My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and this condo did not disappoint! When we arrived it was 9:00pm so we had no idea how amazing the views would be. Waking up the next morning was like Christmas and watching the sunrise was such an amazing experience and it never got old! Aside from the views, the condo was well appointed with classic but simple decor and all the things you would need for an extended stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed and sheets are super comfortable and there are plenty of coolers and beach equipment. The walk down to the beach was such a treat with amazing views all the way down. Our ONLY complaint is that it would get really warm at night. I woke up hot in the middle of the night almost every night. Windows that opened or an air condition unit in the bedroom would be so great. Even with this one downside, I would not hesitate to stay here again and do plan on coming back! It’s a gem!

Stunning views from all rooms! Location is easy to travel around the north shore. Washer/dryer in unit was so convenient. Snorkel gear was not full sets, so just plan accordingly. Can't beat sitting out on the patio!

The pictures you see on the listing are accurate! This place was amazing! It's a corner first-floor condo looking west and north with a fantastic view and gorgeous sunsets. It was immaculately clean, and the Remax people that run it for the owners were very responsive. It's a short 10-15 minute drive to Hanalei where you can find everything you need. Don't hesitate to book this place! If/when we come back to Kauai, we'll hope to stay here again!

We love Kauai! Your place was great. The hike down to Hideaways Beach is a little strenuous, especially when rainy and slippery! Also, we loved the wildlife everywhere, except for the two large Centipedes that visited us… One crawled out from under the bed, and the other was lounging in the shower curtain! The Geckos were awesome but I think these Centidpedes were too big for them to eat… LOL

This condo was so perfect! We had the best view from the lanai, perfect location close to all kinds of shopping and restaurants and grocery stores and beaches. The condo was extremely spacious and had everything you could need. The washer and dryer in unit was a life saver and we absolutely would love to stay here again!

The property is very nice. While older it is in great shape and very clean. The view is simply awesome. The only negative is the noise from upstairs. You hear every move of furniture, run of plumbing, even basic conversation. We used the two portable fans to create some white noise.

"Perfect" almost describes the setting and condition of this condominium. You can tell that the owner spends time there and takes great pride in the maintenance and appearance. There was nothing wrong or lacking with the property itself.
The only negative is not with the property but the 3rd party property manager, which seemed to add unnecessary complexity, cost and confusion to the process.

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. The view was even better than it looked in the photos and has to be one of the best views on the island. The location was great with Hanalei town being a very short drive away.
While there was no A/C, this wasn't an issue for us since we stayed in December and with all the windows & fans + the ocean breeze. The bed was very comfortable and the appliances were all updated too.
There were several families of nenes (Hawaiian geese) that lived around the garden and would frequently join us on the balcony which was entertaining (though they did poop all over the grass and would occasionally swarm the balcony while we were relaxing, LOL).
Only disappointment was that the hot tub was only open until 9pm (gate physically locks thereafter). Oh, and the handheld vacuum needs to be cleaned out so the bugs don't escape!
Sadly there was no pen we could find in the condo to sign the guestbook, but we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return again! PS - For anyone looking for an exquisite meal... we absolutely loved our kaiseki dinner at 'Aina Kaua'i in Kapa'a.

As everyone else has noted, the location and view is the whole deal here. We’ve stayed at Puu Poa as well as Pali Ke Kua, and in many ways prefer PKK, especially #118. The size is perfect for a couple — bedroom, bath, and common areas are all just right, and though some reviews noted that the furniture wasn’t that comfy, we found it fine for the times we were inside. You’re there to be outside, and the lanai and grass area are more than ample for outside living.
The kitchen is a fairly tight space, but we weren’t there for extended team cooking — and it was well-equipped as others have noted. They even have a blender that worked perfectly for morning smoothies! The cooking utensils are ok, not great, but they worked well enough for our meals. And also of note — there are two charcoal grill pits located almost at the end of the beach path. Just get some MatchLight or other fuel at the Ace or Foodland in Princeville (or at Walmart or Safeway in Lihue) and you’re all set. Just know that the path is no joke — well-paved but super steep for my older knees ;) No real BBQ tools in the kitchen but a serving fork worked in a pinch.
Also as noted, in PKK you can hear everything the upstairs neighbors are doing if you’re on the ground floor. This was really only an issue for us with the first set of upstairs guests during our stay, who seemed to relish stomping around a lot. More reason to spend time enjoying the views, surf sound and resident nenes (Hawaiian geese) outside!
Others have mentioned that the unit is well stocked with beach and snorkeling gear. Just to confirm — two sets of masks and snorkels, three sets of flippers (two L-XL and one S-M), two cooler bags, a large beach tote, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, two sets of beach towels… seriously, you don’t need to bring your own gear unless it’s super high-quality or you’re particular about not using shared equipment.
Also of note — there’s a policy of no smoking within 20 feet of any common property on the grounds. This isn’t found in the description or house rules here on VRBO, but it’s clearly stated in the binder in the unit. Just FYI.
The REMAX management is top notch and goes above and beyond in their communication, which is always appreciated.
It was a fantastic eight days in early October, and just what we needed. We hope your your stay as much as we did!

This property is close to many of the area's best beachhes - especially Hanalei. We spent a great deal of time at the beaches. The only negative is the condo does not have AC (not uncommon for Kauai) and our week was unusually warm; so sleeping was sometimes uncomfortable. But other that that - which the owner cannot control, it was great!

The pictures don’t do this view justice. I was pinching myself everyday that I got to wake up to these views. It was just beautiful. The condo was comfortable, clean and had a great location. The downside was no AC. It made it a bit uncomfortable at times, but it was manageable even in our early September visit. Loved the washer and dryer and I think these were the softest towels I have ever used. We celebrated our anniversary and we’re surprised by the sweetest welcome gift. We hope to be back someday. It was just beautiful.

Kauai is our favorite vacation spot, have been coming to the north shore for over twenty years. The Pali Ke Kua 118 ground floor studio is beautifully located with a great few of the bay, tastefully decorated and clean. The only negative note is about the occasional foot traffic upfront with other folks coming to enjoy the sunsets at this gorgeous location.

We've been staying at PKK for over 20 years and this unit is quite nice ... a bit crowded with too much furniture and kitchen supplies for a 2-person unit, but the view is spectacular, as are most on the west-facing side of the property. Would love if they replaced the bedroom window to allow airflow, and to allow the ocean sounds to lull us to sleep, and it's the first unit we've stayed in with a sealed, closed window in the bedroom. Otherwise, top of the line conveniences and a great location!

This by far was one of the most favorite places I've stayed in! Let's just say it was very hard to pack and go home while looking out the windows and hearing the birds chirp. My husband and I truly enjoyed this villa and spent every morning and evening on the patio. The views are to die for, and I loved to watch the Nene geese right outside of our patio. Sunsets were so beautiful as well. As noted, there is not A/C, however we cooled down fast with the breeze from the windows and the fans that are provided. We plan to come back again one day, and stay during whale season!!

We began our search for the perfect location for our anniversary trip a year in advance. We could not have made a better decision! That view is even more impressive than the photos show. Location, location, location! Walking in that first day, we actually laughed out loud! Just stood there, shaking our heads, laughing at our good fortune. Sunrises, sunsets, and rainbows, right outside our door. We swam with sea turtles down at our "private" beach, Hideaways. We prepared breakfasts and dinners in the well equipped kitchen, although the view out the dining room window was quite distracting. Lunches were enjoyed out, on various adventures. Walked the quiet beaches of Moloa'a, Secret, and Larson's. Rented bikes in Kapaa, and discovered Donkey beach. Not a single soul on it. Took the shuttle out to Ke'e beach, twice. And we always came back home to that view. Thank you for a fabulous, memorable trip! We will be back!

Staying here was absolutely wonderful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else if we’re lucky enough to come back to visit one day. Cozy. A perfect ocean breeze. The most gorgeous purple sunsets on the island. Panoramic views. A little hideaway beach is just down a walkway (an adventurous one :)). You can tell this place is loved. We replaced the pillows before we slept.Also had to take off the bathroom closet and raise the left side up so the spring held mechanism I. The track would keep the door in the correct position for opening and closing. The toilet was plugged and would not clear so we plunged it and reset the handle. It will work consistently now if you hold the handle down for two seconds on every flush. Also one light switch would not work as it was rusted so we took it apart cleaned the wires and out it back together. It works fine now. Most people would just live with these items being slightly off but I have twenty four apartment units and always carry a few tools. Would like to stay again but an early check in should be allowed so we can do these minor repairs before occupancy bigis.

Very nice, well equipped unit. Incredible location and view. Overall we enjoyed our time there very much. Our only small concern was that the unit was a little buggy, mostly mosquitoes. Possibly due to the condition of windows and screens or lack of spraying or both. This was not a huge problem but we really had to be careful about closing the sliding screen doors ASAP and did get a few bites inside the unit. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay and we would return.

PKK#118 is the perfect vacation rental for the north area of Kauai. The views of the mountains with numerous waterfalls, majestic Bali Hai, and the clear blue waters of the pacific make memories for a lifetime. The condo's interior is not only very comfortable but also beautiful. Being a corner unit gives you view access of almost 360 degrees of Hawaii's most breath taking views. Our days started with breakfast on the lanai and being greeted by the NeNe's (Hawaiian Geese) and ended with exquisite sunsets looking at Bali Hai and the sun slowly sinking into the pacific. Enjoyed the stay very much. The condo was very warm when we arrived with everything closed up, but once the windows were open and the fans on, it cooled down and stayed pretty cool overall. Middle of the day was warm inside but who's in their condo during prime exploring time!Condo itself had everything you needed...snorkeling gear, beach chairs (VERY NICE), portable dishes and every kitchen gadget you might need. Unfortunately I didn't notice the boogie boards under the bed...yet another thoughtful item the owners have in place for their renters. Condo itself is definitely older and there were a few things that didn't work quite right. The drain didn't drain (we could have called but decided not worth the hassle), the sliding door was very hard to move open, and the living room ceiling fan didn't turn very fast. BUT...these are very nitpicks and overall the condo was appointed nicely, had clearly been recently remodeled with granite, etc. I would definitely stay here again...just mentioning the above since you do pay a premium for oceanfront. And speaking of oceanfront...there isn't a better view on the island than this unit. This is THE best view available...I'm sure of it.Rental company was easy to work with and I would recommend the unit.

We had a lovely stay at PKK #118 for a few days of our Honeymoon! The condo is a nice size and is located at the end of the building, with amazing views from every window. It is well appointed with appliances, kitchen items, beach gear (chairs, umbrella, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, coolers), hairdryer, and it was very clean and well maintained. The furniture is a little dated and the couches weren't very comfortable, but we spent most of our time adventuring or on the lanai, anyway!The location is great for exploring the North Shore -- Tunnels Beach, Secret Beach, the town of Hanalei, the Napali Coast Trail, and Ke'e Beach are all a short drive away. The Princeville Foodland is also short drive away. Hideaway Beach is a walk down the cliff, and you can walk (about .5 mile each way) to the Princeville St Regis or Happy Talk Restaurant at the Hanalei Bay Resort, which are both great.The only cons were that we could hear a fair amount from upstairs (the neighbors weren't noisy or inconsiderate, but noise just travels) and the lanai isn't necessarily private - given the shared nature of the yard between the lanai and the cliff edge, there were often people walking past. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here when on Kauai!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pali Ke Kua. The view from this unit was spectacular. The complex was well located and made getting around the island very easy. The unit itself was well equipped with beach gear, kitchen supplies and linens. We were surprised that some toilettries weren't provided - shampoo and conditioner (despite us being told they would be). The unit itself was clean, the kitchen was modern, the bed comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and lanai well set up. The unit could do with an upgrade to the furniture - it was dated and uncomfortable. The carpeting in the unit should also be replaced as it's difficult not to track in sand. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would aboslutely return.

This condo has stunning views! The mountain and ocean views were absolutely breathtaking. I was happy to discover that the bedding and patio furniture have been updated. The WiFi and cable TV worked well. On the downside, I thought much of the decor was outdated and there was a TON of furniture squeezed into the small condo, though everything was in decent shape. The condo had a musty/mildew-y odor (I think this was due to the damp conditions, and not an issue with cleanliness). Was also surprised to learn it's common for geckos to live in Kauai homes (I saw two during my stay). Be sure to check out the beach below the condo--it's beautiful. Also, don't miss Tunnels Beach and, if you're craving a workout and beautiful views, hike to Hanakapiai Beach or the Falls.

This was our second stay in #118 in two years. We absolutely love the condo's location, view, and accommodations. You just cannot beat the view of Bali Hai from the lanai. Angela at Remax was extremely helpful and courteous. Sunsets and waterfalls are spectacular from this location. This has become our go-to condo on Kauai, and we have stayed at many others over the years.

This was my 2nd trip to Kauai, the first was to see & do as much as possible. This visit was for total rest, relaxation & peace. That's exactly what I experienced! Awesome views of ocean & landscape from the 3 main rooms. Loved hearing the ocean waves & various bird visitors!Everything was exactly as shown & posted in ad except there was no standing fan. With no A/C & the two ceiling fans, it would have been more comfortable in the afternoons with that extra fan to move where needed.

This property has a stunning cliff-side location with a gorgeous view. Kitchen was very nice. Appreciated the boogie board, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella they had for guests to use. Furniture was quite dated and bed was extremely firm (though some would consider that an assest), but otherwise the unit was nice. Big plus to have a washer/dryer right in the unit.

The owners also equipped the places with lots of extras including beach chairs, the softest towels ever and a well stocked kitchen. This end unit seriously is situated in the most beautiful spot on the island! Views out every window and from the patio are absolutely amazing. I never want to stay anywhere, but here! It is in a great location, is super comfortable and has everything you need and even things you didn't know you needed! Loved the walks down to the two close beaches, sitting on the patio, watching the whales from the condo and I even loved having a washer/dryer in the bathroom(brilliant and handy!!)

Maybe the most beautiful spot on the island! We’ve been going to Kauai for over 20 years and Princeville is usually our destination. This unit gives you a postcard perfect view of Bali Hai from the kitchen, dining room, and patio. It’s clean, comfortable, and cozy - perfect for a couple. It doesn’t have air conditioning, but once you open up the vented windows and have the ceiling fans it cools down nicely each evening for a perfect nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again and again!
