing! Can't wait to go back!!

When we arrived to check in, we had no reservation. When they did finally figure it out, the room wasn't ready. After 14 hours of travel, delayed flights, baggage woes and rental car issues, how could it go any other way? The owner Jerry was contacted and he got it rectified straight away. Just a mistake. Don't let this deter you from reserving this unit. Great view, the complex has plenty of amenities and activities and Jerry has the place stocked with beach necessities. Walking distance to an ABC and Times grocery is handy. A few minutes drive to Whaler's Village, Kaanapali and Lahaina. We'd stay again.

We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon in Hawaii. It was our first time ever going to Hawaii, and we were instantly blown away. After traveling 12 hours from Boston we were very pleased that the check in process was very easy - just like that of a hotel. The place was very clean, including a spotless refrigerator. Fresh towels, sheets, dish sponges, etc. were stocked for us. We were overjoyed to find that the listing looked exactly like the actual condo - which was exactly why we picked this one. Our goal was ocean front property and this one did not disappoint! We LOVED watching the gorgeous Maui sunsets each night. The pool and hot tub were very clean and fantastic to use at the end of each of our beach days. They were by no means overcrowded, which was wonderful. And the pool house had fun activities each day! We also thoroughly enjoyed the fact that this condo is at the northern end of Kaanapali beach - which quickly became our favorite beach! You can easily walk to the end of the beach walk from the condo (which is especially nice at night!). In addition it was only about 7 minutes to drive to Whalers village and wider portions of Kaanapali beach, which we did frequently. We could not have been more satisfied with our stay and would absolutely LOVE to go back again in the future.

We very much enjoyed our time here. This was our first time in Maui when the whales were on display, and we were blown away with our front row view. The condo footprint is totally sufficient for two people, although the furniture (indoor and our) are looking a little tired.

The condo and the complex were good and watching the whales from the balcony was fantastic. To get to a swimmable beach, we had to drive a couple of miles in each direction. Our biggest disappointment was the $15/day resort fee. Which was not stated in the VRBO listing.

Everything about our stay was exceptional - communication with Jerry was easy and he was very accommodating and quick to reply to all my questions. The location was perfect - not only were the views beautiful, but we were minutes away from everywhere we wanted to go and needed. The condo has everything you need to relax “at home” with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable seating and a spacious lanai, but also included the gear you need to hit the road with coolers, beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. We truly felt at home and look forward to returning! Mahalo!

We love this place. It was equipped with everything you would. The sunsets were amazing. We loved our location the prefect view of the ocean.
There are 2 pools one is heated the other is not. I hope in the future they will add a heater to the other pool.
An ABC store is within walking distance.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to food places and grocery stores. We had an ocean view from our room and saw sea turtles and the most perfect sunset every night. We would definitely go again.

The view from the balcony is amazing! Close to 180° ocean view from the second floor condo. Great views of Lanai and Molokai. I spent hours staring at the waves and sunset. Although there isn’t a beach right there, the beach is just a short walk, just to the left of the grassy area right in front of the condo. The condo had everything we needed including beach chairs and snorkel equipment. It was a quiet spot. Although the furnishings are a bit dated, everything was very comfortable.

We booked this for my parents for our family trip to Hawaii and couldn’t be happier! Gorgeous views, listened to the waves each night going to sleep and they loved coffee on the patio each morning. Their bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything they needed and we loved using the beach supplies each day! We would book this again in a heartbeat!

This condo was beautiful. We never used the AC because the lovely breeze was nice and cool. The ocean right in front sounds wonderful especially at night. If you just want a peaceful vacay, the grocery store is across the street and good swimming beach is just to the left and so a car is not needed if rest and peace are what you want. I would whole heartedly recommend staying here.

We loved this unit. It was clean, the furniture comfortable and appropriate, the appliances terrific, spacious closets, family games, sports gear, even binoculars, and the shower was wonderful!!!BUT the toilet, although modern, was so low it was a child’s toilet. For adults over 5 feet tall it was painful on knees and hips. It was a disaster and unfortunately created a huge strain in our vacation. If that one thing were fixed, this unit would be absolutely perfect!

This condo had a beautiful view and we felt like we were on top of the ocean. The resort parking was fine and we never had problems finding a spot. We grocery shopped right across the street. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. If you are a cook you might find the knives need to be sharpened or replaced. Otherwise the kitchen was easy to use. The bed was new and very comfortable. We slept well. If you are someone who prefers a cooler indoors you will need to run the A/C because it was hot and humid during our week there. But we were able to turn it off at night and keep the breezes flowing through opened windows. Lovely time in Maui and this condo was great.

Condo had everything we needed. It was very spacious. The view from the lanai was gorgeous. The sofa bed was easy to use and the waves at night soothed my sleep. Condo was very clean, with the exception that the shower door had old water stains and towels were rough. This condo was perfect for our stay. The parking was steps way from the building and so were the elevator doors. The facility was well kept. Jerry was a call away and was very helpful. Overall, this condo is great! I highly recommend it.

This is a great location with a close proximity to everything in Kanapali. Groceries and restaurants across the street, short walk to great snorkeling. The condo itself is perfect for 2 people and 1 child. Kitchen is fully stocked and has a washer and dryer. My only complaint would be the pillows, but the king bed is awesome!

This condo was perfect for my husband and I. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed was so comfortable, and the ocean view was spectacular. This condo is a great location with wonderful walking destinations. The waves are right there! And the sounds of the surf are lovely. This rental had beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, and even binoculars. We plan to return. The sunsets were spectacular. Thanks to the owners!

The condo was very nice and had a beautiful view from the balcony. My only complaint was with the resort. There was a parking shortage for three days as they trimmed the monkey trees around the parking lot. We were force to park far from our room and had to lug all of our beach gear quite a distance.We also had to vacate our room for a day while the pest control people sprayed the inside the rooms and outside. The resort posted warnings but it was still inconvenient.

My wife and I loved staying here. The view off of the balcony can be quite stunning especially the sunsets. My wife has stage 4 cancer and I wanted a place directly overlooking the water. This payed off because two of the days she was layed up on the couch but still able to look out on the beauty just outside. The other days when feeling better we were able to experience snorkeling at the reef at Kapalua Bay, The beaches at Kaanapali beach and several other beaches just minutes away. We took one day to go on "The Road to Hana" to experience the forest, waterfalls and beaches on that trip. The condo itself was very comfortable and was well decorated for a Hawaii getaway. We found the bed very comfortable, we had very good sleep at night with the sound of the waves able to be heard from the bedroom through the window by the slider. We enjoyed barbecuing by the pool two of the nights. We ended up eating while sitting on the balcony almost every night instead of restaurants because we enjoyed the sunsets from there so much. I could keep going but but need to wrap this up. I would definitely recommend for people to stay here. Thanks for having such a great place for people like us to experience.
