The apartment is very clean and well equipped with beach essentials (umbrella, towels, chairs, snorkels, beach racket ball etc), kitchen is spotless; washer is a bit tricky at first to figure out if it is running or not but you’ll get it quickly. King size bed is comfortable. There is a welcoming basket with different types of snacks, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, popcorns, etc. and also a nice bath soap which we liked. The terrace view is beautiful with pool, palm trees and ocean, and the sunrise over the mountains is the best. Barb’s instruction for checkin has all the details you need. The beach across street (Kamaole II) is very convenient as it is only several minutes walking from the building in which the apartment is located , there no need to drive and find a parking spot if you simply want to relax on a nice beach. We truely enjoyed the apartment and would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this Maui Banyan rental. Everything was as described. Very clean and conveniently located. Lots of things to do in walking distance. Lovely views of both the mountains and the ocean, and also the pool. I only have one negative thing to say, and it's only that the adjoining studio room next to ours (which would be great if it were being occupied by someone in your own party) has very thin walls separating the 2 rooms. You can hear everything in that room as if it's in your own room, whether it be conversations, or the TV, etc. We had to be very quiet while in the living area of the condo,or else we would get a knock on the connecting door complaining of us talking too loud. We weren't in the room during the bulk of the day, so it was only an issue in the mornings and evenings. Other than that, I have never stayed at a vrbo before where they provided as many trash bags, laundry soap pellets, fabric softener sheets, dish washing pellets, or toilet paper, than this condo. They are very generous, and Barb was a pleasure to work with!

This condo was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind after celebrating my partners college graduation. The location was perfect; plenty of amazing local restaurants and stunning beaches within walking distance (or a 5-15 min drive). The condo itself was extremely clean, check-in and check-out were easy, the appliances worked well and were convenient, and the condo itself was beautiful (especially the view!) Barb was great with communication. We were luckily able to speak with her in person just as we had arrived. The gift basket she put together was much appreciated after our long travel from Buffalo, NY. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy and explore Kihei and the surrounding areas!

The first part of our vacation went fairly well. Small problem with ice maker in fridge but our host fixed it right away. The unit was beautiful and had lots of beach toys and chairs. Unfortunately the fire in Lahaina happened and our flight was cancelled and we had to scramble to find 2 more nights of accommodation. Our host helped letting us stay one more night and luckily we found another unit in the building for the last night. I would recommend this unit as it had a great view of the pool and ocean.

This property was very well maintained. Very clean and organized. The property manager Barb communicated very well. Great location to walk to beaches and restaurants. The unit had views of the ocean and was completely self contained with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and large lanai with a table and chairs. Once again our 10 night stay here was I forgettable. We have been coming back to this very condo for years, and it doesn’t disappoint us ever. Barb is fantastic to deal with, quick to reply, even when she is on vacation!
The location is the best, about 100 steps to the beach, with restaurants and shops within walking distance as well. The condo is stocked with all the beach toys you’d need for a fun filled day at the beach.
We love to spend our vacation here, and can’t wait for our next visit.

We loved staying here!. It was beautiful, modern and clean, had a well stocked kitchen, and the pull out sofa bed was comfortable for our teen daughter. Barb was very responsive to any questions we had and the welcome basket and Christmas decor she arranged was a lovely treat after our long journey from Canada a few days before the holidays. We enjoyed being just steps away from the Kam 2 beach where our family had fun boggie boarding on the waves, and Wailea beaches were only 10-15 minute drive away. It was great having lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance or a short drive away.
Perfect location to do a variety of day trips, including the marina (if going on a snorkeling trip to Molokini crater) and our day trip along the Road to Hana.
We loved seeing the morning sunrise and evening sunsets from the lanai too!

This unit is in one of the better locations in the Banyan. We have stayed at a number of units in the complex and like the location of this unit. Barb the property manager is totally on it, you need anything she is so quick to respond. Plus it was so nice and thoughtful that she left a welcome basket. The unit itself is not as fancy as SOME of the other banyan units but it is clean, has all the extras you need and the location is great (There is a large range in updates throughout the units in the development). Beach chairs galore, boogie boards, snorkels, sand toys and so much more. The patio is one of the larger style patios (not small like some that are in the H building). Located steps to a gorgeous beach great for kids, snorkeling and swimming, restaurants and walking distance to Wailea. We rent a car but walk most places in the area it is very walkable. We will be staying again and enjoyed our time! Thank you Barb :)

We had a lovely experience during our stay. We were very comfortable and it’s in a great location right across from Kam 2 beach. We enjoyed the view from the lanai each morning and the jacuzzi in the pool area at night. Although we dined out during our short stay, if we had been there longer we would have taken advantage of the many bbq grills available in the pool area.
We had everything we needed, including beach chairs, towels and a well stocked welcome basket. Communication with Barb was easy and always met with a quick response.

Being so close to our favourite beach for swimming and snorkelling was perfect. The condo has everything you’d need so that you can travel with carry on luggage only.
We also enjoyed the convenience of being near places like Maui Thai Bistro, Moons natural foods and all of the other shopping nearby.
The pool and the grounds are impeccable and my kids loved getting off the beach in the late afternoon to have a swim.

This lovely condo was perfect for our family of 4! Wonderful location- steps from Kamaole Beach 2 (lifeguard, soft sand, good snorkelling). My favorite part was the spacious lanai with incredible views of the gardens, mountains, and ocean, plus huge windows. Every item we could need (tupperware, BBQ tools, all beach supplies, small cooler) was provided and was in great condition. So helpful to have in house washer/dryer and dishwasher. Exactly what we needed post pandemic! I’ve missed this condo so much, the moment we got there, I was already booking for next year! And good thing I did, it’s usually booked up at least a year in advance…and that right there says it all, it’s booked up because it’s by far the best condo in South Kihei. The location is perfect, it’s steps away from the beach, restaurants, shops, nightlife. The condo is equipped with everything you need for a day filled day at the beach, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything for your cooking needs.
Barb is amazing to deal with, she is there if you need anything at all. I can’t wait to come back next year!

We loved staying at this place. Location was good. You can easily walk to a beach. You may also see the beach from the balcony. The check-in process was very clear. The host sent us a very detailed instruction.
There were plenty of parking in the structure and it was close to the building.
Everything was perfect until the very last night. A big cockroach with wings came out. It flew over my husband's head and we both freaked out. We couldn't find it to kill it we were so freaked out. Other than that, the place was perfect.

This was great choice for our stay at Maui Banyan. The unit was very clean and comfortable with nice mountain and water views from the lanai. Close enough to hear the ocean at night which made for great sleeping with the windows open. Location in the G building made the beach and pool very accessible. We've stayed in different units at Maui Banyan and this was easily the best experience. Communication with Barb (owner/host) was excellent and she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. A great vacation and a wonderful VRBO experience. We went for our honeymoon. The condo was perfect! You are just a few hundred yards from the most beautiful scenic ocean views you'll ever see. You can walk to many local restaurants and sports bar in the area. Parks and places to hang out. Or grab some snorkeling gear the property provides and venture out to the coral reefs right off the shoreline. We swam with turtles on many occasions. This property is settled into a quite condo community. You will not find a better location than this one. Not too busy or flooded with tourist like some places in Hawaii. Barb is the best property manager I've ever worked with!! She made our stay even that much more special by adding flowers, local fruit,chocolates and a bottle of champagne upon our arrival. This was requested by myself and I wasn't sure if it was even possible. I gave her an idea of what I wanted to spend and she made it happen. If your on the fence look no further..

Barb was very responsible and great to work with.. Only negative is connecting room. If you don't rent as a 2 bedroom that room gets rented out and you can hear them very clear in the kitchen area. Not a deal breaker and I would still stay here again.

Nearly everything about our stay was lovely. The pros: We enjoy Maui Banyan, the property and location, in general. The unit was nice, had everything we needed. Barb was helpful and extremely to communicate with.
Cons: I am a bit picky so I felt like it could use a bit less decor/furnishings/ tchotchkes. Some of it is nice but most of it just gets in the way. Also, while still usable, some of the kitchen gear and some aspects of the bathroom area (shower mostly) are starting to show their age/wear. I know my cleaning standard is higher than most people but it's still something I felt important to comment on since the reason we opt for a vacation rental is to be able to cook our own food and feel "more at home" than at a hotel.

We rented the 1 bedroom and adjoining studio for our Maui vacation. From the very start when I reached out to Barb she communicated timely, clearly and made the process so easy! Upon our arrival we felt so welcomed finding the baskets of goodies in our rooms! We enjoyed the coffee each morning on our lanai enjoying the ocean view and the pineapple, chips and snacks were all great too! Our 2 daughters are 19 and 13 years old and they loved that they had they’re own room & bathroom in the studio! The condo had everything we needed to spend time at the beach from towels, umbrellas and boogie boards! We ate breakfast every morning at the condo and cooked a few times at dinner, all the essentials from pots, pans, and dishes were all available and made it so easy for us! The AC in the living room and 2 rooms were also a plus, kept us cool after a long day out enjoying the island! We enjoyed our stay and definitely would book at The Stine Ohana Hale again! Where do I begin to describe the best vacation ever?!
First of all, the condo is super nice, very spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Let me add that the condo has been very nicely remodeled which sometimes can be a challenge to find. Spacious balcony was perfect for morning coffee while watching the ocean. The complex also has a parking garage, pools, grilling areas... So, you are all set here!
Second, the location - Kihei has a lot to offer, from easy going farmers markets and cafes to fabulous shopping mall in Wailea and nice restaurants. You are also only a 25 minute drive from Costco if you have a big family and prefer to cook as well as only a 5 minute drive to Safeway and other grocery stores in the area. Also a quick drive to get to some of the best hiking areas and the Ocean Center.
The beach! My favorite! Kamaole Park II - just a perfect place especially for the little ones and it's only a 2 minuter walk from the condo! Sunsets here are incredible as well! Many people come to the beach to enjoy the view.
The last but not least - communication and quick response from the owners and Barb made us feel welcome and taken care of. Wonderful people who really care and want you to have an amazing time.
When I plan my next visit I am definitely coming here again! Best time ever!

Located across the street from Kam 2 beach allowed for easy strolls and viewing of wonderful evening sunsets after dinner. Many amenities made the stay very nice. kitchen was adequately supplied. The couch bed felt like a high quality normal bed which we have never experienced before. We also used the twin sized fold out bed which was comfortable for our adult daughter. When the listing says sleeps 7 it truly does. Barb the manager was very attentive. If I returned to Maui I would want to stay here again. P.S. The snorkeling at the park across the street is top notch. We saw tons of marine life each time including sea turtles.

We got into Maui jumped into the car and follow the instructions that Barb sent us by email. We got to the condo, entered our code and walked in and were greeted by a spectacular view outside... from Haleakala to the Ocean, a lovely facility internally and a welcome basket that we enjoyed tremendously. The condo is situated in a very nice location on the premises and is probably one of the best buildings in the entire development as it's the closest walk to the ocean from the larger buildings, easy access to the garage and it's got a really nice Southwest facing location. The condos internal fit and finish was excellent and all the major appliances and anything you need to cook a gourmet meal or enjoy sports in the water were available . The bed was comfortable, TV was great, the Lanai was perfect.... we ate just about all our meals outside on the balcony. This is an excellent unit for two people, never needed the air conditioning as the breeze at night was perfect. If there were a couple of things that could be improved it would be having a designated parking spot so you're not going from Level 1 to 2 to 3 hunting for a parking spot. If you're not an early morning riser, it could be a surprise to you because pool maintenance and BBQ cleaning start at about 6:15 in the morning. The front desk will not support any questions that you ask because you're not part of Aston Hotel and resorts which is their system. My wife and I are already thinking of next year and this facility is on our radar. We would definitely recommend this condo to any couple wanting a great time on a great Island.

Our family of 7 spent 8 nights in this beautiful condo. The home was clean, updated, and very well equipped with snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, and pretty much everything else you could hope for...even martini glasses (thanks Barb)! The beds were all very comfortable and we were pleased to be just a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach, stores, and wonderful restaurants. Barb was exceptionally accommodating and even emailed to warn us of some crazy weather on the island! The barbecue and pool area provided a perfect paradise to end each day. Early morning coffee an the lanai was breathtaking with gorgeous ocean views, beautiful rainbows and comfortable outdoor furniture. The pictures don't do the views justice! We couldn't have asked for anything more, and can't wait to return to the beautiful Stine Ohana Hale at Maui Banyan! Mahalo for allowing us to experience your piece of paradise!

We recently stayed in this wonderful condo for two weeks. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. The condo is on the top floor of the "G" building at Maui Banyan, close to the elevator, nicely updated, and the two lanais have wonderful views of the pool, ocean (the pictures don't do it justice), and Haleakala. It was spotless (and I'm an admitted clean freak), the beds were comfortable, and there was just about everything you could need on hand. Barb, the manager, had left a wonderful welcome gift, which was most appreciated by us weary travelers. Don't think you have to bring or buy things like coolers, music, books, snorkel gear, picnic stuff, boogie boards,etc----check out what the condo has available. We always stuck a cooler with ice in our car when we ventured out for a road trip, and it came in handy when we shopped at various spots in Maui.
A few things you might like to know if you are considering Kihei and Maui Banyan: Kihei is a great central location in Maui, close to Wailea but without the pretense. There are lots of condos, but we found the condo at Maui Banyan to be perfect for us. The G building is set back from S. Kihei Road just enough (one building back) to keep the noise level to a minimum, but cross the street and you're in the middle of Kam II Beach. Kihei is an up and coming location, and we found enough great restaurants to keep us happy within an easy walk (hint: Coconut's for macadamia pancakes with coconut syrup; Cafe O'Lei for short ribs; and check out the shave ice and coffee just down the road!). We were happy to cook in our own kitchen, but also happy to walk to dinner without needing a car.
We enjoyed Maui very much, especially the Old Lahaina luau, Lahaina for shopping, the Maui Brewery (do go for live entertainment and food trucks as well as brews!), Ocean distillery, the Road to Hana (not for the faint of heart and do get the Gypsy app!), Mill House Plantation, Mana Foods in Paia (think Whole Foods, Hawaiian style), the many wonderful food trucks, and skip the produce in the grocery stores and head to UpCountry for the farmer's market. We found we ate healthier on our vacation than we do at home!
Barb, the property manager, was attentive and responsive to any questions we had from the time we expressed an interest in the condo until after we left. We had no issues at all, and would highly recommend the condo to couples and families. We loved our stay and hope to return!

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maui Banyan. The location was very convenient and close to all the amenities. It was great having the beach a short walk away.
The suite was recently updated and well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there was pretty much everything you'd need for a day at the beach. We would definitely consider staying again for our next trip to Maui.

This was one of the nicest condo's we have stayed at, Very clean and a beautiful kitchen. You have it equipped with all our beach needs, chairs, umbrella's, boogie boards, snorkel gear, coolers, beach blanket, kids sand toys. You thought of it all. Close to the beach (right across the street) Close to stores, restaurants, parking garage, the staff was helpful with all our needs. The swimming pool was perfect. We were very impressed on how every morning the staff was cleaning the pool and surrounding area including the barbecue grills. We plan on coming back, Thank you for the fruit bowl and coffee, my grandson loved the extra goodies you left ( he felt for him.) We Loved it!

The condo was perfect in every way. Everything was well thought out and the facilities were excellent. The condo was well stocked with everything you could possibly need from pots and pans, body boards, to hair straighteners. The welcome pack was a nice touch. Couldn't have asked for a better place, right by beach with great views from the balconies. Excellent, friendly service from the hosts.

The moment we entered the condo, we were blown away on how the place looked. It was so clean n feel so welcoming that we spend half of our stay inside the condo. I would definitely stay there again. Our family of six (19yo, 8yo, 3yo and 2yo) stayed here for our vacation. The accommodations were perfect for everyone! We were all able to sleep comfortably within the beds provided. The kitchen was awesome!! Totally updated and had all the utensils and kitchen ware needed. Plenty of beach toys for the kids and snorkel gear available! Easy walk to Kam 2 (the beach), and full view of the pool where our kids enjoyed swimming and we BBQing tons of meals on the grill! The pool was awesome! The view of the sunset from the lanai was breathtaking! The condo was a short drive away from Wailea which was nice as we had family staying there. The only thing I would've liked better would've been the dresser space. We had to keep some clothing in suitcases. But that's a small and manageable issue. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will look to book here again when we return!!

We had a great experience in this unit. It is located in Kihei which is a great little town in Maui to base all of your activities from. It is slower paced in Kihei than Lahaina and just as beautiful. It also puts you closer to Hana and Wailea. This particular unit is placed in a great condo complex with beautiful gardens to walk in an awesome pool and grilling apparatus you can use whenever you want. The owner of this condo was born to manage a condo! Everything is newly updated and refurbished in this condo. There is a new water heater I noticed the microwave and range and kitchen is all brand new and the decorative feel of the place makes you feel like this is the condo you wish your kids grew up knowing. They have organic soaps plenty of towels and comfy beds to rest in. Plenty of air conditioning I had to turn the AC down a few times because I felt too cold. Our kids loved the little plates shaped like Hawaiian shirts. Smart TVs in every room we loved watching the Olympics together while our kids watched in the other room and vice versa. We had one small snafu with the washing machine and to our delight this condo manager offered to show up on a dime take our clothes wash and dry them for us. With any other condo we might have passed on the generous offer but we felt so comfortable with this condo manager we took her up on it. We never got a chance to meet her face-to-face but felt like we knew her the whole time we were here. Reviews on the Lanai are awesome it is on the top floor and you can see a big portion of Haleakala as well as the island of Lanai. Ha, that's funny we can see Lanai from our Lanai. The pool is warm and we see grounds crew cleaning them everyday. It is also kid friendly. We found in our research that almost all of the other condos have strict rules with kids allowing no toys in the pool and basically creating an environment that seems oppressive to kids. This environment was great for our kids. Of course we wanted to be respectful and my kids are always respectful and we did our best to honor other condo owners without kids. They also have beach chairs and everything else you need to take to the beach like snorkel gear boogie boards kids toys paddle ball a water ball and an umbrella. Great thanks to you Barb for making our stay such a joy. To any prospective occupants out there, save yourself the time and energy and just book this condo right now. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
