But when you’re ready to get out and explore, you’re minutes away from the very attractions that draw visitors to the island. Kealakekua Bay is one of the best snorkeling spots in the entire state of Hawaii due to its spectacular coral reefs. Keauhou Bay has some of the best snorkeling on the planet, with the night dives among Manta Rays being an experience you’ll never forget. Explore Hawaiian history when visiting the nearby petroglyphs, ancient rock carvings dating all the way back to the 16th century.

When in Hawaii, you must of course make the most of the many beaches, hikes, and water activities available. Make sure you also dive into the unique culture of Kona, where coffee shops source beans straight from Kona coffee farms, Big Wave Golden Ale is brewed fresh at the Kona Brewpub, and local farmers markets are teeming with artisan goods and just-harvested produce.

Downtown is a short drive away with more shopping, restaurants, and nightlife to explore. Plus the possibilities of day trips beyond Kona are endless!

Everything was great with the property. Clean and comfortable. It would have been good to know that they provided beach towels, a few beach chairs, boogie boards and some snorkeling gear.

This is a comfortable condo, thoughtfully stocked with your holiday getaway needs. Location is excellent! Right across the street from a fantastic swimming beach. There is a trolley that comes once an hour that happened to be free while we were there. Incredibly convenient for getting into town. (You should definitely advertise this more). The only reason this was not rated five stars is the lack of communication or response from the property management company. Grand. We had a few issues upon arrival and called the number as directed. Spoke to someone who said they would look into it and get right back to us and they never did. Reached out again and we were told we would get a response ASAP. Never received a response entire trip.

We loved the location and the fact that there are 2 baths and rooms. Everything was well stocked other than bath products. It also would have been nice to have more than 1 beach chair. The pool, billiard and barbecue area is a nice option. We really enjoyed not having to find parking to enjoy Magic Sands beach. We enjoyed the beach and snorkeled there as well as in the cove to the left. The park and rocky beach to the right was beautiful too.

We’ve stayed in many condos while visiting Hawaii over the years. This place has a wonderful location- right across the street from Magic Sands Beach and close to the free trolley. However there are a number of issues we had. First, this is managed by a big vacation rental company, which means that communication isn’t direct, and everything is referred to the on-site team. While we had hoped for an early check in, we were told check in is at 4:00. However the cleaner wasn’t done till almost 4:45, meaning a lot of waiting in the heat. Once we got in, we quickly found that one of the toilets was clogged. 3 phone calls and a message through their website before someone came the next day to fix it. Meanwhile, the only working toilet was in the master bath meaning people walking through the bedroom in the middle of the night. The 2nd bathroom shower head was broken which was mentioned in the communication about the toilet, but no response about that. Fortunately you could take a shower, it was just awkward. The kitchen cupboards and counter tops are very worn and dated- looking like the original ones from the 80’s. Also minimally stocked (i.e. only salt and pepper- no cooking oil or anything else) They also required that you wash, fold and put away all the towels except for one set. What are we paying a cleaning fee for? I don’t like to complain but feel an honest review is in order.

This rental was the perfect spot for our Kona stay. Across the street from a beach, additional beaches a short walk or drive away, lovely pool, outdoor grills and tables for the family to have lunch or dinner. Magic’s Grill across the street is a great place for coffee, snacks, cocktail hour or dinner. The rental itself was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was great for the really hot days. We didn’t need to use it too much. With the sliding glass doors open, you get a nice breeze in. Beach towels, a chair, and snorkel accessories were available for use. Only regret is not staying longer. I can’t wait to come back.
