Krisy was a perfect host. I gave cleanliness a 4 due to a snafu at the beginning of our stay but krisy took care of the problem immediately so by day 2 we were up to a 5. You couldn’t ask for a better location Across the street was a fantastic restaurant…. The beach house. If you stay here you need to go there. Also it’s a great place to watch the sunset

Shout out to our Host Ed, who gave us very clear instructions on how to access the condo and what to do with parking. We had a grand time during this stay. We hope we can come back.

We enjoyed this studio Prince Kuhio condo very much.
The location was ideal for us: in close proximity to snorkeling beaches, walking trails, and restaurants. From our lanai, we had a great view of the ocean, Prince Kuhio park and mountains to the north. Although the location is accessible to activities and food, it was also calm, relaxing, and didn’t have as many crowds and traffic as other parts of the island. The condo grounds are beautiful with vegetation, flowers, fountains, and outdoor pool. There was plenty of on-site parking.
The condo was recently remodeled and a good size for two people. The king size bed was very comfortable. A/C worked well. The kitchen was well equipped. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal but that didn’t matter to us. We would have liked to have ice trays and coffee filters. We did construct coffee filters out of paper towels.
The newly remodeled bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower and granite counter tops. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. A number of small cleansing bars of soap were provided but no shampoo, conditioner, shower gel or lotion.
There are a few feral chickens that hang out around the condo complex and park just like other parts of the island. Most of the time they were not a problem. However, there was a rooster that was very loud that kept my husband, who is a light sleeper, awake for much of 3 nights. We realize this wasn’t the fault of the condo or owner but something that renters should be aware of.
Overall, we enjoyed this condo very much and want to stay here again. If we did, we would likely bring coffee filters, ice cube trays, shampoo, conditioner, shower soap and ear plugs.

This rental property was great for my husband and I. The full kitchen and AC was great since we wanted to cook some meals on our own. The location is wonderful and very short walking distance to the water and beautiful sunset views. We weren’t able to swim at night since the pool closes at sunset, but it’s a nice feature should you want to stay at the rental during the day. The room was fully equipped and had everything needed!

This VRBO condo faces towards Prince Kuhio Park which means a wonderful view of the park and partial view of the ocean. The privacy and quiet of the condo was great. Know that the Roosters will crow during odd times of the night and one of them must have been within the property and was quite loud for a few nights. Using the A/C and closing the windows helps to mute the volume. Personally I was enamored of the crowing but my spouse slept better when we took measures to mute the sound of the crowing.
The location allowed us to access the other areas of the island. Shopping for groceries (other than Costco after we landed) was easy and we went to the Big Save in Koloa a few times. The Kukui’ula Market was a fun place to pick up sushi rolls and Asian black bean pastries too.
The pool was nice and we enjoyed some time there when we weren’t snorkeling.
The host was very response to our questions as well. We had all the necessary dishes and cooking utensils to meet our needs.
We had a great stay at this Vrbo. It’s a short walk to Lawai beach to take in the sunset and watch the parakeets fly into roost in the palms just after sunset.

Ed’s condo far exceeded my expectations! Everything was extremely clean, King size bed is very comfortable, and the view of the palm trees from the window was beautiful. Ceiling fans + AC unit a huge plus. The complex is right across the street from the Beach House Restaurant so this location is perfect if you’re attending a wedding there. Parking was also super easy - there was always an open spot available. Communication with Ed was incredible from day 1 of making our reservation. He went out of his way to notify us when we could check in a bit early. My only regret is not being able to stay longer! 100% recommend.

This property features a beautiful garden, Koi pond and swimming pool. It had everything we needed, including being located close to three beaches. Sit outside on the Lanai and enjoy a direct view of Prince Kuhio Park and the ocean. The unit itself has been well maintained and updated with a nice shower, tile and countertops. It had everything we needed, including great wi-fi and television. Communication with the owner was excellent.
For those of you without a car....we didn't have a car, but really didn't need one as we had already seen many sights on Kauai and around Poipu. The property is within walking distance to three beaches, the National Tropical Botanical Gardens, Spouting Horn, and The Shops at Kukuiula, which includes restaurants. The Long's drug store there is handy; there is also a small specialty food store, but it is very small and pricey.
We learned to use the Popiu shuttle bus to get around, including up to the closest "real" grocery store at Koloa. The shuttle is very easy to use, inexpensive (25 cents for over-60s!) and the closest stop is just past the traffic circle at Kukuiula Shops, about a 10-minute walk from the unit. It comes every hour and will take you past Poipu Shopping Village, another very nice outdoor mall, and Poipu Beach, on the way to Koloa. It also links to a bigger bus that goes to Lihue.

My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks in the Koloa condo. The condo had everything we needed and more. The view of the ocean from the lanai was amazing along with the perfect spot for watching for whales. Across the street, on the beach, was the neighborhood gathering space to watch the sunset every night. The well equipped kitchen was great for our long term stay. Plenty of parking near the building. Ed was great in staying in touch from booking to checking in to checking out. We will definitely be back!

View & location was awesome. This unit is fairly small but cozy. The king bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. I liked that there was supplies like paper towels, ample toilet paper & coffee filters. We had boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs & sun umbrella. We really liked our push code entry. We had friends at the Lawai Beach resort which was next door so very convenient to walk there. Great walking terrain all around. Our only complaint was that we didn’t stay long enough! (We stayed 2 weeks. )

Our short three night stay at this condo was exactly as promised. The communication with the owner was excellent with questions promptly answered. The owner had recently re-purchased the property and that is why all reviews at that time were dated a few years prior.
The studio had a very comfortable king bed where we watched beautiful sunrises. The sofa can pull out for additional bed space. The bathroom is quite small but very clean and had a great shower. There is an A/C unit but we did not need to use it. The kitchen appeared well equipped for a short stay. No dishwasher.
The beach access is about a half block walk and across the road. We watched snorkelers and gorgeous sunsets from the grassy area behind the restaurant.
Besides the shaved ice shack, this is the only nearby restaurant and it is open for lunch and dinner with reservations encouraged.
Parking at the condo is very tight, and I recommend small cars only. Additional parking is located in a building adjacent to the property and provides covered spaces.
You must walk around the gardens of the condominiums! There are huge koi fish and gorgeous flowers to enjoy.
I recommend this condo for a fun Hawaiian vacation and hope to return soon.

Comfy king size bed with all the amenities you would ever need....down to a cooler and snorkeling equipment. Ed, has been such a excellent host, calling our first day to make sure we were not in need of anything. If planning a trip to Kauai, do yourself a favor and book this excellent condo!! Ed was an amazing host from beginning to end. His unit at Prince Kuhio had his aloha touch with Hawaiian art and it felt like home from the moment we entered. We loved the lanai overlooking PK Park and beach. Everything you may need is here for you! Beach gear, full kitchen, wi-fi & tv, tour books etc. Yes, the roosters will wake you at 3am...but the sound of the waves will lull you right back into tropical dreams in your king-size bed.
One cove to the west -a three minute stroll- is Lawai Beach, great for snorkeling and sunsets. If you like to walk, head to Spouting Horn or Poipu Beach Park or the shopping center back up the road for the Thursday evening farmers market that starts at 4pm.
If you crave a more low key adventure and choose to avoid ritzy resorts this just might be your favorite alternative. It was for us!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It is clean and comfy, and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We used the cooler, snorkel fins, and snorkel masks every day. That was a nice bonus to have those to use. It is right across the street from Lawai beach, where there is decent snorkeling. Air conditioning was very nice to have. Most importantly, it is close to a Lappert's! Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place! It's close to the best beaches and across the street from the best snorkeling on the island. We could walk to shops and restaurants and it's about a mile away from the botanical garden.
The condo itself was nice and clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would stay there again!

We stayed in this property for five days earlier this month. From the moment we inquired about the property, through the prompt refund of our security deposit, our experience with the owner (Ed) was exceptional. He was extremely responsive, informative, and flexible.
Happily, the unit was just as advertised: comfortable bed and furnishings, excellent climate control, clean, and well "stocked". The location and view were exactly what we expected. Other renters in the complex were friendly, respectful, and courteous. The area got very quiet at night.
Thanks, Ed, for enabling us to enjoy a carefree time in Kauai.

We booked our Kauai trip last minute and Ed's condo was available for the exact nights that we needed it. He contacted me within minutes of my first email, was friendly and easy to do business with. After we returned home, he emailed me to make sure that we had a great trip and that everything went well. We stayed 5 nights and can't wait to return! Every time we returned from a day excursion, diving, or a day at the beach, I felt like I was coming home.
When we arrived at the condo, it was perfect! It is clean and tastefully decorated. The bed is comfortable and we slept like babies. We only ate out once, because we enjoyed eating on the lanai. We would have breakfast enjoying the morning ocean breeze and watching the roosters. After a day of diving or exploring, we would return and bbq tuna or steak on the grill. It was great, because there is a full sized refrigerator, so we had plenty of room to put the groceries that we bought at the local market up the street.
The condo was fully equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and cooler. It was so nice, because it was one less thing to worry about. It truly felt like home! The beach was right across the street from the condo and restaurants and a cute shopping center are a 10 minute walk.
We cannot wait to return to Kauai! We will definitely be booking this condo.

This Prince Kuhio condo was a warm and welcome ending to a multiple week vacation on Hawaii. My wife and I stayed five nights in this wonderful place--not only unwinding from previous diving and hiking in Hawaii, but also seeing some new sights on the south shore of Kauai. Rarely did we jump in our car to go experience the island while staying here...and we were tired of always doing this because we had to travel to see things from all the other places we stayed. We often woke up, had coffee and some breakfast on the lanai while enjoying the breeze and ocean view, then walked the very short walk to Lawai Beach or Koloa Landing and snorkeled or simply hung out on the beach. It is only a short walk to the shopping mall where you will find Bubba's Burgers or Lappert's Ice Cream, etc. if you want something to eat. It's only a short distance to the local supermarket for a beer run or Da Crack (great Mexican fish tacos/shrimp burritos). It is really only across the street to The Beach House Restaurant if you want a romantic evening. So, location was awesome! As far as the condo itself...it is kept exceptionally clean and very nicely put together. My wife's words when we walked in were, "This is so cute! So nice!" Comfortable bed, great shower, wonderful cross breezes that you will never need the AC. We slept like babies every night with the glow of the moon filtering through the palm trees. Every time we came back to the condo after a day in the sun, we felt at home, cool, and relaxed just to stay put. The grounds are floral and lush. The parking lot is large, and we never had a problem trying to find a place to park. Ed was a great host. He was very accommodating with scheduling and check out--he even called us upon arrival to make sure all was ok. If I had to choose a place to settle for another stay on the south shore of Kauai, this would--hands down--be the place. We will be back for sure (don't take our spot) :)! Meanwhile, we will be Hawaii dreaming...and this place added to the nice dreams.
