The property was clean with gorgeous views of the ocean from the lanai. Everything we needed and more was provided. Dennis and Maria made sure we had what we needed to in order to find the condo complex, get into the gate, and get into the condo. They were also very responsive when we had questions. We are always so appreciative of clean properties, and this one was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our two weeks!

Dennis was an amazing host who checked in with us upon checkin and great with communication. He recommend a great swimming location for our 2yrs old with green back turtles. Property is away from the busy & lively Kona Coast so perfect for our family. Close drive to everything nearby such as beach, stores, cafe, marina (swimming with Manta Rays). We used the pool so the use of the swim gear was amazing! The lanai was used heavily for every meal & try place had everything we need to make meals.
Highly recommend this home for cleanliness, location, friendliness!

This property has a problem with large cockroaches (2+ inches) & the host didn't seem to care that our stay was negatively impacted. Upon check-in we found a dead cockroach in our bed. We then searched the condo further, finding another 4 dead roaches (we also had 2 live cockroaches later in our stay) & several areas on the walls that were covered with dead gnats, including the kitchen. After contacting the host, he claimed that they never had a bug problem before (despite roach traps throughout the condo and a can of roach spray in the closest) & sent housekeeping to the condo the next day. She confirmed that the complex does routinely get cockroaches & that she had removed 5 dead cockroaches just before our arrival & advised that the complex had recently sprayed for roaches so hopefully that would be all that we found. A couple hrs later, we found the 1st of 2 live cockroaches. After killing it, I called the host & told him that this was unacceptable & that we would like a refund so we could move to a hotel. He said he would check into it & get back to me. After no response for over 24 hrs (and finding the 2nd live cockroach) & dealing with an odor from the broken washer (broke before we checked in) I had to contact him again. He responded that someone would come to fix the washer and an exterminator would be contacted. He ignored the refund request & the fact that we didn't get what we paid for, even after I brought it up again. He offered us nothing more than a "sorry."

We were very impressed with the view, the comfortable beds and how well stocked the condo was. The balcony allowed for great sunset viewing. Very close to stores and several restaurants, and the beach just adjacent to the condo rarely had anyone on it and had good snorkeling

This property had a lot to offer. Plenty of open space and had a great view with a large porch. Short walk to a beach but was rocky on the shoreline so bring secure water shoes. Plenty of grocery options close. I would recommend going to the property before the store. There were a lot of condiments and even left over pantry goods that we used and helped cut back on grocery bill. Beds were comfortable and super soft! 3rd floor no elevator- perfectly fine for our group but could be limiting for some.

Spent 6 nights with my family of 6. Very nice apartment located in a quiet part of the Island. Kona is 10 minutes away. There is a supermarket 3 minutes away. The unit is spacious and very well equipped. Dennis is a great host. Instruction very clear. Wi-Fi worked very well (a plus for those of us who had to work). Everything was perfect. Would recommend.

Our first thought upon entering the unit was "WOW!" Just as the pictures display, the unit has gorgeous, modern furnishings and a very open and spacious layout. The highlight for our family of 5 was the ginormous deck! We spent so much time there enjoying the sunset, dining together or just relaxing in the perfect ambiance. Another highlight is the property is packed to the gills with supplies. There were tons of cooking essentials, staples, non-perishable items, laundry basics etc. Also all the items we needed for FUN on the island ... beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, tennis racquets, etc. It really felt like we were welcomed guests. The owners also checked in with us several times ahead of and during our arrival. I did a ton of research looking for the perfect spot to stay and feel like this was a home run! My only suggestion would be for the owners to add pickle ball supplies - as it is the number one growing sport right now and available on the courts at the property. The sunsets from this unit were surreal, and you could also take a 3 minute walk and be at the edge of the water as well. We loved the super comfy master bed (it's a soft, cozy mattress), and my son slept well on the pullout sofa so that each of the three kids could have a bed (the other two slept on the guest room full beds). The market was so close (two minute drive) and we did some fantastic activities that a launched from Keauhau Bay which was only about 5 minutes away. Amazing unit, wonderful stay!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The interior and decor of the condo was spacious. The wrap around lanai made the condo! Nice that there were spices and condiments from previous guests. Lots of beach gear. The washer dryer were great. Would definitely stay at Keahou surf and Racquet Club. A tropical paradise. Hosts were excellent.

The bottom line: Dennis’ place is an awesome condo and you will not be disappointed! Location, views and extras for your ultimate Hawaii vacation experience.
Our second time back to the area, we brought extended family with high expectations to this property and it did not disappoint. This condo is our favorite out of the two because of the spacious lanai, endless sunset views, well appointed kitchen and toys/chairs for the beach. We didn’t find the umbrella mentioned in other reviews, maybe overlooked, but that would have been great for hot days at the beach. For a 3rd floor condo, the A/C was a must and it functioned very well and kept us cool during our stay. There is plenty of seating in the lanai for lounging and eating and we found ourselves reading, playing games and watching the pickleballers throughout the day. The decor and furnishings are tasteful Hawaii themed without being too cliché.
The previous guests left a few extra non-perishable supplies and we were able to make coffee and pancakes our first morning! It’s a bonus to have the basic cooking ingredients and cookware available and we left a few things ourselves for the next guests to enjoy. My only recommendation would be to look into replacing a few of the pans as they have seen better days.
The condo was well equipped with cleaning supplies for washing dirty cloths such as hamper, laundry detergent and nice washer/dryer. We like to keep the place tidy and it was nice to run the vacuum occasionally, espescially with a group of 6. You have just about everything you need to feel like you are at home in Kona!
The complex is very well maintained, quiet and the pool is a short walk away. We also took the kids on a short walk through the property to the shore and the tide pools for endless exploring when we didn’t feel like a drive. At the end of the trip we were all wishing that we booked for a few more days, hopefully we are able to return next year.

We really enjoyed our stay. Quiet community, with what seemed like a lot of local retired residents. The condo is close to everything and it was nice having the grocery store so close for quick trips. If you are into tennis or pickle ball this is a great place. Short walk to the shoreline to watch the sunsets. Easy drive to the local shops and restaurants. We’d stay here again.

Dennis provided outstanding communication from the booking process and throughout our stay! The property is as stunning as the pictures - so roomy and airy with a beautiful veranda and views. Everything you could need is provided - from beach gear to kitchen items - even some reusable shopping bags. It is a very short walk to the pool and the shore to see the waves crashing on the rocks and the most amazing sunsets. You can also see the sunset light up the sky and palm trees from the veranda but need to walk the block down to the shore with the angle of sun. The location was a short drive to stores and restaurants (kona brewery for fun lunch/happy hour, jackie reys for that lime ginger burre blanc sauce,
huggos for stunning view)
We stayed on 3 islands in 3 different properties, and this was definitely our favorite.

Was here with a friend for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time. The property is lovely - quiet but with opportunities for being active. There’s a gorgeous rocky cliff on the property and a nice beach a short walk away. The unit is a corner unit on the top floor so you have great windows and views. Would definitely stay here again!

The space was perfect for our family. You can see the ocean without getting out of bed in the owner's suite. The kitchen was fully stocked, bathrooms were comfortable and the bedrooms were more than enough for everyone! I would stay here again. The condo is on the 3rd floor located next to the stairwell. With this height you have a oceanview, along with views of the tennis/pickle ball courts.

We loved this property! And the hosts were wonderful. The condo itself and grounds were 100% as expected: fabulous. The condo was so comfortable and had everything we needed plus extras. Loved the top floor unit with high ceilings and ceiling fans. A/C units in each room kept the unit very comfortable. The view was lovely especially at sunset, and the wrap around deck provided plenty of outdoor space for our group. The two bedrooms plus living/dining were all very nicely appointed including nIce TVs, cable, etc (that we did not use) and the beds/bedding (including pull out) were very comfortable. The two full bathrooms and w/d area was handy for 5 people. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and all the appliances were very clean and in gently-used condition. The gated resort (including pool, tennis, bbq) was very well maintained and always quiet. It was a nice, short walk on the grounds to get to the beautiful shoreline and nearby beaches. Bike rentals nearby were fun to ride into downtown Kona. Condo included beach towels/chairs, swim items and snorkeling gear. The hosts of the property were great! Dennis provided clear instructions for easy check in / out and quickly responded to my email questions. Will definitely book the unit again. Mahalo!

We loved staying at this property. It is conveniently located to some of the popular beaches and away from the main hustle bustle. close to farmers markets and overall clean property with everything provided. Just the ice dispenser in the fridge does not work but have ice cube tray inside as substitute. the resort itself is clean and well maintained with swimming, table tennis and tennis. Clean washrooms and easy access. Lovely trees and birds to wake up in the morning and look at the ocean.

We stayed at Dennis’ place for the second half of our recent Big Island vacation. The condo was spacious and clean with amazing views (particularly during sunsets). The A/C was a welcome relief on the hot humid days. We really appreciated having beach chairs and an umbrella available as we used them nearly everyday. We found the mattress in the master bedroom too soft for our preferences. Some of the cookware is showing signs of wear and tear, and we found some pans hadn’t been cleaned well by previous guests so we had to wash them up before using. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and I was so relieved that Dennis honored bookings from the previous owners when he recently purchased the property. If you’re planning to do any driving around the island you might want to check out the Big Island Driving Guide by Shaka app - we found a lot of neat places in the area (and around the island) by using the app!

We were impressed with how well stocked it was from towels to kitchen items to all the ocean equipment. This place was true to the pictures on VRBO. We live on the island and the decor was beautiful, not "Hawaii gaudy tourist looking." Very modern with just the right touch of Hawaii.
One suggestion is a small rice cooker would be nice to have for the rice lovers.

My friend and I stayed at this condo for one week. It was exactly as advertised and as the pictures depict. It is nicely decorated in a very tasteful Hawaiian decor, and has pretty much everything you could need from kitchen supplies to beach gear. There is a large lanai with an ocean view, and you can also walk out on the property to the lava cliffs for a beautiful sunset. The grounds are lush with lots of pretty birds.
The location was perfect for us! Kahaluu Bay is just 1/2 a mile away, and the snorkeling is great. Keauhou Shopping Center is less than a mile up Alii Drive; the KTA Superstore there was great for groceries, including fresh poke.
We loved this 3rd floor, corner unit. Checking in and out was super easy. There is a combination to get into the gated property and another one to get into the condo. (So no worry about losing keys.) I would definitely stay here again!

Wow! Renting from Dennis was such a smooth and seamless process! Everything was very clean and the kitchen was full of supplies left from previous guests. The location was perfect for us during our vacation. We loved walking to the shore and enjoyed swimming the pool each night. Great shower water pressure and it was so convenient having a washer and dryer. Nothing bad to say, our stay was amazing!

My wife and I surprised our 14 and 18 year old daughters with our first vacation to Hawaii. This rental property could not have been more PERFECT. It was clean, safe, stunning view, beautiful on the inside (and outside). Amenities were anything a family would need to help their visit be perfect - plethora of beach accessories (chairs, boards, snorkel equipment, giant umbrella, and more). Kitchen had everything, if you wanted/needed to cook. Bathrooms were perfect, laundry machines were a huge plus, beds were SO comfortable, and the living areas were fabulous. THANK YOU to the amazing owners for giving us this much needed vacation - we hope we get the privilege of coming back, and coming back here! Highly recommend it!

When we walked in that first afternoon, we were stunned by how beautiful the place was -- from the furniture to the gleaming countertops to the gorgeous sliding doors looking out. If I could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness, I would! The place was eat-off-the-kitchen-floors clean. We kept saying, "This can't be a rental. This CAN'T be a rental!" The beds were super comfortable and we were appreciative of all the extras -- the coolers and beach chairs for us to use, etc. We had a couple of questions during our stay and we received prompt answers for from the owners. I rarely, rarely write reviews -- but I wanted to make sure I did for this one! Would definitely stay there again if we ever have a chance!
