My wife and I have stayed in this condo many times and have never been disappointed. Whether it's your first trip to Maui or you're a seasoned veteran, this will satisfy your needs. Inside and out you will have everything you need. The location is close to many dining options, shopping, golfing, and sightseeing. One of our favorite things to do is to sit on the lanai and enjoy the view. You will definitely want to return.

Good location. Fantastic when the private beach is intact….swimming and snorkeling were great. However high tides and wind caused rough water and beach washed away. Apparently it comes and goes, weather and tides dependent. Unit was small but very clean, well appointed and comfortable.

Our hosts gave detailed information about the rental (be sure to READ it all) and answered all of our additional inquiries promptly to make sure the lodging part of our trip was an excellent experience.
The property is simply stunning. It's everything you think of when you hear the word 'paradise'. Flora, fauna, fantastic! Snorkel right from the steps into the ocean. Turtles travel back and forth from rocks all day!
The neighborhood is quiet, except for the occasional street traffic noise coming in through open bedroom windows.
Easy mile walk to grocery store.
Rental car allowed us to explore the island, but we would've had a lovely time without one - it's that perfect.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Walt and Kathy’s condo. We loved that it was a small building. It was very convenient and a perfect location. The condo itself was beautiful, comfortable, with incredible views from the lanai. AC in the bedroom was helpful and we had a lovely breeze through the condo when windows were open. Kitchen was great and stocked with everything we needed to do some cooking. Kathy’s communication was excellent and the instructions for coming and going were very thorough. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Walt and Kathy’s condo!

This was our 3rd time in the same condos with friends. Our first time in 208. We felt like the furniture could be updated as well as the tall balcony chairs. They were not very comfortable. The AC was not working the best.

This condo is in a small quiet complex. The location is great and view from the lanai is amazing. The grounds are really well kept and the snorkeling was great most days as was watching whales off in the distance. The condo was well equipped, only wished we had found a beach umbrella. The space is small but perfect for a couple or maybe a couple and a child. My only critique would be that the condo could use some updating and some of the furnishings and rugs should be replaced or professionally cleaned soon, but honestly we weren’t there for the furnishings and nothing was so bad that I wouldn’t go back tomorrow if I could! Communication with the owners was always easy and timely and they were very generous in allowing us to stay a little later than planned. Definitely recommend!!

Kathy was easy to reach and we had no problems. Lucky you going here - we would book here again without looking any place else! And we saw tons of turtles every day!

The photos and listing descriptions live up to the expectation. It was everything I saw in pictures and more! The beach is right out front of the property. It was so relaxing hearing the waves sounds from the private balcony! The unit is located on a corner on the second floor which felt very private and quiet. We had private access to the front beach. The unit was very well stocked. The host thought of every detail. For example, the unit was well stocked with two beach towels, beach gear, they even had a cooler, and much more.
The hosts, Michael & Jack, are very welcoming. It was an abundance of communication and quick responses. Loved their emails because they incorporated the Hawaiian language! They took the time to provide via email directions on how to get to the condo from the airport. Check-in and out was seamless. Michael & Jack provided a book with instructions and suggestions on places to go and eat.

Jack and Michael’s place proved to be the perfect home base for my wife and I as we explored Maui for the first time.
Through an abundance of communication and quick responses, check in, house instructions, directions, and check out were seamless. They were very welcoming too, providing a bottle of champagne for us as we were on our honeymoon.
The house was stocked with essentials for our week stay and even had beach gear, which we used regularly. Because it’s a smaller complex and the units on the end, often it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The sandy beach right out front provided easy, safe water access which was another plus.
Overall we’d highly recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed at Michael and Jack’s properties in the past and we just can’t say enough good things about renting from such great people. Their communication is quick and thorough and the care they put into this property is second to none!
This is the first time staying at Hoyochi Nikko, but won’t be our last. The property and location are amazing and views are incredible. With only 18 units in the building, it feels like a small community.
Can’t wait for our next visit!

We LOVED our stay! Everything is exactly as described. Jack and Michael are fantastic hosts. The condo, grounds, pool, lanai, and surf are all first-rate. Absolutely paradise! We learned quickly to open all the windows to catch the tradewinds. Breakfast on the lanai every morning, a quick swim in the pool or with the turtles every evening. This condo comes fully equipped and stocked with everything you need for a short stay - for longer stays you will want to bring a few extra trash bags and laundry pods. THANK YOU, Jack and Michael, for making our anniversary one to remember!

This was our first stay at this condo and we LOVED it!!! Easy access to pool and ocean. Close to shopping and restaurants.
The hosts, Michael and Jack were wonderful, as always, as we’ve stayed at properties they’ve hosted previously.
You won’t be disappointed if you stay here, clean and well stocked. We cook often when we visit Maui, so a well stocked kitchen is very important!! We will definitely like to stay here again on future visits.

Jack and Michael were extremely communicative leading up to our stay. Their tips made navigating the neighborhood and checking into the condo super easy. +1 to their recommendation of getting a compact car. A Ford Fiesta is the perfect size for the tight parking space.
Kitchen is fully stocked. There are plenty of markets nearby (Foodland, Times Supermarket, Napili Market) which makes planning meals easy.
Jack and Michael provided a few other things to make beach trips a breeze if you didn't bring your own gear: cooler, beach chairs, an umbrella, water shoes, snorkel gear, sunscreen.
The beach off the property can be small at times but there's plenty to see if you snorkel. We spotted some turtles on multiple days!
Highly recommend this spot! Will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Maui.

We spent our 5th anniversary at Hoyochi Nikko #209. We loved the view and property! But favorite part was swimming with turtles right in front of the condo! We will definitely be making this an annual trip!

The space is perfect for two people and excellent for lazing about on the patio and watching the waves come and go. It’s also close enough to head to Lahaina Town or head further north. Though we didn’t need them the hosts are very hospitable.

The condo was exactly as described by the listing and reviews. We spent a month here to relax and enjoy the island and the condo was equipped with all we needed to do so. The deck was our favorite place where we spent hours admiring the ocean, turtles, dolphins and even a few whales. We loved that we were within walking distance to the farmers market, retail shops, restaurants, grocery store and coffee shop. Michael and Jack provided us with excellent directions and information upon arrival. We had one minor question which they responded to immediately. Thank you for a great time!

The property was good! Beautiful view from balcony, can’t be beat. Beach few steps from condo and pool, no need to leave! The air conditioner however was only for the bedroom, it got quite hot in the rest of the condo even with windows open. As long as that doesn’t bother you, it’s a great spot!

We surely love this place, it has everything you need and everything you don't need noise ! So peaceful being in the end unit, we never heard a thing, except the waves. the bed is super comfy, Kitchen has it all. Michael and Jack really make you feel like you are Ohana ( Family ) forgot my make up case and jack drove it to me all the way to south side of Island, who does that ? We will be back for sure !!

Loved this place!!! So fun being greeted by sea turtles on the beach every day. The complex is small which means no crowds on the beach. The pool is nice, close to grills and tables for dining al fresco by the water. Sunsets were glorious. The condo was clean, in good shape, had everything we needed for celebrating our daughters 13th birthday in Maui. The hide-a-bed was comfortable, the kitchen was stocked (pots/pans etc), the view was spectacular, and we were grateful for the cooler, beach chairs, and other beach stuff provided in the unit. Other than the sound of crashing waves (which was beautiful!) and the occasional (VERY RARE) highway noise, it was quiet and peaceful. Loved being far enough away from the resort hubbub to make us feel like we were in paradise, but close enough to the resorts to make us feel like we could access popular beaches and snorkel spots. This was a great spot for our day trips to Haleakala and Hana and trips to Up Country. We loved Honokowai, and have already recommended Hoyochi Nikko to friends and family. Our hosts Michael and Jack were very helpful and always willing to answer my questions (even if I had already asked them, or if they’d already sent the info I was requesting). Can’t wait to come back!

We have mixed feelings about this property..the location, view, beach and water access are wonderful..turtles in abundance whales on the horizon, beautiful sunsets..nice pool and beautiful grounds..with such a small property we got to know people and the beachfront and pool area are well kept, clean and comfortable. The parking is extremely tight!!! Do. Not.get a big rental is you’re coming here.. this condo has the advantage of being on the end so only one shared wall. It is definitely in need of more TLC..the furnishings in the living room are nice, new, fairly comfortable..the kitchen is tiny but well stocked with cooking utensils and the appliances and countertops are all new, even the coffee pot:) The bathroom is again, tiny but the vanity is new..the shower..ehhhh not so much ..its large enough but the grout and shower door track are in need of serious scrubbing..the bedroom unfortunately backs to a busy road so there is a certain amount of traffic noise.The bed is marginal in that its big enough, a king, but the headboard is not attached so each time someone moves it bangs on the wall..we eventually braced it with rolled up towels..the ceiling fan squeaks and that was a problem for sleeping ...the lanai when left open catch’s a good breeze that does funnel through into the bedroom but only if you leave the window overlooking the street open so that wasnt a great thing for the night time. these things might not bother some people but we are very light sleepers..
The towels are all nice and new but there was no change of sheets for the bed..overall we loved the complex but this particular unit needs better cleaning and a few more amenities like extra paper towels, another set of sheets, attach the headboard, level the ceiling fan..small things but sometimes those make or break a comfortable stay..I freely admit I need a super clean bathroom and quiet nights sleep probably more than most people and if you’re more easy going than I am about that stuff then over all this is a fabulous place..the grounds and ocean front access make up for the small annoyances for sure...The art in the condo was nice but a personal list of “things to do places to eat, etc etc” would have been nice..the book “ Maui revealed” was very nice to use..:)

My husband and I love this property- we felt lucky to have such a stellar view from the lanai of the sea, sunsets, and off-shore whales. The property was nicely appointed with everything we needed, and the grounds are so lovely and quiet. Such a great retreat for those who like a smaller complex (we prefer two story charm to the huge high-rises any day). We loved the beach for swimming, and stargazing at night on the lawn. Thank you Michael and Jack for such a special place!

We keep coming back to Hoyochi Nikko and unit 209 because the complex is relatively small and friendly. The views from the 2nd floor are of course spectacular. There are many turtles that come up to sun themselves on the beach. W’hale watching from the comfort of the Lanai is addictive. Michael and Jack are always available for help and suggestions. We will be back.

My husband and I chose this condo for its amenities and view and it did not disappoint. The unit was clean and well maintained. Having a full kitchen and washer / dryer was key for us as we were traveling with young children. The AC unit and ceiling fan in the bedroom were perfect as the trade winds through windows really did carry a nice daily breeze for the rest of the unit. The balcony... a dream! Oh the view! Morning rainbows and evening sunsets over the water were breath taking. The complex grounds were immaculately maintained and the site manager quite helpful. We were pleased to find beach chairs, an umbrella and beach towels in the unit ready for use. Our first day we saw a turtle resting on the beach out front! The snorkeling by the complex is stellar with many schools of fish and turtles. Do rent a small car as recommended because parking is tight!
