Overall, it was a very nice place, a home away from home. We loved the Nutribullet blender and used it daily for smoothies. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious. The beach chairs were an invaluable part of our stay, allowing us to easily carry our snorkel equipment, etc. from the car to the beach. We were in a centralized location in Kona, making it easy to access beaches, shopping and restaurants. The complex, being right on the water's edge provided a great place to watch the waves and sunsets.
The downsides: the clocks were not set when we got there and for several of them, we just couldn't figure out how to set them. The kitchen wall clock simply stopped working...cleaning away the.corrosion and installing a new battery didn't help. We only got one roll of toilet paper and had to go out and buy more to make it through the stay. Two of the outlets in the kitchen didn't work, making it necessary to move appliances around to outlets that functioned. The fridge handle was loose and became semi detached, with no tools to fix it. The innards on the toilet could have used replacement: noise and some running. The parking lots were being resurfaced throughout our stay which caused some minor inconvenience. Guess it has to be done sometime, right?
Despite these maintenance projects/oversights, it was a pleasant and quiet place to stay.

Easy to locate. Parking close to unit.Door keys a little finicky but functional.No air conditioning but ceiling fans do enough along with breeze.Ground floor location is beneficial as no elevator at entire complex.Across from common pool and bbq area , easy access.No view of ocean to speak of, but short stroll to viewing area within the complex and sunset view.No chickens, coqui or goats around, but the ubiquitous tiny Hawaiian ants are present as they are almost everywhere (standard practice of food storage gets around them).Lacking some seating for the counter but did have a small workspace. WiFi solid.In unit washer/dryer was a nice bonus.Newer pots/pans and handy rice cooker.Quiet neighbors, though cars starting up and driving out of complex can be heard. Quick trip into town or onto the highway and convenient to shops and groceries.Budget minded and priced accordingly.

We enjoyed our stay! We appreciated the comfortable bed and large closet. The location is convenient and the complex was quiet. Enjoyed watching the sunset, ocean just a short walk from the unit. No AC or dishwasher.

Great location and condo complex. Many items need maintenance, refrigerator handle loose, windows loose and need maintenance. Pots and pans need to be non stick, really bad. Dishwasher super quiet because it is not there. Advertised hot tub non existent. The best part of the amenities was the bed.

The condo was easy to find, fantastic ocean views, clean, well stock of supplies, very comfortable bed, quiet & more! Although there is no A/C, there are extra fans to compensate. Mgmt company was easy to communicate. The price was terrific! I would definitely rent the same unit again next time.

Clean, quiet, close to downtown Kona, watched the sunset, by the ocean& the bed was very comfortable & has remote for extra comfort! No A/C but the added extra standup fans worked fine with me. Overall I would stay here again!

We had a wonderful time in this condo! Right next to the ocean, you can walk down and watch the sunset over the beautiful lava. An easy walk or drive to town. It was on the first floor so very easy to access, and the back lanai opened right to the pool gate. There is no air conditioning in the unit, but it was never a problem for us. We slept with the window in the bedroom open and even my husband, who is a very HOT sleeper, was totally comfortable. Very large living room so feel free to bring a yoga mat!

We were very satisfied with our stay at Ali'i Villas. We were surprised there wasn't ac but with the fans provided the temp was adequate for us. I would recommend that they invest in a keyless entry system, then no worries about lost keys and it is kind of a hassel putting the keys back in the lock box every time you leave. Nice place to watch the sunset!

Compared to previous rentals this one was disappointing. Convenient location. Beachfront applicable to parking lot only. Pool dated. No hottub. Dishwasher not present as advertised on Airbnb. Furniture dated. Bathroom and kitchen disappointing. Lanai offered little privacy. Bedroom window next to walkway.
