Perfect for 2 adults. Peaceful. Not crowded. This unit is very close to the ocean. We enjoyed the manmade beach area and pool. The unit is well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies. It was a quick drive to many restaurants.

Very nice apartment for couples. The property is excellent, with a nice BBQ area, cosy "beach" ( sand area with lounge chairs) and a very nice saltwater pool.
The apartment itself is smallish but more than enough for a couple. The lanai is very nice for both breakfast and dinner.

We loved staying on the ocean front amid so many flowers and birds. We enjoyed the two pools, fountain, and ocean waves. The attractive condo complex and gated parking were appreciated. The condo was in good repair and all the appliances worked well. We assume carpet and AC are on their list for routine maintenance as they seemed to be on top of everything else. The WIFI was met all of our needs. There were plenty of towels, the kitchen was well stocked, and the water was hot and strong.

Molly was a great owner to deal with, her response time to any requests was always timely. She kept us up to date on everything especially with COVID around,, even telling us there was a broken drawer she couldn't get the parts to repair in time.. before our stay.. There were no surprises. Truly an amazing host.. The property was wonderful, a great location, right on the water, with 2 pools and its own small beach. The sunset from the property was amazing with a small nightly ritual from a Tennant. The property had all the amenities for a family, couple, group. The condo was a small one bedroom condo, clean. comfortable and perfect for any couple traveling to Kona. Will stay again on our next trip. Mahalo Molly...and Aloha

The complex and location is amazing! Hands down, no regrets. Love the salt water pool. The unit itself is nice, needs a few updates. Broken drawers, broken shower head, and a little outdated. All in all it was worth it.

Molly's place was a perfect location. Close to the action of downtown, but peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Molly was a great host. When we had a slight issue after checking in, she remedied the situation quickly. The saltwater pool was a huge bonus. Parking was never an issue and her home was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities needed if you wanted to cook. We would absolutely stay here again!

The Casa is the perfect location for exploring up and down the west coast, and 134 is the perfect condo for stepping out to the beach, pool and bbq. Nice view from the lanai.

The overall unit was dirty. Every dish had to be washed. The carpet was so dirty we could not walk on it with bare feet. Many things were broken or not hooked up. Blinds had to be left in the open position because the mechanism was broken. (privacy & security issue) There was a tub of water under the sink where the sink was leaking. All TV's cords were not connected to TV's or the outlets. Drawers were broken in kitchen. We were left little to no supplies (TP, paper towels, dish soap, body soap, garbage bags) The cleaning lady came 1 week into our 2-week stay (at night) and even after saying we were there entered into the unit. (security issue) The phone rang daily. When we finally answered it, it was her pharmacy indicating she had a RX ready. When I ask the housekeeping staff, they said the lady lived there. A lot of personal items were there. The internet PW we were given didn't work. The beach towels were old, faded & raggedy. We reported these issues to VRBO but got nowhere. We submitted pictures and called repeatedly. VRBO is totally unresponsive. We paid a premium price and got a disgusting place. Once your in Hawaii, you dont have a lot of choices. I was with the man I loved, and that was all I needed.

We have stayed at Casa de Emdeko for several years and always enjoy returning to this special place. As usual the complex is well kept and clean. This unit is located close to the pavilion and the upper pool was just steps away. Kitchen was well stocked and it was nice having a large fridge with ice-maker. The unit was clean and overall in good condition and we would not hesitate staying here again.

We spent 5 days here and loved it. It was right by the ocean. We saw amazing sunsets and spent an evening sitting in the chairs right next to the rock wall and watching the waves rush onto the rocks. It was so peaceful. There was also a large pool right next to the rock wall. It was so close to the ocean that the occasional wave would spray a bit of water into the pool. There was a smaller pool near the center of the complex.
AC was a huge plus. It was especially nice with all the humidity outside in July. The unit was also very well stocked. It had all the kitchenware one would need and tons of food in the cupboards. The patio outside was a great place to eat our meals.
Though we only communicated via email, our host seemed very friendly. She let us check out later than normal (there were no guests coming the next day), which made packing for the flight so much less stressful.
Highly recommended! We wished we could have stayed longer.

My wife and I just stayed for a week. We absolutely love it there. Molly is the greatest. We cooked about half of our meals there and everything we needed was already there. It is close to everything. The saltwater pool is in the perfect spot and as clean as it gets. The store right out front is an added bonus. There is security guards for what seemed like 24/7. We felt very safe. We can't wait to come back and stay in Molly's place!!! I dont think you can find a better place for the money. Thanks again Molly!!! We left a small beach umbrella and 2 beach mats there for everyone to use. Aloha!!!

We enjoyed the Casa De Emdeko location and facilities. This is our third stay in the complex. We are giving it 4 stars because of the location and complex amenities. This unit is on the north side of the complex and gets direct sun on the patio in the winter. It was very warm in the afternoons but there are roll down shades that help. There is a step to get to the front door and a step from the walkway to the back patio. The air conditioning worked well and there are ceiling fans in all the rooms. The queen size bed was comfortable. Because it is away from Alii Drive it is relatively quiet. The refrigerator has an automatic ice maker. There is no tub (fine by us) and a nicely tiled shower with a grab bar. The kitchen had lots of pots and pans and utensils. It is easy to cook all meals. There are two TVs but only one remote which only worked on the bedroom TV. The decor is dated. The unit was rather dark (low wattage bulbs and missing bulbs), especially the kitchen. There was no password protected internet access for the unit. When we asked about this the owner said that she was between providers and suggested we use another units unprotected access, not cool. Hawaii has bugs and we had large cockroaches come in under the screen door if we left the front door open. We would recommend this unit with some reservations.

This condo has it all! Great location in the complex. Since it is on the ground level you don't have to worry about climbing stairs with your suitcases and it is quick to get to the ocean edge to watch for dolphins. The bbq area is close but yet not to close that you get all the noise from other guests enjoying themselves. The condo itself is so well stocked, it has everything that you need and more. The furniture is very comfortable as is the queen size bed. Communication with Molly was quick and easy as well.

I recently had the chance to go to the Big Island with friends. I had no previous experience there although I travel extensively. What a treat! I loved all the Big Island has to offer with all of its diversity. I especially enjoyed staying at the Casa de Emdeko, unit 134. It was ideally situated in the beautifully groomed grounds. Close to the private beach with an ocean view. It was quiet. The condo was well maintained and appointed and all the people I met there were delightful. Love, love the traditional gathering at the common lanai for drinks and pu pu's to watch the sun set. The condo has two pools, but I must admit I only used the salt water pool situated right on the ocean. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I have stayed at Casa twice- we love the location, amenities, and the beautifully kept grounds. Molly and Jim's unit was perfect for this trip- my husband did the Lavaman Triathlon and we spent a lot of time doing training swims, rides, and runs. Casa is located a convenient distance from great swimming beaches, bike rides, and runs. It was so relaxing! I barely checked work emails the whole trip!

Being on the ground floor makes it so easy to access the pools, bbq and lounge chairs that look out to the ocean. While sitting there we saw many whales and dolphins almost everyday, spectacular!
Breakfast every morning on the deck was so nice, we could see and hear the ocean. A great start to every day.
The condo is very clean and bright, with the condo grounds really well kept.
We did a lot of sight seeing and staying at the Casa made it so easy to do day trips. We are already planning out trip back next year as we loved it so much.
Molly was very easy to contact and replied very quickly to any questions we had. She made our first time in Hawaii and using VRBO so easy.

Casa De Emdeko is my absolutely favorite place to stay on the Big Island. The grounds are so peaceful, beautiful and well maintained. There is a private beach and not one but two pools. I absolutely love to swim in the saltwater pool which is right on the ocean. The Casa is so well situated giving easy access to all the Big Island has to offer and Molly and Jim’s condo is as far as I am concerned is the best placed condo in the complex. It is on the ground floor and just steps to the beach and pools while maintaining privacy. The views are amazing from this condo. It is well appointed and exactly as presented. I have stayed there several times and plan on returning soon. No one could go wrong renting this little piece of paradise.

We had such a wonderful time in Hawaii! Molly and Jim's condo was PERFECT for us! It had everything we needed and is exactly as is described on this website. We actually didn’t spend a ton of time at the condo because we were out and about hiking or snorkeling every day, but it was a great place to come ‘home’ to and relax.
The sunsets were awesome. I loved hanging out by the saltwater pool reading too. I would definitely rent from Molly and Jim again!

I have spent a number of Thanksgivings in this condo - it is very well appointed, has everything you could possibly need. But the best thing is its location - there is the most amazing ocean view from the lanai, as well as the kitchen and living room due to the huge wall sized mirror! I loved being on the ground floor - it's just steps to the beach and pool, and so convenient. The property itself is gorgeous, and is very private - while this unit is very close to the beach and water, you absolutely feel its privacy. Having the beach right there that is only available to guests is wonderful - no crowded, tourist filled beaches for me!! The saltwater pool right on the edge of the ocean is just something else, and at night if you lean on the railing you can feed the eels!! They even have a white owl that flys by above the palm-tree tops several nights! It is safe, quiet and very enjoyable. Our first year we made several friends there, and we have come back for 7 years now. It seems like there are a lot of owners around and they are so happy to help, give suggestions, and share cocktails at sunset! I love Molly and Jim's condo - it is truly paradise!!
